In the present moment, you will find pure exhilaration. You will find calm in the midst of the storm. You will find that you have your highest level of coordination. You will not be distracted. You will have hyper focus.
In the present moment, everything slows down. You are able to control the defender. The crowd disappears. The pressure disappears. You are in a pristine place. You're in a state of joy, in a passionate state.
Everything is effortless. You're on automatic. Your subconscious mind is fully activated and the conscious mind is very quiet. You can train yourself to get into the present moment. Calm your breath, calm your body, calm your mind.
In the present moment, there's no past and no future. There's pure bravery. There's pure boldness. This is instinct. This is killer instinct. This is wanting to take the last shot.
Staying in the present moment is the secret to the zone. This is the heart of the lion. It's the dog. There's no fatigue. There's ice in your veins. There's fire in your eyes.
When you're in the present moment, you step into a world of total focus where you are almost all alone, where you feel most at home. In the present moment, you are your very, very best, and you are among the very, very best. He would say, "Why would I think about missing a shot I haven't taken?"
