Sammy Sherrill - A WAY TO ESCAPE

The Bible said 1 Corinthians 10:13, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with every temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

Like to pull a few words out of this verse, but the Bible says, "He will with the temptation also make a way to escape." That's my subject today: a way to escape. Amen. Amen. Thank God for His Word. If you would allow us, let's go to God one more time in prayer and ask Him to help us for a few minutes here.

Jesus, thank You for what You're doing in this place today. Thank You for every man and every woman, every person that's here. I pray You would help us to speak Your words. Your words are Spirit. Your words of Life. Let there be connection in the Holy Ghost. God, have Your way. We bind everything that would try to oppose or resist or hinder Your will from being performed. Give us liberty, God, in this place. In Jesus' name, we pray. And everybody said, amen. You may be seated. Thank you for standing.

If you'll help me preach just a few minutes, say, "Praise God." Perhaps you know, perhaps you don't. It's not so important. But I do call my home in Alabama, north Alabama. That's where the civilized people are when it comes to Alabama, north Alabama. Um, but even there, you know, Alabama has a lot of rural places to it. Um, I live in a rural area to where if I wanted to build something, unlike here, if I wanted to build something, I'd just go out and build it, and the mayor would come by and just give me a thumbs up, say, "Good job, whatever you want to do." So we know it's not like it in an area such as Fort Lauderdale and South Florida. I mean, you got to, you got to get a permit, you know, to vacuum the carpet. People's got to give you, uh, permission to do anything. Um, but, you know, I'm, I'm not an expert builder. I've built a few houses in my day. Dog houses, that is. Hah. I'm no expert in the field by any stretch.

With that being said, I've talked to enough people that that live in in places, big cities such as this area, that before you do anything, you don't just do it. You have to get permission. People have to sign off. You have to submit your plans to the powers that be and to, uh, the engineers and the councilmen and the people that make such decisions. And then they have to approve your plans. And as we know, rarely do they just approve them the first time around. But you're going to submit your plans to them, and they're going to look them over and adjust, revise, um, and then give them back to you and say, "Now, here's what we did to your plan. We didn't like what you were doing over here, uh, on this side of the building, so we want you to change this up over here. And we didn't like this area over here. You, you need to put a door over here and move this wall," and so on. You know what I'm talking about?

Um, they don't wait. They don't say, "Well, just, hey man, just take it, build whatever you want to build, and if a fire breaks out, call us, and we'll come and build you a fire escape, you know, on the side of the wall." That's not the way it works. But before, before those plans is ever began, built into those plans is a way out. It doesn't come after trouble happens. Built into those plans is, before trouble ever comes, before a fire ever starts, before catastrophe ever arises, built in, "Put a door over here, put stairs over here. We're not going to put people in any place that they can't get out of a troublesome situation."

And I use that example today, and I pivot back to the verse that I read to you where the Bible said, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation, temptation means adversity, trial, or trouble, will with the temptation also make a way to escape." The way to escape doesn't come so sometime after the temptation or trouble, adversity, but built in to that is a way to escape. Amen. Amen. With that adversity, with that trouble, with that temptation comes a way to escape. And God is faithful in those means. Amen. He's not going to let anything come to us without knowing first, whatever comes, there is already a way provided that you can get out of whatever trouble you find yourself in. How many's glad to know that?

I may get sick, but with my sickness, healing already here with me. God doesn't wait till I start, till I get in trouble to start trying to figure a way out of my, my dilemma and out to my trouble and out to my situation. But before I ever got in trouble, with that trouble came a way of escape. If you read your Bible, you'll find out this is heavy precedent that is set for this example. Noah was building the ark before the first raindrop ever fell from the sky. Amen. Before the three Hebrew boys was ever thrown into the fiery furnace, the fourth man was already there waiting to show them the way out. Amen. Before the 5,000 ever got hungry in the wilderness, uh, the lad was already there with the lunch in hand. Hallelujah. Before Daniel was ever thrown into the den of lions, the angel was already there waiting on him, closing the mouth of the lions. Before Jonah was ever thrown over the bow of that ship, uh, there was already prepared a way of escape. Job said, "Though God slay me, yet will I trust Him." Behold, I go forward. He's not there backward, but I can't perceive Him on the left hand where He doth work. I can't behold Him. He hideth Himself on the right hand from me. But He knoweth the way that I take, and when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold." Job is saying, "It's tough, but I know there's a way out. I know there's a way out. I know there's a way of escape." Somebody help me preach on this Sunday morning. The devil ain't got a lock that God ain't got a key for. The devil ain't got a prison that the Lord can't open. There is always, uh, a way of escape.

