Hey, what's up everyone? Welcome back to Beyond Sundays. I am your host Levi. I'm here with Nick. Woohoo. And we're here with our wives. Let's go. First time on the on the pod, right? Yep. Long time listener, first time guest, first time friend. Yeah. What's your favorite episode? Ever. That's a tough question. Don't make me answer that. Okay. No, you're good. Ever. Tell us a little bit about yourselves, who you are. Starting with your name. We We didn't get to that yet. Sorry. I'm Jordan. I'm married to Nick. We have Navy and Henley as our two daughters. And I am an LPC on staff at Pregnancy Resources for like forever. Forever. Love it. Nice. Best place to work. Yeah. Casey Andrew. I'm Casey Britt. Um we also have two daughters, Mey and Banks. And um I work at FDLAC. So I work on the software side and I teach people how to use our software. And it's great. We've been married 11 years. You and I have been married. You and Nick, we've we've been married. Thank you for clarifying. Yeah. Right. I thought I should say that since that's a good average. Yeah. Almost 12 years on 12. Yeah. We'll be 13 years next month. Let's go. No, this month. This month. Yeah. May 25th. Today is May 1st. Mhm. Yay. Crazy. The weather is insane for May 1st. And I feel like the weather does outside, which is great. My face hurts so bad right now. All right, let's break it down. Break it down.

One of the main questions that I wanted to like ask you guys, not I mean, I want to keep it kind of serious, but also kind of funny, right? Is there something that like surprised you whenever you did get married? I know you guys dated for a little bit, but like when you got married, was there something that's like this is this was crazy? One of the things that surprised me was Nick's hobbies. I just didn't, you know, when we were dating, he didn't have those hobbies and then he like went full send into hobbies. Woodworking, building furniture, golfing, that's come back around. So, not a bad thing. Just, oh, you have these interests and talents. Didn't know. I don't think you even besides me, right? I I like you know how a lot of guys like will go from hobby to hobby. I haven't done that at least. You circle back around to you'll lay it down for a little bit and then you pick it back up. The golf thing. Golf. Yeah. But woodworking and furniture building, you've remained true to that. Remain true. Mhm. Mhm. Is that what you would say? What surprised you? Yeah. What surprised me? Just your hobbies. You woke up and you're like, I'm married. I got to have hobbies now. Uh, well, the reason I got into woodworking was because we had no money and I was like, "Well, we need furniture, so I guess I'll start doing that." And the first thing I made was a king-siz bed and just kept doing that. So, that's crazy. I didn't I didn't think that I would love it as much as I did. Yeah. Like right off the bat. So, that that was kind of the fact that I stuck with something that long this long has been kind of crazy. That is kind of wild.

Um, let's see. First things that I was surprised of, um, I think this is a problem that most guys will have like when they get married is thinking that certain marital activities are going to happen like all the time and realizing that's not how that works. um is initially what I think was surprising for me entering into marriage and that like there was so much more connection point that had to be made that needed like not just had but needed we needed connection points and I just didn't realize how much effort that took. Yeah. And so there was like a learning curve with that. But the cool thing was that we really we've been really intentional in our marriage the whole time. And so we've we've just like made that a priority. I love it. which again I did not think I would like do well and here we are happily married for 11 and a half years. Well done. Well done. Yes. Jordan is so graceful. That's funny. She is the most patient person in the world. That's so sweet. What about you guys? You go first.

