Today, we'll be talking about demonic attacks. The first section: seriousness of demonic attacks. Seriousness of demonic attacks. Now, how serious are demonic attacks? Demonic attacks are very serious, but we don't see it serious enough. And that's why I'm going to cover this section and show you and try to open your eyes, make you see that this is serious business. That every second you live, you don't realize you are fighting. You are fighting every second. So you shouldn't let down your guard.

Good. Ephesians chapter 6, verse 12. You were going there. Ephesians 6:12. You know, whenever you are pulling through a struggle or a hardship, are you going through one? Whenever you are resisting temptation, are you going through one? Whenever you face some kind of opposition, are you going through one? When you're street preaching, when you're going out witnessing, how the news media treat you, how your family members treat you, or when you work tirelessly, when you read your Bible, when you pray, come to church. Every moment that you do that, you don't realize that whenever you are pulling through a struggle, resisting temptation, facing opposition, working tirelessly, right now, you are doing a spiritual warfare, spiritual fight. Notice right here, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood." You understand? But against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Yes, we may fight our flesh, we may fight the world, but our actual fight is a spiritual fight. It's all a spiritual fight. It's not a physical warfare. It's not guns, it's not swords. It's a spiritual warfare, and that's a more dangerous, more hard warfare, a spiritual warfare. It's very serious. Whenever you come to church, whenever you fight a temptation, it's all a spiritual battle. Christians, come on. Go to First Peter 5:8-9. 1 Peter 5:8-9. This is how serious demonic attacks are. It's so serious. Demonic attacks, demonic attacks. No, no problems. If you have a question, just let me know real quick. First Peter chapter 5:8-9. 1 Peter 5:8-9. The Bible says right here, "Be sober, be vigilant because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same affliction are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world." The Bible says Satan is a lion, and a lion can strike you at any moment. Lions, you'd be very surprised. You'd be very surprised when you're so far away from a lion, how close and how quick the lion can pounce on its prey. One thing that you learn is that, one thing you'd be surprised about lions is, you'd be very surprised on how far they can jump, how far they can jump at you. When you think that there's no way that the lion's going to jump and reach you so fast, they'll jump you so many yards and then pounce you. So you'd be surprised. In fact, one of the missionaries, David Livingstone, did not expect how far the lion would jump, and he damaged his shoulder permanently because of that. So that's what the devil is like, a lion. He can strike you any moment. So there must be two things you got to do. Now, this is what Christians fail to do. I bet you. Notice right here, two things: be sober. Sober means being seriously minded on God, on God. Now, sometimes after church is over, you know, we may joke around and say, "Okay, we're going to sin again, you know, after this." But you know, okay, jokes is fine. One thing, but you know, we fail to be seriously minded. You know, we fail to be seriously minded. We shouldn't think that, "Okay, you know, this is a sermon." We should take it lightly. After church is over, you got to be seriously minded, on guard about it. It's no wonder you fail your Christian life again and again and again after every preaching. Seriously, on guard, on guard. The devil can hit you at midnight when you're sleeping, or when you come to church, or even right now, someone could just walk over the door and interrupt the service right now, right? You don't realize it. Another thing is, be vigilant. Notice right here, be vigilant. Vigilant means to be awake, watchful. Awake, watchful. You know, there's not a moment's rest in your Christian life. You know that there could be an attack while you're sleeping, there could be an attack while you're fellowshipping, while you're having a good time, every night, every time, the devil can attack you. That's why you got to be awake, watchful. Ephesians 4:27. Ephesians chapter 4:27. You know, Ephesians 4:27. You know, I know we know this kind of stuff, maybe some of us already know this kind of stuff, but you know, we fail to take it seriously. I think that's our main problem. Problem. That's the reason why I covered this first section as seriousness of demonic attacks. We don't know how serious, how dangerous it is. Ephesians 4:27: "Neither give place to the devil." This is how serious demonic attacks are. It's so serious that the devil can reside, he can enter inside your body any time. He may never possess your spiritual nature, he can never do that, but he can reside and possess your body. Why? That's why you must be careful. He can reside in your place any time. Good. Why else would the Bible say to Christians, "Save Christians, not to lost people"? Save Christians. "Neither give place to the devil." Every time you look up the word "place" in the Bible, it means to reside inside, to reside inside.