Would you clap your hands to the Lord together? [Applause] Today, pardon me, I'm going to get unorthodox here. This is just off the cuff. I'm not tired. I'm just going to borrow it just a second. About said this, Psalms 29:10, "The Bible said the Lord sitteth upon the floods." Then it says this, "Yea, the Lord sitteth king forever." Anybody know how long forever is? You don't know how long forever is. Nobody knows how long forever is. But however long it is, that's how long He's sitting king. A time frame that has no beginning and has no ending. Forever. He's sitting king, sitting king, sitting king forever. According to this verse, it ain't never been bad enough trouble that made Him jump off His throne and say, "I don't know what I'm going to do about that." Of all the catastrophes, of all the trouble, of all the chaos that's ever been in this world, He's always sat on His throne. Sitting means calm. Sitting means cool. Sitting means collected. It's been rough down here, but it ain't never worried Him. He's just been sitting king. Does that make any sense, or is that just my weird mind at work right there? "The Lord sitteth king forever." Now, forever, I mean, I can't even hardly a week don't even hardly go by in my life where I don't jump up out of my chair, get out of bed in the middle of the night, say, "God, what's going on? What do I need to do about this? I don't, I don't know the answer to this." You never heard of a president or a ruler in this world that just sitting king. I mean, they're always up, "Let me go over here, let me have this meeting, let me do this, let me try to figure this out." When it comes to the Lord, as bad as it gets down here, if you could see Him, calm, cool, collected, because He knows. I'm not looking for an answer before the trouble ever came. I built in an answer with the trouble before it ever came. I built in an escape route in that trouble before it ever came. Uh, so that's why I can sit Him on my throne, uh, calm, cool, and collected, uh, because I've already made a way of escape. Uh, I've already provided the answer. Does that make sense at all?

Isaiah said it like this. Isaiah said, "In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting upon the throne, high and lifted up; and His train filled the temple." If you go back a couple of books, you'll find out another book elaborates on when King Uzziah died. It was a bad time. It was a king that the people revered. They esteemed him. He was a great man. Had a lapse of judgment when it came to some priests and some holy things, and, and he made some wrong decisions. He got leprosy. He was kind of removed from the throne, and it sent the nation into turmoil and grief and trouble and just a lot going on. And, but Isaiah said, "At that same time frame, when it was chaos down here, he said, 'I got a glimpse into heaven, and heaven did not mirror what was going on down here on this earth.'" He said, "When I saw Him, he said, 'I saw Him sitting upon the throne, high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple.'" We were down here saying, "What's going on? What's happening? The kingdom's falling apart. We don't know what to do now." But I looked up in the heavens, and I saw the Lord, and He was just sitting there. He was just sitting there on His throne. And I tell you, that's what He's doing in your life. He's just sitting on the throne because He's already made a way of escape to what you're dealing with. He ain't trying to figure out your problem. He's already answered your problem. He's already made a way of escape. Hallelujah.

Isaiah said, "It shall come to pass," this is the Lord speaking through Isaiah, "it shall come to pass that before they call, I the Lord will answer." That's awesome. He said, "Before you call, I'll answer." I mean, you ain't even called yet, He's already answered. That ain't the way we operate. We say, "Who can I call? I'm going to call Pastor Hadal and tell him what I'm going through, see if he's got an answer." Pastor got this problem, what you want me to do? And he's kind, and he'll guide you and help navigate, but you call, and he answers when he's able. But the Lord, the Lord don't even work like that. The Lord said, "Before you [Applause] call."

I feel the Holy Ghost here today. If I just put the mic down, just start shouting, don't mind me none. I'm just, He said, "Before you call, you ain't even called me yet." He said, "But I've already given the answer for you." I'm not waiting on your call. I'm here. The answer is waiting on you. Amen. It's already been given to you. Sometimes we think we're waiting on God. We ain't waiting on God. God's already answered. His answer is waiting on your call. Amen. He's already got it figured out. He's already got a way of escape. It's there for you. It's there for you. There is a way of escape. Hallelujah.