So mine is uh I didn't realize it's similar how much you played video games. So sick. Um, it was a problem. Like it was a for real problem to where like I looked up and video gaming had become like the number two reason for divorce in 2013. And so um something really good came out of it though because we like set boundaries on that. And to this day Tuesdays and Thursdays are game days. Game nights. Game nights. Yeah. Not all day. Um that would be crazy. Can we re Can we restructure this? Yeah, you have to work, too. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And so, like, no questions asked, Tuesday, Thursday are game nights. And then you do a really good job of being like on a Saturday, you might say, "Hey, can I play for just a little bit tonight?" And I think usually I I'm okay with it. She's like, "Oh, man." Yeah. It's rare that I'm like, "I really miss you. I'd rather hang out." Most of the time I will just hang out. But you've also been good about laying that down in certain seasons, too. Yeah. Yeah. Like I mean even with BCM and stuff I don't game on Tuesdays. Yeah. You Yeah. You get a game night Thursday sometimes on the weekend. You know what's funny about Tuesday nights with the college like doing the college and young adult ministry is you know like we'll we usually end about 8:15 and kind of chitchat for a little bit. Levi Irish goodbyes almost every time. It's like he he's done better the past like month cuz I was like I but I want a hug. And so he's like, he'll actually come say hi now or like bye. Even if he's like across the room, it would be like I got to I got to say I would be leaving and Levi's just gone. I'm like, what? He just left. Like you would never do that. Levi is like all right, I'm done. There was a a research study that I Was it me that found it or you that found it? RS. You sent it to me. And it was like if you don't tell people by at like group gatherings, you save two two full days of your year. Yeah. Yeah. And I was like, man, that might be a full week for me. Yeah. So, here I am optimizing days. I don't know. I don't know if it's good or not, but here we are. It's It works. It's good for me. I guess it's happening for now. Yeah.

Levi, what surprised you about marriage? Um, for real it is. I thought I was going to be super restful and have great sleep. Turns out I didn't realize that Casey sleepwalks and goes a little crazy. Yeah. And even like like last night or two nights ago. It was last night. Yeah. What I do? It's like I came in I like I went up to get a snack like just a I don't know. Some munchies. Yeah. Munchies. came back and I crawled in bed and you're like and then you're like where did you go and I said I'm right here I was like I just got into bed and you're like no where did you go and you like freaked out you like went into like interrogation mode I don't remember that I don't know what was up but you something was on your brain that's hilarious yeah I don't remember that and then you're like wait hold on wait and then you just pass back out and I'm like okay okay we're done Yeah. But that's a regular occurrence. Yeah. So, which is why you're always tired. Yeah, I think so. Sorry. It's okay. You're probably tired, too. Yeah. Yeah. So enriching. Yeah.

So, what's something that like you guys do now that earlier, like 11 years ago, you yourselves would laugh at or smile about? It could be something good or bad or something that just would is funny. You want to take this one? You've you've probably thought about the questions more than I have. I don't have an answer for that one. That we would laugh at Man, I think for me what I would laugh at is I am not naturally a homebody at all. Like I would when we first got married, I would if I if I was not careful, I would be out like every single night of the week. not like doing crazy stuff, but I would just like go be with people. Yeah. And uh and in recent years, especially after we started having kids, like I just probably I prioritize being home a lot more. And we've our home now is also just like a place that we want to be um because we've made it that way. Um, but I think I would laugh at like how like I got a text last night of like, "Hey, come to this worship event, birthday party thing" thing and it's like I just want to be with my kids. I just want I also don't feel great. So I'm like that might be part of it, but I really I'm laughing at the fact that I would rather be home more often than not now. Yeah. And that like never used to be the case. Not because I didn't want to be with you. I just wanted to like Yeah. I'm way more I wanted to be adventurous and like socialize and stuff. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I can't think of something that we'd maybe laugh at. That would be interesting to go back and like see what we would laugh at. But I was going to say along the same lines of something that I think our younger selves would think is really fun or like you said smile at is like just the emphasis that we put on like being home and being a family. Like I just think it's living the dream. Like that's what we always wanted. And and so I think that the time that we do spend and the value and priority we've made around it would be something that our younger selves would be really happy with. Yeah. Mhm. Even even a day like today. So like today's Friday and we both have Fridays off and so today's a day where we're just like doing nothing. And that never like this morning we just sat in basically silence in our house which we don't get to do often and it was just nice like we chatted about we're going on a big trip in a couple weeks so we chat about that a little bit. We just like talked and I don't think that we talk the same way that we talked 12 13 years ago when we first started dating and getting married and everything. Like there's just there's so much equity in the relationship that I think if if we look if we were able to go back in time like look ahead and see that we'd be like who are these old people that Well, yeah. And like resting together. Yeah. Mhm. Like you were saying. Yeah.