Next section. This will be the most important: list of demonic attacks. List of demonic attacks. List of demonic attacks. So, what kind of demonic attacks would happen to Christians? Now, when I give you each and every one of these demonic attacks, I want you to look at your life and at this church and see what kind of demonic attacks have been brought upon your life or on this church. I'm sure you'd be surprised. A lot of them have happened to you or in this church. First one is error. Error. Error. E-R-R-O-R. Error. So the devil or demons, they can throw error at you, wrong doctrine at you, rather than correct doctrine. 1 John 4, 1 John 4, verse 1, verse 3, verse 6. 1 John 4, verse 1, verse 3, verse 6. "There are spirits of error." And the Bible says to Christians, "You must test out the spirits. Test out the spirits. See which spirit is of God, which spirit is is of error." Good teaching. Notice right here, "Beloved, believe not every spirit, see that, but try the spirits whether they are of God." Now look at verse three, "And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God." And this is that spirit of antichrist. See, there's a wrong, evil spirit. And notice that this evil spirit is connected with error. Look at verse six, "We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error." That's right. That's why we left our previous church. Spirit of error. We cannot allow wrong doctrines in the church, otherwise you open up to demonic attacks. The devil attacked that previous church, and that's why the devil ruined that church, and that church is not going to be used by God. Say, good teaching. This is of the devil. It's not of man. It's not man's mistake. This is devilish attack. The devil attacks Christians. That's why pastors and churches who God was going to use, who have a lot of prospect, and who thought you could trust the devil, ruined them. Right? The devil ruined them. The devil attacked them, ruined them. See, and it could happen to this church. God forbid. By the grace of God only, by the grace of God, I will not teach you wrong doctrine. By the grace of God, no. By the grace of God, if it was in my way, then we would be in a mess. By the grace of God, we know that.

Second one: fear. Fear. Not only are there spirits of error, but there are also spirits of fear as well. Two verses: Romans 8:15. Romans 8, verse 1, 15. The second one, 2 Timothy 1:7. 2 Timothy 1, verse 7. Timothy. Romans 8:15. Second Timothy 1:7. Now, there are spirits of fear as well. Now, Satan, he can make you a nervous wreck. And when he makes you a nervous wreck, he'll make you worried about your finances, he'll make you worried about your family, he'll make you worried about this church, he'll make you worried about your future. And you know what? That's an attack from demons, from evil spirits. Notice right here, "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear." You see that? There is a spirit of fear, a spirit that binds you to fear. Look at 2 Timothy 1:7. 2 Timothy 1:7. The Bible says, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear." So notice right here that there is a spirit of fear that we should watch out for. So remember when those spirits of fear, when those demons of fear come at you, that's an attack from the devil. And don't get give inch to it. Don't give an inch to it. Inch.

Next one: Slumber. Slumber. Number three. Slumber. Yes, sir. Number three. Slumber. There is a Spirit of Slumber. Romans 11:8. Romans 11:8. There is a Spirit of Slumber. Slumber means sleepy, lazy, sluggish. Uh-huh. That's what slumber means. Sleepy, lazy, sluggish. Romans 11. Romans 11:8. Romans 11:8. "There is a Spirit of Slumber." And the devil, he can make you tired, slow, and heavy. You ever wonder why you're always slow and tired when you come to church on Sunday? Now, ask yourself these questions: Have I had sufficient sleep? Is the weather hotter? Is my diet sufficient? Am I busier than I should be? Now, look, if it's not, if it's not those, if it's not those, then the answer is the devil. Then, if you're tired and sleepy, and if it's not because of the weather, if it's not because of your diet, it's not because of that you had enough sleep, then it's of the devil. What else could it be? See, if it's not natural causes, then the only cause is of the devil. So remember that. So remember, remember, if you feel sleepy, cast out the devil out of your life. Look at Romans 11:8, "According as it is written, God hath given them the Spirit of Slumber." So notice right here that there's also a Spirit of Slumber. There are many different spirits, and not all of them are right spirits. That's why the Bible says, "Test out, try out the spirits."

Number four: Thoughts. Thoughts. Number four. Thoughts. One of the most popular demonic attacks is the thoughts. The thoughts ruin many Christians and many Christian lives. Ephesians 6:12. Ephesians 6, verse 2. Chapter 6, verse 2. Next one, compare that with 2 Corinthians 10:5. 2 Corinthians 10, verse 5. 2 Corinthians chapter 10, verse 5. All right, so I want your hand to go to two places, and they will be on Second Corinthians and Ephesians. First one, let's look at Ephesians. Now, here's the thing: Satan, he will attack Christians with imaginations, how you daydream, how you think, all right? And he can attack you with the wrong thoughts. You can misunderstand a person, but why do he say that? Why do he think that way? Why do he act that way? Or perversions, you know, the wrong kind of images in your mind, or worries, you know, "What's going to happen to me after this?" You know, yeah, those are attacks from demons. All right. Ephesians 6:12: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world." So these are all demons. Notice right here, and notice what demons are called, "against spiritual wickedness in high places." Demons are also called high places and high things. Now compare that with 2 Corinthians 10:5. 2 Corinthians 10:5: "Casting down imaginations." Now notice right here, "and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God." What is that high thing? Those have to do with demons. Those have to do with demons. "Bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." So notice right here that high things or high places, which are demons, evil spirits, they can have something to do with your mind, imaginations. Those are attacks from demons.