How many believe it with me today that there is a way of escape? Before you ever got sick, uh, there was healing. Uh, before you ever bound, uh, there was deliverance. Uh, before you were ever thirsty, there was water. Before you were ever hungry, He was the Bread of Life. Before you ever sinned, He was an Advocate. Before you ever had a problem, He was the solution. Before you ever had a question, He was the answer. There is a way of escape. You can escape out of your sickness. You can escape out of your bondage. You can escape out of your trouble. You can escape out of your dilemma. What are you doing? Pardon me, I'm about to escape. I'm about to break out of here. I'm about to get out of this trouble. I'm about to get out of this dilemma. Somebody clap your hands with the Lord and say, "Amen." You need to look at somebody and say, "Pardon me, I'm fixing to break out of here. I'm fixing to escape. I've been sick too long. I'm about to escape. I've been in trouble too long. I'm about to escape." There is a way of escape. Somebody say, "Amen."

The Apostle Paul was on a ship in a bad storm. Sea, you rockin', the ship tore apart. They jumped out, swam to shore in the middle of that major storm. The Bible said they were between two seas. It's bad enough to be in one stormy sea, but they had two stormy seas going on at one time. Sometimes life got rough, but they got off the ship, they swam through the sea, and they made it to shore. When they got there, Paul was gathering some sticks to build a fire. And as he's gathering these sticks, the Bible said a viper came out and struck him and latched onto his hand. And the men there on that island, they looked at that and they said, they said, "He escaped the sea, but he ain't going to escape the poison." He might have, he might have escaped that ship, and he might escape that sea, but he ain't getting away from this. He ain't going to escape this. You see, the sea was trouble he was in, but the poison represented trouble that was getting in him. And sometimes that's the difference: the trouble that you're in and trouble that's in you. Sometimes it's not just, "I'm in trouble." Sometimes there's troubles going on in me. Amen. And now you got this, you got this poison that's kind of, that they said, "Now he, he might escape the sea, but he ain't going to escape this because this is not some trouble he's in. This is something on the inside now. This is bigger than just a sea. This is something he is not going to escape." And the devil uses that same terminology to us sometimes. And he'll say, "Well, yeah, that thing a while back, you escaped that, and you barely got out of that, and you escaped 2020, and you escaped COVID, and you escaped that sickness, and you escaped that issue, but you can't escape this." But I got news for the devil: there is always a way of [Applause] escape. There's a window right here, right now. Somebody ought to leap up to your feet and say, "I'm getting out of this. I'm getting out of this. I'm getting out of this." There is a way of this. Somebody clap your hands to the Lord. Somebody needs to tell the devil, "I'm not staying here. I'm breaking out of this. I'm getting out of this. There is a way of escape." Why you clapping your hands? I'm getting out of this. Why you getting in the aisle? I'm escaping this. I got to get out. There is a way of escape. Somebody shout [Applause] [Applause] yes.

I don't care what the devil has told you is permanent. When God steps in, God said it ain't permanent. It's temporary, and you're about to get out. You're about to [Applause] escape. You may be seated. I'm going to tell you one way you can escape. The Bible said when we were born, when the writer said, "When we're born in this world, we were born in sin and we were shaping into [Music] iniquity." We were born in prison, if I could say it like that. How long you been in? I was born in until I found a way of escape. You ever read a book or something about somebody in prison? Somebody brings them something to eat, and they eat the soup, and they hear something rattle at the bottom of the soup bowl. And like, "I got a friend on the outside." And in that soup bowl is a key. And when the guards turn around, he slips that key. He says, "I'm getting out of here." Can I tell you, if you hadn't been born again, and you're still in prison, you got a friend on the outside, and He's built inside that prison. I don't care how thick the bars look, there is a way of [Applause] escape.

