Transiting Sun to natal Venus

Sun transits Venus today, which is a wonderful topic because this brings relationships. Sun transits to Venus, Venus transits to Venus, Venus transits to Mars, Mars transits to Venus – they all bring relationships. So, when we're talking about Sun to Venus, um, we're talking about popularity and feeling confident, self-assured. It, uh, brings social activity, romantic activity, financial activity, and, um, these are just leisure-inspiring, recreational transits that do have an impact on our relationships, um, and that we can start a new relationship or we can smooth over any existing difficulties in current relationships.

So, the conjunction of Sun to Venus, um, means we, we feel like the life of the party. It is all about us when the Sun is conjunct to Venus. We get this every year, so look when this is because you're going to get this virtually every same day of every year. And this is when we feel like it's all about us. All eyes are on us. We feel assured. We want to participate in relationships and friendships. We feel glowy, and it brings us a lot of attention. It's a ton of attention.

And the relationships that begin under Sun-Venus transits tend to be ones that feed our confidence, our, our, our, you know, make us feel good about ourselves. Um, they're positive relationships. Um, I met my boyfriend recently, what, what, four months ago, when I had the Sun exactly conjunct to Venus. I know about these things, but I wasn't even particularly looking at it that day because I was busy flirting, because the Sun was conjunct to Venus that week. I was busy. I was out and about. I was out at concerts. I was out, you know, at music, chatting with dudes online, and, you know, picked from the cream of the crop because that's what we want to do when we have Sun conjunct Venus. We want the best. We want the best of everything. We want the best food, the best clothes, the best men.

We are having fun, and we're not concerned with details. We can't overspend with the Sun conjunct Venus. We have to be careful about what we decide to buy because we can find that it's not, um, it's not exactly useful. It was more frivolous, was what we wanted in a moment. And, uh, these are generally not the best financial decisions that we make, but financial opportunities are very good at this time. What comes to us, but what we do with what we already have is we have to be careful with that because we are into gratifying ourselves, or it's about excess, it's about partying. So, not much, um, can go wrong on this particular day.

This, this Sun transits to Venus, inner planet transits to inner planets, these are really good days if you're having long-term outer transits that are difficult, because these are the days within those longer cycles of difficulty that are good days. And we have to remember that, that even under the most stressful transit, like myself having Pluto square to the Moon for about a three-year period of time, it is an awful, awful transit. You virtually lose everything in your life. But hey, you can have good days within that.

Today, I actually had a really good day. Did you notice that, uh, Mercury and Venus are sextile? They're, they're sextile in the air, and then Venus is sextile my own Venus, and Mercury's trine to my Venus. I got like 500, 50 likes on Bumble today. 550 dudes hit me up just today. This is what happens when you have these kinds of transits. It's, I mean, usually I get like 25. You have these popular transits, and you will feel it. It's like your magnetism grows, and people, it's an energy. It's, you're attractive. Sun-Venus conjunction, you are extremely attractive. You want to be out and about. You don't want to be home. Nobody wants to be alone when we have a Sun-Venus conjunction. Everybody wants to find something to do.

And if you, if you watch this transit, if you watch most of these transits, you will be doing things. They just coincide with getting an invitation or, um, you know, I went and saw a local musician that I absolutely love on the day or the day before I had the conjunction. It is so much fun. So, put it on the calendar. Um, it, the opportunities that do come to us, the financial opportunities, generally are lasting. They are something that is showing a new cycle of, uh, enrichment.

Alrighty, so that brings us to the sextile, which is also very good. The sextile does favor friendships, the formation of friendships. That's what sextiles mean, right? Cooperative, friendly. I mean, friendships and Gemini stuff, third house, we associate with the sextile. So, when Sun is sextile to our natal Venus, we're popular again, but we are not spending on things that we want that day but may not need next week. What we're spending on is very useful, that these are things that have, continue to have value to us, because remember, Venus is value, is money, and it's appreciation. So, what we buy generally appreciates at the sextile. What we invest in will appreciate at the sextile. This is another transit that favors the formation of a new relationship, Sun sextile to Venus.

