Namaskar. Astrology. It's the, you know, exploring the planets, exploring the, I mean, he's one of the top most richest men. Let's try and understand from. We are going to talk about Rahu, its placements, import, because very warm welcome on the show. Over to you. Namaskar, namaskar. Nice to be on your show again. Is the planet which gives you like money, power, secrecy, like bumper, bumper.
>> See, basically, all the planets are personifications of different aspects of our personality. Within our consciousness, there are various aspects, and each planet, each graha, represents a particular aspect. Sun is like our willpower, our soul, our atma. Whereas moon is the mind that which perceives the rest of the world and that which reacts to the rest of the world. So this is basically the mind or manas. And Mars is the fire inside us to get things done, the energy. So that is that is Mangal or Mars. And Buddha, Mercury, is our ability to comprehend the world around us, process information, understand the world around us, and think logically, figure things out. That is represented by Mercury. And Jupiter is the intellect inside us. The dhi, the the discretion, the judgment of knowing what is what, what is right, what is wrong. So that judgment within us, that intellect within us, is is Jupiter. And Venus is the spirit of just enjoying things, enjoying whether material or spiritual, just the spirit of enjoying things is Venus. It can be enjoying spiritual sadhana also, not just material things. So he's the spirit of enjoyment and being happy. And Saturn is the spirit of slogging, spirit of hang, hanging out, hanging in, and basically just putting in effort. So he's the spirit of discipline, effort, hard work, austerity. And all those spirits within us are personified by Saturn.
The interesting thing is, these are all actual physical. They they correspond to physical planets that you can see in the sky. But Rahu and Ketu are not really. They are called Chayagrahas. They are not real objects in the in the sky, celestial objects in the in the way Sun to Saturn are. Rahu and Ketu are basically, simply speaking, mathematically based on our shastras. Earth is going around Sun in an elliptical orbit, and around Earth there is another elliptical orbit in which moon, almost circular orbit, but moon is going around Earth in that orbit. And these two orbits are not in the same plane; they are slightly tilted. So moon's orbit around Earth, that basically intersects with the plane containing Earth's orbit around Sun. Those two points are Rahu and Ketu. That's it, basically. That's the definition. So these are basically intersection points of the two orbits. And the interesting thing is, Sun shows, uh, Sun, Moon, and Lagna. Earth basically represents Lagna or rising sign or ascendant. They aspect the the actor inside us, the experiencer inside, and just just the existence. So, as we say in Sanskrit, just being, experiencing, and doing. These are represented by these three grahas. And and some people even call them the tripod of life: Sun, Moon, and Lagna. And Parashara specifically says you have to analyze the chart not only from Lagna but also from Sun and Moon. So Sun shows your astitva, your your sense of existing, your sense of being, is represented by Sun. And Moon represents your sense of experiencing, whatever the world is doing to you, how you feel about it, how you receive it. That is represented by Moon. And Lagna, finally, rising sign or ascendant, it represents the doer inside you. The uh, it is the medium through which you you act.