How about y'all? Let's go. Do you have an answer? Yeah, I do. Actually, I thought about this. Um one thing that I would laugh at is that a we have a rain gauge. Okay. Yes, we we talk about actually it's like a it's like a I don't know a point of conversation with a lot of my conversations. It's like, "Dude, did you know how much rain we got?" My parents offered us a rain gauge like a few weeks ago and I was like, "Nick, do you want to put this in our backyard?" He was like, "Why would we need that?" And I kind of wanted it. It's awesome. And then we had a lot of rain and we don't know how much we've gotten. We love to know. Like we're like go check the rain gate. This is like an activity. This is the epitome of the joke of like Levi is turning 36 this year which basically means that he's 40 which means that he's 60. Yes. Like that's the epitome. It's good. You just Yeah. secured that joke forever. Oh yeah. I mean I just embrace it now. Like I I watch birds and I have a rain gauge and I mow my lawn. So I mow my lawn but I don't I don't watch I guess I do watch birds. You're not there yet. Soon paddle lawn. No. No. Don't speak that over. I don't want to read. It's like that one um like Instagram dude or whatever that like has the same stories as or he like has a bunch of um videos about like him becoming his dad, right? You know what I'm talking about? And then like all of a sudden he's like wearing like jean shorts and like New Balances with with tube socks. Yeah, that's what that That's kind of your style though. That's true. I would do that. I should get some of those. Yeah. Sorry. What What's your answer? Yeah, the rain gauge is a good one. I I actually was almost thinking them in the reverse because before we had kids, y'all, we washed dishes like once or twice a week. I am not kidding. When we built our house, we did a farmhouse sink so it could dishes. We could Oh, snap. I never knew this. We barely washed the dishes. We also didn't eat, not that we didn't eat every night, but like sometimes we just had cereal or we got we picked we ate out a lot or we would get fast food a lot. So, we didn't have dishes every day. And then I remember when me was born, I was like, "Okay, now we have to be adults and we have to wash dishes every day. We have to be adults now." That's a lot to add after also having a kid. I know. We I mean, it's sprinkled in there. It wasn't just like a like a hard like, "All right, we wake up every day, you know, and Yeah. But I'm also like I I can fall asleep very quickly with dishes still in the sink and it's fine. It doesn't bother me. Jordan would never do that. I know. Sorry. I know. It's like I think it's where we're most different. It's just like I'm like, "Yeah, the dishes, they've been in there for a minute. It's It'll be fine. There'll be There will be more tomorrow. I'll get them all tomorrow." And it just makes it harder. always more, you know, like whenever it just sits on there like you're like, "Oh, man." I know. Yeah. When we did wash the dishes back then, it was like an hour of washing dishes. So, we saved no time. Would you say that you enjoy doing dishes now? Oh, no. I hate it. Yeah, we both don't like it. It's It's terrible, dude. What? So, your younger self would laugh at the fact that y'all do all the dishes. She'd be like, "Wow, dude. Dishes is like that's dishes is break time. You're a real adult." Cuz like one of us, well, I don't know. Typically one of us will do dishes and the other will like hang out with the kids, but like at the time that we do dishes is like in between dinner and bedtime and so you never know what you're going to get. Yeah. And so it's kind of like break time. Sometimes they're in the other room screaming and you're like, I'm watching noise cancelling earphones and watch some YouTube. That's funny. And you're just like you're locked in. Locked in. Yeah. Just going. I think something else that's important to say is that Levi and Levi and Jordan have very similar personalities and Nick and I have very similar personalities. So, it's kind of funny cuz when you'll say stuff, Jordan, I'm like, I don't really identify with that. But then Nick will say something and I'm like, "Yes, that is so many of my friendships is that my friend's husband will be more like me." And then my friend will relate to Nick's personality more. And so sometimes I'll be like, you know, talking about something that's bothering me and they'll be like, "I'm on his side, man." Oh, I don't say that. I'm always on your side, Jordan. Crush it. Always on. Sorry, Casey. Sorry. No. And not in a bad way, but it's just funny. I'll be like, "Oh, I thought you were gonna like get me." And they're like, "No, I don't more like Nick and that like Yeah. But that's good cuz then it helps me humble myself and be able to be like, okay, you're so good. I don't think you really need to humble yourself. You're pretty humble. You're so good.

