Your side to say that I'm hoping I am not too late. I'll show you that some people change. I'm giving up a winless fight. I just wanted you to shine so bright. But we are made a light and darkness too, and I love every part of you. And I love every part of you.
Where was I when you said you were drowning in the ocean I had thrown you in? How was I so certain of my pity to be blind to how you begged for it to end? I should have given you a hand in the fiercest winter time when your heart would splinter. Space to find a place for you to grow, and now I know.
When I'm throwing out my empty way, and I'm running to your side to say that I'm hoping I am not too late. I'll show you that some people change. I'm giving up a winless fight. I just wanted you to shine so bright. But we are made of light and darkness too, and I love every part of you. And I love every part of you.
So if you feel broke down and all pushed around, you know you can call me. And when you feel held wild and alive, I'll be standing proudly one step back just so you know that you can stand all on your own. Oh, we are made of light and darkness too, and I love every part of you. Yeah, I love every part of you.

With a blind leap, mad dashing through the streets, escaping off to the skies. It ended with a dick deep dead last chance, believing racing into the night. It's been a long time since the last time that I let you know where I've been. Like you've ever seen at home. It's a long, long story full of curses and glory. I'm going to share it right. Been a long, long journey, but I'm not in a hurry. 'Cause I never want to say goodbye.
It started with a BL Le man dashing through the streets, escaping off to the skies. It ended with a de deep dead last chance, believing racing into the night. And now we run wild. Now we [Music] run.
Been a minute since I checked in with reality. All my misfits making mischief on the daily. It's a long, long story, but there's no need to worry. For right now, I want it all. Started with a dashing through the streets, escaping off to the skies. It with a DI dead last chance, believing a race city into the night. And now we run [Music] wild. Now we [Music] run.
I can be anything I want to be. I want to be. You could be anything you want to be. Just wait and see. Started with walk past, cold glance, and then a secret pass that I could never know. It ended with a one dance, two hands on the doorstep, reaching, leaning close.
It started with a blindly M dashing through the streets, escaping off to the SK. It with a dead last chance, believing a race it into the night. And now we run wild. W and now we run. [Music] [Music]
When We Were Young. When We Were Young. We hide away on the hillside. She said to me, "You'll never be free till you stand up and fight those fears that drag you all around. Better get the jump before they get you down." Just don't last, but keep coming back. [Music] Like when we were young.
When We Were Young. I needed structure and safety. I said to her, "We'll never work. Just let it slip into a memory." But I still see her in my mind each time I step in the spotlight. Something things just don't last, but some things keep coming back. Now we fly by night like I should have at 17. I see her smile, and it's all so clear to me. Ringing in on a breeze, blowing sweet and warm. We still shine like a sunrise, still hit like a rainstorm. [Music]
I passed her by the other night, just on the outskirts of town. She said to me, "Is that any way to treat a lost friend found?" Though both been changed by change in times, the music played, and the stars aligned. Some things just don't last, but some things keep coming back. Now we fly by night like I should have at 17. I see her smile, and it's all so clear to me. Ringing in on a breeze, blow sweet and warm. We still shine like a sun, still hit like a rainstorm. [Music]
Devs running. Legend becoming. [Music] [Music] Ah, ah, ah. All right, it's fine. It's fine. I'll figure out what you're saying. Cool. Hello. Hello, everybody. Welcome back to episode two. We actually got to episode two. Round of applause, everybody. Well done. We did it. What an accomplishment. Nobody died. No TPK. It's all good. It's so, it's so great. I know. Okay, so before we do anything, I want to acknowledge the background. Emy has improved it again. It now has animated [ __ ]. Look at that smoke. Look at the smoke stack. Look at those smoke stacks. Oh, the smoke's even better. It's programmed. That's particle effects. And with the click of, with the click of a button, it's now nighttime. Oh, wow. And it says in chat as well, the darkness shroud of the dark, shroud of night descend. And Andy's model now looks like the rest of us. Yeah, one of us. One of us. Different. I have achieved. I was about to say, I would have been fine if the DM had ultra graphic privileges. It's fine. He gets shading and ray tracing. It's fine. Oh, God. Oh, God. I do like, though, how how the head still look, looks like us, but the sweater is like hyper realistic down below. It's extra comfy. That's be actually that'd be great. April Fool's. Actually, can for April Fool's next time, can we do, can we have like a hyper hyper realistic model? Oh, my God. Oh, go. I mean, I could do that. I'd be spooked. Just put a chameleon head on [Laughter] me. What I'll do is I'll just get a lizard and then I'll morph it until it's in the shape. For for for Shield, you just Photoshop th from World of Warcraft on top of Shield. Like, bam, done. No. Yeah. Oh, my God, you're right. That's so much better. I is just a puddle of water. Yeah. Or just like a really like jagged like rusty knife that can't do anything. Oh, [ __ ] that reminds me actually. I was going to look at your character, Shield, because I, I'm not 100% sure, but then you, we may need to give you like an actual sword rather than a dagger. 'Cause I'm not 100% sure if like certain abilities you, you can't use or something. Yeah. Uh-oh. I'm nerfed even more so than I normally am. It's also, it's also really amusing because I totally forgot Shield has a great axe in his inventory. Like, I should use this. Hey, F, first game jitters. You got to work them out. Yeah. Oh, hello. I just realized I didn't realize this. Uh, Ik apparently has improved critical. So you crit on a 19, not a 20. Yes. Oh, and 20. You're lucky duck. Oh, [ __ ] yeah, yeah. So if you roll a 19, yeah, if you roll a 19, you're going to, uh, you're also going to crit. Damn. Damn. 10% critical. I'm so proud of that boy. Look at my boy. Thank you. Okay. No, actually, you are fine. Okay. No, it just, um, yeah, just 'cause I felt like you, there should have been more effects, but I guess you're only level three, to be fair. So, never mind. I'm also a child. No, it doesn't matter in D&D. Child with the most HP in the room right now. Just do they really? Otherwise, I would die. Yeah, yeah. Um, 'cause the two fight, the two fighters over here, uh, but the, uh, with everything that, um, uh, Ia, he's technically got three more HP than Shield. Oh, interesting. It's actually amusing 'cause I'm the tank. I'm like, oh, no. Well, I was saying this before. We, we technically got defensive tank and rabid child tank. Rabbit. The distracting tank. Uh, also, so I'm going to do a quick bit of admin before we start. Um, but I only realized I didn't do this last session, but how do you guys want to take your, uh, your leveling up? Do you want it XP or do you want it, um, uh, oh, crap, what's the other one called? Um, um, it's like, um, shoot. It's XP. [Music] Or ent, but Stone. Yeah, basically like I decided like, okay, you did something epic. Level up. Milestone. Thank you. Milestone. MH. Milestone works for me. I feel like that's a, Milestone is easier to keep track of. Okay. Thank God. Yeah, I don't have to keep track of XP. I feel like that makes more sense to with how story based this is. Like, grow as they grow in game. Happy Skeleton War Day. Is that what this is? Oh, it's Halloween. Halloween. Halloween candy time again. All right, fantastic. All right, well, in that case, we can get going. I think everyone already. Let's do it. Thanks. Yeah. All right. Right, so we, where, where we last left off, you had just headed into the tavern and, uh, spoken to, uh, Gunther Fieldheart about what, uh, reported in your success for the first part of the competition, and he then explained to you that the next part of the competition is to essentially go out into the world, do good, and be become renowned in some way. At some point, the, the Lord of Horei should hear about you for you to succeed in this next part of the competition. You en, you all enjoyed a nice meal together. I could chew a few tables. And, um, as he does, as he does so, we, we get this next bit where you, you've just finished your meals, you're all filled up, you feel absolutely fantastic. Um, and from, from the, the, you spent probably maybe like a couple of hours in there, um, and as you're sort of like engrossed in talking to yourselves, um, from the other side of the tavern, you hear just a rapturous sound, um, coming, coming from the other side, and just, and just cheers. Friends. And then you all, then you just hear from around and, um, here from around, it's like cheers to this hell's rising. And, and the, the people surrounding this fell who has just jumped up from the, from his seat. We all knew you'd find that camp. Regler. Good job. I did, or else we'd be drinking not but water with my loss of my money. Oh, someone is very excited about something. I like it. Can I just start laughing like him? You can. And he's very happy and hearty. I think it's great. So I'm just going to start laughing as well. I don't know why. Okay. And there we go. That's what he looks like. Put it on the, uh, thing. Should have probably had that up as I was doing it, but that's fine. That's fine. It's all good. All right, so you started, what was it? You started laughing exactly like him? Yeah, okay. Uh, you, you sort of with your tummy full, you kind of, uh, look over, uh, to to this fellow over there. Cover, beautiful long fox go, blonde goatee, uh, dressed in what looks like violet armor. Sorry, I just read the chat. He looks like a prick. A hot prick. Thank you. Um, anyway, so you laugh as loud as you as you can as well, just getting kind of like a, and he turns, just to, he turns around to kind of notice and just puts, and kind of looks at you for a second, and then puts his, uh, his drink up and goes, "Oh, this is awesome." Yes, cheering as well. Yeah, yes. Good times. What are we cheering about? I have no idea. Ao's going to look over to Shield and be like, "Am, am I supposed to do that too?" Can I get on the table? Kid, you can do whatever you want. I'm not really sure what's happening. Table. Get on the table. It's so laughing too. Go. He looks at you. He turns and look to look at the child who's just jumped on the table and with a wrap of the biggest smile on his face, and he starts to head on over and just sort of like, sort of like pushing his friends out the way a little bit. Like, "What are we chilling about over here?" Uh, the, the very same thing you're cheering about, I suppose. Yeah, they were cheering with you. I, I'm sure. Oh, I think I recognize some of you. Were you in this competition as well? Uh, actually, yeah. Uh, I'm Shield. This is my partner, Aika. Hello. Hello, little one. He kind of rubs your hair a little bit and tussles it. A wa, you're really loud. I get told that many times. He brings a chair up to to sit down at your table with you. So, Regil, me, how did you find the competition? I would say interesting, to say the least. Yeah, had a few interesting encounters. I'm sure you probably had as well. Yes, I made my way through, and that wolf was, oh, such a darling creature. Ah, so you follow the rules then? Of course, I did. Wouldn't harm a creature in there. Good, good. Shield kind of looks over to the insignia on his cape and he's just like, "I don't think I've ever actually seen that crest before." Oh, this, oh, it's a, it's my, it is my family crest. I wear with pride. Ah, I see. He kind of mutters himself, "Oh, thank God it's not a paladin." Wait, I recognize you. Oh, [ __ ] no, no. I would buy you everyone a drink here, but unfortunately, my, my belongings were lost in the, in the, in a, in amongst the forest. Oh, oh, so you, you ran into some trouble going to the forest? I see. Is it the water slide you, you went down there too? Yes, I met some hunters in there, unfortunately. Oh, yes, so did we. I can't really say I experienced that part at all. Oh, really? Lucky for you. Um, I just going to point out as well, 'cause you may have forgotten, uh, Iur and Shield, you actually found a satchel, uh, just before the, uh, the wolf's den. Oh, oh, oh, oh, right. Thank you. Forgot about that. Shield, Shield nods over to Aika and just says, "Kid, I think that satchel belongs to him." Oh, how do you know? And I'm just going to sniff it and then sniff the guy. Oh, it don't mind him. It's just kind of his thing. I, I think it kind of smells like you. I don't know. What do you think, loud guy? What's this? It's, oh, my satchel. Thank you so much. He pulls it open and looks through, um, and sees that all his, all his stuff is there. Still, the, the supplies, the gold, and the, the picture of him with his grandma. And it's just, oh, and I see you were good enough not to go through it. Tell, tell you what. He opens, he spends some time, and he opens the satchel and, um, flicks each of, uh, flicks each of you like, um, uh, 10 gold. Oh, that's mighty kind of you. Thanks. I could choose to bite the gold. It's real good. Well, thank you very much. And I beat you at you, my friends. And he turns around with the satchel. "I found it, friends. The drinks for all." Well, well, that actually worked out quite well for you, indeed. If I didn't know any better, I would say he's actually trying to make himself well known by screaming the most. It smells like dirty raspberries. I think that might have just because he was in the forest. Oh, oh, God. For someone who wants to be so well known, I've not him, not heard him say his name even once. You know what? That's a very good point, actually. But to be fair, we didn't actually ask for his name either. No, you did not. I was about to point that out. Uh, to be fair, they did, they did actually scream it. Oh, did they? Yeah, he's, uh, he's called Regler. Regler. Regler. R E R O U E G L. Like someone who's regal, but L. Someone or someone who's trying to wriggle his way to the top. Am I right? High five. Five. Yeah. Nim. There, there you go. You got it right. Thank you. I, I was thinking like regular, but with like an extra, you know what I mean? Rular. [Laughter] M. He like a little too on the nose. He is the lone human we've run into. Damn. He's basic. Char lattes for all. Oh, no. And he's got ug boots. He's