So the thing is, the the the two orbits that I mentioned, Earth around Sun and Moon around uh Earth, so that is basically the intersection between your existence and your doing, and then your doing and your experiencing. So basically, these are these are like the blind spots. When you are driving, there are certain things that you don't see. So Rahu and Ketu are basically like these blind spots existing between your experiencing and your doing and your existing. So they are very interesting planets. Also, if you look at the geography of planets, what they what the grahas are supposed to be. I mentioned earlier that Buddha is the learner inside you. Guru is the uh judge inside you, the intellect inside you. Rahu is simply the sense of not caring about any rules, >> breaking barriers, >> amplification of whatever it gets. >> He, amplification is one thing, but Rahu personifies deep desire. What, wherever Rahu is sitting, that's where your desire is. He's the personification of deep desire, of wanting something. As a matter of fact, Shastra say that Rahu is the cause of rebirth. When somebody passes away, we cast what is known as punarjanma chakra, which basically shows what happens afterwards. In that chart, Rahu is the key to seeing what the next life is going to be, what is the next existence is going to be. So, Rahu is the planet of rebirth. He is the one who gets us stuck in a web of desires. I want this, I want that. So, Rahu is the spirit of fulfilling your desires no matter what. Not caring about rules, not caring about barriers. So breaking barriers, breaking rules, and going to any extent to get what you want. That is Rahu. And Ketu is the personification of not really caring about anything. Total detachment. Whether if you are married, fine. If you're not married, fine. If you have a job, fine. If you have a successful job, fine. If you don't have a job, fine. Basically, you don't care about X versus Y. So instead of running towards something, you basically are still and you don't really care about anything. That that spirit of not caring about things, of being detached, is personified by Ketu. But caring about things and running towards things is personified by Rahu. So Rahu is a very interesting and important planet in the in the in Vedic astrology. And the thing is, people are scared of Rahu. People are scared because he's an asura. All the other planets are devatas. But Rahu is a rakshasa. A rakshasa who saw that when Vishnu took the form of Mohini and was distributing amrit, the nectar of immortality, to various uh various gods. Basically, he made, after the after churning the milky ocean, they made all the gods and asuras, devas and asuras, sit in different rows. And Vishnu in the form of Mohini was serving them that ambrosia of immortality. And he discovered that Vishnu is playing a trick. He's just serving it to all the gods and to all the asuras. He's just dancing but not really serving it. So he changes his form. He he takes the disguise face of a deva. He sits in the row of devatas, and then he basically consumes the nectar. And then, as you know the story goes, that Sun and Moon notice it. They alert Vishnu, and then he cuts his his uh neck with the with the Sudarshan Chakra. And then the head and the headless body, they become Rahu and Ketu. So because both the parts have touched Amrit, they never die. Whereas all the asuras, they're powerful but they eventually die, but Rahu and Ketu they will never die. So what it means is, the spirit of detachment inside us, it may be weak, but it will never die. It'll always be there, and at some point of time it's it gets triggered and we get moksha. Similarly, Rahu, the spirit of getting things at any cost, that never dies because sash >> materialistic >> materialistic. Rahu is materialistic. Ketu is spiritual >> well that is that is the standard convention, but Rahu is really deep desire, and the deep desire can also be for spirituality. Rahu is deep desire for something. Ketu is not really caring about anything. So that's that's really, that's the fundamental first principle definition of Rahu and Ketu.
So the deep desire for something or the other will be there as long as you are there. So it is, he's a he's he's not really a asura, but because he was a rakshasa by birth and he played a trick to become a devata and one of the grahas. So people are really scared. But honestly, as you mentioned in your introduction, there are many people who are highly successful mainly on account of Rahu. So we should not be successful on which house is Rahu. Which house? >> There are three houses that are considered to be most auspicious for Rahu. Three, six, and eleven. Modi ji has Rahu in the sixth house. Uh, see, sixth house is the house of enemies, and more than enemies, it's the house of vanquishing enemies. It's the house of defeating enemies. So is basically the house of taking on the obstacles that are in front of you and then ruining them, basically destroying those obstacles. That is what sixth house stands for. And depending on which planet is in the sixth house, a corresponding energy will come there. And if Rahu is in the sixth house, Rahu shows inventive attitude. He shows basically breaking barriers. He shows deep creativity. See, Moon and Venus, the water planets, are creative. But the creativity shown by Rahu is one where you're absolutely original. You