Next question. Okay. So, this one kind of goes along the same lines as humbling yourself. Not really, but kind of. Um, if someone sat in your home for a week to like just hang out or like observe, what would they see like what would they observe observe about like your marriage as a whole? And what would they like kind of what would be their takeaway? Casey, why don't you start with this one? Do you want to answer first? I also forgot the question. Oh, yeah. Someone chilling in your home. Like imagine like a relative or a friend or whatever who's like staying the week with you. and they're just like there and you're just hosting them, what would they say or what would they what would be their takeaway from like your marriage after like spending time with you for a week? Yeah, I think for us they would see us sharing the responsibility very well. Um, if it's my week to pick up banks, it's your week to cook dinner and then we flip-flop. Um, I take Melee to school, you take Banks to school. Um, we take turns putting the kids to bed and we're also very intentional about when when Banks goes to bed, which is around 7, that's now our time. Kind of like what um Beth was saying at the marriage conference like at Pursuit like Me is allowed to come in the room, but we're like, "Hey, this is our time. So like you need to go play or you can watch a show or like you can do something but like this is our time now. Um and it's like every night you know like 7:30 it's like that is our our time and we might we talk we watch movies we we're not we don't stay up super late so it's only a couple of hours. Yeah. You Yeah. I text I text 9:30. I text Levi at like 8:30 and don't get a response till 4:45 the next morning. We also don't we don't really check our phones after we're once we're in our space. We really don't check our phones very much. Um and I think they that you know somebody observing would see like we have a lot of intentionality. Like you're my best friend. like I want to hang out with you all the time. And now we have our girls, but our first priority relationship is still us. And I think that that's made evident by the way that we really share the parenting and then sharing our time together. Yeah, it's good. That's a good one. I thought I was your best friend. You are. Oh, okay. Yeah, I have a but also Oh, that makes sense. Okay, we can chill. So sick. Let's go. Um, your face. Uh, mine would be um, man, I would say like how intentional we are. I feel like we're pretty intentional as far as like um with our relationship and also with our kids um with Meen Banks. Um, we still have dinner at the dinner table which is really fun. Um, unless it's on a Friday night, then we have movie night. It's really easy. Yeah, we do that. Movie movie night. Let's go. You know, um I do say that like last night we did watch Mulan and it was Thursday night. So, we did the same because we're going to y'all's house tonight. We did. We had movie night in the living room with dinner. Yeah, that's exactly it. Like, you know. Yeah. No phones, just snuggles, just food. It was great. Banks had a little bit of a meltdown, but that's okay. Yeah, she's two, so she doesn't actually watch the whole movie, but that's okay. Yeah. Yeah, my business. Yeah, that's what I would say. My I'm similar to Casey. Um I was thinking they would see our partnership. Um we recently, this is geeky, but we recently we did this like assessment that was really helpful. um where each spouse answers all of the questions about the load that they share within just running your life and like the mental load, the just taking care of all of the things. And um when I took it, as I answered all these questions, what really was helpful and surprising to me was how often I really did answer that we were split down the middle in a lot of things. Because I know for me it can I can get really um selfish in it and think like I do so much and um just struggle with that and having to communicate about that mental load. But um so yeah, I think that people would see how much we do share the load and that we are really good partners. Um that like we just manage our home and our family in such a tandem like partnership and I'm very very grateful for that. And then the other thing I'd say is I think that people would like notice or maybe be surprised at like how goofy we are with each other. I was going to say that Um, and like that our humor, like even sometimes when I'm sharing like a story with someone about an interaction Nick and I had, they'll be like, "Really? Like you said that?" I'm like, "Yeah, but we're like joking with each other. We're not mean to each other." But we just have our own sense of humor together. And I think that that