Um, it's not the loudest transit. You, you might, usually you're going to have to have some other things going on that are going to, uh, you know, support the formation of a relationship with this, but it is enough sometimes in itself, because we're, we're out there, we're sharing ourselves, we're, we're seeking people out. It's an energy. Attractiveness is an energy. It's not makeup, it's an energy, and it happens whether you're in the room with somebody or not. It happens whether you're sitting at home and you're dating online. It just happens. We are energetic beings, and I'm more and more convinced of this the older I get, and just the more evidence I see of the collective unconscious and the flow of things, and how there is this, there are unseen forces. And I, my teacher was so adamant about this. She, she was so rooted in this knowledge of connectivity, energetic exchange, unseen forces, and, and she was a whispering witch. She was a Bulgarian whispering witch. She had a lot of folk knowledge that, um, you know, that, that we don't have, at least in the West.

So, um, we like ourselves when the Sun is sextile to Venus. We're pleased with ourselves. There is a pleasure principle that is what draws others to us, draws attention, draws opportunities. Um, look at my nose. I don't think I had a ton. Oh, smoothing over, smoothing over relationships at the sextile and the trine. If we're in a relationship or we're experiencing conflict with somebody, the Sun sextile to Venus is the three-day period of time that you would want to address that or be in the presence of that person that you're having the conflict with, because you're probably just going to naturally, easily smooth things over or achieve some kind of [Music] um, resolution or make progress. It is a fun transit to get together with people because, seriously, we are not shy. We are laughing loud. We are participating. People like us, and we are selfish when we have Sun-Venus transits. We are selfish. It is that selfishness that is part of the attractiveness that we exude. There's a confidence there. There's a, a, a, a contentment to be ourselves that is what people want to be around. So, we're not trying to be attractive at Sun-Venus transits. We're, we're, we're not expending energy. It is natural. We just find ourselves taking up more space and, you know, showing more cleavage and doing whatever it is that we feel is, you know, going to make us feel a little bit more special, a little bit more sexy. These are sexy transits. Um, so, so yes, excellent for fixing things.

Uh, let's look at the square, which is not hard at all. Usually, uh, squares in transits do represent some kind of difficulty, some problem, uh, with past versus future. Um, we don't have a problem with the square other than overindulgence. We can be spendy, and like the conjunction, we can spend on things that aren't necessarily valuable. They please us now; they might not please us later. We have to watch how much, um, we indulge in extravagance or just what makes. I actually myself spent quite a bit of money at the conjunction and probably shouldn't have done that, but I wanted those shoes. So, these are the things that we buy, like they, a jug shed in the square, like they probably didn't need it, um, but I really wanted it. Uh, it's probably not going to appreciate, but I appreciate it. Uh, at this, at the sextile and the trine, we make much better decisions about what it is that we actually want. Um, but at the square, are rather lazy. We are again self-indulgent. We are eating more sweets, more carbs, more things that taste good today. Uh, "Lifetime on the lip, you know, moment on the lips, lifetime on the hips," that would be the motto for the square from Sun to Venus. So, we just have to watch ourselves. We're laughing very loudly. We're engaging in social participation. This is another transit where we could start, starting a relationship. Um, it is, it's a, it's, it's a good relationship. They could start under the square, but because we are [Music] so in such a party mode, it, it's not always a relationship that we associate, know, with great wisdom. Um, these are personal transits, yeah, very personal. We don't associate the square with great wisdom in a relationship. It's more about, you know, enjoyment and laughter and, um, partying. And it, I think it's, it's, it's great because we can have plenty of other serious things going on. Um, it doesn't mean that relationships will be bad at all. They just have a sort of a youthful levity about them, um, when we start them around this time because that's the mood that we were in when we attracted that energy to us. That's why when we have transits that we associate with starting a relationship, we know what kind of relationship or what tone that relationship is likely to be because of the mood that you were in under that transit when you attracted the relationship. So, that's why you have fun relationships or positive relationships with Sun-Venus transits. We have more sexual relationships with, say, Mars to Venus transits, or selfish transits, or self-gratifying transits in the sense that we're taking something with from something else, somebody else. But with Sun-Venus, we are very concerned with giving. We are concerned with supplying. We don't want something that is just for ourselves. Now, we are more selfish in the sense that we are Beyoncé for a day, and it is all about us, and we want to glam it up. And, and, but it's not selfish like turn into a malignant narcissist. It, it's, it doesn't have an impact on our character. Um, it's more just like we, we want to play, and we have playful relationships that begin for us under these transits.

