TENS+EMS | New Tech For Lower Back Pain Relief (The Secret Of SKG W9 Ultra You Should Know)

Oh my gosh, you guys, this feels amazing. I love it. I'm never taking it off.

I told you guys I was going to be back with another review. I could not help myself. You know I had to try this low back massager from SKG based on how I felt about the neck massager. As you guys know, I'm an athlete and just like I have neck pain currently right now, I also have back pain. Surprise, surprise, but hitting a volleyball over and over and over again does not treat your spine very well. So, I'm pretty much constantly sore on the left lower side of my back due to the angle that I'm hitting at. And this thing is a miracle worker. I seriously didn't know it could get much better after doing the G7 Pro review from SKG and how that felt on my neck, but the low back one ooh, watch out. And this isn't my first low back massager rodeo. I have two different devices that I've used prior to this one. And this is genuinely very different.

And thank you again to SKG for sending me this over to review. I am so eternally grateful for that because man is it amazing. But, as always with any of my product reviews, even though this was sent over, these opinions remain my own completely and I'm giving you guys my honest review cuz I want to make sure that you guys are getting the best products and devices and equipment that are going to be, you know, best suited for you.

All right, so again, right out of the box, the W9 Ultra had the same luxurious look and feel as the G7 Pro. It's [music] got a beautiful wrap around design with this nice little waist strap. The outer material is a breathable nylon micro yarn fabric, which feels amazing. And the inner area is this nice pliable silicone. So, my point is it does not feel cheap at all. Once you flip it over, you can see that there's these eight heating massage heads and these little beads. And these are 42 red light therapy points built [music] in right into the belt. I'll get into what those do in a second. Also, the strap adjusts up to 58 in, so it can genuinely fit a wide range of body types. Yeah, it fits super comfortably, very lightweight, very sleek. You could totally wear this under a loose shirt and nobody would know.

All right, so quick science breakdown. And if you watched my G7 Pro review of the neck massager, then some of this stuff will feel redundant, but if this is new to you, then definitely stick around because I think this is important stuff. Here's something worth understanding why the W9 Ultra is very different than your standard [music] like kneading back massager or heating pad. Most low back massagers that you get, like some of the ones I have, just kind of press and rub into the tissue. And that can feel good temporarily, but it doesn't really do much beyond that. So, the W9 takes a completely different approach. There's an EMS component, which stands for electrical muscle stimulation, and this can actually cause your lumbar muscles to contract and release. [music] When this happens over and over again with the stimulation, this contracting and releasing, it actually starts to [music] force some tension to release in that tissue. But, it can also increase blood flow to the area, helping to draw essential nutrients into the tissue and helps pump out any metabolic waste. Now, there's a TENS component, which stands for transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, and that simultaneously is running with the EMS and helping to block nerve pain signals to the brain. So, for somebody like me who had a very hard volleyball session on Sunday and really hit a couple of hard balls and felt my low back not so happy about that, I was able to put this on right away and within like 5 minutes, I was able to feel everything start to release and the pain start to dissipate and to stay that way for a good portion of the day, which then helped me do more of my rehab exercises to help keep my back strong without the pain getting in the way. And then you combine that TENS and EMS with the 850 nanometer near infrared [music] light, which is known to help reduce inflammation and promote deep tissue healing. And then you get [music] the wrap around heat design. You're just all around attacking that back pain from multiple angles and it feels [music] amazing. And then you throw in the vibration that it has, which is also amazing with these individual heads being able to vibrate different [music] points on the back. What a combo. So, if you're somebody who is an athlete or even a desk worker, manual labor worker, anybody who has low back tension, which [music] honestly at some point in our lives we all have struggled with, this belt is for you.

All right, so what is it like to actually use this device? First, again, similar to the neck massager I reviewed before, the intensity is fairly [music] strong. I've personally used TENS and EMS devices before and even with those, when you go to physical therapy, you usually have to work your way up little by little. The same goes for this thing. And I will say start low and build your way up. But, for a lot of people hearing this, that's probably going to be a game changer for you that they have the capability to have very strong intensity in their devices, which some folks are really, really going to want that. You can adjust and turn on the machine [music] on the belt itself and then control some of the intensity there, but it's best when paired [music] with the app. The app is called Futurewear and you can find it on, you know, an Apple device or Android. There's 14 different preset modes you can go through. There's six built in directly on the device itself and then there's eight more you can access just from the app. Like I mentioned with the EMS and TENS intensity, on the app that's called pulse intensity and you have nine levels to choose from. In the app, you can also personally tailor the heat level and the vibration intensity as well. It also comes with a handy dandy wireless remote, so if you don't want to control it from your phone, you can also use the remote instead.

Now, with any kind of modality that you use, consistency is key, right? And I think one of the best things that SKG does, not only with their back massager, but with their G7 Pro neck massager, is that they make their devices really sleek and simple and easy to use, [music] unlike some of the other ones that I have that are the kneading massagers that require to be corded and plugged in [music] and have a short cable and they're just kind of bulky and not easy to bring with you. But, no, with the W9 Ultra, it is super easy to just walk around with. You can travel with it. It's just really easy to use consistently because I can do things while I'm wearing it. And the battery life is great. It's 80 to 120 minutes, so fantastic battery life and recharging very simple and very easy. The belt is actually detachable as well, which is really cool and washable. So, at any point, if you want to detach it and wash it, you can do that. So, really a huge upgrade from any other back massager I've ever tried before.

Another bonus I want to mention here, yes, ladies, of course, you can flip this puppy around and put it on your stomach when it is that time of the month and it feels amazing. I turned down the intensity quite a bit on the EMS and TENS cuz I didn't really want that sensation, but with the heat and the vibration, ooh, boy does it feel good. I even wrapped this thing above my knee on my quad the other day and that also felt amazing on my really sore quad. So, the possibilities are endless.

Again, the only con I can think of when I'm reviewing this product is the same as the G7 Pro is that the intensity can be a little bit to get used [music] to if you're not used to the sensation of TENS or EMS. So, if you've never gone to PT before where they've had TENS stimulation or any kind of muscle stimulation on you, then it just might be a new sensation you're going to have to get used to and it might just come as a little bit of a shock. It's not really a true con because it's inherently part of the benefit of the device, but it just might not be for everybody, especially for people who are, you know, sensitive to those sensations. you can adapt that and turn that completely off from the app, so you don't have to have the TENS and EMS. You can still have the vibration and the heat, [music] which is still amazing.

If you're curious about trying this out for yourself, I put the link for the W9 Ultra down below in the description along with, you know, its sister product, the G7 Pro, which I reviewed earlier. So, those are both down there if you're curious and want to check them out. If you have any questions about my experience with the W9 Ultra or even the G7 Pro, the neck massager, feel free to drop them down below in the comments. I'm happy to answer them. I've had such a good experience with with these massagers that I think I don't think I'll ever need any other one.