catches people off guard sometimes. And so I think that that would be something people would notice is like we have a lot of fun. same thing like you're my best friend and we just are goofy. Yeah. Yeah. Um I was going to say that too. I think that it would be surprising to a lot of people like especially with with kids like you know a lot of the college students whether they look up to us or not like they see us and they probably think like oh you've got everything figured out. It's like no we don't. We're just grown up idiots that are figuring stuff out too. But yeah, we just we like to have fun. We're we're silly. I used to be like incredibly sarcastic. I came from a sarcastic family and that's not something that Jordan appreciated. And that's that's been a big change in the way that we will juck with each other. It's not sarcastic. Um, it's just goofy and silly. I think that what people will notice about us is that we dream together. like our family and our in our marriage, we dream together really really well. Um, and what we dream up with the Lord and like what we have value for, we do. We don't just say it, we do it. Um, like if like we'll we'll work on it together if like I'm going to build something for the house or like um how we want to disciple the kids or something like that. Um, and and we'll actually do it. like we sit around the dinner table as well and we'll Wednesday nights are kind of like our disciplehip night with the kids and so we'll have a worship dance party and we'll talk about scripture and stuff and we've been teaching them prayers and scripture like we don't we're intentional about okay we said that this is a value for us so we're going to do it and then um I think that people will be surprised at Like people probably look at pastors and think like we've got it all figured out. We don't. But and we don't ever want to make people feel less than either about like there there is a high call to pastoral ministry and there's a lot of uh need with the Lord for everybody but especially like like for us to be able to do what we need to do. There's a lot of offloading that we need to give to the Lord. And I think people would be surprised at how how intentional we are about spending time together with the Lord in that. Um not as much recently, but we do get up at like 5:45 a.m. And uh Jordan's been sleeping in a little bit recently. She's been extra tired. Um but I'll I'll wake up at 5:45 and I just like write out prayers for the day and like for the season that I'm in. And then for this year reading through the Psalms. And so I just finished 150 Psalms and went back to start rereading that again. And um sometimes our kids get to see that and it's really cool and I I love it when they wake up a little bit early just because they see that. And so we're not just telling them, oh why don't you go Navy can read. Why don't you go read the Bible? Like we're showing her that we do that too. And I think that that's that's just something I want to ensure that is being instilled in them because while I know my parents read scripture, I never saw them read scripture. And so just a value to me to for that. That's good.

Do you have any other questions? Uh how many times have y'all been asked if y'all are twins or sisters? We haven't been asked, but we get mistaken for each other or or like Yeah. I guess asked if we're sisters. It for a while there it was at least once a week. Oh yes. Oh yeah. I remember I remember one time Pastor Jeffrey was like, "Well, Jordan's your sister though, right?" Like he just was like, "Well, yeah." Yeah. Levi is my brother-in-law. Yep. That's right. That is right. Sorry. Whenever whenever Levi came on staff, like that first uh staff worship and prayer day, Jeffrey like introduced Levi on staff and he's like, "And if you've never seen Levi and Nick's wives together, they look identical and it took me years to figure out who was who." Yeah. So funny. We embrace it. We're happy for it. Yeah. Yeah. It's like we love then like every time we be like, "Guess what someone said again. Somebody Yeah. Yeah. We'll text each other." Yeah. Anytime someone asks me, I'm like, "Yeah, they're sisters." Oh my god. That is where it came from. Sisters, I just lean into it. That's just how it goes. Even our kids. Even our kids. Our kids have mixed us up before from the back or like how they'll come up to like hug their mom or like just stand close. Me's like looked up at me and been like, "That's not I'm like, "Hey, my Yeah. Yeah. And Henley's done that to me and she looked at said, "Why are there two of you, mommy?" I'm like, "Where's the where's the other mommy?" Navy. That's Casey. That's so funny. Your own child. Wait, that was Navy or Henley? Navy. And