The, the square, we are probably not going to work very hard. We're probably not going to earn very hard. We'll probably eat a lot of angel food cake, pasta, maybe have hot chocolate for breakfast. We're not making the best decisions regarding discipline. We're not making any good decisions on this day regarding discipline. We just want what we want. So, look at it like the day that you get to enjoy a second birthday, the Sun square to Venus. You just get to do whatever you want that day. Just give yourself permission to do whatever you want that day. Seriously, seriously, it's not going to hurt you unless you overspend or you overeat or you overdrink. Just don't over, over, over. You can over, but don't over, over. We're supposed to over, but if we over, over, that's where we get in trouble. So, overdo it, but don't overdo it to the point that you have serious consequences. Um, we can, under the square, we can, we can lose our sense of what is good for us because we, we want more. If you already have very indulgent aspects in your chart, say if you already have an aspect from Venus to Jupiter, um, it could be that you indulge more. Myself, I have a bi-quintile from Venus to Jupiter. I'm very guilty of overbuying and overdoing and overeating when I have Sun transits to Venus. Generally, it's not harmful. Um, we just have to be careful. Yeah, I get it. Yes, yes, yes. Uh, these could be expensive days, especially if they have a square from Venus to Jupiter.

Um, so let's look at, um, oh, oh, oh, oh, no, no, no, I'm sorry. Before we move on, we can be too lazy and passive when we have the square from Sun to Venus. That can have some consequences. Um, it, uh, we can get in trouble when it comes to work or meeting our deadlines. Maybe we promise we'd do the dishes that day and we decide to watch soap operas instead. These are not enormous consequences that we experience, but they can have effects in our close relationships because we're not behaving ourselves very well. We're kind of thinking about what we want when we want it. So, we might get a bit of a kick in the pants, but it's not like a Moon-Mars transit or something where we could have a significant argument that could really sting, you know. It's more like somebody reminds us, "That's your second bag of potato chips, really?" Really, we, it's, it's okay generally.

So, that brings us to the trine, which is another relationship transit. Relationships that develop under the trine can be very good, um, because we're actually pretty level-headed. The sextile and the trine, we're not overspending, we're not overeating, we're not oversleeping. We're getting things more right when it comes to our indulgence. So, still all about us, but we're incorporating others in that too. With the sextile or the trine, we, we are feeling more popular. We are feeling like we want to do things, but we want to do things with others. With the harder transits, the conjunction, the square, the opposition, we want to do things in front of others, but we want to do things more with, um, cooperatively with the trine or the sextile.

So, I'm just going to make a note here to communicate with you, S, before I go on any farther here. Look, I got a new iPad today, and I just set it up. That's my kids, that's my babies. You probably can't see them. No, oh, there they are, there's my babies. Uh, now I can access, um, my email, pictures, Facebook. Notice I haven't posted on Facebook in a month. Broken devices. So, I will be back. So, I'm just, what is this? So, this is my ex-husband's office. So, I'll just use this here. Uh, awesome, we'll make up for lost time.

All right, so the trine, we are positive, we're happy. It is more common than it is a romantic interest, a romantic relationship that will, will start more than a friendship. Now, under the sextile, it could be romantic, it could be friendship, but friendship is very common under the sextile. It's more common for just romance under the trine. We want to be out dancing. We want to be out enjoying ourselves. We're feeling romantic. Uh, we're not bothered by much. The investments we make are wise under the trine. What we buy, who we invest in, who we decide we want investing in us, these are good decisions because we're not over and we're not underdoing it, and we are considering who it is more that we're in relationship with, um, rather than the attention that we're looking for into the difficult transits. Um, this is also an excellent transit to work things out. Conflict is something that we can really, really make progress, uh, regarding because we're, we're friendly. It, it's, it's easy to talk to us. Others respond to that. They feel an invitation to share. They feel an invitation to open up, to connect because again, there's an energy that we're putting out there. There's an openness that's showing in our expression that really invites people to be friendly themselves. So, we'll receive more compliments on these days. Uh, people just tell us, you know, more to have a nice day. We'll have more cursory conversations with whoever it is that we happen, uh, to come across. So, it's a, it's a fabulous time. Um, it's a good time to buy things. Yes, we don't waste our money. We don't waste our time like we do either at the square or at the conjunction or at the opposition. We don't waste at the trine at all. It's efficiency. We're efficient with how we give our attention, how we connect with people. Um, whatever it is that we choose to buy, it's just enough. It's just right. So, these could be very sharp relationships that begin under the trine. It's going to be very suitable relationships because we are thinking clearly now when it comes to, you know, assessing the value of ourselves and others, and, and we want to be seen, but we want that to be in concert with seeing another person, seeing others. So, people, people like us when we have the trine. So, put yourself out there. Um, you know, find something social to do when you have this one. And if there's somebody that you've been waiting to communicate with, to start a relationship with, this would be the day to sink into their message box and see what's going on there.