don't really care about rules and uh conventions, etc. You just get things done at any cost. That is the spirit represented by Rahu. So when Rahu is in the sixth house, that spirit will come. So when Rahu is in the sixth house, those people are usually invincible, unless there are some weaknesses for Rahu. Those people are very fearless and they're very very bold, and they they make sure that their enemies are destroyed somehow or the other. And now go ahead. >> Yeah. So which house does Modi have Rahu? Which house has, >> as I mentioned, he has Rahu in the sixth house. >> I will mention a few more examples. Let's let's look at a few examples that have Rahu in the sixth house. Narendra Modi ji has Rahu in the sixth house. Indira Gandhi had Rahu in the sixth house too. And Devendra Fadnavis ji, among current political leaders, he also has Rahu in the sixth house, particularly in one house. He has Kanya lagna with Rahu in Kumbha rasi in one house. So he has Rahu, Rahu, too. And Bill Gates has Rahu in sixth house. And some of the some of today's people may not be familiar, but there was a great man in Bengal called Ashutosh Mukherjee. He's the father of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of Jan Sangh. And he was he was such a great scholar. He was the vice chancellor of Kolkata University. He was a lawyer. He was a judge. He was a jurist. He was the founding member of some Indian sciences related committee or something. He was such a celebrated man that, normally people don't care about scholars, but when he died, unfortunately, at a very young age of 59, huge crowd showed up in Kolkata. He was so famous. And he was famously known as Bangla Bagh or something, basically the Bengal Tiger, because British respected him, Indians respected him, he never feared anybody, and he was extremely courageous. Now, the thing is, if you compare these different charts, Gates has Rahu in the sixth house in Scorpio. Scorpio is basically an evil sign, and it is the sign of hidden things, uh shady things, etc. So in the Vrishchika rashi, Scorpio, he has Rahu in the sixth house. So he he basically he fights hard to vanquish his enemies, but there is something shady about his fight because Rahu is in Mrigashira nakshatra. On the other hand, if you look at uh uh Narendra Modi, his Rahu is in the sixth house in Meena rashi. It is an evil sign, but Meena is a very sattvic sign, very dharmic sign. It is ash, is a sign of ashram. So to establish Sanatana Dharma, he fights very hard. That is his nature. Whereas if you look at Ashutosh Mukherjee, the great educationist, his Rahu is in Libra. It is basically the sign of balance. So he's seen as a tiger, he's seen as a great fighter, but at the same time there's something balanced about it because Tula is the sign of balance. So he's not really seen as a great fighter, cruel, etc. See, depending on the nature of the sign, the kind of fight you put on will be decided. But the bottom line is, if you have Rahu in the sixth house, you will basically be a fighter. And one more thing, if you have Rahu in the sixth house, it means you have enemies. Things are not smooth for you because you have to fight, because the house of fight. Sixth house is house of fight. But the thing is, you are successful in fighting. Your enemies are are basically smashed to smithereens. They will, I mean not literally, but metaphorically. So your enemies, they are just ruined. So that is the blessing of Narendra Modi ji. That was the blessing of Indira Gandhi ji. When she came on the scene after her father's death, Congress had multiple power brokers and multiple leaders and there were so many factions. She just destroyed everybody and she became invincible and created this image of being Iron Lady. And that is because she has Rahu in the sixth house. But the one difference is, her Rahu in the sixth house is in Sagittarius, which is a fiery sign. So she's seen as a fiery fighter, and he's also with Venus. Narendra Modi's Rahu is alone, but her Rahu is with Venus. So Venus is the planet of passion. So basically, she's seen as a fiery and passionate uh leader. So that was the that was the image that was projected about her. But the thing is, bottom line is, all these people are very uh >> and they had Rahu Mahadasha during the major, with major time >> either either Dasha, either Dasha, or sometimes an important transit of Rahu can trigger, and it may not be Dasha, it can be Charadasha. But in one of the Dashas when Rahu is playing a big role in the life, or in transits Rahu is playing a big role in life, then basically that comes to the fore. And one last thing, Fadnavis ji, as I said, has Rahu in the sixth house in one house. But the thing is, his Rahu is with Moon and he's aspected by Venus. So two watery planets, particularly ninth and eleventh lord, so bhagya and labha. So his fighting hard will be for bhagya and labha. And also, because the two planets involved are Moon and Venus, he'll be seen as a particularly, Rahu is with Moon, so he he'll be seen as a compassionate fighter, somebody who fights hard and destroys his enemies, but there is some compassion or empathy in the way he fights. So they it's not necessarily seen as a cruel thing. So different people have different ways in which this plays out. It depends on which planets are with Rahu, who are aspecting Rahu, which sign Rahu is in, etc.
