So I wanted to show you the S+ channel here. This great thing about this channel is it helps reduce the detailing. It does that by this kind of uh dog earring type technique. So you can see the channel just bends in slightly which just pushes the corner of the rubber or helping you get into the corner that bit better.
So, I'll show you how this works in practice if we wet up this window here. Now, I'm just being a little bit careful about the way I wet up the window, trying not to uh get too much right to the edges of the window. If we notice there, it's actually pretty good. So, you notice very little detailing needed. Put down this. Get right in. There we go. Very little detailing.
Okay, let's just try one more time. Okay, we come down here. This side. There we go. Very little detailing. I really like it.
One thing I really try to do um is when I'm cutting this rubber, this is the this is a new channel and a new rubber that came with this channel. I find that's probably the limit of how much I want it sticking out. Um, if I'm cutting a rubber myself, I might even just What I want is just maybe two or 3 millm and and that will stop the rubber bending out too much, which will help keep it into the corners. It might depend whether you're using a hard rubber or a soft rubber, but I don't want the metal of the channel to knock against the edge of the frame. So, I want enough rubber sticking out so that that's not going to happen, but not too much so that the end of the rubber is going to flip up and it's going to limit um the effectiveness of the channel. So, it's really good if you have a no detailing approach to window cleaning. It's a really good one.
Just what I would say when uh about technique when you're using the channel as you come across um you see here you see if you come across like this and come down the window at this angle the corner of the rubber is just sticking out from the frame. So that's going to leave behind some detailing. So when you come across here, you want to make sure you get that corner of the rubber right into the edge of the window like that. So you want to come down the window at an angle like that so that you make sure you get that corner of the rubber right in there. That will help reduce the detailing if you just make sure you get that angle.