Navy's known. We've all known each other for six years. Is that a while? Five years. The girl me was two, I think. Yeah. A little over five years now. It's fun. We I love it. Yeah, it is fun. Hey, that actually makes me think of another question. So, um, friendship, we've talked about friendship on the podcast, like yeah, having guy friendships and stuff like that, but how important is it to have couple friendships and not just like people that you hang out with, but people that you do life with? How important is that, especially in the way that we've all kind of done that? I've been so grateful for it. I think that um in the early years of our marriage, it was more so like I had my friends and you had your friends and like sometimes they crossed over or sometimes you were friends with my friends too, but we really didn't have until these more recent years like couples who we were both friends with and that we spent time together and like were living our our lives like as families together. And I think especially in these last few years of like going through really hard things and just the hard things of life, having couples who like I know that and I've even done this like I know that when we're in a hard place there have been times where I'll like literally text Levi and be like please reach out to Nick and like and I just know that there's that like camaraderie and like that he's got your back and that he's going to pour into you. And then but I also know that we I mean we've called them on really hard days and they show up and just the the fact that there's like relationship in every direction there versus it just being like well Casey's my good friend and you know sometimes in passing you see Levi where like we force you guys to hang out together. It's like not like that and that's kind of how it started a little bit. Yeah, that's been so refreshing um to have another couple that we as a family get to kind of live life with. And yeah, it's really I think I think that's really special. It's good. It's funny you talk about texting. Do you remember at Christmas this last year I texted Nick and I was like, "What should I get for Levi?" I was like, "Hey, get this. Get this. Get this." Yeah. And he was I think you said but I'm not going to tell you what I'm getting at him cuz I I already know or like you said something like that and you can't steal my ideas. Yeah. Yeah. No, I I love I'll have these moments when like we're at y'all's house. That's usually where we hang out is y'all's house. And our girls are running around in the background playing what doing whatever they're doing. and we're all sitting talking and I'm just like this is like heaven. Like it's so beautiful. Kids love to be together and like we love to be together. And also like growing up I didn't have a lot of friends that were strong Christians. Like they would call themselves Christians, but I don't think they were like really walking in that. And and I wasn't either. Um, but I love having friends that are like have a good strong faith and that we can talk about those things with and we know like we're on the same wavelength, I guess. You know, we know what's going on in each other's lives on more than just a surface level. like I know the things that you guys might be walking through or asking the Lord about and then vice versa. Yeah. And I I really appreciate that. Yeah. Sweet. It's nice to have like encouragement, you know, like you're still like running the race every day. I love running, but I mean it's just it's every day. I love lifting the race. But it's like the same thing where it's like you are sometimes you're dragging a little bit, you know, or sometimes like everything's going great. But either way, you're going to have people that are like still encouraging you, you know, and like like, "Hey, what's up?" You know? Um, that's what I love about it. It's like it's awesome. It's great. Yeah. I I've just been nostalgic this week and I've been looking back on like just thinking about the past 5 years that we've all known each other and just man it sometimes you want to force relationships and like oh I'm supposed like we should have couple friendships that are meaningful and impactful and like we have an amazing life group where we have like I don't know how many families now but a million felt like there was a billion children last week. Yeah. Cuz I think there was um 17 is basically a billion. Yeah. Um but how like within that you can see like how some couples have really matched up well, but we can all still come together and it's not like oh there's these little clicks and these little pockets, but like we can all be together knowing that there's closer relationships, but nobody's jealous