Another one is death. Number five. Death. Satan can attack you with death. The verses are Job 1:9-12. Job 1:9-2. Job 1:9-12, and 18-19. Again, Job 1:9-12, verses 18-9. Satan, he can attack you by just killing you. He can attack you by killing this pastor and just ruin the church, you know that? He can attack you by killing anyone in this church to accomplish his goals. Sure can. He can do that. You don't think that he can? Oh, yes, he can. Look at Job 1:9-12, verses 18-19: "Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for naught? Hast not thou made an hedge about about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face." And the Lord said unto Satan, "Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand." So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord. God gave Satan permission to do whatever he wanted to Job, except killing him. Now look at verse 18-19: "Now when he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house; and, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee." Satan, he killed Job's children. See, Satan, he will try to discourage a Christian, ruin a Christian, attack this church by killing someone in this church, or even killing your own children, or even killing the leader of the church. He can do that. The truth. He will kill someone just to ruin this church. Yeah, that's an attack from Satan.

Number six: Suicide. Number six. Suicide. You know, the previous church I was pastoring in Palm Springs, the devil attacked that church by killing their pastor, by killing their pastor. That's what the devil did. But the church overcame that attack. They won victory over that attack because the Lord had sent someone else to pastor that church, and thank God, he used me. All I can say is, praise the Lord for that. Father, thank you. And because of that, that's why I'm able to become your pastor today. Thank God. I never became a pastor until that incident happened. Actually.

Number six: Suicide. Number six. Suicide. So Satan, he can attack you with suicide. And trust me, he will put all kinds of things into your heads, tempt you so hard, and give you a good reason to commit suicide. Luke 4:9-13. Luke 4:9 through 13. 4. Luke 4:9-13. You know, Dr. Peter Ruckman, he wouldn't have been a blessing to us if Satan succeeded, you know what I mean? Satan, if you read his life story, Ruckman's life story, Satan, he tempted Dr. Ruckman to commit suicide. He actually did. Did. Mhm. In fact, one time Dr. Ruckman was about to hang himself, he put the rope around his neck until someone knocked on the door, and then he answered the door, and it was a person doing visitation work, surprisingly giving out tracts. God is good. So see, the thing is this, that Satan, he can attack you with suicide. Luke 4:9-13: "And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone." And Jesus answering said unto him, "It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." And when Satan had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. Hey, he even tempted Jesus to commit suicide, even Jesus. So he can surely tempt you to commit suicide. Luke chap.

Now look at the same passage, Luke 4:9-13. And number seven: Scripture. Number seven. Scripture. Satan can attack you with the Bible. Look at the same passage, Luke 4:9-13. Notice right here that Satan quoted scripture. "And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone." Yes, yes, yes. He can attack you with the scriptures. And you know what? He attacks the church so much with scripture. That's why Jehovah's Witnesses, as scripture, as an attack from Satan. That's why there's so much wrong doctrine because of wrong application of scriptures. That's why there are many wrong understandings of the Bible. That's why there are new Bibles coming out. That's why there's all this confusion going around with modern versions. Satan attacks you with scripture.

Number eight: Tongues. Number eight. Tongues. That is an attack from Satan, not a work of the Holy Ghost. Speaking blabbermouth tongues is an attack from Satan, not a work of the Holy Ghost. Come on. Look at Matthew 12:43-45. Matthew 12:43 through 45. Now compare that with 1 Corinthians 14. 1 Corinthians chapter 14, verse 23, verse 33. 1 Corinthians 14, verse 23, verse 33. All right, so I want your hand to go to two places: Matthew 12:43-45, 1 Corinthians 14:23, 33. Me. Now, here's the thing: Charismatics, they emphasize this, "You must empty yourself, empty yourself, empty yourself inwardly, and then when you empty yourself of everything and just let the Holy Spirit go in you, and then all of a sudden, you'll just speak in tongues. It'll just come out of you." Now, that is actually not emptying themselves for the Holy Spirit. When you empty yourself inwardly, you're not letting the Holy Spirit in you, you're letting demons enter in. That's right. Look at Matthew 12:43 through 45: "When the unclean spirit is gone out of the man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he said, Notice right here, I will return into my house from whence I came out. And when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept and garnished." So notice right here in verse 43, the unclean spirit leaves the body of a man. But in verse 44, the unclean spirit, he wants to go back to his own house, that body of a man. Now look at verse 45. Oh, in verse 44, notice that when he goes back inside the body of the man, notice he findeth it empty, swept, garnished. You see, emptied his body. Now look at verse 45: "Then goeth he and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first." When you empty yourself, you're in worse shape. You're in worse shape. When you empty inwardly in your body and you take in more evil spirits, see that's more of a danger, that's demon possession, that's not Holy Spirit. Yeah. Now look at 1 Corinthians 14:23-33: "Tongues like that, that's of the devil. Okay? That is not of the Holy Ghost." Notice right here, "If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?" Notice right here, one of the rules for speaking in tongues, and again, as I have taught you, tongues is speaking foreign languages. But Charismatics say, "It's blabber mouthing." Now, you tell the Charismatics this: In verse 23, one of the rules for speaking in tongues is that all the people in the church should not speak in tongues. All the people in the church should not speak in tongues together, because are will they not say, "Are ye mad?" That's one of the rules. It should be in order, decent order. It should not be chaotic. That's why. Now look at verse 33. Verse 33: "Paul says, For God is not the author of confusion." Because there was so much of that confusion of tongues in the church, that madness going on with everyone speaking tongues in the church, it was all confusion. And Paul told them, "God is not the author of that confusion." Now let me ask you this: If God is not the author of confusion, who? Who is the author of confusion? Who is the author of confusion? Satan. Satan. Satan is the author of confusion, not God. If it's not of God, then that's of Satan. So guess what? I'm not lying to you. Speaking in blabbermouth tongues all chaotically is of Satan. It's of Satan. It's an attack from Satan.