So, let's look at the opposition. This is also pleasant. This is not a difficult transit for most people, unless, unless you have a convergence of things. If you have other things going on, say difficult Mars transits to Venus or to the Moon or, uh, to the Sun, if you have a pileup of stressors, this one can trigger some, I don't want to say confrontations, but some conversations with others because oppositions are about balance. And hey, that's a good one, yeah. Vision with others, um, so it's, it's a, it's a day where we really do want to enjoy ourselves, but we also have to take strong to account how that is affecting others. We have to look at what are the reactions that we're causing because others are reactive to us because we can be particularly concerned with our own thing and not know that we know we're self-absorbed at the conjunction, and we are all about me, but we're not that much aware at the opposition. Others reflect that to us, though, that, you know, "Haven't you noticed that you've been, you know, focused on your own thing, and you told me that you would hang this picture, and you, you know, messing with your fake eyelashes for two hours?" That kind of thing. So, they bring our attention back to how can we balance ourselves with another and ensure that they also have a good day. This is the good part about it. They bring our attention to, "Hey, you didn't hang that shelf for me!" Like, "Oh, well, let me finish up here at this 16th eyelash. I'm going to get over there because I want to make sure that I look good for you so we can go out to dinner." You see, we want to make sure that the other person is happy. We are concerned because they are a part of our leisure activity that day, and we want to ensure that both of us are doing well so that we can go out and have fun and enjoy each other's company. And, um, there may be some minor conflicts, minor conflicts regarding where our attention's going, you know, where our, our money might be going, uh, and people will redirect us, but it is generally gentle. I, you know, it's on, I didn't wear my fake eyelashes today, but, uh, probably will tomorrow. So, there's a strong element of beauty and satisfaction and leisure and partying, but with another. Uh, it's not as common that we will begin a relationship, a new relationship, under the opposition. It's more about seeing our part in relationship with another in an existing relationship, um, and looking at the effect that we really have there so we can have a better time, so we can all love each other more and enjoy each other more and eat more and drink more and party more. So, these are not terribly serious, these are not serious transits at all, actually. These are not transits that, um, are going to make you or break you, uh, but they are often present when we begin a new relationship, and it doesn't need to be a significant relationship. These are not Uranian transits. It does not imply that it will be a transient or short relationship or an explosive relationship or psychedelic relationship or an unstable relationship. It's not Uranian in nature. Um, it, it may not be a long-lasting relationship, but it is, but we don't know under these particular transits. We, the transits of Sun to Venus, that, that doesn't tell us if it will be a long or short-term relationship. We know, say, Uranus to Venus, Venus to Uranus transits, those are more ephemeral, short-term relationships because of the mood that we're in. But Sun-Venus transits, they may be something that is present in a relationship that is weeks to months to years. Um, we, we just don't know. So, we want to look at other things, you know, do you have Saturn transits to Venus, um, at the same time? Do you have Saturn transits to the descendant or to an angle? We can look at other things. It can tell us, is the relationship that begins under a Sun-Venus transit likely to be longer or shorter? Um, but it, it could be long, it could be short with these. It, it, it, we, we don't know for sure in itself.