So we were born in sin and we were shaping into iniquity. The Bible said, "But the Lord provided for all of us a way out and a way of escape." The Bible said something like this, "Come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord." Can I tell you that the God we serve is not a cruel God? He's not mean, but He's kind and loving and generous. What kind of God would that be to say, "Come out," and there not be a way out? That'd be cruel. To say, "Come out," and we're like, "Well, I want to, but I can't get free." And He said, "Well, come on." And you're saying, "Well, I'd like to, but I can't get loose." That would be a cruel God to say, "Come out," without providing a way out. But the very fact that He invites us to come out screams at us, "There's a way out." Amen. There's a way out. Hallelujah. So we were born, we were born in sin. Am I making sense so far? I hope that am. We were born in sin and we were shaping into iniquity. Sometimes the enemy uses the leverage against us. "Well, the church, you know, Jesus is cool, I guess, and church, they're all right, but man, what about all them laws and rules and regulations and all that? You can't do that. You got to, you got to be your own person. You got to be free." Well, that's, that's a lie from the devil. Because I don't care what kingdom you're in, every kingdom has law to it, right? I don't care how much you love that kingdom, that kingdom has law. I don't know of any nation in this world that says, "You come here, we don't care what you do. You, you can drive however you want to drive. You live how you want to live. Build however you want. We, we don't care." Every nation has law. They differ, but they all have some sort of law. And when we're born in this world, we were born under the law of sin and death. And to say that you're just doing your own thing, that's a lie from the devil. Because you're living under the law of sin. Paul talks about this in Romans chapter 8. Pastor was in Poland this past week. If you left tonight and you flew to Europe and rented a vehicle, and you got in that rented car, and you started riding down the road, and you thought, "You know what? I don't care what I am. I'm an American, and I'm from Florida, and I'm going to do it the way we do it in Florida." And you drive down the right side of the road in Europe. Brother, it ain't going to be long. The law is going to catch up to you, and it's going to say, "What in the world do you think you're doing?" "Well, you mean what I'm doing? I'm old man, I do what I wanted to." No, you don't. You may think you do for a while, but the law will eventually catch up to you. So you're not going to, when you step across the boundary from the United States of America and you step into another kingdom or nation or domain, when you step across that boundary, laws. And now that you're in this nation or kingdom, you are subject to those laws. Does that make sense?

This is how deliverance happens. This is how a way out happens. Is when you was born, the first time, you was born into the kingdom of this world, under the law of sin and death. But the Lord says, "But I'm going to make a way out where you can be born again." And when you're born the second time, you're born into another kingdom. You're born into another domain. You're born into another holy nation. And the laws that applied in this kingdom, when you get in this kingdom, it's a totally different law. It's a totally different kingdom. So in this kingdom, if you were bound by alcohol, bound by drugs, when you get in this kingdom, uh, this kingdom says you're free. You're liberated. You're whole. That's why the devil don't want you to be born again. That's why the devil don't want you to be baptized. Don't want you to have the Holy Ghost, because you're born into a new law. Jesus. Somebody shout, "Praise [Applause] God." You may be, you may be seated.

Paul said in Romans 8:2, "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." He said, "I found out there was law either way. It ain't just law in the church. There's law in the world, and there's law in the church. But I figured out the law of God and the law of the church is a whole lot better than the law of this world." This world says you're bound by sin, you're bound by iniquity. But when I'm born again, I repent of my sins, I'm baptized in Jesus' name, and I receive the Holy Ghost, I'm born in a new kingdom. What used to bind me there doesn't bind me here. I'm a new citizen. I'm in the kingdom of [Applause] God. And in this kingdom, uh, there's a law of liberty. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. That's why I can clap my hands. That's why I can lift my voice. That's why I can leap for joy. It's a different law. Somebody clap your hand to the Lord today. There's a way of escape. Musicians, come today and help us, if you will. There's a way of escape.

Perhaps I remember when I was young, preacher still young, I guess, but when I was younger, just starting preaching, I preached in the nursing homes and jails. And I figured out if you can preach a nursing home and jail, you can preach anywhere. No disrespect, but if you preach a nursing home, precious people, but you, you never know what's going to happen next. And you may think you're doing real good, and somebody says, "When's dinner?" And then, when you preach in the jail, I remember I was young, 19, 20 years old, preaching in the jail. Show up there, and I went by myself a lot. Take me up to the third floor of the county jail, Lawrence County, Alabama. Got up there, warden walked me into the room. He said, "Now, we got a camera. He said, but I'm going back downstairs. He said, if you need us, call us, and we'll do our best to help you." Like you are so comforting to me. I appreciate your comfort. And so I'm there, kind of looking around. And now I'm having the same thoughts that probably them people are having that's already there. How would I get out of here? And I'm looking around, and I ain't even there. I'm there temporarily, but I'm still trying to find a way out. I'm like, "I wonder if I could fit through those bars right there." Said, "Open your Bibles. Acts chapter 2." Looking around at the work. Could I escape to around here if it came down to it? And I know that if, if, if I'm thinking that, and I've been there five minutes, I know these guys that are there for days and weeks, they're like, "I wonder when that foreman takes his nap." I wonder, not that they ever really going to act on that, but I know the thought has to go through their mind, "Wonder if I could escape out of here." If I really, if I really want to do, I wonder if I can escape.

