I want to ask you, how many of you always say to God, "Lord, do something, my life has become upset, I have become sad." How many people are there who see everything is messed up, yet remain happy because they know a way will be found. Why do I always tell each one of you to grow in faith, grow in faith, grow in faith? The Bible says, "Rejoice in the Lord always." It is not written standing alone. How was there joy? Think, we need some money, we are wandering here and there. But we find a place where they say, "Here, I will give it, you can return it, sir." Stress is removed because hope has come within you that now I will get money. Do you know, there was a time when God didn't even look at the faith of the Israelites. God gave them just like that. But God wanted these people to learn to walk by faith. Do you want to know what this means? Until you take a step, until you put your foot forward, I will not divide that ocean, that river. In the beginning, God was teaching them like children. But now God was telling them, listen, I have divided the sea for you, I have shown it to you, and you became happy. Now I want to tell you, now when you move forward and things are not according to your wishes, you will still keep moving. I have seen that in stress, people's life pace slows down, many tasks are left undone. You meet them, you tell them the whole story, this happened, this happened, this happened, this happened. Tell me, what did I say? [Music] You said well. Whatever you said, tell me. You know, many times you don't even realize you are lost. Why? What is the issue? The Bible says that whoever comes to God must believe, because only through faith does he become happy. Have you ever thought about this? What was the reason for those 20 lakh Israelites for whom manna descended every day, their sandals did not wear out, none of them were sick. And the Bible says in the end, God was not pleased with them. But what was it about Jesus Christ, who did not perform any miracles, did nothing, but before coming into ministry, it was said about him, "I am pleased with him." Can you believe it? There was a contingent in the Bible whose food came from above, not from the kitchen. Every day, no doubt, they got the same food, but it was fresh every day. The Lord said to me, "There is only one Bible, right?" I said, "Yes, Lord, only one Bible." You know, it came fresh every day. Food descended every day. Do you know, think about it, when an eight-year-old child came out from there, how big would his feet be? So small. When he became 40 years old, how big would his feet be? So big. So now I have a question: Was there a footwear shop in the desert? While walking, he told his daddy, "Daddy, change my slippers, they are rubber, give me real steel ones." How did these slippers grow? Do you know, this was a miracle in the deserts. As their feet grew, their slippers also grew. Their slippers were growing. They were getting food. One day these people said, "We are tired of vegetables, we want some meat." The Lord said, "Okay, I will feed you so much that it comes out of your nose." And the Lord fed them meat. Forget this, the Lord made water come out of rocks for them. You try to do that. Even after doing all this, it is written in the Hebrews, "I am not pleased with him." The proof of miracles happening in your life is not that the Lord is pleased with you. It also happened for those with whom the Lord was not pleased. But have you ever thought? It was said for this group, but for Jesus Christ it was said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Do you know the reason? Those 20 lakh people walked in faith, but that one person walked by faith. [Music] Do you know what is the proof of giving faith? What is the reason? Sorry, not proof, reason. Have you ever thought why the Lord has placed faith in you? Faith is substance. Why has it been placed within you? The reason is, the Lord could have made you like a robot, saying, "You will believe in Jesus as Lord from childhood, etc." Why did he place faith in your hand? The main purpose of giving faith is that a person can remain happy even in his trials, by believing that God is the way, God is the... But if you are not in faith, then let me tell you, even no doctor can save you from being depressed. I will tell you a true story, a true incident. Four months before lockdown, a family came to meet me from Goregaon, Mumbai. I initially avoided them, saying, "You are coming from so far, just call, we can talk." They said, "No, we need to meet." So they came, husband and wife. [Music] After meeting, they shared their problem with me. That sister, to have a child, she changed at least 9 doctors in Maharashtra. Everywhere she was told, "This doctor has not spoken correctly, there is something else." From everywhere she was saying, "Brother, I am not getting a child, etc." And in my life, I have never seen such a depressed woman, so disturbed. She said, "Brother, please, I have remarried, and I want to have a child. Whether I get a son or a daughter, I have no complaint, but I want it." Her husband was sitting a little behind her. She was sitting in front, and her husband was signaling me from behind, doing things like this. So I didn't understand why he wasn't sitting with her, why he was sitting behind. Actually, he was telling me from afar, "Whatever she is saying, listen to it a little. She is exaggerating, saying it repeatedly." So I told him, "It's okay." She was so sad. At the end, when they were leaving, they asked me, "Can you give us one word that we can say in every single despair?" I told the mother, "Sir, your problem is not that you don't have a child. Your problem is that you don't have faith." Do you know, where faith is not present, depression is present. What do you think is your problem? What is your problem? [Music] Have you ever thought, why do some people remain so happy? Why can't you? Have you ever seen, why do some people remain supremely happy in their lives? I was going from the village, a man was taking his little doll, like the ones the milkmen take in the morning, with handlebars, and putting her on a cycle, taking a selfie with his child. My driver, where we were going for a meeting, he stopped for two minutes, and I was watching them. There was a small doll sitting on the cycle, her daddy was taking her selfie. No hair was styled. I was thinking, Lord, even people wandering in the mall are not this happy. They go to the mall, create a scene, take 15-20 photos. Where is this child taking photos? She will stand there. Some sister, some brother, first from here, then from here, then from here. Later, they will bring their own phone, stand like this. Now take the phone, smart, but foolish. Listen. Now, you know, all this is happening nowadays. Now tell me, how happy were those children? Why can't we be? You can be supremely happy in your life when you start walking by faith. In olden times, God shows a miracle like this: "You have no part, I am doing this for you." But there comes a time in life when God asks you to walk by faith, to move forward. What an amazing miracle it was that they took a step, and the river parted into two, the water stopped flowing, and they walked through the dry land.