>> Now what about money? Which planet, which position of Rahu gets you like lot of money. >> See, >> Amani is, for example, one. Yeah, >> money can come from any house really. The thing is, if Rahu if Rahu is strong in the horoscope, then basically, and he has some link with the second house or second lord, that is basically enough to give you money. If you let us take the chart of Dhirubhai Amani, he has Rahu in the third house. Rahu in the third house and, uh, see, third house what does it stand for? It stands for initiative. Third is the vikramasthana, parakrama. So >> trying to get Rahu, huh? Third house, yeah. >> Rahu in the third house. Third is the house of taking initiative. It is the house of initiative, parakrama, vikrama, etc. So if Rahu is in the third house, such people basically the unconventional force of Rahu, the creative original approach of Rahu will come to taking initiative. So they can take initiatives, and that's good for business. People think that second house is the house of wealth. Absolutely, second house is the house of wealth. But the thing is, when it comes to business, etc., kama trikonas are important. Three, seven, and eleven. Business is seen from the seventh house and the strengths third and eleventh. Seventh is fulfilling your desires, and third is having initiative. So those are the key houses for business. So if somebody has Rahu in those houses, it's good for success in business in in kama trikonas. And he has Rahu in third house, particularly in Dhirubhai Amani's case, it was one sign again, it was Kumbha rasi, and the only influence on him, only aspect on him is from Mars. Mars is in the ninth house and he's aspecting Rahu. And Mars is the fifth lord from his Dhanu lagna. So fifth lord shows purnima, and fifth is also fifth is the house of emotions, and this fifth and dh are important for risk taking, gambling, etc., because these are the house of emotions. So if the fifth lord, the raja lord, is is having an influence on Rahu in the third, they can be excellent uh risk takers and they can they can be innovative businessmen. So Rahu in the third gave him that innovative business.
But I just want to point out one thing here. Each position of Rahu in a particular house doesn't give one single result. It basically there are a spectrum of spectrum of results that are possible. And within that spectrum, depending on other influences, like which sign it is, which planets are aspecting it or associated with it, based on that the exact results can come. I'll give you another example of Rahu in third house. There's a there's a Telugu actor called Chiranjeevi, the elder brother of Andhra Pradesh chief minister, deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan. He's known as Megastar. He was a self-made man. Pawan Kalyan came on the force of his brother's reputation. But Chiranjeevi was a totally self-made man. He was, he doesn't look good. He has unconventional looks when, especially when he came to the industry, and people did not see him as a hero material. As a matter of fact, some big big people in the industry thought he'll be a good villain. He even played some roles like that initially in his in his career. But the thing is, people who know him, they know that he works extremely hard. He's he has that indomitable spirit of I want to succeed at any cost. So that kind of determination comes from Rahu in the third house. In general, male fix in the third house, but he basically introduced all these special dance steps to Telugu movies. He's an excellent dancer. So he brought certain certain new things to Telugu film industry, and they caught on with people, and he's seen as a megastar, and he's the biggest star probably in the history of Telugu industry, and he's still going strong even though he's in his 60s. So that is another another thing. Rahu can, Rahu in the third can give basically whether it is money, of course he's rich also, but where is money or whether is fame or whether is success as a as an actor or success in something else, Rahu in third will give you excellent uh determination. At any cost, you will work hard and you will succeed.