So, let me look at my other Sun opposition. [Music] Okay, so we do not want to be alone. That's one of the big things under the opposition, and this is why we feel compelled to address and respond to others, um, especially in response to how they've responded to us, because we don't want to be alone. We, we know that, "Hey, if I don't pick this up, if I don't solve this, if there's conflict here, I'm going to be drinking alone tonight," and that's the last thing we want. So, it, we do have our own intention in mind. There is a selfish intent with, with Sun-Venus transits, if, if with the opposition too, because basically at the heart of it is, "I want to have a good time, and I can't have a good time if you're not coming with me." So, we are, um, we're, we are easy to get along with. Um, I think our selfishness is harmless, and, and you need to go and get your hair done, your nails done. You need to go shopping. You need to beautify yourself under all the Sun-Venus transits, all of them. You may not want to overdo it, and when you're having the square, you may want to consult a professional about the hair color you're considering because we, we're not always in our classiest mind, you know, we're kind of overtaken in the moment, you know, "I want blue hair today," but maybe we won't tomorrow. So, I'd say under the square, just be a little bit more, more careful about the decisions you make, but get a massage, get your hair done, indulge yourself, get a body wax, whatever it is that you're not used to paying for. That, those are the things that we have permission to do on those days. That's why we're driven to it. We are supposed to pay attention to ourselves and our needs and, and, um, enjoy the attention of others. So, these are the days out of the year where our vanity is blessed by the universe, my friends, and you can feel completely good about saying no to this and this and this and this responsibility and just putting it off till tomorrow because tomorrow is another day, and tonight is when we party. So, we all turn a little bit Greek on these days, and we party all night long. So, um, all right, so I think that's about it. That's all I have to say, basically. Um, I will open for some questions.

I think we had a comment here. Um, Tusa, "Someone I know got divorced when Transit Uranus was conjunct to his natal Venus." To conjunction, that is extremely common. Extremely common. Uranus to Venus is a divorce transit. The conjunction, the opposition, the square, particularly the conjunction or the opposition. So, yeah, extremely common. If you're on thin ice, and then you get a Uranus transit to your Venus, good luck. You are going through that ice because if, if the structure isn't good, it, it just creates this need for us to be free and this need for us to explore that a relationship that's not working for us, it can't frame us anymore. It just simply can't hold us back. We find that it's not worth it because this need to explore, break free, just becomes so unavoidable. So, yeah, we're going to get to those transits soon.

Uh, Y. Hey, Joel, I have three questions. So, um, the first one is that because natally I have Venus inconjunct to my ascendant, and so when the Sun is sextile to my Venus, there's going to be a Yod, and my ascendant being the apex, how do you, how do you explain that? Okay, so I'm trying to picture it. So, yeah, uh, ascendant, uh, inconjunct to my Venus. So, when the transit Sun is forming a sextile to another, so, so that's the Sun also inconjunct to my ascendant, but then they are sextile. Okay, so Sun and Venus are inconjunct, and then when you get a transit from, yeah, you're right, yeah. So, Sun will be sextile to Venus, inconjunct to the ascendant at the same time. That's what you're saying, right? Yeah. And so, that's a Yod. So, how do you, Yod, is it a good day or a bad day? What's going on there?

Well, it's, it's, it's still going to be good. Um, it, it, and that you're going to get the good stuff out of the sextile from the Sun to Venus, but the Sun being inconjunct to the ascendant, we are less inclined to be a show-off on that particular day. So, it's going to make it, you're still going to get all the good things with a sextile. You're probably not going to be as obnoxious or vain or, you, you're probably going to even feel that you want to be out there. You're, because that sextile energy is going to be operating, you know, "I want to socialize, I want to cooperate," but because the Sun is inconjunction with the ascendant, there can be some holding back or some feeling of, "Oh, but I might be judged." I think the sextile is going to override it. I think that you will have some, maybe some thoughts like, "Oh, I really want to go to this concert, but, oh, you know, I, I needed a haircut like last week, but I want to go so bad that I just don't care." You know, "I can wear a beanie." It's these kinds of decisions that we make, like, "H, you know, my vanity, or I don't want to be seen, or I'm, I'm not feeling quite perfect, or I might be judged, but I, you know, I just got to enjoy myself anyway." So, I, I think the sextile is going to be entirely more powerful. So, you know, just make sure that you, you know, you got a hair out before he gets there. So, okay, feeling good. So, it's like a, it's like a leap of faith, right? I think so, yeah. In passing, inconjunctions to the ascendant, they, they do give us a few days where we're, we're feeling less, um, physically capable or, or are feeling more shy or like we want to hide away or we don't want to put. It's actually good, but, but it's actually good because it is sextile to my Venus. That's what you're saying. Yeah, it's very, it's, it's very good, but it's just the inconjunction part. It will be operating at the same time, but I think you're going to punch through that because that need to, you know, that need to do things that are fun, it's just more powerful. Okay, thank you.

