I it it does not I cannot follow it through.

This started out as an NLP parts integration demonstration for the students in my coaching program and ended up being something slightly different. The person I'm working with in this video, MTA, was struggling to get her business off the ground. She kept putting off doing the marketing for it. During the video, we discovered what's really holding her back, and you'll see just how quickly change can happen.

What is important to you about um doing that marketing?

Uh what is important is is uh getting the word out.

Okay. And if you get the word out, what does that do for you?

Uh what what it does for me?

Yep.

Um it'll get clients in.

Okay. And if you have clients, what does that do for you?

It will make me financially viable.

Okay. And what's important to you about being financially viable?

I want to buy a house.

Okay. And what would buying a house do for you?

I feel like a part of me I'm originally from India and I've been here in the US for like now 50 years and I feel like all of me will be landing here.

Okay. And what's important about that to you?

I will be more integrated. I'm not talking about leaving any Indian part of me, but it's like all of all of that part will be here as well. I'll be more integrated.

Integrated into what?

Into myself.

Okay. And what would that do for you?

It would make me feel whole.

Make you feel whole. Okay. We didn't quite get a value out of all of that except for integrated. But

I would be in integrity with myself. I would be on purpose. I would be fulfilling. I'd feel like I'm fulfilling uh living a life of fulfillment of fulfilling my destiny kind of.

Okay. So, I think I already know what some of the problem is. you have a lot of words that kind of go around everything but your values. So we went from the very specific things marketing, getting the word out, getting clients, buying a home, these were all doings and then when I went further with that, instead of giving me a value, you jump to like integrated, whole, purpose, fulfilled, and these are all the things that you get once you fulfill your values. So there's this missing piece in the middle.

Yes.

Not sure if this is a parts integration, but what I can tell you is that one thing is not connecting to the other. So from the doings to the ultimate outcome, we need to know what comes in between. That's where your values are. The sort of intermediate values that are that you need to fulfill in order to get those fulfillment, wholeness, purpose, meaning, integration, or integrity. So, let's back up. You want to do marketing so that you get the word out, so that you get clients. And when you get clients, that gives you financial viability. So, you're making money. And then you get to buy a house. What does a buying a house do for you?

Uh, it gives me a home and allows me to leave a legacy for my kids.

Okay, you just did it again.

Yeah, I just did it again. You're asking me what does it do for me. Got it. I got it.

I got it. Um, it makes me feel successful.

Nice. Very nice. Okay, I just got to check. I want to see if what what else is there. What is important to you about being successful, feeling successful?

I feel I was uh persistent enough to reach my goal.

Okay. So, persistence is a value. We're kind of going sideways a little bit here. I want to check in one more time. So, what is important to you about being persistent to achieving a goal of

being 100% committed.

Okay, we'll say commitment. Okay, I think we have enough to work with here and if we don't we can come back to this.

Okay, so there's a part of you that resists doing the marketing, right?

Right.

So, let's talk to that part. Um, we want to assume positive intent. Um, also all parts of you are valid. So uh while this part might have been resisted cuz uh you like want to do the marketing um and you might have resisted this resistance which just creates more friction. We don't want to do that. We want to invite this resistance. We want to invite this part to the conversation. Like I said we assume positive intention and we also know that all parts of you are valid. So giving that part of you um that understanding ask it what is its positive intention by resisting doing this marketing?

Well the it's giving you the negative thing is I feel like I'm selling out.

Okay.

And the positive what is the positive intention about it?

What do you want bes instead of selling out?

Um to be in integrity. Hm. There's that word again. Huh? So, what's important to this part about being in integrity?

There's a feeling like it needs to be I need to be found rather than I need to go out with a megaphone.

Okay.

Does that make any sense?

I understand. So, what does it do for this part to be found?

Uh, my light is seen.

Okay. And what does that do for this part to for its light to be seen?

There's a conversation that can happen. There's a stability that happens with that.

And the success and the finance.

Okay.

It's all in it.

Okay. All right. So, we have a common value here, which often happens when we're doing this. Um, we also see that integrity is important to both of these parts, isn't it?

Yes.

And success is important to both of these parts.

Yes.

Yeah. So, does integrity and integrity and success and success work together?

Yes.

Yeah. So, these parts really want the same thing, right?

Yes. because I'm realizing that for me success uh I was partitioning it and and really uh success is success you know and it has integrity in it and integrity has success in it.

Yeah. And it also sounds like to me that both of these parts come at success from different angles.

Yes.

That both contribute to success. They're both valid.

Yes.

Does either part see any reason to not work together?

No. In fact, that's the only way they can work.

Yeah. I think you're you ensure your success by these parts working together toward success, don't they?

Yes.

Yes. I never saw that before.

Great. So, does either part object to working together on being successful?

No, I feel very excited.

Very cool. All right. So, with these two parts working together toward your success, how do you see this playing out now when it comes to marketing?

Um, I feel like I want to say let go. So, do you see yourself now marketing and and knowing that you're congruently working toward your success?

Yes.

Right. So, when do you start?

Uh, right after.

Okay. And when working together like this on success in your marketing so that you can be found, so you can get uh make the money that you want to make, buy the house, right? working together like this, what do you where do you think you're going to be in a month from now?

Um, I will have the clients I'm looking for. Um, I'll have very uh my business will be in a very viable space, not in a dream space.

Exactly. Yeah. Is there any part of you that objects to your business being in that viable space?

No. No, not at all. I I just feel so alive suddenly. I'm realizing until you did this that my low energy, my napping, all of this was how much it was in different parts. You know how it was switched down

and minute it integrated my energies just come up

that yes that happen because you feel more whole now, right? Because otherwise you have these two parts hitting like this and they're burning up a lot of energy.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Thank you. Thank you very much.

To say that you took like what 15 minutes and it's just given me such an important missing piece in my life you know and that's the importance of this book.

Yeah.

15 minutes.

A parts integration is really simple. It usually does not take long at all. That does not mean it's not profound. It can be extremely profound.

Very profound. Yes.

After this session, Ma reported she got two high ticket clients right away and took her business from just a dream to a viable business in a short time. Change doesn't need to be painful and doesn't have to take a long time. It can happen in just minutes. But don't take my word for it. Let's hear from MTA.

Very groundbreaking for me. And since that time I have been able to integrate uh since I had that session with Damon. I feel like um you know I'm on the other side. I still have some work to do but I'm on the other side of it. It's like there is a me and it's more cohesive. I am doing this or I am doing that or I'm doing that. whether it's self-care or business, you know, and that's a huge difference. I had never taken NLP before. I I thought it was a manipulative art on how to make people think like you or something like that.

And uh this was the first NLP I took cuz I heard Damon talking and I have loved it. I have actually loved it. It's not manipulative at all. It's something quite different and it's all about your own self-concept, you know, and I love that.

That's wonderful. Do you think that your new sense of time is helping you navigate that kind of balance?

Absolutely. If I didn't have that sense of time, which I got from working with Damon, by the way. So if I didn't have that sense of time, I would be uh in a funk, you know, I would be doing things cuz I got to do it, but then I also got to take care of my health. I'm not taking care of my health. And now slowly I'm doing all of it.

Something happened with clients like you. So, what do you

Yes, I I signed up two clients, you know, and uh the clients uh paid 5,000 each

and that was for 6 months.

So, I'm still working with that.

You mentioned um just so I understand you're me you mentioned something about Ulia with the parts work and then was there an action that you took after the parts work that led to the clients? like what what's the connection between your parts work and and

well it made me more focused.