Number nine: Confusion. Number nine. Confusion. Same verse, 1 Corinthians 14:33. Same verse, 1 Corinthians 14:33. Notice that Satan is the author of confusion. "For God is not the author of confusion." Again, if God is not the author of confusion, then Satan is. That's why there are confusion of Bibles, confusion of doctrines, come on, confusion about what the real will of God is on your life. Come on. There are missionaries who are confused and down trodden. "Is this really the will of God?" There are Christians who are so broken down in life, and this has happened to you, I'm sure. You become so broken down in life that you become so confused on what to do. That is an attack from Satan. Remember that. Satan is attacking you, trying to ruin your life. Remember that. When there comes a time in your life when you're so broken down, you're confused, and you don't know what to do, and you, then that's an attack from Satan. Remember that, because God is not the author of confusion. God is not the author of confusion.

Number 10: Wrong will. Number 10. Wrong will. Now, this is very sad. I've seen many, well, not many, but I've seen one person. I will not name the person, but that person has been a hero in my life, actually. That person changed my life. I would not be the person that I am today had it not been for that person. But then that person, he thought it was the will of God for him to do this. So he jumped ahead and did all kinds of work, did furlough, all kinds of things to be a missionary, and then the doors were closed, and then he didn't become a missionary after that. Feel sad. Sad man. God messed up the life when that person has been a great role model for me in my life. 2 Timothy 2:26. Yes, sir. 2 Timothy 2:26. Wrong will. That's why be careful when you're going for the will of God. You got to be careful. Don't rush things. Make sure that it's of the will of God, because you can permanently, permanently damage your life forever. Great teaching. Just like that person who has been a great help to me in my life. 2 Timothy 2:26: "And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, s-" Satan attacks you, "who are taken captive by him at his will." Satan, he can make you follow the wrong will, and that will will be his own will rather than God's. So, so when you try to find the will of God, but you could follow the wrong one, and that wrong one is actually the will of Satan, not the will of God, and then you become ruined by him. Permanent. Yep.

All right. Number 11: Feelings. Number 11. Feelings. Another attack from Satan is feelings. John 13:2. John 13:2. Cross-reference that with James 3:14-15. James 3:14-15. Again, verses are John 13:2, and then cross-reference that with James 3, verse 14-15. And which was this one? Not the will, but the the feelings. This is on feelings. Number 11. Feelings. So I want your hand to go to two places. Excuse me. James 3:14-15. John 13:2. Now, here's something: Satan, he can attack you on how you feel in your heart. Satan, he can attack you on how you feel in your heart. That's a fact. That's why it's very, you got to be very careful on not being touchy. You know what happens? This is what happens with a lot of us. Sometimes we think, "I wonder if that person in the church meant to insult me, or why did the person in that church say it that way?" Mhm. You see, when we start thinking that way, then what happens? We become touchy. And the feelings, remember this, Satan will use that to attack you, to ruin you, and to ruin the church. That's why you must be very, be careful about that. Remember this, this will help you a lot. Your Christian life is supposed to be a life of faith, yes, not feelings. Your Christian life is supposed to be a life of faith, not feelings. Now let's look at John 13:2. Notice right here, Satan, he'll attack. Here's something you got to realize. Satan will attack you with anything. He'll attack you with anything. Uh, notice right here, "And supper being ended, the devil." Now notice right this, "the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot." You see, Satan, he can attack with how you feel in your heart. James 3:14-15: "But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts." So notice that these hearts, they feel bitterness, and they feel strife. "Glory not, and lie not against the truth." Now notice what God calls that in verse 15: "This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish." You see that? So it's an attack from Satan. It's an attack from Satan.