If you're here today and you got something you need to escape from, first order of business is, you've got to want to escape. You got to have something in you that says, "I ain't staying here. I am not going to get comfortable living in this position. I'm going to get out of here." If I got to climb over the first three benches of this church, I'm getting out of here. I'm not going to stay here. I am going to escape. The first order of business, if there's a place that you're in that you don't want to be in, there's got to be a desire in you that says, "I'm going to escape. I'm going to escape." Hallelujah. I'm going to escape. I've been sick too long. I'm fixing to escape this sickness. I've had this disease too long, and there's healing available. I'm about to escape this. There's addiction on my life, and I can't shake it. It's tied me up. Uh, but I got a friend on the outside, and He's made a way on the inside, and I'm going to, I'm going to escape this. Somebody clap your hands and shout [Applause] yes.

If Jesus could go in a tomb, and they put a stone in front of that tomb, and put soldiers on the outside of that tomb saying, "Guard it with your life." Jesus came into this world, and He passed a sign that said, "No Entrance." And He left this world, and He passed a sign that said, "No Exit." He can get in when He wants to, and He can get out when He wants to. It's no issue to God. And He can get you out if you want to get out. He can get you out. So in that tomb, on the third day, the Bible lets us know somewhere in between there, the Bible said, "He that ascended first descended into the lower parts of the earth." And the Bible said this, and I love these words, the Bible said, "And He led captivity captive." Amen. In other words, captivity no longer is employment of its own. It did no longer, it no longer runs an independent business. But when Jesus came out of the grave, uh, He led captivity captive. In other words, He took prisons and He put the prisons in prisoned. And He took chains and He chained up the chains. And He took sicknesses and He bound the sicknesses, letting us know, brother, sister, there is a way. There is a way of [Music] escape. Hallelujah.

If you stand with me here [Music] today. Bible said that He was a lamb [Music] slain from the foundation of the world. A lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. Jesus was the sacrificial lamb. He was the [Music] way. Brother, before He ever made a world, He made a way first. He didn't wait till this world started getting out of control to try to figure out a way for people to get out of the crazy world. He said, "Before I make a world, I'm going to first make a way." And in His mind, He was the lamb slain from the foundation of the world. And wherever you find yourself in today, I'm promising you this here, I promise you, there is a way of escape. I don't care. I don't care how thick you think the bars are. I don't care. I don't care how, how sealed up the walls that seem to be. There's a God that made a way for you to get out, for you to be free, and for you to be whole. Oh, thank You, Jesus.

I shared in the first service a few years ago, my wife was sick. We went to the first doctor, he sent it to another doctor, and that doctor sent it to another doctor. Chain of events, and we went to this specialist and that specialist. Finally, we got to the last one that was supposed to be the specialist specialist. We could find no solutions and no answers and no remedies. And this doctor looked at my wife and, I quote him, and this isn't great bedside manner for a doctor, but this is what he told my wife. He said, "Ma'am, we've done all we can do. He said, you're stuck." Those were his words. He said, "You're stuck." It's not too comforting to hear that from somebody that's supposed to have answers. Said, "We've done all we can do. You're stuck." But I knew, you may not have the [Music] key. You may not know the way out. But my Bible said, "My God's faithful." [Applause] The doctor may not know the way out, and I know doctors are good, and they have good intentions, they help us when they can. But the doctor don't always know the way out. The psychiatrist don't always know the way out. The medicine cabinet can't always get you out. But I know my God is faithful. The Bible said He's faithful, that with the temptation will come a way of escape. I looked at my wife and I said, "Baby, he might not can get you out, but I know a Man that can. I got a God that has made a way of escape." Somebody shout [Applause] [Music] yes.

I crawled in my little office in my home, I cut the lights out, and I went to prayer. And I'd prayed before, but I got down to business with God. And I said, "Lord, the doctor can't do it. The medicine can't do it. We're at a dead end, and we don't know anything else to do. You're our only hope. You've got to help us. Uh, you've got to show us the way." There in that prayer meeting, uh, the Lord quickened some scriptures in my mind, and I wrote them down, and I took them into the room where my wife was sleeping, and I folded them up, and I slid them under the mattress where she was sleeping, and I walked away. From that very night, it began to turn around, and today she's healed, and she's well, and she's whole. What are you saying, brother Cheryl? I'm saying, I don't care what you're dealing with, there's a way out. There's a way out. There's a way out. There's a way out. Anybody believe this preacher? There's a way out of your depression. There's a way out of your sickness. There's a way out of your sin. There's a way out of your confusion. There's a way of escape. Let's lift our hands up to the Lord across this Tabernacle today. I love You, Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. God, I magnify Your name. Glorify the mighty name of [Music] Jesus.