And the second question is, um, because also my Venus is at the zero degrees, so does, does it mean that I will not get the building up when the transit Sun is still at the previous sign? You do. It is. Yeah, that's such a weird thing when we have that. That happens to my Moon too. So, I have my Moon at 29 degrees. Um, we do get the buildup, but, and with the Sun, it's, it's actually, it's not impacted by the fact that it's changing signs like it is with other planets because we have a cusp with the Sun. We do not have a cusp with other planets. So, there's a, I, I would say that there is, if not the 100% effect that we feel when a planet is in a sign, it's at least 80%. The buildup is still there. All that's good. That's good enough. So, yeah, it's, it is good enough. And for some transits, that's probably even better because it cuts off some of the bad stuff just a little bit. Okay, thank you.

And then the third question is that, um, I assume, well, I mean, I mean, being an artist that, um, a lot of time we have to pick a date to show our works, and I think this is also what you're saying can be the time because it is also vanity-based and showing of their works is also part of that. And so, my question is, can we do that during the, like, the square and the opposition? Yes, absolutely, absolutely. Any of the transits is good for that, but Venus transits to the Sun is even better. The Sun to Venus for that, yeah, you'll get a whole week of amazingness out of that, uh, with a peak three days and a peak, you know, crescendo day. But, um, yeah, Venus to Jupiter, Jupiter to Venus, um, oh, interesting, Cilia. Uh, yeah, Venus to Uranus can also bring unexpected, um, attention, unexpected rewards. So, yeah, that can also be a really good day when it comes to getting our, extending our network and gaining popularity. Mercury-Venus transits also, uh, or Venus transits to Mercury, particularly Mercury, though, to Venus, like I'm having right now, the trine, where I'm like, "I haven't done anything, but I am more popular." That is a great, the sextile of, of Mercury to Venus or the trine of Mercury to Venus, either of them are a day when we are, um, putting out this friendliness, this warmth, this invitation for others to communicate and share with us. So, those are also great days to make connections, network, and sell ourselves in a way that makes sense. So, yeah, there'll be several transits that could be helpful for you for that.

So, okay, for example, if we have to pick, say, we have two dates. One is the date to sell our tickets, the other day is to perform. And then we can only take one good day for that Venus, a Sun to Venus transit. Which one would you say is a more potent one or more important? The day, you know, using, picking the day, and one is, you know, the selling ticket, but the other one is the actual show. I would do the show either at this, the conjunction, optimally, or at the square, if you can. But the optimal time would be the conjunction. And then the selling, the, um, that would either be the sextile or the trine because either one of those are about dissemination or about spreading of something. Um, so the trine would be really good for that because that's when, because that, that's of the ninth house, it's of Jupiter, and that's where we broadcast something, right? Uh-huh, advertising, selling. So, advertising, I'd say at the trine. The actual selling of the sextile. Uh, the performance at the conjunction, if you can, although we definitely want to ham it up at the square. Uh, but it, it's just that the amount of attention that we bring at the conjunction is just off the charts. It's just, I, I, I have so much fun this summer because I had retrograde Venus go past my, well, go, it go forward past my Venus, and it stationed on my Sun, and it came back to my Venus again, and then it went. So, it was just like a whole month of concerts and being outside and picnics and partying and haircuts and nail polish. So, it, it, the conjunction is when we are reveling in our self, and when we have that energy, h, when we're enjoying ourself, enjoying who we are, loving being in our own skin, that is magnetic for a performer. That's like something that we just cannot take our eyes off of because they are having fun. They are into it. So, the conjunction, optimally, if you can. Okay, wow, that's awesome. Um, all right, so I think we're going to wrap it up for now. Uh, my ex-husband's going to take me out for dinner tonight. Yay, go, got spaghetti. He's a nice dude. All right, so we will meet up again next week, same day, same time, and we will talk about Sun transits to Mars, which are also very interesting and do not bring the kinds of ease that Sun transits to Venus bring. They usually bring some measure of conflict or, um, need to assert ourselves or do something with our creative or sexual energy. So, they're interesting.