Number 12: Criticism. Number 12. Criticism. Satan, he'll also attack you with criticism. Strife is of the devil. Remember that. Strife is of the devil. Same passage, James 3, but the verses will be verse 15-16. Verses 15-16. Read James 3:15-16: "Strife is of the devil." And he will attack you with strife from the world. The world can pick a fight with you. And there are Christians who just pick a fight with the world so stupidly on street preaching, and they just end up in jail. There are Christians who can be involved, can be attacked from Satan with strife from the church. Oh, yeah. I've seen that too much. And that, oh, it's so sad. Satan attacked. I've seen churches split, I've seen churches close, I've seen churches getting smaller because someone picking a stupid nonsense fight, and then the pastor picks a stupid nonsense fight, the member picks a stupid nonsense fight, and then, you know what? It just ruins the church. Satan, that's an attack from Satan. Remember that. That's an attack from Satan. Not only that, but within yourself, within yourself, you could pick a fight with someone in the church, and the devil could use you as an attack. That's why you must be careful. Strife is of the devil. Be prepared. This is good advice. Be prepared to receive it anytime. Yeah. Good advice. Be prepared to receive it anytime. Be prepared to be criticized by good, godly, dedicated, believing role models that you thought you could trust, that you thought you could put your faith, the ones that you really love, and they just turn their back on you. Be prepared. Be prepared to receive it anytime. That is very good advice because one thing I learned after being going through several churches, that happened, you know, a sad story again, I won't mention the person's name, but this pastor's family is actually the pastor's family that started out my Christian walk, my Christian life with God. But then they were attacked by Satan because of strife within the church. Some close members they thought they could trust, turned their backs on them, attacked their own pastor, and church closed. Never became a pastor again. And you know, Satan attacked him, ruined his life.

Number 13: Suffering. Number 13. Suffering. Do you see how serious this is? Yes. How serious demonic attacks are. This is a very serious subject because notice how many people's lives, great role models, Satan has ruined. If Satan can ruin great men of God, what makes you think Satan can't ruin you? Come on. Number 13. Suffering. 2 Corinthians 12:7. 2 Corinthians 12:7. The most hurtful attack from Satan that everyone has been through, the most popular one is suffering. No one likes to suffer. That is an attack from Satan. Satan, he can buffet you. Now, God could use Satan to attack you, to make you suffer, and to buffet you. He allows his suffering to happen, but the actual suffering can come from Satan himself. Notice right here, 2 Corinthians 12:7: "Unless I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me." Now notice right here, "a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me." So notice right here that one of Satan's men can buffet you, can make you suffer. Can remember this, you're suffering right now, right? You're suffering, family problem, financial problem, and I know your life is full of problems. Your church going through a problem. Remember this, that's an attack from Satan. That's an attack from Satan.

Number 14: Discouragement. Discouragement. Number 14. Discouragement. This is the most popular attack from Satan to ministry leaders, to missionaries. Discouragement. Luke chapter 22:31. Luke chapter 22:31. The sad thing, but what missionaries and preachers ought to realize, and this is my problem too, I'm still working on it. All right. Yeah. Your pastor is human, okay? I'm sorry. I wish I was Jesus Christ, but I'm not. I'm human, okay? Like you. I admit that, okay? But one of our problems, one of my problems is that, you know, we just look too much at results. We look at who's coming to church, who's coming out to witnessing, and who's uh, serving God and spiritually growing, you know? And we look at that too much, and then we get discouraged, and then we think, you know, that our, that, you know, our job is not worth it, you know, we're not getting the work done. So we might as well go to a different place. Lord, why don't we go to a different place? And that's why I see missionaries jump from place to place to place to place, pastors jumping from church to church to church to church. Now, don't get me wrong, okay? I jump from church to church, okay? Because I jump from Palm Springs to here. All right? So don't get me wrong. Sometimes God closes the door and opens the other. I understand that, all right? But you got to realize this one thing I've learned is this: It ain't over until God says it's over, right? That's one thing I learned. It's not over until God says it's over. So even, and I mean it, Christians, only by the grace of God, okay? I'm not all that. I'm weak, okay? So that's why I'm saying, by the grace of God, by the grace of God, if it's just one person here, I will open the church and keep preaching and teaching. I don't care. I don't, I don't care. All right? By the grace of God, believe. But you know, Satan always puts that discouragement in me and in missionaries. Luke 22:31: "And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you." So notice that Satan attacks you, and he may "sift you as wheat." You know what sifting wheat is? It's violently, it's when you violently beat or separate the grain from the stalk. It's a big, violent process. So Satan, he wants to tear you apart violently, separate you, tear you apart to the point of utter discouragement. He will make it until there's nothing left. Don't underestimate the devil. He will do it until there's nothing left, and you feel like there's nothing left to live for. That's why you're discouraged. That's what he'll do to you.