I'll give one last example for Rahu in the third house, an unconventional example. There is a great acharya known as Dr. Robert Sapora. He he he wrote the Agora series books, which is very famous especially in spiritual community. He he he's the he's the shishya of Agori Vimalananda. So he was going to pursue medicine in US. He's from Texas, a very conventional American family. He was going to pursue medicine, but he just wanted to travel the world. And before before he he took a break after his, when he was about to go to medical, he came to India and he met Abhuri Vivalanda ji, and then he got interested in Ayurveda. He's a great Ayurvedic doctor, great practitioner of yoga, and an exponent of tantra, particularly Aghora, left-handed tantra. And he he lectures and he basically writes lot of books. And I know him personally well. He's one of the wisest men I have ever met physically. And he has Rahu in the third house. And in his case, what did Rahu in the third house show? That determination, somebody born in a traditional normal Texan American family, for him to basically go abroad and then suddenly decide, I will learn Ayurveda, I'll basically study Ayurveda in India, I'm not going to become a doctor. That kind of basically big changes in life, for those to occur in your life, you really have to have strong determination. So in general, Rahu in the third house is what gives you determination. And particularly for business, definitely Rahu in the third or Rahu in the seventh or eleventh is really really useful.
On that note, let's look at a few examples of Rahu in the eleventh house. What is eleventh house? What does it stand for? Eleventh house is the house of fulfilling your desire. See, three, seven, and ten. Three, seven, and eleven are the kama trikonas, the the the trines of desire. Third gives you determination. It is the initiative. It is the starting point. Seventh is interacting with people, doing business. And eleventh is getting what you want. It is the house of labha. So fulfilling your desires and making profits, gains. So eleventh house Rahu, actually some people consider that, compared to even three and seven or three and six, eleventh Rahu is the best placement in the chart. That is what some astrologers opine, because it is the fulfillment of desires. Whereas third is putting effort, having determination to work hard, whereas seventh is working hard, and sixth is fighting with obstacles and overcoming obstacles, whereas eleventh is actually getting what you want. It is fulfilling all your desires. And a few examples of this are George W. Bush, a man who was born with silver spoon. His father George Bush was America's America's vice president, then president. He was a big shot in CIA, a big big celebrity in Texas as well as in US politics. So he was born with a silver spoon. He got whatever he wanted. He he was the governor of Texas, then president of US. So George W. Bush is one example. Another example is Queen Victoria. Queen Victoria has Rahu in the eleventh house. Again, somebody born with a silver spoon. Somebody basically blessed. So she, all her desires will naturally be fulfilled. And another person born with a silver spoon is Donald Trump, current president of US. He also has Rahu in the eleventh house in the bhava chart. Actually, one note here, his lagna is in the beginning of Simha. Is Rahu is in the last degree of Kanya. Some people will think that that is basically tenth house, but really if you look at the bhava chakra, which is what you have to really look to see the houses, Rahu is in the eleventh house. And he inherited exact number, nobody knows, like 100 million or 200 million of dollars. He inherited from his father, and he basically again he was somebody born with a silver spoon, and he had a had a had a inside track into the real estate business in New York, which was very hot at that time in '70s and '80s. So again, Rahu in the eleventh house is very auspicious for either being born with a silver spoon or even otherwise, things just fall in place for you very easily. Rahul Gandhi has this placement? Eleventh house? >> I don't remember Rahul Gandhi. [laughter] >> Because he's also born with silver spoon. >> Well, his silver spoon is really different, because he's not able to enjoy it. Whereas Queen Victoria and others, they all really enjoyed their silver spoon. So, I'm not really sure Rahul Gandhi will have Rahu in the eleventh house. I'll double check his chart. He actually has Rahu in the fifth house. >> Oh, >> we'll talk about it later. Yeah, we'll talk about why what that means later. But he doesn't have, because if Rahu is in the eleventh house, you not only are born with silver spoon, you are actually enjoy that silver spoon. It's it doesn't become a burden for you. So, >> so even if you don't work hard and you have Rahu in the eleventh house, you're going to have good lifestyle. >> See, see, we can't say anything just placed on one planet. It depends on a lot of factors. But that factor alone is sufficient to basically give you happy life where whatever you want is in general happening. But but obviously, based on other planets, because other eight planets are not going to sit idle in the chart. They will also have some role to play. But Rahu himself will give, particularly in his Dashas, in during his important transits, he will give fulfillment of desires. In general, such people are tough to basically uh contain, because somehow or the other they end up getting what they want to get. So these are the three important placements of Rahu: three, six, and eleven are the most auspicious placements in the horoscope.