Come on, we're going to move forward here in just a moment. Let's hit the pause button right here. Can we just open our mouth and open our spirits to Jesus? God, I thank You for what we feel right now. Thank You for the witness of the Holy Ghost. Oh God, thank You for the witness of the Spirit of the Lord in this house. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Here's what I want to do. First, we may have a few waves of this altar service here. But if you're here today and you say, "Brother Cheryl, I need a miracle," and this miracle is such that I've already exhausted all of my means. If the Lord don't give me a miracle, it's not going to get done because I've already exhausted every other means of life. Jesus has got to do it. Can I tell you, when only a miracle will do, Jesus has a miracle for you. Hallelujah. I said He's got a miracle for you. If you're here and you say, "Brother Cheryl, I need a miracle. I've already exhausted all of my means. Jesus is my only hope." And He is a hope. Amen. But if that's you, I need a miracle. That I'm, this is where I'm at. I've got to have a miracle. There's no plan B. There's no other avenue at this point. I've got to have a miracle. If that's you tonight, or if that's you today, I want you to slip out of your seat and I want you to come and join me in the front right here, real swiftly, right now. If you say, "I need a miracle, and the Lord's the only one that can answer this for me. Jesus is the only one that can do this for me." I want you to come and join me right here, right here, right here. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I need a miracle, and Jesus is the only one that can do it. He's the only one that can do it. He's the only one that can do it. I could tell you stories of miracles I've seen, but you've heard stories. I know Jesus is a miracle worker. There is a way of escape. There is a way of escape. [Music] What a great response. What a great response.

If you're here today and you say, "Brother Cheryl, I want that liberty of the Spirit in my life. I want the Holy Ghost. I want it active in my life. I want it active in my soul. I need God to work in me and through me and with me. I need Jesus to do something in me." I want you to turn and look at somebody, if it's appropriate, and if you know them, and if you don't, just be kind to them, but turn to them and say, "God's got a miracle for you." Tell somebody, "The Spirit of God is for you today. The Spirit of Jesus is for you. The Holy Ghost is for you. The Holy Ghost is for you." If you're here and you would like to have the Holy Ghost, a renewing of the Holy Ghost, to be filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost, I'm inviting you to slip out of your seat and come and join us at this front today. Hallelujah. Maybe you'd like to look at somebody and say, "Come on, I'm going to go with you. We're going to go pray together. God's got something for you. God's got something for you." If you haven't come to this altar yet, and you got anything you want God to help you escape from, whether it's something that you can't shake, something you need direction on, you need to escape from something. This is your window of opportunity here this afternoon to slip out of your seat and come and join us at this altar because God has made a way of escape. The answer's been given. God's going to do some awesome stuff in this altar here today. God's going to do some stuff in this service today. We're going to lift our hands. [Music] We don't have to overcomplicate this because God didn't make it hard. God made it easy. We feel the joy of the Lord, but what we get or receive is not based on what we feel. It's based on our faith. Amen. So don't go by how you feel to determine if you got something or not. If you got faith, God's going to hear you, and God's going to respond to you. So when we lift our hands to God, I'm going to pray a simple prayer, and I'm going to say, "Say in Jesus' name." And when I say, "In the name of Jesus," I want you to keep your hands in the air. I want you to tilt your head back. I want you to close your eyes and begin to open your mouth and just begin to call upon the name of the Lord. If you're here and you've never been filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost, whether you're in your seat or whether you're at this altar, as you begin to call upon Jesus and say, "Jesus, Hallelujah, I love You, Jesus." Praise God. The Bible said, "Out of your innermost being shall flow rivers of living water." Somebody say, "Amen." When you hear the river begin to flow, you can hear a river, but you can't understand it, but it's flowing anyway. So when that river starts to flow, just give the, give the river a voice. Don't worry about what it sounds like. Just give it a voice, and let the river of God flow. God's going to do miracles. God's going to work. God's going to move in this house. Come on now, across this altar, lift your hands up right now. If you're an altar worker in this church, I'm calling on you to help us. We need your help in this altar now to help us pray with people. Come on. I want you to lift your hands now. I'm going to pray a simple prayer. When I say, "In Jesus' name," I want you to lift your voice and let the river flow. And where that river goes, it's going to heal. It's going to do a miracle. It's going to bring life. Devil, oh, you're a liar, and you're the father of every lie. I rebuke every spirit of sickness. I rebuke every spirit of affliction. I rebuke and I cast down every spirit of depression, every spirit of anxiety, every spirit of confusion. I reach up and I cast it down in the name of Jesus.