of anything. Nobody's like, "Well, I wish that I was with them more and any of this." And so I like looking back on that I'm I'm just very I'm very grateful that there is relational equity um between like between us and like also with the rest of our life group. Um and it yeah when you were saying that it feels a little bit like heaven just being around the table like the word that I was thinking like remembering these moments that we've all had is like just safe. Like it feels safe and not forced at all. And that's kind of the point that I was trying to make is like sometimes we won't want to force things to happen. Um, and some people that might be listening to this might be like, well, I I don't have friendships like that. I don't have friendships around me that I can even see being like that. Um, I would just encourage you to find that within the church. And you'll be surprised at how quickly those relationships can grow. Like for us as a church, it's through life groups. You'd be surprised at how quickly those relationships can grow. cuz we did have other friendships that were strong Christian believers, but we didn't have relationships like this until we came to Beltway and started like really being intentional about, hey, we're going to what we what we say is what we want to do and so this is this is how we're going to start living life. And and I think um letting those people in on just the mess like whether that's physical literal mess of like we're we're having you over for dinner. It's wild and crazy. It's like a tornado came through and the kids are done and it's loud and we can barely talk to each other. Like it's crazy. Some of those moments are very overwhelming. But being will Yeah. Sometimes we're like so loud, stop screaming. Um, but being willing to like invite people in and be close and then also on the vulnerable side of like I think letting letting other people I think you build that trust by letting them come in in your mess. like how I was saying like inviting you guys in on some of our hardest days and like being up close and personal and like not shying away from that if you're the one being there for someone um being willing to step in but then also being willing to allow someone in. I think that that has built that relational equity that we have now um because we've lived those life moments together instead of it just being I think in the past what it was for Nick and I is like yeah we had friendships who were couples but it was a little bit more like you know maybe on a Sunday or the the few times a month we would see them it's like hey how are you how's your week and it was just it we but we didn't live life together and Um it's so worth it. It's so worth it to do that versus um just kind of sticking to your own bubble and not letting people in. So that's good. Yeah.

I wish I remembered all these numbers, but I know like when we took over leading the life group, I had just listened to a podcast where she talked about like this is how many hours it takes to feel like you're an acquaintance. This is how many hours it takes to be a friend. This is how many hours it takes. And it was like 120 hours. Yeah, it was. Yeah, it was maybe it was more like 200 hours to become like close friends. And we were like, "Okay, guys, if we're doing life group twoish hours a week for 52 weeks if we show up every week." Yes. And so like Yeah. We talked a lot about like being It wasn't going to be enough to even make the close friendship. And we were like, "So, it's got to be like, hey, we're going to the zoo on Saturday. Anyone want to come?" Yes. Like inviting people in. Y'all just did that. Yeah. Inviting people in on what you're doing. And it's hard to do that. It is. And sometimes it's like, "Okay, but if we invite them, then what are we going to do for lunch?" And like, but it like that's okay because like we're going to be friends in heaven someday, you know? Like we're going to be like we we brought people to the Lord together, you know, like we were on mission for the Lord together. Like that is so cool. It's worth the investment. Table. That'd be so sick. The table with all the good food. Yeah, that'd be great. Probably will be really, really, really, really, really good bread. Yo. Like your bread. Your chala nuggets. Tala bread. Tchala. Yeah. Not chala. Sorry. Is that um a superhero? Yes. Okay, cool. Are you Are you teasing me this whole time? You didn't know? It's called Chala. It's called He's from Marvel. I He's the Black Panther, right? Whoa. Let's go. It took you It took you a year and a half. No, I've been calling it Trolls, Casey. He does. I'm very gullible. pretty easy. I always have been. It's fun. It's part of it. Yeah, it's part of it.

