Google's official Gemini account just posted the receipt. The flagship Ultra plan dropped from $250 to $200. And a brand new Ultra tier shipped at $100 a month. Same day, no warning. This is not a gift to consumers. It's a competitive shot at Chat GPT Pro.
Here's how the new letter works. There are now three named tiers. AI Plus at the bottom, AI Pro in the middle, and AI Ultra at the top. But Ultra splits into two pillars. $100 a month or $200 a month.
And here's what Google did not tell you. The blog never names the price of Plus, never names the price of Pro. But check the Google store. Plus is $7.99. Pro is $19.99. The 200 tier replaces the old 250 plan. The $100 Ultra is the real headline. Less than half the old flagship price.
So what does that 100 actually buy you? Five things ship at the $100 Ultra tier. Gemini 3.5 Flash, the new agentic model. Gemini Omni, the multimodal generator that creates from any input, text, images, or video. Google Antigravity, the agent first IDE, Google's answer to Cursor. 20 terabytes of storage. And the reason developers should pause, new code, Gemini Spark, the personal agent that runs across Gmail, Drive, and Calendar on your behalf. If you're a developer, this is the line that should make you stop scrolling.
But there is a catch. Gemini Spark, the agent that does everything Google just promised, is US only at launch. So is AI Inbox. So is Daily Brief. If you're outside the United States, your $100 buys you the model and the IDE, not the agent.
And the second catch, daily prompt limits are gone. The new currency is compute used, refreshing every 5 hours. A simple text prompt is cheap. A video prompt is not. The bar fills unpredictably.
Here's what you can use today. At $100 a month, you get five times the pro plan's usage limit. 20 terabytes of storage and YouTube Premium Lite bundled in.
