Spicy Orange Chicken (great for meal prep!)

Welcome to part three of my Asian freezer meal prep series. This is my spicy orange chicken, and she is so good, you guys.

Whether you want to eat it fresh or freeze to save for later, the spice level is definitely adaptable depending on your preferences, but for me personally, the spicier the better. I didn't realize until I started the series, too, how many people didn't know you can also freeze and reheat rice and have it come out tasting fresh.

To make the chicken, first coat it in a batter with cornstarch to get a little crispy and help the sauce stick. We're also going to toss a little orange zest in there. Then, after you brown the chicken, start on your sauce. Combine broth, orange juice and zest, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, brown sugar, and chili flakes.

Once it hits the pan, the sauce will start to thicken, and that's when we'll toss in our chicken to coat. This is totally optional, but I also threw in some onions for a little veg. And this all came out so good. Served on a bit of rice. I know you guys are going to love this one.