Number 15: Health problems. Number 15. Health problems. You know, there are missionaries who haven't led a soul to Christ. Okay. I remember one missionary. I, I remember one missionary, okay? They haven't led souls to Christ for many years in their lifetime. In one missionary's lifetime, when he died in China, he only led 10, approximately 10 to 20 souls to salvation in his lifetime. That's how hard, that's how hard the mission field was. That's how stubborn and cold the people were to the gospel. That can happen. That can happen. Satan, he's not kidding. He will desecrate you to the point of utter discouragement. You won't lead a soul for years. William Carey, Adoniram Judson, they haven't led one soul to salvation for seven years. Yep. Health problems. Luke 13:16. Luke 13:16. And the other one is Job 2:7. Job 2:7. Again, the passages are Luke 13:16, Job 2:7. Now, problem. Health problems can come from natural causes, okay? It could be your own fault, okay? You should have worn a heavy jacket during winter, so it's your fault you got on the cold. Okay? Now, here's the thing. Even though health problems could come from natural causes, ask yourself, "Did I take care of my body? Did I take my medication?" If it's not natural causes, then who? Why am I sick? It's an attack from Satan. Remember that. It's an attack from Satan. So when you hear pastors or when you hear church members saying, "Oh man, I have a cough," or, "You know, I have a health problem," and that's an attack from Satan, they're not just saying it, okay? Because they want to put the blame on Satan, okay? It can come from Satan if it's not natural causes, okay? If it's not your fault, then who else? Why else are you sick? That's an attack from Satan. Oh, it can't happen, Pastor. You want to bet? Look at Luke 13:16: "And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years." See that? Satan gave a disease on a woman. Satan himself gave that disease. Look at Job 2:7: "Job 2:7. So went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown." Oh, Job didn't take good care of his body, huh? Oh, Job, he didn't eat right, huh? No, Satan just suddenly gave it to him. Sure did. Oh, it can happen, Christians. He can give you that sudden disease, that sudden affliction.

Number 16: Preacher problems. Oh, number 16. Preacher problems. 1 Timothy chapter 3, verse 1, verse 6, verse 7. 1 Timothy 3, verse 1, verse 6, verse 7. Now, here's the thing: Preachers are heavily attacked by the devil. They are heavily attacked by the devil. 1 Timothy 3. 1 Timothy 3:1, verse 6, verse 7. You know why Satan attacks them? Because, you know this, if, let's say, Satan attacked me and ruined me, where would you be then? Where would this church be? That's the reason why Satan attacks preachers. Let's say my dad didn't start the church, where would you be? Where would this church be? Let's say Dr. Peter Ruckman didn't start his ministry, where would thousands of people be? Where would their churches be? Let's say Dr. S. Lee didn't start his church ministry and translate the King James Bible, a lot of us would be godless. You see, who do you think is the number one target from Satan? No, not you. It's preachers because he wants, he knows that those are the people that can hold your life together. Thank God for preachers in my life, otherwise I would not even be here. Come on, preacher. First Timothy 3:1, 6-7: "This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop," that's a pastor, "he desireth the good work." Notice what Satan can do to them. Verse 6: "Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil." In the previous church, you know who Satan attacked? Not the member, the pastor. Mhm. You know why? He knows that person is the one that holds it together. And once he topples him, all the people fall into place because that person was a novice and filled up with pride, he fell into the condemnation of the devil and started teaching wrong doctrine and all kinds of stuff. Now look at verse. Now look at the next verse, verse 7: "Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil." Satan attacks the preachers how? Because members in the church or people can give a bad report about the pastor. I hear that a lot. And if, okay, here's the thing, if a pastor has a lot of bad report, okay, and obviously he doesn't have a good testimony, and if a pastor has a lot of pride, then in 1 Timothy 3:16 and 7, he is not qualified to be a pastor. He has not qualified to be a pastor. That reason is enough alone for him not to be qualified. All right.

Number 17: Lack of forgiveness. Lack of forgiveness. Oh, here we go. 2 Corinthians 2:10-11. 2 Corinthians 2:10-11. 2 Corinthians 2:10-11. Now, Satan, he can attack the Christian church with lack of forgiveness. That's why the church can be ruined when there are people holding grudges. And there are churches that can be ruined when there are people feeling hurt. One thing I've learned is this, okay? One thing I've learned is to forgive and forget. That's one thing I learned. If I don't do that, you know what's going to happen? There's going to be grudges in the church, and you feel that tension, and you can, and we can all smile and act like a bunch of hypocrites, you know? But there's that tension. That's why one thing I learned is to forgive and forget. Let it covered with the blood of the Lamb and just forget it. Another thing is, people can feel hurt. People can feel so guilty, so hurt, and then, you know what? You've hurt that person because you never forgiven that person. That's one thing I learned is to forgive and forget. Notice right here, "To whom ye forgive anything, I forgive also: for if any thing be forgiven, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ: Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices."