wearing Crocs. Worse designer Crocs. Oh, God. Th writes in his book, uh, not to self. Blonde hair and chai tea equals basic. Got it. The sad part is that's kind of on. Oh, God. Oh, dear. Crocs. Just to any blonde knights in the, in the chat. What was that? I said, apologies to any blonde knights in the chat. Oh, yeah. Sorry. Yes. Th better. We hear at Hollow Bonds, just merely justest when we make fun of blonde knights. But enjoy your chai tea. Is the inquisitive one. He just writes down what he thinks is important. Unless you're into that stuff, then don't worry about it. Yeah. If you're, if you're into getting humiliated, it's fine. Okay. Right. If you're not, drop a sub. This is getting oddly kinky. Let's. All right, all right, all right. I'm sorry. Look, we're wholesome. We like everything. Anyway, to, uh, to just, uh, to just cover exactly what he was doing, um, he cheered up into the sky originally with a beer. Uh, cheered everyone to this new Hallow's Rising. And then obviously they mentioned his name. So, just, just to cover exactly, because I know that voice can be a little bit hard to understand sometimes. Oh, no, it's fine. All right, so you're at your table. What do you choose to do? It's, you probably come around to about like, probably like 3:00 PM, roundabouts now. Uh, Shield's kind of like going through his bag, picking out the, uh, the axe for himself, because he's kind of pondering about using it for later endeavors, and just looking to the group. So he mentioned something about Hall's Rising. Maybe I'm just a bit old-fashioned, but I've never heard of that. Can I, can I do a roll to see if I'd remember what that is? Uh, I mean, I, if you want to roll, I, I will allow you. Um, considering your son is human, I will allow you to, um, to just do that. Oh, hey, thank you for the raid, Manic. [Music] Dude, I need got the old. Yeah, uh, considering your, your boy human, I will allow you to just remember it if you want, but you, you can roll for fun if you want. I want to roll. What's, 'cause I'm, I'm a bit of a dis. So, okay, probably wisdom to remember stuff usually. All right, wisdom. Either that, or or or you could do a history check. Whichever one's better. Wisdom is plus four. There you go. Got to do your wisdom then. Oh, I got an for a roll, so it's 22. Dude, your brain's massive. Wow. That stick I ate this morning must have been really good. Yeah, you absolutely know, uh, what the Hallow's Rising is. It's a, essentially a human-specific event, um, that they celebrate to help guide, uh, wayward souls and ghosts, um, onto the next life. So the people will usually put out, uh, uh, candles, um, to help guide the, the souls. They'll dress up as ghosts and go around the town, and usually the T, especially Horei, will, um, celebrate with, um, various, uh, candy treats and stuff like that. Usually, they'll create the thing that the, the loved one, their past loved ones used to love, and they'll keep it outside their house and pass to other neighbors and stuff like that. A, can I start getting a ton of barriers just out of my hair? Uh, what are you doing? I'm very excited. Just, excite, I'm just, I'm bouncing up and down. No words. No words. Just bouncing up and down in my spot, holding a ton of berries with a big smile on my face. You seem excited, Aselia. What's up? H, what? I think we're going to need a little more to go off, Aselia. I'm just going to like show them the berries and then point to the door and then show them the berries again. I think we need to eat the berries and then run into the door, and then maybe we'll enter a magical world. That's world of wizard. AA, that's a good, that's a good thought. Counterpoint. I, I think it's a festival of some sorts where you give sweets out to people. Wait, what? That, it's my guess. I just going to like jump down and go to Aselia and be like, "Where, where do I get the sweets?" I'm just going to point at the door again. I'm going to run towards the door and try face plant the door with all my. Okay, you run full pelt into, uh, towards the door, and I mean, the exact, exactly what you would think would happen. You face plant and then fall directly onto the ground. Man. All right, Shield just does the disappointed dad sigh and gets up like, "I'll go get him." Nothing if not energetic. There wasn't a magical world at the back of the door. It's okay. Maybe you'll get in next time. And just slowly picks him up. To be fair, uh, Aselia seemed very excited when the man mentioned something about Hallow's Rising. Yeah, that's what had me think it was some sort of holiday. Yes, it seems like many people are actually celebrating this. So I am definitely curious. Question: Was that, was our table near a window? Yeah. Uh, yes, it was. Can I open the window? Uh, no. Ah, this is like medieval times. Like the, the window is, is there. It's, it's two sticks. Can I, can I press my face against the window? Like I really want to be outside, but I look really creepy. Outside. Okay, hold on. Let me just get the map that I was that I had up before, 'cause I'm not 100% sure you're actually going to see much from where you are. Let me have a look. Uh, I just like thought you put your, uh, you put your face up against the window and, um, your squishing gets a bit too uncomfortable for like for you and everyone else, really. Um, you see, uh, outside, you can see the bank, uh, just ahead of you on the other side, and you can also see a bridge, uh, where people are walking back and forth. Some of them are dressed up as like, uh, various ghouls and ghosts and stuff like that. Okay, I've spotted a ghoul. I am out the door. What a ghoul? Ghoul. I want to go follow the ghoul. Ghoul time. Okay. Did she just say ghoul time? She did. Yeah. Like, is going to like very weakly raise up one finger and be like, "Follow, follow them all." Right, to be fair, I think we're done in here anyway, so let us see what is going on. All right, come on, kid. Let's figure out what ghoul time is. Thank [Laughter] you. Oh, God. All right, my character's not crazy. While they're outside. Yeah, definitely. That's what's happening here. Um, yeah, all right, well, you all, uh, you all head on outside at various different speeds. As you come out, you can see that, um, while you've been in there, uh, various stands have started to be set up, um, of different merchants and, uh, people selling various wares. Um, you know, so it, it's become certain, slightly, uh, commercialized at this point. You know, people are selling like, uh, you know, ghost attracting, uh, oil ointments and, uh, you know, oh, this all, you know, like various like hats that they've sewn together, all, um, uh, like outfits that they've put together of ghosts and stuff like that. People are selling different candles, ones with scents, ones, uh, ones that burn bright, and all that sort of thing. Yeah, you see various people going around with their kids, um, who have bowls of like various candies with them. Huh, so cool. So this is definitely a human-oriented holiday, I take it? Can I, I can't say I've ever seen anything like this from my land before. Yeah, orcs are not much of a sweet tooth people. So, yeah, I know the feeling. As your, uh, can I eat everything? Oh, everything. I mean, depends how bold you are, but, um, uh, so as you're, um, as you're, uh, as you're doing that, oh, actually, okay, let's do this one. Uh, actually doing that, you know, just various different smells coming across of of like the candles and, um, uh, the food, but, uh, Shield and Aika, you recognize a, a very, very pungent smell that you've, you've smelled this before. Oh, no. Uh, oh, it's very musky. Oh, no. Hey, Shield, I smell something weird. Yeah, I didn't know any about. I'd say it's the nature brothers back in town. Yeah, they wouldn't let me inside of their hut, and I have a feeling they're not going to let you into their stall. I bet they had really cool stuff in there. Uh, probably, but for, for a, a young warrior, your age, I do not think you should be ingesting any of it. Uh, why? Let's just say sometimes things like that, they sell to adults makes adults stupider. Why would adults want to be stupider? 'Cause sometimes it's ignorance. That is a great question. The wisdom of children. Can I be stupid? Well, kid, if you keep running into doors, I'm sure you'll get there. All right, uh, well, in the, in the slight distance, you notice, uh, as indeed, as you say, a stall that has a very potent smell. You notice that, uh, everyone else has kind of set their stall away from theirs, and you can see these very, these very long-haired, very unkempt people with various, um, sort of like, uh, uh, like, carved wooden, uh, things and like, uh, leaf art and all that spread out across their thing. And one of them turns and to see, uh, Shield, obviously with how big he is, it's, "Whoa, bro, bro, look, it's the big man." Whoa, bro. Hey, guys. You know what? I will admit, it's good to see you too. How you been? Well, you're a bit of a distance at the moment. Yeah. He's shouting over at you with absolutely. You talking? Yeah. Shield just sighs. And says, "I'll be right back." Just walks over. Just looms over the two of them unintentionally because he is a giant man. He's like, "It's good to see you too. How you been?" Uh, so just explain as well, uh, this was something that happened in session zero. I did mention about it. These are the Chlori Bros. The, the elves who believe in appreciating nature in a very different way, through smoking dues. He's like, "Whoa, the big, the big green guy." Whoa, welcome, man. How did you get here? Oh, you know, just kind of followed the trail and went down a water slide. Honestly, it looked like something that you two would have conjured up. But we might have given him the idea. Yeah, I had a feeling so. When your boy selling, oh, what we're selling? Our imagination, man. Man, can you really put a price on it? Said, bro, yeah, of course. Got prices on it right now. Whoa, you're right. I got this. I got this leaf that I put my visions on, man. Look at it. And he like, he pulls up one of the leaves, and it's just kind of like got carved in it. It's actually quite intricate, weirdly enough, but it kind of looks like a night sky with, um, a tree kind of leading up to a star. Wow. Hey, that's, that's really good. You do this? Yeah, man. We, we got nothing but time. Yeah. How much are you selling that for? Oh, there's, uh, okay, that one's about 10 silver. Uh, what, this, this wooden thing? What is it? That's a tree, man. Oh, [ __ ] oh, my God. They're dialogue to each other, man. Just kills me. I'll tell, I'll definitely take this. This is really pretty. But, uh, do you got anything the kid could have that's, um, safe? Uh, let me have a look. Okay, well, uh, let me think. We got anything in the back? We haven't got a back, man. Oh, well, let me look under. Okay. And they just kind of dives under, just falls under and has a look, and he, um, he brings out, um, essentially what kind of looks like, um, kind of trying to explain this, um, it's kind of like a, a special kind of, uh, wood, specifically, um, from, um, from where they would have come from, and it's been carved into what looks like a wave. Like the little bros, a mermaid, right? They, you like water? You probably like this. That's perfect, actually. How much? Oh, oh, you know what? We like you, man. You could just take this one. Give it to the blue bro. Maybe he'll grow up to be like us. Big bros. A, so Shield, because he's, you know, wants to pay for the thing as well, he's just like, sort of goes along with the idea that he's taking in the, quote unquote, fumes, and he's like, "Oh, shoot." Uh, I accidentally pulled out 20 silver, but I don't feel like putting it back. Here you go. Oh, man, you can't go all the way your pocket. I get that, man. Yeah, it's a, it's a real, it's a real doozy. But your boys take care. Before I forget how to walk, or yeah. Oh, thanks. Well, we got something else if you want it, you know, like, uh, some of the stuff that makes you see the world differently. If you want some of it? Uh, no, no, no. Thanks. I'm good. But if I change my mind, you guys will be right here, right? Yeah, we ain't going anywhere until, well, until the guards find us. We're not technically supposed to be in here. Okay, cool. Well, then I'll find, find you guys in jail if you get busted. No worries. Cool. Later, brothers. Later, man. I love that big green guy. Yeah, I thought he was a leaf. It was, it was the Shield, wasn't it? I confused him. Shield makes his way back over to Aika and hands them the the wooden wave. Like, "Ah, happy Hollow's Rising, I guess." Oh, thank you. Oh, I didn't get you anything. I'll go change that. I'm just going to go run and look around. Can I? Okay, can I see anything like any stores around us? Uh, oh, yeah, you are surrounded by them. But, uh, before I do that, I'm just going to put on the, uh, the thing we got. FR, you got some fan that? Oh, really? Look at you. Your face directly into the screen. I imagine that's what it looks like to be the perspective of, um, dress is like a notebook. Oh, my God. V. Or the notebook. You make it a tiny bit smaller. It looks like your head on your VTuber right now. Y. Yeah. Oh, oh, hey, okay, hold on. This, I need to do this. Hold on. Uh, uh, where is it? Key. I'm just waiting to see how this turns out. Right. Oh, hope it works out. Come on. Oh, no, it's going to take too much of his face. Oh, my God. About to say, if, if I ever have a reaction where I, something weird comes in the, in the chat, I just have that where I just look straight out at the screen. That's such a good freaking. Yes. Oh, my God. Hold on. I can crop this. I can still maybe get this to work. I, I knew that was coming. That's look like you really want to mess with the lizard wizard. Yeah, he's making sure you guys have all like hydrated. There we go. That's like, this sounds like someone who's an Eldritch blast distance. Oh, yeah. As brave of you to to say that within Eldritch resistance. Would be a shame if someone hexed it. Cool. Uh, okay, anyway, um, thank you so much. So, so freaking cute. Oh, yes, the hydrate check. Oh, God. Uh, as you're looking around, hydrate or die. Rate. Okay, I don't want to die. Drink. Oh, especially you. Actually, yeah, you should. Uh, you should definitely be, uh, drinking. Oh, God. Right, the mermaid. Yeah, actually, oh, you had a milk, didn't you? Um, so something, uh, something I'll explain for the, um, the mermaid races here, essentially, they store, uh, they store, uh, they have kind of like a transparent part of their body, almost completely transparent, and it's filled with water for them to essentially be on land with. And, um, whatever drink you've drunk, it'll be that color. So you technically right now have kind of like a milky white, um, uh, bit. Wow, that's pretty cool. I know, right? Uh, but