In Romans 6, there's another devotional passage. Paul writes to the church in Rome and tells them, "We ought not use grace as an excuse to sin because he understands that the danger of grace is that you think you can now get away with stuff because God has been good to you in spite of how bad you were. And because God elevated you, you now think you've got a pass from the stuff you used to do."
Brother, I came by to tell you, the more God elevates, the more God expects. The higher God lifts you, the holier God expects you to live. The more God has blessed you with, the more disciplined God expects you to be. The more prayers God has answered, the more faithful God wants you to be. The more God has given you, the more he wants you to praise him for.
When you've been elevated, the expectation is more. [Applause]