Number 18: Lack of pleasure. Number 18. Lack of pleasure. Number 18. Lack of pleasure. Now, this might sound a little confusing, but Satan, he can attack you with lack of pleasure. Now, here's something important. All right, for time's sake, I'm just going to give you the verses. All right. There is nothing wrong with pleasure. Write down Psalms 16:1. Psalms 16:11. In that verse, there is nothing wrong with pleasure, because in God's right hand, the Bible says, "He gives pleasure forever." Cross-reference that. Write down 2 Timothy 3:4. Write down 2 Timothy 3:4. For time's sake, I won't turn to the verses. Write down 2 Timothy 3:4. That verse shows pleasure is wrong if you love pleasure more than God. See? So pleasure is not wrong unless it exceeds. That's it, right? Good teaching. Now, write down 1 Corinthians 7:5. 1 Corinthians 7, verse 5. I think you should turn over there because I think it'll be important for you to see that. 1 Corinthians 7:5. Now, in this passage, what you're going to find out is that Satan, all right, Satan, he can attack you to do sinful pleasures, even sexual ones, when you feel so deprived of pleasure. In this verse, Paul says that a husband and wife should be very intimate, should keep their physical relationship as much as possible, because if not, then they're going to feel so sexually frustrated, and guess what? You can open up to adultery, fornication. Look at this verse if you don't believe me. There it is. Verse 5: "Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again." So Paul's saying, "Don't be physically so apart from one another because notice right here that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency." Oh, you see that? That Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. When you keep having that lack of pleasure, all right, notice that Satan can take an advantage of you, and you can do all kinds of simple things. You want a p. Look at all these priests molesting children. Look at all these priests molesting children. So sexually frustrated that they have to just do something so perverted and wrong like that. Look at all these Christians who just quit church and go after the world. You know why? Because they just keep themselves so uptight. They think that church is boring, church has no fun, you know? And oh yeah, I got to go out so I can't laugh, I can't fellowship. And no wonder members would just get so bored down in church, and they'll just open up to themselves to all kinds of sinful things. You should fellowship, you should laugh. Pastors and churches who teach you shouldn't do that, they're just opening up to a satanic attack. That's right. Come on. Come on.

All right. Number 19: Interferences. Number 19. Interferences. So, good advice: do something pleasurable before you stress out and do something sinfully pleasurable. All right? So do something pleasurable, or else you'll do something that's sinfully pleasurable. That's good advice for you all. All right? God has given you the whole world to enjoy. All right? There's a lot of things you can do in life. All right. All right. Number 19: Interferences. Write down 1 Thessalonians 2:18. 1 Thessalonians 2:18. In that verse, Paul says, "I wish I can go meet you, but Satan hindered us." So here's the thing: Whenever you do something spiritual, Satan can attack you. Satan can attack you. You ever been soul winning, but then there's a phone call that ruins it, and then you can't win that soul to salvation? Yeah. Traffic jam, you miss a revival service, a car wreck, all of a or an accident in the house, so you miss a church service. Noise, crying babies in the middle of preaching during altar call. Interferences. That's an attack from Satan. Remember that. Satan can attack you with interferences.

Number 20: Idleness and big mouth. Number 20. Idleness and big mouth. Oooh. Right. Right down. Right down. First Timothy 5:13-15. Amen, brother. First Timothy. 1 Timothy 5, verse 13-15. 1 Timothy 1 Timothy 5:13-15. Now, this passage is the best. Is actually for you ladies too, actually. This passage is actually the best for you ladies because God is actually talking to you, okay? Don't blame me, okay? I know you're going to get mad at me, okay? But don't blame me. This is what God said in his book. In that verse, you're going to find out that God is talking to women, and he, he doesn't want women to be idle in the house, because when you are idle in the house, you know what that opens up to? Idleness can make you have a big mouth. And when you have a big mouth, you can see a lot of bad things about people in the church, about the pastor, about even your own family, about all the people that you even love. You can even hurt your close friend with your big mouth. This is a good one. And then guess what? A little leaven leavens the whole lump. And that's why idleness and big mouth is an attack from Satan. In that verse, you're going to find out that Satan uses that. It says it's of Satan. It's of the devil.