anyway, as you're looking around, um, yeah, there's there's a ton of stalls that it's got like everything you pretty much, pretty much everything to do with this, this season. So, you know, it's got like, uh, various commercial things like people have, um, people have made various clothes, uh, to do with, you know, go themed around ghosts and ghouls. Um, people have put out the various candies they've cooked on map. Um, they've, you know, they've got various smelly candles and stuff like that. Do I see anybody who looks really strong? Really strong? Uh, well, you, as you look around, you're looking down further down the stalls, you kind of see, um, what looks like, uh, a very old lady, actually, who's attending to, um, some of her, uh, uh, some doilies that she's made that have some ghosts on them. But you also see right behind her is a ginormous man, absolutely ginormous, probably like edging towards like six, 6.5 ft, 6 to 5 ft. Holy crap. And he's starting to pour the tea for her. Oh, okay. I'm going to go run towards that one if that's okay. Uh, sure. Just stay out of trouble. Oh, okay. Well, you run down and you, you approach, uh, the old lady's just finally set down one of her doilies. Oh, hello. Hi there. Can I talk to the big guy? Oh, my son, yes, of course. Damian, come here. And Damian just kind of like, uh, turns to you. His eyes are like piercing, like shadowed black, and he just kind of just looks at you while holding like the tiniest teacup. Hi. I'm trying to get a gift from my really strong, really cool friend, and I don't really know exactly what you like. You see, I'm not very strong, and I'm not very cool, but I want something really awesome, and I don't want to ask him directly, so I wanted to ask somebody else that was really strong and really cool looking. What kind of things do you like? He kind of, uh, he kind of puts the tea down and kind of just goes, just kind of looks around, and he kind of delves down a little bit and pulls up, um, essentially, it, it's a tea kettle with, uh, a mixture in it. And, and, uh, the, the old lady is, "Oh, that's been told to soothe the muscles. Any kind of injury you've got, you'll feel right at home after that." And, uh, just to finish it off, he takes the top of the teapot off and puts in a stirrer, but the stirrer is a, is, um, in the shape of a great axe. That would be perfect. How much? Can I, can I buy it? Of course. Uh, that will be, uh, that will be 10 silver, dear. Okay. Um, oh, here, here's my. Silver. I want to like try and like dig out as much silver as possible and give it over to her, but I don't count it. Oh, oh, oh, just, it's too much. Oh, I'm sorry. You, you've just started throwing like various like silvers, and it all, it ends up equaling close to equaling up to a gold. It's just like, she, she takes like a 10 away, and you can take this. It's fine. Oh, thank you. Um, do you have any like wrapping paper? Uh, no, I'm afraid not. Oh, no. Um, [Music] H, uh, do I have any cloth on me? I don't know. Do you bandages? Let's have a look, shall we? These white elephant gifts are always last [Laughter] minute. Uh, yeah, no, I, I'd say that you have at least something on you, like at least at least a bandage, because obviously you're, you, the mermaids are are known for their traveling, though you would. I'm going to like really try to wrap this thing up, but like, obviously some parts are going to be missing because I want to pay way more attention to like the middle for some reason, you know, I just, just cuz, and then like one little spot on the side, and then run back over very carefully with it to Shield. Shield, a child is approaching you with a wrapped present, but very clearly wrapped in the middle and not really anywhere else. Shield kind of chuckles and plays along like, "I wonder what it could be." Gently, gently picks it up and opens the kettle and sees the axe and the herbs, and you can almost see a tear shed from his eyes. He just mutters something to himself. It's like, "Reminds me of Patch." He just closes it up quietly and just pats Aika on the head. "Thanks, kid. I'm glad." Yay, so cute. I'm just, I'm gonna need a moment. Well, while, uh, while that's going on, um, as Aika comes back, uh, yeah, uh, Thras, you notice that, uh, the, your, the back of you just gets bumped very slightly. Oh, uh, did I run into someone? I turn around. Uh, you turn around to see, uh, a wagon. Um, it's being pushed by a very, very weird looking and very sort of disheveled looking, uh, old man with a very long white beard, and he kind of looks. You hear like every bone crack. Sorry, sorry. Oh, I, I know that. All right, sir. Are you, are you needing any help at the moment? And then the second you say that, he perks up. Actually, yes. I'm a little bit down on my luck right now. And he kind of like pulls, like K, like the cover over from over his, um, his wagon, and you can see an absolute variety of weird, weird, strange items and trinkets and charms. Can I interest you in your, your, your lovely friends in some trinkets? Oh, this is one of those things I've heard about. [Laughter] This, I'm here for your car insurance. I, I do believe you just experienced an entrapment. Thras. Yes, this is, this is a mistake. I will, I will be sure to learn for future purposes. Um, would it help if I explain each one to you? Um, well, how, how about I take a look first, and then if I pick something out, then you can explain it to me? Oh, okay. Okay. He sounds so defeated. He really, he had like this [ __ ] rehearsed. He's like, "Oh, man." Am I, am I standing next to Thras by the way? Oh, yeah, you're standing directly next to him. Yeah. Oh, okay. I was like, but if I am to be more informed, perhaps I could have an introductory overview of everything. Oh, he perks up his, and he, he, he goes, he goes through his, like, it looks like junk, but he, he picks up a spoon, goes, "This, this spoon will make everything taste like chicken." Oh, and he puts that down, and then he brings up, uh, a silver ring, and it's just this, "Oh, this when blown on will give you a compliment." And he put that down. Yes. Do you want to hear about more things now? Um, I asked him, say, uh, well, very interesting so far. Uh, do you have anything that happens to have any kind of like jewels or things on them? H, let's see. Oh, oh, oh, of course. I, I, I have two things here. And he brings up an amulet and another ring, and it says, "Oh, this amulet is an amulet of rain. It will let you know when it's raining." And the ring, uh, it's the Ring of Control Ant. It would let you control a single ant. Oh, my God, these are great. And I, I have many questions. He brings up another item like these, and these are bagpipes. They'll make you invisible, but only if you play them. Oh, I'm sorry. Mhm. Yeah, you heard me. And he puts that down. Is, oh, this one is great of great use. I call it the Cheetah's Coin. A old coin that can be summoned back to you as long as you're within a little distance of it. Oh, now this one sounds a bit interesting. H, I, I'm not sure how I could use that, but there could be vending machines in this world. What did you say? Are vending machines in this world? There's vending, there's vending people, son of. Well, I don't know if I want to insert a coin into anybody. Well, we don't know where the campaign's going. Um, well, tell you what, I will finish my list. We got it's a ma. And he brings up like, um, sort of like, uh, chain mail. It's the Merchant's Mail. A lovely specimen of chain mail that will allow its wearer to appear more charismatic when selling or buying things. They will love you. Come to think of it, why aren't I wearing this? Well, who knows. Before he can put it on, I just kind of take look at it a bit closer. You snatch that off of him. And, oh, okay. Uh, oh, oh, this, the Auto Journal. It'll record all of your day's events within its pages. Oh, well, well, that, that sounds interesting, but I already have a bit of a journal myself already. Okay, well, I'm, he looks around, open to any offers from any of you. Oh, and, uh, finally, the last thing I have, oh, it's the Infinity Rope. Goes near infinite distances, but unfortunately, it's hopelessly tangled. Well, that seems a little counterintuitive. That's infinite distances, but hopelessly tangled. So if someone was to take the time to untangle it, then it would be quite useful. Yes. Oh, you would think so, but no. Well, then I don't know. I'm kind of torn between the the ring that let you control one ant and the fake coin trick thing. Like, it's just standing over the bagpipes, wanting to blow into them very, very much. What about the spoon that makes everything taste like chicken? Did I tell you about that one? I, I have a qu, I have a question about that. What if you're allergic to chicken? It just tastes like chicken. Oh, okay. I, I have a question with the with the ring that like gives you a compliment if you blow on it. Will that count if you breathe really close to it? I just blow on it. I don't know, dear. Why are you asking me these questions? I was asking out. I'm asking out of character. My character looks at things really close. So obviously her nose will probably be the thing that blows on it rather than, basically just a strong gust of air that are heated air, basically. So, yeah. Really? Okay, okay. Can I put my face really close to every item that's near me, including that ring? Uh, okay, yeah. Uh, you kind of kneel down, well, not kneel down, but like put your head down a little bit, start just very strangely breathing on everything, and nothing really is acting any different. And then you get to the ring, and you, you breathe on it, and it kind of glows for a second and just says, "Your hair is very nice today." Aw, there. So nice. And The Wizard goes, "Oh, it lies too." Well, I did have a smile. No, if, if I didn't know you better, I'd say this is a monkey's paw sort of cart. Oh, can, can I roll to eat it? The ring. Out. Do it. Eat the ring. Eat the Ring. The Ring, um, you should eat it with the spoon that makes everything taste like. God, damn [Laughter] it. I mean, okay, um, yeah, I mean, give me a slight of hand, I guess. Oh, okay. Uh, like, if this works, I swear to God, just, def, you'll be, you still will be paying this. I got a 15. Oh, my God. Um, considering how close you are already are to it, yeah, I guess you just kind of put your mouth on it and just sucker it up. I'm going to, I'm going to have like the, I'm doing this face to this guy. He looks at you and just kind of like, "How I couldn't predict this." You're paying for that. Uh, yeah, yes. Um, well, tell you what, let's, uh, how about we make it a, a bit of a bundle deal since already one piece has already, uh, been procured. Um, how much for the, uh, the cheater's coin and the, the seller's chain mail? Now, the cheater's coin, uh, there'll will be, well, let's see, uh, one gold. And what was it? El thing you wanted? The, the seller's chain mail? Or the, oh, the merchant's mail. Yeah, okay. That'll, yep, that'll be 10 gold. All right. And how much was the ring that she just swallowed? Oh, that's 11,000 [Laughter] gold. I love the music. Stuffed. No, that was no, that was okay. It was.
25 gold. Tell you what, I'll handle the ring. You get everything else. Yes, I think I'll do that. So that's, that's 11 gold for the cheater's coin and the uh Merchant's mail, and 25 gold for my friend's meal. Mhm. Well, I mean, we'll get to use it again in a few days. Rose, oh no. At some point, you are going to go off into the forest and all you guys are going to hear is just, "Oh, what a nice day you have." Oh God, I hate it. He, uh, he takes, he takes all the coins and kind of like pushes the, the thing over the car, and I thought I was crazy. And he just kind of pushes it off and just moves on to the next person. He's going to hustle. She'll just mutters, "Just because we're crazy doesn't invalidate your craziness." Damn. "Preach it. If I open my mouth and just breathe, will I spout compliments?" "No, you've eaten it." "Oh, now my head cannon is Aelia ate it because Z couldn't communicate compliments." "And damn, I relate to that." Is it Shield just kind of looks over at Aelia and just kind of grins and just like, "Are you sure you're not an orc?" He's just like, "Really confused." It's just like, "I'm an elf." "It's like some pretty primal behavior right there." "I'm going to pull both my ears a little bit." "And then I'm just going to go, 'Elf.'" "Oh God, I'm just imagining that." "I just imagine that Rick and Morty episode with the nipples." "Oh God, race swap." "No." "Oh God, oh boy, what's happened to us?" "Yeah, episode two, things got a little weird."
Well, anyway, um, it, it's starting to become a bit, uh, like, right. It's around about 4:00 or 5:00 PM at this point. Um, you, and you remember the words that, uh, Gun told you, um, that you should probably, um, gear up before heading out to anywhere outside of Horei. You're in the, uh, you're in the town of, you're in the, you're the great city of Commerce. So you're going to find the, the best stuff here and find anything here. All right. Uh, Shield kind of looks at the axe in his hand and knows it's a little dull. He's like, "And let's see if I can get somebody to polish this up." "It might be high time to start using it." "Yes." "Oh, real good idea." Um, "If anyone does not have any like, uh, healing potions or things like that, it might be good to stock up." "Um, I know I am able to heal a certain amount, but it's not probably as advanced as I believe Aelia was wanting to do." "Where should I go?" "Ah, an age-old question." "How about you come with me to the blacksmith? See if we can pick out some new weapons for you." "Oh, okay." "I'm going to look over at Thrask and be like," and just dig out a whole bunch of like random coins in my pockets and give them to them, be like, "Uh, can I have some of your healing thingies when you get them?" "Oh, oh yeah." "I, I'll, I'll be sure to keep that in mind when if I find somebody." "Yes." "Okay, I'm just going to like put a whole bunch of random coins in your hands and then just go next to Shield." "I don't know how much money I lost." "I'll, I'll try to work this out later." "I mean, all of you basically had around about 75 gold, uh, is I think it was, um, or however much is on your, your, your sheet." "Yeah." "Oh, Aelia doesn't know what money is, much. She never needed." "Yeah, you just collected it over the years, just like from Dro. It's just been dropped on the ground." "It could be an entire mint's worth of gold inside her hair. We don't know." "Is just looks at it's like, 'I have something called an RO.'" "I'm not sure what that is, but it's got, it's got this many in it." "It's like one topple digit." "It's like, 'Oh crap, pulling platinum out of her hair.'" "My hair is like the old-fashioned cartoon pocket."