Hey, so this is our final podcast allegedly. Yeah, allegedly. Allegedly. Um, so this whole time we've had just bunch of dudes on the couch um and like in chairs. Sarah. And Sarah. That's right. And Sarah. But like is there anything you want to say to the ladies out there in general? About anything? Yeah, sure. Why not? We'll just let the Holy Spirit the wives or what? N just ladies release huge question. Yeah, it's big. Sorry. Well, y'all y'all been like listening as we go, right? Yeah. So, like what are things that you wish the ladies would hear as we're as we're chatting it up? How do you feel about air mattresses? Oh, what's your what's your favorite Star Wars character? I can ask you all the random questions that I've been asking the whole time. Okay. Who is your favorite Disney princess? I know yours, right? Rapunzel. Yep. Rapunzel. I knew that cuz you guys dressed up like that for Halloween in college. In college. Yep. Yeah. That was a long time ago. Sorry. One of one of my college students did a deep dive on my Facebook and found pictures of me from college and I had a I had shaved my beard to have a goatee to look like Flynn Ryder and they're like, "What is this?" I was like, "We all do dumb stuff in college and facial hair was one of them." One day when we do our life map, you'll get to see these photos. You've got to do that. Next year. All right. Sunday. Next year we'll do it. Oh, wait. It can't be this anyway. Yeah. Why would I'm sorry I can't answer your questions. It's such a big question. I like the deeper questions. Sorry. You know what I think I would say? So whenever I think you've maybe shared that like your life was changed in 2022 going to boot camp. Yeah. I had been begging you to go to boot camp and you wouldn't go until Nick. And I think did I initiate that with you? Was I like I really want Levi to go. You should ask him to go. I don't think so. I don't remember cuz we weren't very close at that point. Like Jordan and I were were close. We had like up until that moment we had Levi and I had some pretty powerful moments but we're not as it was after that that we like got super super close. Right. And I think that's when we all got really close. But like sometimes there are things that no matter how many times you encourage it, like when it comes from another man that he respects or that he looks up to they can call them up like and then like after coming back from boot camp, you found a mentor and he called you up even more and just having like good friendships that called you up and there's like sometimes it's like you don't want to be nagging but you're like no you really I this is what this would be so good for you and um just encouraging other men to encourage your husband. Um, yeah. I think cuz you were never going to go if I didn't like I wasn't going to get you to go by sheer will. Perfect timing. Yeah. Well, I think the Lord used Nick. Yep. To then you were like, "Okay, well, I guess I'll go." And then like here, we would not be here today unless I went to a different boot camp, a different year. Booty shorts camp. I don't know. Sorry. I'm going to spiral into like the possibilities, right? Yeah. Lord is moving. Um I think about that though that like as his wife there's a lot of fruit that you guys are walking in because of the fervent prayer and like pleading with the Lord that you had Yeah. You know that you didn't give up and you were praying and you were hoping and all the things. So yeah, don't not do it like for Yeah. Sorry, that wasn't what I was trying to say. Yeah, but thank As you were before you started answering, I was just thinking about like I would not be who I am today if it weren't for Jordan having prayed like powerful prayers over me our whole marriage and and just like being willing to continue in those prayers, you know, like there was definitely there's probably potential and anointing or whatever you want to call it on that, but if she hadn't prayed for specific things to happen in in certain time frames of my life, I don't think we would be how we are today. Yeah. Um and so I just want to encourage the women, pray for your husbands. Yeah. Uh pray for your future husbands if you're single. Um pray for your guy friendss around you. Um they need encouragement. Uh not just from men, but from their sisters in Christ as well. And I think that's something that we get to share in a lot together is like we're constantly praying over each other and um continuing to encourage you and praying healing prayers. Yeah. It's been three years. Still praying. Let's go. Good. Good.

Final thoughts. Yeah. It's 12:51. By the way, for your thoughts. Marriage is awesome. Thoughts for your thoughts. Marriage. Marriage is awesome. Now wedge is what brings us together us together. That's how it ends. All right. Well, that all we got. Yeah. Allegedly, this is our last podcast. There might be a bonus episode. Uh if we can if we can make it happen. But uh comment if you enjoyed having us and we might show up again. I might break dance for you. I'm not sure. Who knows? Oh, he does do that. I'll do something. So sick. Yeah, I'll do something. But hey, it's been it's been a pleasure for us. We Levi and I have really enjoyed getting to the to do this podcast together and kind of just share these are the conversations that we just have and it might sound weird and like different than what you what you might have grown up with or expected, but we just wanted to show you what real life conversations are like um in close-knit friendship. And so that's just what we wanted to invite y'all into uh these past seven or eight potentially nine episodes. So we love you guys. Uh, we'll see you next time on Beyond Sunday's podcast. Will we see you? Maybe. Allegedly. Allegedly. Okay, bye. Sorry. Plot twist. JORDAN AND I ARE TAKING WHOA.