Number 21: Saints. Number 21. Saints. S-A-I-N-T-S. Or you could say Christians. Saints. Write down 1 Chronicles 1st Chronicles 21, verse 1, verse 4. 1 Chronicles 21, verse 1, verse 4. You know what that verse says? "Satan went against Israel through David." That's what that verse says. Satan can attack you through another saint, you know that? Mhm. Even if it's someone you highly regard, Satan can attack you through that person. You know, I've seen so many churches hurt, ruined by Satan because Satan used a saint to hurt the church through a member's fault, through a member's sin, or through a treasurer's embezzlement, or through a friend's betrayal, or a pastor's sin. I have seen so many churches hurt, ruined. And because 1 Chronicles 21, verse 1, verse 14.

Number 22: Temptations. Number 22. Temptations. This is the most common, the basic of all basic attacks, and the most successful attack from Satan is temptations. Genesis 3:4-6. Genesis 3:4-6. 3:4-6. It's the first attack Satan ever did in the book that's mentioned in the book. The first attack: temptations. In those temptations, you're going to find out that he did the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, right? The three most common basic attacks from Satan's temptations: lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, the pride of life.

Last section. Last section: Preparation for demonic attacks. Preparation for demonic attacks. Write down Ephesians 6:4 through 18. Ephesians chapter 4, I mean chapter 6, verse 14 through 18. Chapter 6:14-18. That verse is the best verse to show you how to prepare for a demonic attack. Pastor, I want to be prepared for a demonic attack. That verse gives you what to do. And that verse, those verses give you an armory, an armory of what to wear. If you look at that verse, it gives you a list of armors on what to wear so you can be prepared for a demonic attack. Notice the first one is in verse 14: "belt of truth." Belt of truth. The strength of a man is in his loins. Greater strength lies on a frank, honest man who is filled with dependability. Look at another one right here: "breastplate of righteousness." Breastplate of righteousness. Now, a Christian already has God's righteousness. He has it, but he's supposed to wear it in battle. That's right. Any sin can enter into your open heart. That's why arm yourself with the breastplate of righteousness. Notice in verse 15: "gospel shoes." Gospel shoes on your feet. So wherever your feet go, you must be ready to give the gospel immediately, give the tract out immediately, witness to that soul immediately. Notice in verse 16: "Shield of Faith." Shield of Faith. You know why? Because if you don't have strong faith, Christians, any attack that the devil throws at you, you will be ruined, right? So you must have the such a strong faith that'll be like a shield to you, so no matter what attack the devil throws at you, out. Good. Notice, look at verse 17: "Helmet of salvation." Helmet of salvation. If you lose your leg or arm in battle, you can survive. You're not your head. That's why you must have the helmet. Look at the other one: "sword of the spirit." You see that in verse 17? Sword of the spirit. This is the only offense weapon you got. The only offense weapon you got is the Bible, the sword of the spirit. If you don't, that's why if you don't even read your Bible or faithfully abide by it, you're done. You're ruined. You can't go up against the devil like this. No way. You've got to do, you got to attack. You got to attack. That's why you must have the Bible. That's the reason why this whole world is going to hell. You know why? They lost their offensive weapon. Churches lost their offensive weapon. They correct, they correct the Bible, they teach wrong doctrine, they neglect Bible reading, and they fail to study the scriptures. It's no wonder. Now notice in verse 18, it mentions prayer, but there's no armor mentioned in prayer. You know what's interesting about this verse? There's no armor mentioned in prayer. So there's no armor on the knees, you know why? Because of prayer. So you can bow on the knees. That's the reason why. Another interesting thing is that if you look at verse 14 again, notice this, "breastplate of righteousness." So you're armed front, in the front of you, but not your behind, right? Why is that? So you don't turn your back against the enemy and run away. Come on. That's the reason why. Turn your back. So if you want to be prepared for any demonic attack, you must have these elements: the breastplate of righteousness, shield of faith, gospel shoes, all of this. If you lack in one of these armors, you are not fully prepared for a demonic attack. Let me close by saying this. You know why it's important to have each and every one of these armors? Because let me tell you this, if you, you know who are the people that the devil has the hardest time to attack? You know who are the people that the devil has the hardest time to attack? The people who are saved, sincere, soul-winning, sanctified, Bible believers who are strong in the faith and pray on their knees. That's a fact. That's those are the people that the devil has a hard time to attack. You notice that when you're saved, you have the helmet of salvation. When you're sincere, you have the truth. When you're soul-winning, you have the gospel. Sanctified, you have the breastplate of righteousness. You're a believer, you have the sword of the spirit. You're strong in the faith, you have the shield of faith. When you pray on your knees, you are fully. Let's all close in the word of prayer. Heavenly Father, I pray that whatever attack that the devil may throw upon us, we will always be fully armed and prepared. There are too many devilish attacks, and help us take this warfare seriously. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