Okay, so, um, Thrask, are you? Zia, are you going to go with Bras? "Yes." "Yes." "Okay." Uh, "Well, and you two are heading to the blacksmith?" "Right?" "Yeah." "Yeah." "Okay." Uh, "Well, you, you sort of walk, you start walking off, um, and you kind of like, you split off for a little bit, but you kind of actually converge back together, noticing that the blacksmith and, uh, like a, a sort of like a, a general store are actually very close to each other." Um, and, uh, "Yep, you're heading on in." Uh, "We'll, you head on into the blacksmith, um, and you can see that there is a, a fellow orc there, just smashing away, um, with a, a human next to him, kind of assisting him in the various leases." "Oh, hold on. Let me get up my orc translator that I have here." "Yay, orc translator." "That's not right, son of a." "Okay, apparently there is no actual direct translation for this." But, uh, Shield just kind of smiles and greets the smith in orcish. He, uh, he pops his head up and kind of like, uh, brushes the way the sweat from his, from his forehead, also brushing away some of the grime, and, uh, kind of puts his, what he's doing down, and, uh, like rubs his hands together. "Hello, Kinsman. What can I do for you?" "I'm looking to see if you can sharpen this bad boy up and see if you can suit up the little guy over here." Well, and he, he grabs it and just with absolutely no like, uh, as if, as if he's just picking up a stick. "Fine steel. Yes, I can do something for this." And he hands it over to his, uh, much smaller assistant, and he kind of just kind of like to the ground. "So be careful with it." And he goes off and sharpens that, and then he looks around to, he looks at the, uh, the tiny, uh, the tiny boy there. "A little warrior we have here. Let's see what can we do for you?" And, uh, he kind of noticed that you're basically kind of wearing. "Actually, what are you wearing?" "What am I wearing?" "I don't know." "Actually don't know if you're wearing any armor." "Oh my God, yeah, I don't think you're wearing any armor. That's just clothes." "Yeah." So he just, he just looks closely. "Oh, you're not wearing any armor." "Okay." "Uh, let's see. Well, how about we suit you up with some leather? Start you off with some of that." "Might not be a bad, might not be a bad idea." "He's, uh, pretty fast on his feet." "All right, well, I want to say first." "No, well, leather will allow you for plenty of movement." "Uh, so he goes off and, uh, kind of just, um, gets your measurements, like just wraps around like around your, uh, your stomach and all that, and it kind of like pushes in a little bit because obviously it's like, like a translucent thing." "And you kind of burp because like he's just pushed the water up." "I wish I could burp on command. I totally would." "Damn, I'm so jealous." And he gets all your measurements. "Right. Come back in, uh, a day or two, and we'll have that ready for you." "Perfect." "Any weapon you want to pick out, kid?" "Which one should I get? I've never really, um, found anything that was really good or anything. I just found stuff that was laying around." "Well, if you want to be fast on your feet, there's a couple of options. You could either stick with the daggers, go to a sword, maybe a spear, or you can do range, like with a bow or crossbow." "I want to be right up there, you know, so probably sword or spear." "Then a spear." "I mean, that's entirely up to you. It's something that you can grip pretty easily and it's pretty aerodynamic when you're running." "Last time I held something really long, I ended up getting it stuck in my eye." Shield just kind of chuckles and like lifts up his braids to show the eye patch. He's like, "I know how that feels." "Cool." "All right, so probably a sword then." "All right, which sword should I get?" "I'm going to look around for like the biggest sword because I'm assuming if it's really big, then it's going to be really strong." "You probably would fall over face first." "Hang on, hang on. What's his strength?" "Oh, good point. My strength." "Your strength is a total of 15." "15? There you go." "So give me, give me just one second." "Okay, can I look at the limits of the child?" "What can you lift?" "Let me be Ichigo." "So apparently, so yeah, you're visibly toned and you're able to throw very small objects for a long distance." "You would need to get to 16 before you can carry heavy objects with one arm." "So you could, you could carry a kind of greatsword theme to you, but you'd have to use both arms." "Oh, is there anything that I could inside the shop that I could get that I would require just one arm?" "Yeah, uh, there'll be short swords that you could use, um, as which would probably suit you very well." "They also wouldn't be out of your price range." "Oh, okay. I'll look for one of those." "Okay, well, you look over and there's a barrel filled with various weapons and swords and pitchforks and all that stuff, and you dig around and, uh, you, you pull out what looks like a short sword, um, with, uh, with kind of like what looks like a, a silvery, um, uh, handle that leads down to a notch at the end and a like a circular bobble." "Okay, I'll pull that one." "Now, that's not bad craftsmanship right there." "Do you think I should get this one?" "Uh, let's see. Take a fighting position. Let's see how it looks." "All right, I'm going to like put one foot in front of the other and the other one back, hold the sword like really, really strong and up in the air, and then have one arm flexing." "Does anyone hear Legend of Zelda music?" "You know what? That's a, that's a good look, kid. I like it." "All right, I could like really happy about that because any compliment from Shield just like brings up all of their strength." "Why do I hear Boss music?" "Kinsman, I think we found a winner." He he turns around while he's helping sharpen the thing, and his assistant comes over and just, "Okay, the, uh, short sword and the sharpening." "Okay, so, um, that'll be, uh, all together, that'll be about 90 silver." And do Shield goes through the pocket and puts makes it one solid gold piece. "It's like, has a tip for sharpening the axe real nice. It's a sort of memento for me." The orc turns around, um, and stops what he's doing and, uh, puts his hand out to you. "Great respect, brother." "Yeah, thank you, brother." "Yeah, for anyone who knows, the Orcs in this world, uh, value respect over everything. Absolutely everything." Shield is all about family. "Oh yeah." J takes a good look at the axe and kind of just, you know, mutters to himself. He's like, "You would have loved to see this. Hasn't been this nice since our last fight." "All right, kid, you ready to go fight some monsters?" "HECK yeah." "All right, let's, uh, let's go pick up our comrades before we go." "All right, they got all my money." "Yeah." "All right, so bet." She Shield turns around and waves to the orc one more time and thanks him. "Yeah." He puts put his hand out while he's working. "All right, so we go over to Thrask, Aelia."
So you guys enter into this, this general store. It's kind of like a, a nice wooden building, clearly made, clearly carved out of, um, very strong wood, but it's, as you, as you head on in, you get the smell of various ointments and various steel that you can, and smoke you can smell from the next door with the blacksmith. And there's a few people, there's one or two people in there, very looking at various different things. And you notice, obviously, the, uh, there's an elf running the, um, running the store. So, yeah, just go ahead and pop. "Oh, could I have slipped on this Merchant's mail before I even went in there?" "Yeah, absolutely." "Yeah, okay. I don't know if it'll work since I've not, I don't know if it needs a tun in or anything, but I'll just go ahead and plop it on like under my, um, leather garb I already have." Mhm. "Absolutely." So, yeah, I'll go ahead and step in. "Good day to you there." The, the lady just looks up from an intricate little, like, uh, uh, build of like a tower that she's making. "Oh, yes, absolutely. What can I do for you today, Mr. Lizard, sir?" "Uh, uh, yes, I, I am currently looking for a bit of, uh, health potions for my me and my comrades before we track off on adventure. Do you have anything to offer us at the moment?" "Well, yes, possibly. Um, I'm actually not the one in charge here." "Hold on a second." She gets up and, uh, takes her kind of like building thing away, and she heads up to kind of out the back and up the stairs, and after about maybe like a, uh, 10 seconds or so, uh, a, a gentleman comes down. A human G, sorry, an Elven gentleman. He's quite gruff for what you would normally expect an elf to be. His hair is not very well kempt. It's, uh, he's kind of a bit sheveled and dirty, but he kind of just scratches himself and looks you up and down. "Well, can I get you?" "Oh, uh, uh, yes, hello there, sir. You're currently looking for health potions. Do you happen to have any available at the moment?" He kind of just like, "As, yeah, let me see." And he kind of looks down underneath and just, uh, pulls a, pulls a health potion up. "Only five gold." "Oh, is that the, the only one you have available at the moment?" "You want more?" "If you happen to have at least three more, that would be wonderful." He brings down. "It's just, I'll do you a deal. 15 gold for the lot." "Wait a second. Did he, did he even pull out any extra potions?" "Yeah, yeah, yeah. He pulled out three more." "Oh, okay, okay. So it's four." "Okay, yeah. All right, that makes more sense. I was like, he's like, 'Tell you what, for three, 15.' I'm like, 'But it was already five for one.'" "Yeah, so it is buy three get one free, huh?" "I believe that. I believe that actually seems reasonable." "Yes, I, I will go ahead and do that." Mhm. The chain mail is working. Pushes them towards working. He probably wouldn't have, he probably wouldn't have done that if I had. "Oh no, he would have extorted the [ __ ] out of you." But, uh, yeah, so that's 15 gold off of me. "Yeah, just explain any of the change that was Aelia's has just a little bit of gooey substance on you. Don't know what it is. It could be gum." "Uh-huh." "Just, just to explain, by the way, the, the reason stuff is expensive here, you're basically shopping in like Prada, New York, here right now." "Oh, yeah. Well, welcome to New York. Would you like a cup of coffee for $10?" "Here you go." "Oh my God."
As your, as you're doing your dealings, uh, Aelia and Shield head on in. What is your, what are your passive perceptions? "All of you, 14." "Oh, me?" "Everyone?" "Yeah." "For perception?" "Yeah, you should have a passive on the side." "Yeah, it's nine." "Mine's also 14." "I literally have one eye and I have more perception." "Oh no." "Oh God, yeah, warlocks are not versed in wisdom. Let me just tell you." "Yeah, you guys are very charismatic though." "Okay, um, in that case, um, so Aelia, you don't really notice this, nor do you, Thrask. But Shield and Aelia, you notice someone has entered into the store, and they are, they, they're completely hooded up. You can't see anything on them, and they're kind of like, uh, looking around a little bit opportunistically." "Oh, you know what I mean?" "Interesting." "Yeah." "Yes, I do. They, they're kind of looking up and kind of trying to notice what everyone's doing." Shield kind of slowly slides towards the entrance to sort of block it. "Nice." And looks to Aelia and just says, "Keep an eye on him." "All right, Aelia is going to go run up towards the person who's like really suspicious and just stare at him." "I was going to say, I'm doing the exact same thing, but for what?" "Same brain cell." Thrask is just oblivious. "Is like, do you happen to have any magic inks?"
Okay, so you two are staring, staring directly at this person. They kind of put their head down behind like one of the, um, like the, the small aisle things that he's got. And you kind of see this person turn around and head towards what looks like, um, like a glass case. And you see them open it and having a look at what's inside. "Just to be clear, Aelia is like literally right next to him." "Oh, right, okay. Literally like with every walk they make, Aelia is making the same walk while keeping the eyes on them." "Yeah, I, it's say keep an eye on them." "Mhm." "I take my job very seriously." They, they turn and can clearly, they can clearly see that you're there, but are trying to, what they're trying to do is that they kind of like lift their cloak up so you kind of like can't see what's really happening, you know what I mean?" "No, I don't." "Okay, never mind. Never mind." "All right, well, they, their cloak up and you kind of hear some weird rustling, and like a, a [ __ ] like a [ __ ] like a [ __ ] sort of thing, and, uh, then they, they kind of put it down, and sort of like slowly start to walk out." "Oh, but guess who's in front of him?" Shield just kind of smirks and looks at him. He's like, "You know, you came in this store looking a lot lighter." "They kind of, they kind of bump into you and kind of look, look up you at this point." "You can, uh, you can clearly see that it is a, um, a very, a very, um, dainty and very, uh, pale-faced young elf." And she, she kind of looks up at you and it's kind of like starts shaking and just kind of, um, you look directly in her eyes and you, you're trying, she's clearly got the face of, "Please." "Aelia is going to go right up to Shield, do a salute, and be like, 'I have kept an eye on them. Their pockets are really noisy.'" Shield kind of looks over to them and just whispers quietly, "What did you take?" "I won't say anything." She's shaking, but she kind of opens up her garb and just shows you, and you can see an old, kind of like, very dusty necklace, and a, looks like a gold ring. She kind of looks to him and says, "What do you need him for?" And she, she's really struggling to kind of talk at the moment. "And these were my grandmother's. He shouldn't have. They were stolen from my house and they ended up here. I tracked them down to the store. Please. He won't sell, but he'll sell them for exhauster. I can't afford it." Shield kind of, "Can I roll an Insight check to see if she's telling the truth?" "Mhm. Yeah, go ahead." "All right, oh, a six." "Great." "Oh no." "Aelia, do you want to do the same?" "Sure." "All right, let's see. Insight check." "My wisdom is not that great." "Oh, oh, hold, I have a technical difficulty." "It's okay. It's okay. Nobody panic." "I tell you something." "All right, we're good." "It is a nine." "Okay." "Um, with, uh, Shield, you look down and, uh, you, I mean, you believe her, like implicitly." "And, uh, Aelia, you're looking up at this woman as well, and you can, she's, she's literally shaking on the, you can tell she's on the verge of tears. Like she's not lying." "Aelia's going to sniff her, just like grab whatever her cloak is and sniff her and be like, 'Hey Shield, I think this one's sad.'" "As you grab her cloak, um, she kind of like jolts and kind of moves back and like falls over her own cloak onto the ground." And, uh, as, as you do, the, the ring and the necklace clearly fall onto the ground. "Oh shoot." The owner looks past the, the lizard talking about weird inks. "Is what's going on over there?" And he kind of like comes out, just like, "Oh, am I missing something?" "What?" "It's just, oh, you." And he kind of picks her up and throws to the floor and picks up the things again. And, uh, "Yeah, just keep an eye on." And he, he's going to try and stand in between them if he can, if he can squeeze. "You mean right like after he's done all this stuff or before?" "Before, like, yeah, I could see that she's scared." "Okay, well, as he's heading towards, towards, towards the young lady, uh, you, you kind of like step into the way, but he kind of just walks past you without really much, like, he's, but he's quite tall, he's not really care, doesn't really care." "Yeah." "He's so he's picked her up by here, by her arm and thrown her to the ground and picked up the things, and he's, he's put them in like a satchel of his, and he kind of just like snorts again and just keep an eye on her, and he heads out of the store." "She is clearly, uh, disheveled and panicking and she, 'Please, please, please, please, please, please, I am sorry.'" "What, what just happened now?" "From what I'm gathering with the girl's telling me, I think the goods here are not exactly taken fairly." "Oh, so, wait, could these potions I have been taken from someone else too?" "It's probably why he was selling them with such a good deal." "Oh dear, this is not good." "Should we, should we like, a, like Thrask kind of like just kind of kneel down close to her as well, as like a, a young one, can you tell, tell us what happened, like, what, what is going on with those items that you procured?" She kind of like, uh, wipes her nose and, uh, "Show, but we need to get, I need to get out of here if he, he comes back and the gods won't trust me." "Has this happened before with the same individual?" "I, I don't know. All I know is that my grandmother passed away and her estate was stolen from and I, they ended up here. I don't know." "How can I hand her a berry?" "Oh, yeah." You hand her a berry and it's just like, "Oh, oh, oh, is this a good berry?" "Aelia's going to grab her hand and be all like, 'Chill, we got to get her out of here. You, what? I'm not scared of that old elf.'" "Yeah, let's get her out of here." And then like immediately Aelia is going to like try to pull her up if she can follow and run out the store. "Yeah, okay." "Uh, well, she takes the, the, the berry, uh, first and just eats it and, uh, just, "Thank you." And then she gets up and, uh, uh, runs out with all of you. "She ate the berry. She passes the vibe check, guys." "Cool." "Everyone in the group has done it." "Mhm." "Vibe check." "Vibe check."
Okay, um, are you, so sorry, so you, you head on out. Where, where do you head? "Because of Aelia's history, is it possible that I could like find an area that seems familiar, safe to hide in?" "Oh, yeah, I get what you mean." "Yeah, okay." You come out and you're kind of doing, you kind of like run ahead of everyone else, still holding her hand, and you, you're kind of looking left to right, and you, you notice that, um, uh, you look over and you can kind of see it towards the left, there's like a bridge, long bridge that leads to what looks like a much more fancy area. So you're going to assume that if he's gone to anywhere to get guards, it's probably over there. So you basically, you head, um, over to the right, which leads to like various living quarters and gardens. That's well, you do that, and you end up in, kind of like a luscious garden. It's, um, it's kind of like a public area for everyone to be kind of like mincing around in, but it, it's, it's definitely starting to get like slightly darker now, so you feel pretty safe in this public garden at this point. "Oh, okay." "All right, so once like Aelia feels like they're in a really safe spot, he's going to look at her and be like, 'Are you okay?'" She, um, she kind of, she kind of sits down on a bench near you all and kind of uncovers her thing, and she's an absolutely gorgeous, beautiful young, uh, young elf with long, kind of like, blondish hair. Not much to her name, but you can, um, she's, she kind of like neens herself up. "I'll, I'll be okay. I couldn't get grandmother's things, but I'm okay still. Thank you." "We're really sorry about that. We weren't quite sure what was going on." "No, it's okay. I don't know how they ended up there, but the man there is very mean. He'll never, he never sells anything for for what they're worth. It's not even real, the things aren't even real gold." "Huh?" "Is he, is he familiar to you at all?" "No, not at all. I had no idea. I've heard things about some, uh, uh, I've heard things about some people from the under diary coming up from from below and masquerading as these kind of people, but I'd never seen it before." "The under diary?" She can see that you look kind of confused. "Oh, are, are you not from around here?" "Yeah, we're pretty fresh-faced around here." "Oh, okay. Well, uh, H see, the best way to really explain them." DM looks through his as the elf ponders for a moment. "Through Google." As the elf ponders beautifully in the moonlight, they, well, they, they mainly operate here, but they're a group of mercenaries and slum people who control basically the underground of the poverty-stricken people of this city. They're an organization. They've kind of huddled together and they basically exploit people for their own gain, really. "Do the town guards know about this?" "Oh, yeah." "Yes, but it's not going to, you, it's going to, you can't really prove much, and even so, with get rid of one, another one turns up." "I'm sorry, the chat, but what does she think of chai tea?" "Oh no, shoot. Is she wearing the Ugg boots?" "It is clear this basic girl needs our help." "Could, uh, for anyone who's, could you, is anybody who wants to roll a perception check?" "I, I'll get a roll in, boy." "I stretch those legs." "18." "I might as well do mine. Let's see what happens." "11." "16." "Man, my eyes good." "Okay, everyone, everyone except for Aelia. Um, you kind of notice under the big like, uh, fleece and not fleece, but like, you know, you know the cloak, the kind of stuff that the potato sacks are like made out of, the, the all woven stuff, underneath that you can notice what looks like a very pristine looking outfit. It's kind of like, uh, it's like a, very well-pressed purplish outfit with various like runic signs on it. And if anybody wants to roll a history check." "History?" "Got some." "Oh my God, a D20." "Wow, damn my brain." "I didn't, I didn't notice anything so I won't bother." "Yeah, yeah." "All right, uh, Thrask, you're not very, you're not really aware of this, unfortunately." "Right." "Uh, Aelia, you're kind of aware of this, and you are 100% aware of this." "Yeah, so you, you, you too know, know, especially Pat, you know that this is actually the outfit you've seen it on various travels before that you've been on, but you know that that this is the outfit of the Arcane Arcanium, a very, very prestigious, uh, sort of magical school that resides within Horei itself." "Anyone who's anyone who does magic wants to be there." "Well, if I didn't believe you before, I believe you now. No person of the Arcane Arcadian would end up being a thief." "Oh, oh, of course. I forgot I was wearing it." "Yes, no, I, I studied there. I'm studying various healing magics." "Oh, a place to learn magic, how fascinating." She looks over at your, "Bras." "I can tell you're dabbling in magic." "Oh yes, I that's very recently, but yes, I've been quite fascinated by them. I love to learn new things." "Oh, me too. I love to learn about these." "Oh, maybe you should, maybe you should come along and take a look sometime. They allow, they allow any guests, really." "Mhm." "Oh, that, oh, I, I need to mark this down." Writes that book as a note for later. "Oh, my name is Farah, by the way." "Nice to meet you." "I'm Shield, little ones Aelia, lizard boys, Thrask, and sweet tree girl over there is Aelia." "Oh, pleasure to meet you all. I hope her has run into, run to run together again sometime, but for now, I think I'll head home and just try and see if I can figure out a way to get the, get them back." "How are you going to get them?" "I have no idea." "Little one, actually, I think I have an idea." "The bagpipes?" "No." "Oh, what's your idea, Thrask?" "That cheater's coin." "How convincing does it look?" "Oh, well, let us, let us see." "I pull it out." "Yeah, you, you look it over and you can tell absolutely no difference. This is 100% a gold coin at this point, like the only reason you can even barely tell it is is because you're so meticulous, you know where you put it." "I say, I think the only person he didn't get a good look on was Aelia." "What if Aelia goes back in the store with the cheater's coins and buys the jewelry off of him?" "H, he actually did, cuz Aelia ran in in front of him." "Shoot, is there anyone he didn't get a good look at?" "I mean, not really, because Aelia was standing right next to Thrask and you're, you're basically impossible to miss." "That's true." "Wait, Hallow's Rising. I got an idea." "I say we let the little one go in disguise, buy the jewelry, say it's needed for the costume, and we trick him with the cheater's coin. Seems karmic justice to me." "Like it to be in a costume that is a possibly good idea." "I believe at the moment, I do not believe I can pass as anybody else at the moment." "I was about to say, Aelia and Aelia might be our best chance right now." "I'm just confused. I like this. I like this event. I just don't know anything about it apart from fairies." "So I say, if we can, why while you're discussing all this, the lady is sitting there just, 'Oh no, no, no, no, no. Please don't. Do not get into any trouble on my behalf. I've already caused enough. Please.'" "We're pretty capable bunch. We can get ourselves out of trouble." "Oh, I know, but you're, you're in the city of Horei. Justice here is damning and swift. We'll just be swifter." "I appreciate the thought, but if I'll figure out some kind of plan and help, and maybe I can, maybe if I can find you again, we can figure this out and maybe, maybe even help figure out a way to stop him entirely if he's, you know." "You know what? We actually do have to be here for the day because little one over here needs new armor, and that's going to take a day or two, so we'll be here." "Okay, well, thank you. Yes, please do not get any, especially on this, this Hall day. You should be enjoying yourself." M. "Um, she, she kind of like picks out from a satchel and hands Aelia a piece of candy." "What does it taste like? What's the flavor? Tell me what the flavor is." "I'm going to eat it." "Cadbury Cream Egg?" "No." "She, she got some." "Got you [ __ ] that's your tear list yesterday." "Anyway, um, no, um, You, you chuck it in your mouth and you know that it's, uh, you notice it's the scent, it's the taste of fresh blueberries." "A, I'm just really happy." "Well, I'll be seeing myself off. I'll stay with a friend tonight, just in case. Thank you so much." "We'll be at the tavern if you run into any trouble." She, she bows her head to you and sort of wanders off into the housing area. "So we're totally going to go do your plan, right, Shield?" "We'll do, Aelia." "Tell you what, we'll do half the plan. I don't want her to get any more trouble than when she already is in. So what you say we go get you a costume?" "Oh my God, you hear that? Costumes? Costume?" "Yeah, I'm just excited. I don't know why." "Just go with the energy. I'm sure you'll match it." "Well, I'll take you to the costume shop. Going to find you in a mask." "I'mma be a turtle ninja man." "Oh yes, before everyone leaves, I'll go ahead and pass out the health potions, like one to each person." "Oh yes." "Oh yeah." And, um, "I, since I didn't, I didn't use it, but I will pass Aelia's coins back to him." "Said, 'Oh, here's the change for the potion that I bought for you.'" "Oh, thank you." And he's going to stuff all of them back into his pocket, but not actually. "I knew he wouldn't count it, so I just it back." She Shield just kind of smirks and looks at Thrask and just gives that look like, "You didn't spend any of it, did you?" And he just kind of like curls his tail up by his mouth. "Nice."
All right, well, um, you all kind of head on out of the, uh, the, the living quarters area, across the, across the bridge, uh, with, uh, the, the waters flowing underneath, walking past the few people back into the commercial area. And as you're kind of heading towards the commercial area, um, you notice, there's kind of like a, a man, kind of like, uh, wandering around in between, in between various people, and he's kind of seems to be approaching people of like groups who look kind of like, like they can handle themselves, and he is, he's quite disheveled again, uh, sort of like long, sort of like shoulder-length hair, and he's wearing kind of like, just normal peasant clothes, and he seems to be in a bit of a, a bit of trouble, and he's, he's kind of asking various people, begging them for help. "A man in peasant clothes is begging for help." "Ent?" "Yeah, he's essentially running around going around to various different people, and he kind of, uh, falls to the ground on his knees, just, no one helping him." Shield walks over very quietly to not scare him and just leans down. He's like, "You doing all right?" He kind of, he, he kind of looks up. "You, you, please, please help. Please, please help me." "What seems to be the problem?" "My son, he, he went into, he went into one of the crypts outside the city, and I, I can't, I can't find him. Please, please, I need some people to help me." She looks over to the group and just does a little check to see. It's like, "Any of you scared of going into a crypt?" "Oh, uh, can't say I've tried it before, so I'm unprepared, unfamiliar." "Is that like, is that like a borrow?" "It's kind of, crypts are kind of like a burrow where the dead are put to rest and respected." "That sounds nice." "Yes." "We, we sort of have something like that back home, but it's not so much for bodies as it is for skins." Shield just looks to the peasant and like he tries to give the warmer smile he can. It's hard for Orcs. And he's like, "We'll help you find your son." "Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you." He kind of climbs up on you just, and then kind of like, um, gives you a hug. "Okay, we're, we're doing this." "All right." Aelia is going to sniff this one too and be like, make a really weird face afterwards, be like, "Okay, Shield, Aelia, be nice." "Yep." "When I give him the biggest hug ever, like, like off his feet, almost broken back, squish hug with a big smile." "Yeah." After he's done hugging, Shield, you kind of come up behind him and just kind of like hug him. "He, like, 'Don't mind her. She has a son, so it's probably feeling some serious vibes right now.'" "I love hugs." "Iselia might want to put him down so he can bring us to where the crypt is." "We're taking him with us?" "Well, I mean, he's got to show us where it is." "I'll carry him. Just try, just try not to kill him before we get there." "Okay." "Well, with that, B, are you, you okay with joining as well?" "Yeah, yeah, for sure." "Okay, cool. Awesome. Everyone's in." "All right, well, um, he kind of gets himself back, uh, to normal, and then, cuz, 'Okay, come follow me.'" "Thank you, thank you, thank you so much." He starts to head towards the, the exit of the, uh, the, the city, um, and you, you kind of notice him like sort of like circumventing like various, various people, and he kind of makes his way out of the, out of the city, and starts to head down, kind of like, uh, the, the crossroads, a little, and like maybe like a five-minute walk, uh, to, essentially what looks like, uh, a stone opening. It's covered in various mosses, and you can tell this hasn't been touched for a while, and the vines are like have been broken. But does anybody want to do a history check for me?" "Sure." "Yeah, do that." "I'll do one." "Oh, 17." "13." "16." "Okay, 15." "I'm going to say, all right, you got the most for this, but, uh, Amy and, uh, ESS, you'll notice. Pat, not so much." "You're aware of it, but not very much aware of it." "You guys, you guys are aware that this is the, the crypt of one of the first Lords of Horei." "Oh yeah." "It is said that this man was the most, the wealthiest of anyone on this continent, to the point where even, even the go, even the human god himself, Asher, himself was thought of him as almost an equal." "Ooo." "Nobody really knows how he got this wealth, but he was buried here and seems to have been forgot." "But yeah, so he leads you on in, and, uh, he says, 'I, I don't know what, I don't know what's down there, but the poor lad, he wanted to, he wanted to help any of the, with Hallow's Rising, he wanted to, you know how it is, kids just want to go do the, want to go do the craziest thing.'" As he says that, Aelia is going to like go towards it and try to like sniff everything.
All right, well, yeah, yep, gone. Yeah, it's like, user usually tend to do crazy things. Believe me, that's going to need different music for this. Uh oh. Spies, spies. Oh God, no. Holy sh. It's like I just said the immediate wrong thing. Like, you're cool. Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition. Jesus. And, uh, uh, unfortunately, you weren't aware that a bayonet comes out of, comes out of it. Oh no, sorry, sorry. Wrong music. Okay. And background change. Oh, why is that the cue for it? Oh, oo. And damn, Amy, you went hard. Like, what the [ __ ]? Yeah, I hand animated that. Oh my God, Amy, why is there an eyeball behind me? I don't like it. It's a skull. Don't worry. Oh, okay. Wait, that's not even better, dude. Oh, it's just a skull. Oh, all right, yeah. Happy Halloween, boils and ghouls. Bones dry enough for the army? Yeah. Also, yes, I did go big or go home. There's like pretty animated effects on every map except one. Oh no, no, never mind. It's on every map. About to say, Amy works out of the home, so technically you went big in home. Bam. I, I do go big because I'm small and it makes me feel taller. All right, adorable, adorable. Let me just add his token in. Ah, thank God. Orcs have dark vision. I can kind of see ahead of me. I think I. Oh, let me just make a good point. I make sure that you've got proper dark vision on. Yeah, there. Lighting, unfortunately, Thrask does not, so he has to keep his light on. You guys. Okay, just to check, you guys are able to see at least a corridor, right?" "Yes, I see." "Yeah, I see a corridor." "It does look a little different from your screen, everybody else." "Yes, I'm not going to, I'm not going to cheat. I'm not going to look." "Oh, um, the reason it looks different is cuz I had to test out the lighting, so, um, I, I control, I control all of your things." "Easy way to fix that at the moment, I'm just going to pop out chat so I can still read it and then just look at the other one." "What is your night vision distance?" "Pat, 60 ft." "Oh, same." "Oh, same brain cell." "Same brain cell." "Yeah, I don't think you want to share that with me if I'm honest." "It's okay. Shield feels like one of those guys who tries to be smart but is actually incredibly stupid and audo and intellectual." "You guys see cool." "Okay, so, let's see where are we?" "Uh, all right, so, uh, yeah, you, you enter into this very dank, very, uh, moss-filled, very wet, uh, dusty old crypt. The, the walls, the walls are about, the walls are a good height, so you know, like a good, like 8 ft, 9 ft, actually, you know, probably like 10 ft tall. Very clearly, a lot of care did go into this place, but it's been very obviously left, left in the way it is." "Oh, what are you doing? This place smells weird." "Oh, it does, yeah. I was just about to say the same thing." "Yeah, there's a, there's like a, there's like a smell and a taste in the air of vegetation, like in trees and stuff like that." "I hate veggies. I'm so disappointed. I thought we were going to be in like a burrow, but like the stones would be more like stones, not carved stones. Humans burrow. Human stone. This isn't very comfortable." "Oh, well, stay close and you'll be fine." "All right, anyone with dark vision, AKA M, lead, try to stay close and try not to touch anything." "Aelia is going to be as Shield says that, Aelia is going to pull his hand away from the wall where he was obviously touching everything." "He just put AA just puts his hands up and they're just clearly green." "Thrask has to go ahead and just cast light on his staff." "I was about to say, it was either that or someone in the chat said it's like you could just do the lizard thing where you have thermal vision, you just flick your tongue out." "It's like, oh yeah, will probably." "He's not really done as much of the survival type of thing as like some of his warrior kin, so he, he'll at least be trying to like perceive."
The area and try and smell with you know a little bit of the tongue action. Yeah. What's the distance of your light? The light, let's see. Touch one object that until the SP lands. The object sheds bright light in a 20-foot radius and dims light for an additional 20 ft. Ooh, so 40-foot diameter and then 20 foot of dim light past that. Okay. You could have saved just trouble and just held my hand. That is very kind of you, but now I get to hold your hand while I get to see you. I'm going to hold both of your hands kind of around your stuff. This is so wholesome. I can't. Cute. The guy looks around. Why are you holding every? Why is everyone holding hands? It just sort of happened. I'm going along with it. You might. We're a very odd group, I will admit. Anyway, all right, well, uh, you should be emitting, uh, 40 ft of light now. Okay. Okay. Uh, well, he's, uh, he starts to, uh, sort of like, well, he keeps behind you all because obviously you guys are the ones who are, uh, like powerful enough. All right, go ahead. Where do you go? Uh, Shield notices this corridor right over me and just kind of takes a peek in to see what's in there. I immediately follows. As you head on in, um, you this place is clearly, uh, like very broken down and there's some pews to the side of you which are in a complete mess and altar, uh, which is again completely broken and in a mess. Um, you notice there's like a, uh, like a thing for holding water in which has just been covered in, uh, horrible moss and dank water. Um, but from what you can tell, the best you can tell really, is that this might have been a place for people to come and worship him. Maybe. I see. Is that a toilet? I kid. I wouldn't use that if I were you. Oh, okay. Uh, let's see here. Just sort of takes a peek around just to see if there's any sign of like kids hiding in here. Uh, let me roll for investigation. Investigation. A zoom. That's a six. I'm dumb. As you look, as you look around, like this, this place is just, you know, even, even with your vision, it's just there's just nothing here. It's just all broken. Um, you don't. That rules that out. Okay. What's the thing in the corner? Uh, it's like a, it was like it would be like an old, um, uh, those metal things that hold like a fire. Yeah, bra. Look, I keep calling it the other one, which is the thing, the thing Amy really liked in Valheim, but their house was covered in. Yes, look, my houses look dope. Thanks. Yeah, the one Valheim feature. Titty. God damn. That's all I know. I can. Don't look. Oh, okay. Cover your eyes. No. God. Okay. All right, well, as you, as you turn the corner, uh, a more longish corridor, um, stretches ahead of you and absolutely just disgusting, uh, rug, just completely destroyed at this point. Really, my parents had that rug, but in the same condition. Um, yeah, and there's a next to you are two headless knights, um, of stone. Can I sniff the rug? You absolutely can. All right, I'm going to get down and sniff it. What's the smell like? I'm just going to look up various diseases that are available. Oh, God. Pulls up DM notes. All right, as it turns out, Black Plague now has a leprosy, which is the first time a mermaid has ever gotten that. Even with with grass trying to do the tongue thing in the air, he's like, no. Smell like human. Shield, uh, looks to our peasant friend and be like, does he, does the crypt have any like passages for extra space for, um, for, uh, the past? Oh, uh, by the way, uh, ignore the light that's going on to the left. I just couldn't. I forgot to put a thing there. Okay. Um, sorry, so what was it you asked again? Sorry. Uh, like trying to see if there's like a, like secret passages that like contain extra rooms to put the dead. Um, well, I'm, I'm not 100% sure of this place. I've never been in it myself, but, uh, it, it said the Lord was was buried here. That's all I know. He, well, I suppose if we could split into two, but I'm not sure that's a little far ahead. Sorry. That's okay. I'm not entirely convinced we should be doing that yet. Um, is there any kind of signs on the floor of like, you know, like dust being disturbed or like footprints that have led it through this area? Hey, Ridel Twitch. Thank you for the Prime. Thank you for the Prime sub. Hey, hey. Your way. Uh, yes, you can actually absolutely check that. Uh, let me see. Give me a survival check. Survival. Okay. Oh, I almost had a natural 20, but it's a. Oh, man. Okay, well, you, you look, you, uh, you look down on the floor, um, trying to find various disturbed, uh, like moss or dust or, but really, I mean, with how sensitive, uh, your senses are with especially with your tongue in here, your your eyes are kind of watering and you're just kind of like, this is just not pleasant. It's like, I, I can't tell anything in here. This is this like, even my the the skin stores back in my land are kept better than this. Well, I suppose our only options just to keep going in then. I suppose so. Can't imagine crypts would have crazy hidden passages. Unless, unless. All right, well, ahead of you, you, um, you notice, uh, a room, uh, and what looks like a well. Uh, the again, completely disheveled. Um, you also notice there's some stone bookcases, um, on the on the side of the walls, um, and they've kind of got various books on them. They're not great, but they are still at least slightly readable. Can I look down the well? Is there anything down there? You could test the coin. Oh, we don't know how deep that well is though. You can always summon the coin back. Well, I mean, it's, he did say it a short distance. Yeah, he never said how far the distance was. Oh, uh, if if you want to invest, if you want to investigate the coin, I'll let you know how long the distance is. Ooh, oh, well, yeah, I'll, I'll definitely do that. Take a peek of that coin. Take a peek. So make an investigation check or, uh, yeah, sure, just an investigation. Can I investigate the well? Uh, yeah, go ahead. This double efforts. Yeah, if any of you guys ever want to suggest anything for to do a roll for, just absolutely go nuts. Um, 15. 15. Okay. Uh, you take a moment to look. TL, we'll say that you did this before when you got it. Um, you, you, you investigated it and you kind of looking around while, uh, the crazy wizard guy was talking to everyone else and, um, from your various magical knowledges and this strength that you could kind of feel of the magic from it, uh, you're guessing around about 20 ft. Oh, that's not bad. Not bad. An 18 with the well and the 18 with the well, uh, you kind of prop yourself up, um, with both your hands and kind of look down and just sort of like yell, hello, hello, hello, hello. And it's, I mean, it's, it's pitch blackness. There's, there's not really, to be honest, there's not really anything to see and investigate. I was waiting for somebody says, and the well says hello back. Little did we know, one of those like compliment rings are actually at the bottom and it's like, wow, nice echo. Echo. [Laughter] Echo. Um, okay, well, Thas will definitely be interested in looking at the books on these, uh, shelves here. Shield just stays close to AA so he does not fall in the well. That's a good call. All right, cool. Um, well, you, uh, first kind of flick through the books a little bit, being be careful to, uh, especially with the the the lizard folk being so interested in preserving the past, this is actually very interesting for you. So you flick through and it starts talking about, um, uh, the Lord, Lord Cent, few, Cent, Cent, put it in the chat, Lord Cent of you, um, and you kind of start reading about and, um, as you start reading through and just flicking through, you you're kind of noticing that really like other than him, other than him being excessively rich with this gold, everything else is kind of nothing really that good has been written about him. He wasn't, he didn't seem to be known as a good. He seems to have made a lot of jealous, selfish, kind of things about it. The only real good thing that he seems to have done is the the fact that the money is what's is still supporting Horei to this day. Okay. And, um, as you flick through that, you put that down and you, you pick up another book and, um, you've heard of this before, this book, um, but it's a, it seems to be, um, a book about a very lusty lizard folk named Baba. Baba. Oh, my God. Oh, no. Andy, are you about to do a Lusty Argonian made reference in this stream right now? Is this what's happening? What are you talking about? Her name's Baba. Oh, you're right. Obviously, totally different character. My mistake. Oh, oh, yeah. Yes, very interesting history. So much to learn here. I pocket the book. Very good. Interesting history. Oh, Thrask. Oh, my God. Naughty, naughty. [Laughter] Boy. So, oh, actually, hold on. The emote that's perfect. So comedically timed then. Thrask looks over or Shield looks over the Thrask like, do you find anything interesting? Yes, yes. About the Lord? Yes, about our Lord that is in here. Yes, that that thing. Why are you, why are you blushing? Nothing. No, I'm just so amazed about the the vast amounts of gold that this Lord actually had during his life. It's, it's very, um, it's very overwhelming. Well, Thrask's really excited about a book. Oh, a little too excited. And he just smirks and looks at their ask like, whatever you found, don't let the kid read it. Thank you, Sol, for the subscription. Hey, um, and the last thing you noticed as you put the book away was, um, volume one. What volume one was the one you? Volume one. This like a first edition type thing? No, no, no. Just number one. Just number one. Okay. Okay. There's collec. Actually, you know what? No, yeah, it is actually considering who who's place this is. Yes, it is a first edition. Okay. My God. Oh, boy. Well, time for collectathon. I wonder what I get if I collect the whole set. You get a visit from Baba. You learn how to summon her. Find familiar. Oh, my God. Find familiar. Oh, God. Jesus Christ. Who is Baba? Good question. An angel. Questions for another [Laughter] time. Well, she'll takes this opportunity to go look at the other books, just to see maybe if there's anything to his [Laughter] leg. Oh, God. Um, and I will, that's, and I will roll for this, just to see. 15. 15. Okay. Uh, so what are you looking for something specifically about Orcs? Uh, anything about Orcs are like the Cent of you. Um, so you, you flick through, um, and various, and it seems like there's a vast collection here of, um, what was, what you would hazard I guess is, um, essentially the Lord's favorites, wish to be buried with them, um, and, uh, again, you kind of find a few things about like his exploits and, um, uh, one book was kind of written about him with an interview, asking exactly where this, you know, how he came across this fortune, and the fact that he never answered this, even in his deathbed, um, and people are still wondering to this day, this mystery. Um, you find a book, uh, uh, covering various races of the of the world, um, and it mentions a few things about the Orcs, like how, um, essentially, give me a second, uh, yeah, it mentions various greetings and mannerisms they have, um, the fact that respect for is for those who deserve it, not those who demand it, um, and obviously, you know, all these sort of things. It goes over a recent war they kind of had, um, about during the reign of their previous chief, uh, that he put forward that respect should be kept only within the Orc race itself, um, and this caused a divide and a civil war broke out. Um, eventually, they were overthrown by the present chief, who is say, who is said to have communed with the gods themselves and has been bestowed the power to overthrow them and restore the peace, and you know that to this day, that to be true. H, seems, yeah, the L. I see Aelia has started wandering off. I'm very bored. Everyone's looking at books. We were supposed to be finding a kid, and then somebody got thirsty. I, well, that wasn't what I was looking for to begin with. Sure. Right, well, like I go, no, never mind. I'm not going to give myself away. He, oh, my God, he doesn't deserve to [Laughter] know. Like, all right, let's keep proceeding for. We're not getting any answers here. Wait, if you're thirsty, this is a well. Gross. Ah, the Well of Unquenchable Thirst. We found it. There is more water in the toilet. The shield told me. Let's go near the toilet. Sh called Thrask. 4K. Still don't. Okay, to explain the Baba thing in Skyrim, there is a very well-known book series you can find called the Lusty Argonian, and it's basically an erotic fanfic of a lizard. This is my version. Not, not just a lizard. What Skyrim considered to be the prettiest Argonian in the land. This, it's very important. I'm going to stop you from looking because you ain't going to find anything like about that online. Yeah, say I need to do research. Oh, no, I get it now. Good. There you go. The lizard is called Li. All right, when one see. That's that's that's enough. That's enough. That's all right. Well, you continue down the hallway and you come up to what looks like, uh, probably one of the biggest rooms so far. Ooh, there is a big room. Oh, oh, it's big. It's big. Um, is it a box? Yep. There's, uh, there's four me and his alien both went to the box. You guys are just like spirits at this point. I like it. It's made out of wood. Is there anything with like a keyhole in it? Uh, yeah, the biggest chest in front of you has a keyhole. Oh, my God. I'm going to immediately try to put my key inside the keyhole. Okay. Uh, you put your key in it and try to turn, but it to no avail. A, we'll find the box, don't worry. Can I put my finger into the hole? They tried to put a key in it. Doesn't matter if it doesn't fit. I'll just poke it. Yeah, I mean, you tried. You poke it, but, uh, I mean, it's a pretty big chest, so the keyhole is pretty huge. Um, yeah, you can fit your finger in. Okay, I'll turn it and then pull it back out, confused as to why we're putting things in the. As you, as you, as you put it in and you pull it out, your finger was obviously quite, like stuck in there, so you had you had to use some force to put it and as you pull it out, you notice the the top top of it just kind of lifts up for a second. So it was Oh, my God, you're the key. What's a key? Meanwhile, like AA is just like mind blown, just staring at Aelia with [Laughter] like, sweet son of a curse. Oh, that's a good point. If that had been a mimic, holy [ __ ] God, right to Aelia's hand because I, because I kind of forgot about it. I, I'll go out of my way to only touch the wooden parts to open it. Oh, uh, um, well, okay, yeah, you, you, you pull it, push it open, and inside you find various, um, kind of kind of like, it's, it's half of it kind of has like fermented like seeds and like, uh, wheat and stuff like that, and the other side of it kind of have just like various different parchments and papers in there. And I would leave that here. I'm sure that was meant to be an offering to the [Music] past. Might be might be wise to not take anything we don't need now. Everything here smells bad. Yes, that's a very good point, kid. It is quite strong here. Still trying to see any signs if the if this kid ran went down through here. You want to take another shot at it? Yeah, sure. See what happens. Investigation. That's better. 15. Hey, hey, fantastic. All right, well, um, you're taking a look around and, uh, you kind of noticed, um, sort of like, uh, leading through the room, um, is some disturbed, um, uh, disturbed footprints and in the moss, um, uh, and but as you kind of like look a bit closer to it, um, you notice there are quite big. They're not, don't seem to be childlike, really. Uh oh. They're kind of more adult size. So I kind of let go here to look. It's like, huh, someone has been here. Oh, yeah, I think they were looking for a kid. Ask, yeah, right, right. So kid's been here. I don't think that's what Thrask is implying. What? So I, I kind of, uh, pull, like, I'm looking down at these footprints and I kind of pull Shield down close to me. I just say, keep an eye on the person behind us. Something is not right here. We'll do. What are we talking about? Kid got some big feet. Aelia, this big feet person. My son has big feet. Yeah, well, might know, might know your son. We have to go find him. While I have you down here, can you check to see if he's got anything, uh, what's the right word? Your kind of magic on him? Oh, right. Uh, yes, I could do that. We have to give me a few minutes. Um, so I, as, um, just in exploring the area, I will try to quietly, um, ritual cast to detect magic. Yeah. Are you going to? You're trying to hide it from him? Yeah, I'm just trying to like, be very curious, like, come over here by, oh, why, why am I trying to drag it on the Twitch screen? Oopsies. Like I come over here and try to investigate these boxes and then just start trying to ritual cast from there. Okay. Uh, the components for detect magic are both verbal and somatic, so you're going to have to do, if you want to do this without him noticing, I'm going to have to have you roll a stealth check for this. Oh, wait. What if, what if you just got everyone else to talk really loudly? Well, somatic also means he's basically having to use stuff for for it as well. Yeah, it's, it's particle effects and pretty things. Mhm. Be right back. Okay, that is rough. Well, let's wonder maybe, but just by hope. Shield just kind of stands right there, just in line of sight, is like, I'm just, I'm big. There's nothing happening here. You may want to ask more, maybe like, maybe just like talk to him more about this son while I do this. Sure. Uh, yeah, good idea. Uh, so how, how long's your kid been missing? Uh, he's, so you head on up to the guy who's kind of looking around, and, um, he looks up at you. Uh, he just went missing today, like, just like not that long ago. That's why I rushed over to the city as fast as I could. He didn't go with any friends or he just went in by himself? No, he, problem is with the H, the H's rising. Every every kid tries to do the scariest thing and tries to go. Some of them try to go find the ghosts, and everyone around here knows about the Lord, so that's guess that's what he tried to do. Well, it's a, if only he picked out a more obvious costume. Hopefully, other people would have spotted him. Well, anyway, can, can we please keep going? I, I, God knows what's happening to him here. Right, right. We're just, uh, it, yeah, okay. So while he's doing that, before I start casting, before I try to attempt this, I want to, uh, give myself guidance if I can. Oh, okay. So that'll add a D4 to my stealth check as I'm trying to ritual cast here. Oh, smart. Yeah, casting going. I won't be too hard on you because technically the casting for this is 10 minutes, right? Yeah, it is. It's okay. I'll, I'll let you do it. Okay. Yeah, so a D4 on, um, a D4 on, uh, your stealth. Yeah, okay. And plus D4, that's a one, so that would be 16 all together. [Music] Oh, I'm going to say that if Shield can figure out a way to stop him from just trying to go past him at this point, because obviously he's trying to find his child, then I'll let you pass it. Yeah. All right. Stay right by me for a second. We're just trying to make sure that nothing here is going to have you fall through. He, he, he kind of gets stopped as he's trying to go forward and like fall through. The whole place is made of stone. Well, I mean, if you look at the moss over there, it's looking quite, uh, a little decayed and everything, so the water erosion, it would be really bad. Well, you're, you, you're standing there and your friends have already gone past. All right, Charisma check. Not let you get away this easy. All right, all right. I can see this, by the way. Like, can I can hear it? You can you can hear Shield and him talking, like you're in an, you're in an enclosed area, so it's echoing. Oh, that was a roll. The 10 looks. Um, sorry. Hello, Halloween. People are starting to show up for Halloween. Um, I can't, I can't pull away just yet, so I'm going to have to. You, you can go. You can go. You can go. Give them some candy if you want if they're at your door. I'll, I'll, uh, I'll do that later because I, I got it's better if I just give it all out in a big, you know, big flow that way. Okay. Um, well, uh, with a, with a 10, that that's not enough to stop him from car from supposedly caring about his child. I could like look around his feet and be like, wait, it's, it's going to fall. Yeah, you got to be, you got to be extra careful right now, kid. I, I knew I felt something under my feet. I wasn't sure what it was. Roll deception. He's like, does it count as deception if the character truly believes it? Yeah, because I believe it. Yeah. All right, roll performance then. Performance. See if that's any better. Uh, 11. Oh, wait, no. I put perception. Oh, sorry. Not performance. Where's performance at? Oh, okay. Here we go. It's another 11. Maybe I'll give you one more chance, but you. H, yeah, hold on. Let's see. You have to, you're going to have to roll me a, I'm trying to think of what you would roll for something you truly believe. I guess I'm going to say roll me a wisdom check because that's an effort to essentially do like body language and stuff like that. So, uh, no, I'm not very smart. Yeah, he don't. Yeah, I'm sorry. This is, this isn't flying. Nine. 11. 11. Nine. Wow. All right, meanwhile, I really do believe the child fall. Yeah, he's not believing. He's like, look, look, I'm I appreciate you coming down here and I'm sure we're worried, but I'm going ahead, whether you like it or not. I just want your help, please. Shield just kind of sizes and like, all right, all right. I won't stop you. Just trying to keep him out of Thrask's sight though, while he's doing this. Okay. Well, he's, he kind of heads to like the center of a room and, um, kind of heads on over and is being blocked by these two. Now, don't, don't move too fast. What about the ground completely caves through and then we're going to be in the room with the toilet? I was told to stay away from the toilet. The closer I get, I might get in trouble because it's stinky. You're going to have to be careful, guy. What are you doing? Is the spell done yet? For the love of God. What would you say? Okay, sure. The spell's done. So for the next 10 minutes, Thrask has detect magic up. So he turns around to Shield and his eyes are now have a like a slight purple sheen to them and like nods like, we're good. Oh, thanks. All right. Oh, you're staring at the guy. Yes, okay. Uh, well, as side glance as I'm like, he's trying not to make it obvious. That's the part that got cut out. Yeah, yeah, okay. Um, yeah, so you, you, you turn your gaze to him and, um, you can see that the, you can see around here that there's various sort of, um, uh, you can see that the place is like, it's got faint air things of, um, conjuration and, um, a little bit of necromantic magic around the place. Um, uh, you, you focus your your attention to the back of the the guy, and, um, there's, there's nothing, there's nothing really on him. All right, well, that rules that out. All right, so that being said, you might be able to use that as a paper trail to see if we can find maybe the kid got taken by conjurers. Yeah, just if there's like a trail of magic or if I see anything in this room that is giving anything off. Uh, you see, uh, you see, um, further down the hallway is, uh, you can see like a ginormous door, um, what, and it looks shining through the moss is, uh, what looks like gold, which has been dusted and dirty a little bit, and from that room, you can see emanating from underneath is, uh, slight conjuration sort of colors. Okay. Oia, don't get too close. What about that is end up being like a whole hole in the floor? So I'm sensing something here. Oh, oops. Should we prepare ourselves? Say, be prepared for anything, really. Like a hole in the floor. Oh, no. Um, you notice on the, um, to to directly to your left, Shield, is a lever on the wall. All right, Shield takes a big old breath and pulls that lever. Oh, Le crunk. Uh, as you pull it, um, it takes a little bit to do it, but the the door sort of like moves and like chunks a little bit, and then you hear like chunk, and, um, eventually the door starts to swing open very slowly, and it's like pushing moss from the ground on, like, as it's doing so. Well, isn't that ominous? Y, uh, oh, give me one second. Just going to go because I have a, I also like how the lever was kind of beatboxing into the room. Oh, is that some guy? It's him. John D and D. Oh, there's two some guys. All right, well, as you, as you all head on in, um, uh, you hear us, you hear you can kind of see basically what looks like, um, two graves, like two graves, um, with, uh, two metallic knights standing to the side of it with two open graves next to it. The whole place is covered in skeletal remains, every, absolutely everywhere. Oh, boy, boy, you, this place is creepy. Took the words right out of my mouth. Well, if your child wanted to find something scary in this area, he's found the right spot. Should, H, is that? Oh, hold on. Snam, is that actually you? Snam, my son. Hello. How many children are you going to adopt? Pat. [Laughter] Uh, until I can't count, so I'd say at least 20. Well, hello. Anything above 20 is crazy. If that is you, Tumblr Snam, welcome. Hi. See you. It does say that they are a Snam, and Tumblr has a lot of SNs. There's OSHA Snam, there is like a Snam that's currently in quarantine for having catboy to. There's a whole SN going on. Boy, this, yes, well, anyway, as you do that, um, uh, you notice that, uh, behind you, you [Music] hear it's a beatboxing skeleton. Wait a second. He's in the room with us. Oh, [ __ ] I should have stayed outside. And the door closes behind you, and you can just hear from the other side, just, oh, God, you guys were the hardest to get in here. [ __ ] Oh, my wow. What language? Hey, no swearing in front of the kid. He seems happy. Good for him. Hey, Shield, can I say [ __ ]? Kid, I don't know how to tell you this, but, huh, but yeah, you, you can still hear muffled from the other side, just, I'll come back in a few days. Try not to destroy your items, you useful ones. I'll be back soon, snake. I see. That's a group effort to take the possessed goods. Snakes aren't mean. When I get out of this thing, you're [ __ ] dead. All I wasn't supposed to say that. Yeah, that's right. You're [ __ ] dead. Did I do it? [Laughter] Right. She just punches the wall. He's like, this is why I hate humans. [Music] Sometimes. You trust them for 10 minutes. Oh, all right, well, as, uh, so you, you're essentially in this room now. Um, what do you do? Takes a good old deep breath before he needs to go to therapy. It's like, all right, let's take a look around. See if we can find a way out of here. Yes, if they made this room, there has to be a way to get out of this room. More than one. What's on the table? All right, well, you, you approach the table, uh, in the center of, in the center between the two, uh, crypt graves, um, on it are some old candles, and some various scribblings of, uh, just various scribblings on parchment. Oh, I don't know how to read, so I'm just going to admire the [Laughter] table. Scribblings on parchment, you say? Well, well, if only someone we knew was into that sort of thing. They have, they have scribble words. Ah, yes, I will, uh, see what I can make of the scribbled words. Uh, are you going to blush again, Thrask? Let's hope not. Uh, you, you pick it up and you notice that it's, um, a basically various signatures, with various dates on them, dating back to, um, like maybe like to 100 years ago at this point, or, and, um, you, you, you're gathering essentially this is people who visited the the various the Lords to give respects. Not much here, mostly just names of visitors that have been here before. Maybe we should just try to find one of those holes and fall down it. There goes again. Happy [Laughter] Halloween. Right? Yep. I'll do it eventually. I'll run out there once we're done. Man, they are needy. Dang guys, get the hit, right? You know what? The knights and armor kind of have my attention. So Shield kind of takes a look over, see if he can find anything suspicious, and I'm a roll for this. I'm a roll. Okay, cool. 19. I'll take it. Nice. You, you look over the, um, uh, very carefully look over, uh, the, um, uh, the the knights, and you notice that their joints, like in between the, they're covered in like, they've got a little bit of dank and stuff around them and stuff, but, um, you notice that they're not quite as dirtied and, uh, disheveled as everything else in this room. Oh, interesting. These look a little. You guys noticed these looked a little fresher than everything else in the room right now. Maybe they clean these and not their toilets either. That or these used to be somebody. What are you saying? These were alive? I don't know, kid. Take a closer look. Okay, I take a closer look. Do I roll for that? Uh, it depends if I mean, it depends on what you want to find out. Investigation. Uh, I want to see if they're alive. Um, okay. Uh, roll me an Arcana. Arcana. All right. Uh, really? That's the one that gets an 18. All right. Um, 18. I guess I'm really into this. Your magical brain, it's been activated. The moment I think somebody's in there. Awesome. Okay. Uh, well, as you're looking over it, um, you're, you're very much aware that, um, animated items are a thing and they do exist, and they are usually, um, uh, of a something of a vengeful spirit that usually inhabits fallen knights. Wait, I know that. Yeah, you would know that. Yeah, you're old enough for it. You, um, yeah, you, you, you magic is a, is a thing that is known between, uh, from it's, it's commonly known. Everyone knows that magic exists, and there's various few things that have become, you know, famous, you know, like the idea of like all the animated objects and, you know, all stuff like that. So you're saying that this was a bad person? I'm saying that you are aware that armors can be animated and controlled essentially. So it's living armor. Yeah. Oh, hey, Shield, I think this is living armor. Oh, boy. Well, at least we know what's been taking out these skeletons in here. Question is, when do they become alive? We open the big stone box. The one on Are you, are you, you mean the the crypt thing? Yeah, okay. Uh, you, give me a strength check. Oh, where's my strength? Also, Twitch chat, I'm very apologized for screaming that loud. That was that was in character. I'm very sorry. Oh, no, I liked it. Continue. Also, hello, everybody. I got a zero. I got one. And I got a negative one on it. Oh, so I got like, noob. Okay. Um, okay, I have the show then. Let's see. Uh, boy, am I just going to cry? [Music] No. You know what? Just for fun. Uh, you go to push it, and you do actually manage to push it open, but you fall completely face first into it, and you get a face full of, uh, essentially very old skeleton dust, and it also falls, the it falls over the other side, and it smacks Shield's foot. Oh, okay. Ow. Oh, iselia, what did you do? Open the stone box. Can I ask why? You just, you put your head up, and your mouth, uh, has essentially what looks like this poor, probably this poor lady's femur in your mouth. Oh, oh, no, that's iselia. That's not a good stick. I am completely unfazed. I don't care. Oh, God, so hardcore. That's metal as [ __ ] man. As, um, actually, Bas, is there anything you wanted to do? Uh, let's see. I noticed you moved over. Yeah, I was, I was just looking. I was trying to see if the while AA was looking at seeing if the detect magic get off anything off the shields of armor themselves. Uh, yep. Uh, so you look up and down it, and it is giving off huge levels of conjuration. Yeah, I figured. And, um, as Aelia opens up the, uh, the tomb, you notice, uh, in front of AA, and in front of you Thrask, as well, and in front of you, Shield, the, uh, this the the armor, I had a des, it's sort of, um, all all of all of the pieces of armor kind of like fall, like a couple of inches, and then kind of like crackle, crinkle, and crackle back up, and then the, uh, it the the head kind of tilts to the side, and then tilts back, and the, uh, the the where the eyes would be just lights up blue. Roll for initiative. Let's go right now. Oh, no. Oh, boy. Right in front of this guy's face too, or behind him, at least. Oh, I got to press the button. Where is the? Yeah, oh, my God, let's [ __ ] go. Yeah, let's [ __ ] go. I got to change the PS. Change the PS. CH them. Than. Okay, it worked. Thanks. The happiest freaking battle music ever, and I love it. Thank you, Octopath. All right, what did everyone get? Let's see. Oh, it already did it. Cool. Fantastic. Uh huh. 19 for me. Ooo, you are ready. Yeah, you were ready. Not really. This is this is your alley, dude. M, you're ready now. I will protect the hidden book. No one gets the book. The armors are like, give us back the book. Return Baba. That's not supposed to be that. Oh, there we go. Can I just say, I love, I love angry AA just like opening their mouth and like a cute thing comes out every time, so it's just like a laugh. AO, what's that in your hand? A knife? No, so you actually have a sword now. You're stronger. I know, but I don't have armor. Oh, [ __ ] that's right. Don't forget to equip the, um, it, equip the sh, the The Sword in your inventory. Inventory. Inventory thing. Yeah, there's like a little square next to it, and once you equip that, then it updates everything else. Okay. Weapon. This might be really stupid, but I don't know how to do that. Oh, it's okay. I'll, uh, I'll show you where like you can do it. Ah, [Music] okay, this is such a banger song. I know. We run into that dude. I am punching him in the face. All right, so in your inventory, if you can see, uh, you should be able to see equipment, oh, and there's like a little red thing next to it. You can equip, so you can equip your short sword. Yeah, okay. [ __ ] yeah. Sweet. Let's go. Let's go. All right, he's ready. All right, fantastic. All right, do, do it up, dude. Okay, okay. Um, I see the armor start to move my way, and I'm just like, oh, uh, magic, is there? Fight this now. Um, will let me see. Let me get my spells up here. Okay, um, I will actually bonus action cast Misty Step. Yeah, and I will angle myself. Let's see, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, kind of like over here. Okay. And from, and after that, I can still use a cantrip, so I will Eldritch Blast. Yes. Let's go. Yes, that one. That was that was just in front of, so let's go ahead and see if this hits. That probably won't. That is a 12. 12, uh, no, that does not hit, I'm afraid. Oh, no. Oh, actually, hold on, hold on a second. Hold on. Actually, which one is he? He is that one. Okay. A [Music] second. Nope. Still doesn't hit. Ah, but now we know they have different armor ratings. Interesting. Yeah, interesting. All right, I'll just say, everyone, time to put your new equipment to use. Way ahead of you. Yeah, and I do my pose from the store with one on. I'm so proud. That kid. He makes me forget how pissed off I am right now. Is there anything else you can do, Thrask? Um, you've done your bonus action and action. Yeah, I, I still have movement, but I think I'm just going to keep myself, you know, between the the crypts and these guys here. Yep. I think I'm good where I am. All right, Aelia, you go. All right, I'm going to cast and Tangle. All right, okay. So an area effect of 20 ft. I, I'm going to go for the one that Thrask goes next to before. Yeah, I assumed as much. Yeah, I didn't want to entangle my friends. Mhm. That's a good life lesson. Don't entangle your friends. Yeah. All right, so we'll say you're doing it from down here. Yep. All right, so essentially this, this entire area over here is just absolutely covered. So you put out your hands, um, and, uh, dig from the ground, and as you do, uh, var, you can see the the stones, like rumbling and moving as, uh, vines shoot out from the from the ground and wrap around with whipping sounds, and int, and wrap around the, um, uh, the knight's armor. Oh, and he did fail the, uh, the save for that. Yay. Nice. He is restrained now. He is no mo. Yeah, and I actually, I forgot about this. The last time this happened, but when a creature is restrained, you attack rolls against it have advantage. Yes, yes, they do. Yes. Oh, interesting. Who? And it attacks against us are a disadvantage. I will, I will leave that for my thing because otherwise, like healing and stuff, which is not useful. You, well, you still have a bonus action, and you can move if you wish. Uh, I don't, no, I don't see a reason for moving. Yeah, I'm all right. So I, I'll, I'll just end my turn. All right, so it is this boy's turn over here. Oh, well, Aelia is unfortunately the the first thing in front of it, so it, um, it kind of creaks its its armor and clank and clanks and then looks down at you with its eyes glowing, bright blue, as it raises, um, its, um, its, uh, like mace club sort of thing, basically, and goes to smack the child. Wow. I was immediately attacking the. There a 13. It. Let's see. It does unfortunately. Oh, no. So it mauls the child. Oh, my God. Wow. Hardcore. First damage of the game. Uh, and it does, oh, just three damage. So it goes to hit you, um, but it slightly misses and basically kind of like grazes the side of your arm with a bludgeon. So it kind of, it aches, and it's obviously bruised at this point. Al, what, bro, the [ __ ] it's a bludgeoning weapon, so it's not got spikes. Don't worry. Um, okay, and then it's Aika's turn. All right, I'm smacking that thing back. That was mean. All right, well, let's see. Action. I just use the, oh, no, no, short sword. Yeah, short sword. Use that. Click button. Uh, 13. All right, so you go to smack this thing. Oh, oh, you, you have, you have advantage on the strike because you're flanking with Shield. Oh, true. Yes. I forgot flanking rules. Yeah, flanking rules are, um, essentially chosen by the DM, but I absolutely do like those. So go good nuts. What, what does that mean? Basically, if there's somebody in front and behind, or like, basically if you can draw a line between you, the enemy, and, uh, another person in your team, you'll be flanking. So like, like he said, you, oh, Jesus. Okay, yeah, that definitely right. That one's way better. Wait, what did you roll? 22. What did you roll? 18. Okay. Oh, one away from a crit. Yeah. Oh, yeah, I would have cried tears of joy. Like, that's my son. No, I'm disappointed. You, well, um, I'm going to give you, I'm going to give you the floor for it because I, I want to, I want to hear what you would do. Really? Okay. I'm in my fighting pose, right? I take the sword, I jump up with the biggest height I can do, which is probably be about maybe like 2 inches off the floor, and then smack it with the sword right down the middle. Okay, so you go to do that, and, uh, you jump up and you swing it with, right through the center of it, and you know, you hit the side of the armor, and it kind of like kinks open, and you pass on through, and as you pass on through the center of it, blue energy follows your blade, and it lets out like a, yeah, that's what you get for giving me an owie. All right, so you did five damage to that. So I love that kid. Okay, uh, right, so you have a bonus action and a move action. Do you do anything else? Bonus action. Can I smack them again? Uh, you, I think you have an ability for that, actually. Uh, you have action surge, don't you? Uh, you could take an additional. Yeah, so if you use action surge, you can go for it again. Oh, yeah, and then it's still advantage, right? Because the thingy, yeah, okay. Boop, and then boop. Um, both of them were 19s, and the biggest one was eight damage. Yeah, take that one. I'll take that one, please. One order for eight damage. Yeah, well, yeah, you'll definitely take that, and, yep, 19 hits. So, uh, what do you do this time? This time I noticed that she's watching me and looking a little proud, so I'm like, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God, this is my moment. This is my time. And then I go back and I slice them again on the other side with just all of my force and willpower and trying to look really cool while doing it. Tell you what, since what we're going to do is, um, after that attack that you did, uh, you noticed that your, uh, the floor is obviously quite mossed up and slippy, so you actually.
Continue with that same attack, and you spin around and bring your blade into your other hand and just do and stab in the exact same place. Y-oh my God, this kid!
[Laughter]
And it lets out another whale. Did you see that, Shield kid? I couldn't be any more proud of you right now. Yeah, um, just to, just to sing, you have to go in like 15 or so minutes, isn't it? Uh, yeah, I would prefer to. Yeah, yeah, okay, that's fine. All right, um, well, tell, we'll do, we'll do a round of everyone's turn and then, uh, we'll, we'll call it there. All right, cliffhanger.
All right, well, it's the next guy's turn. Uh, he is just wrapped, wrapped around, still in tangled. There's absolutely nothing he can do. Um, he try, he'll, we'll, we'll do a strength check to see if he can get out of it. Nope, fails. Aha, he's still there. And Shield, it is your turn.
All right, not to be outdone by the child, going for a big old battle axe swing. Hit, since he's got that on him now. Yep, absolutely, go nuts. That's a 20 with, with a damage of, oh Jesus, okay, seven. Yeah, oh, that's a crit. So, yeah, oh, did it, oh, it did do, um, oh, it's two-handed damage. Oh, sh.
All right, well, uh, uh, C, just remind me how criticals work in D5 at 5D. Um, so criticals like on, you can either double the number that was rolled, or I think you can double the dice roll for it. That's exactly what it is. Okay. Uh, did it just do that already? Is that one of those two attacks, or is it just two separate attacks? Uh, yeah, one is like if you were, if he was going for a one-handed strike, he, oh, right, 1d8, but it's a 1d10. All right, well, just to be kind to you, we'll say you're going for a, uh, you're going for a one-handed, apparently. Yeah, well, um, but doesn't get an advantage. I mean, it doesn't matter, he rolled the best he could. So, oh, got you, got you. I was like, he rolled well. He rolled, was it a, is it a straight 20 pad, or was it a 15 plus? Uh, 15 plus 5. Oh, it was a 15, it wasn't in that. Yeah, cuz it does have the course idiot. All right, so it's not crit, beg your pardon. All right, well, we'll go, we'll go with the seven anyway.
Yeah, so, uh, as he's, um, as he's, uh, as, as the thing's been rolling in pain, it kind of bends as it's, oh, actually, here we go. It rolls it, uh, as it's rolled back in pain from Aika's attack, um, its head kind of, uh, clinks back and is kind of in view of Sh, of you now, Shield. Yeah. And, uh, as you, as, as it sees you and you look down, uh, you bring your axe, um, straight down onto its neck and in contact with your knee. Yeah. And it just goes through with a blue energy and lets out another scream. Uh, and you take, that takes seven damage there. She'll just grins and says, that's for hurting the kid. Nice. And then action search. Yes, another one. Oh my God, we're playing ping pong with this [ __ ] D. You have advantage. Oh, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right. Oh, that's better. 21. Let's go. That hit. Go and one-hand damage. 10. Yeah. And that's for the human who put me in here.
Okay, well, staring at with like sparkles in the eyes like, oh my gosh, it's so cool. As it, do you know what? I'm going to go full out cool with you for this one. Um, as you do that, as you, as, as you bring the, um, the axe down, you then kind of like push it to the side and you knock his, uh, armored head off. You push your hand into the belly of this beast and rip out anything that's inside, and the energy, it screams, and oh, and the energy just falls completely explodes out of it and just falls to the ground dead. No, I will not be betrayed by another human ever again. You're so amazing, kid. Get the other one. Yeah, right.
All right, well, uh, we're going to, we, we have to call the stream here, um, just to make sure that everyone can go get to do what they're, yeah. And I'm just going to me, rip and tear until it's done. Um, I, I will say we are still not at the end of everything I had planned for episode one. Wow. Yeah, I would go on longer, but I, I just got a buttload of candy I got to offload. So, perfectly fine. Yeah, candy. All right, just to double check, so the next session will be on the 14th of November. Is everyone okay with that? You think? Uh, yes. Yeah, yeah. Yep. All right, always a yes. All right, so the 14th of November will be when the next C, next session is. And I'm going to let you guys know right now that, and the chat as well, that they, it will be good. I, it will genuinely be good. You, you guys will get, we'll get some things, um, and it will be good. Um, yeah, trust me. I'm, I'm very excited. It's, it's, it's something I've not seen implemented into a campaign before. It might have, but I am, I am not aware of it. Oh, yeah, ex, exit.
Okay, well, with that, I would like to thank everyone here. Thank you, chat, so much for coming along, um, and enjoying this. It really warms my heart the fact you're still here to enjoy it. Thank you, Kaston, Amy, Essie, and Pat for join me, joining me as the characters and wonderful energies that you guys bring to this. It's a pleasure always. Uh, if you guys want to, uh, keep up to date with everything, you can join the Discord right there. Um, I, I keep, I update whenever there's like up to five days before we're going to do the, um, the campaign, then three days, and then the next day. So you guys can keep everything up to date. Um, I'm going to, yeah, put you guys, uh, put this, yeah, put this on the outro and then I'll, uh, find someone to raid. Let's find somebody else playing, uh, D&D, shall we? Spread the love. Yeah, K, if you, if you want to go, you, you can. That's fine. I'm going to peel out. Take care, everybody. He's not, he's not. Later, lizard boy. See you next time. Bye. All right, let's see. Uh, all right, we'll raid these guys. Fantastic. Okay, well, while you guys do that, I'll put the outro on and we will see you on the 14th. Bye, everybody. Bye.