>> Right? And what about Bharat Kundli now? Because that is the most important question for me. Where is Rahu placed in Bharat's Kundli? See, in Bharata's, only Rahu is in the first house. And first house is your overall personality, who you are, what is your self-identification. So when Rahu is in the first house, such people are ambitious, they're very courageous, and they have, most importantly, they are very independent, because lagna shows your personality, and Rahu is a very inventive original planet who doesn't necessarily play by the rules. He he he brings that indomitable spirit. So in general, people with Rahu in the first house, they tend to be very independent and strong opinions and get what they want, what whatever it requires. But they have to work very hard, because lagna shows your overall wellbeing, health, etc. So when Rahu is there, it affects your health or it affects your your your sense of well-being. So people with Rahu and Lagna tend to work very hard, but they have strong independence and they they assert their position in the world. One example, for those who who who are familiar with American football, there's a great player, a legendary player called Tom Brady. He won more Super Bowls than any team in the NFL. He because he he won with two different teams. No other team won more than the Super Bowls that he won. So it's it's kind of like saying a person won more World Cups than any country. So it's basically equivalent to that. So he's a he's a legendary player, and he's known to be highly highly uh motivated. He basically he works really hard, and he he played up to 45 years of age, and he won a Super Bowl at the age of 43. When people thought his career was over, he moved to a new team. In his first year with the new team, he won Super Bowl. So and everybody who worked with him say that he's very hardworking. So in general, people who have Rahu in the first house tend to work very hard, and they are very they're very creative and innovative in and very independent in their spirit. They're very spirited, basically. So it is it is actually good for India. It's not a bad placement for India at all. >> Why? Uh, why first first house makes somebody very hardworking? Because my personal interaction with people in the first house and tenth house, by the way, they're very hard working, the workaholic, like they can't sit for 2 minutes idle. But the first house and tenth house Rahu, this is my personal observation. >> Because first is your body. Wherever Rahu is, he will basically make that suffer. So when Rahu is in the house of your body, he will he won't care about your body, basically he will make your body suffer. And similarly, like you said, tenth house Rahu. Uh, what Shastra say is, if Rahu is in the tenth house, they they work hard, but whether they work hard or not, working hard is definitely a possibility. But most importantly, they really care about success in their work, because Rahu shows your deep desires, and the house he is in, that is the focus of your desires. So when Rahu is in the tenth house, you care a lot about your work. You care a lot about your output, because people think that tenth is the work that you do. It is really the output that you put out to towards the society. So it is your accomplishment or output. So they really care a lot about the output. They can work really hard. And also there is another thing. Rahu is the planet of make-believe and basically putting on a show, etc. So people with Rahu in tenth house can either work hard, they can basically there can be some kind of manipulation involved with their career. Things may not be smooth, or they can be, for example, in in the in the film world or some some field where you are creating a reality, something that's not real, because Rahu shows fake reality. So creating some kind of fake reality and and immersing people in that. A few famous examples of Rahu in the tenth house are Shah Rukh Khan, a great actor who really he's a great workaholic. And also there is some make-believe about his career. And Agatha Christie, the great uh novelist, detective, no, novelist. So she was, she created a world, a fake world, in which people could get lost. And Rahu in tenth can show that. And Mahatma Gandhi, surprisingly, had Rahu in the tenth house. So >> huh, seriously? Seriously? >> Yes. Seriously. So, first of all, it either shows somebody who works hard, or it can show somebody whose career is involved with creating some fake reality, creating some projection, basically some some fake world for people to be immersed in. So, I will not comment further on it. Another example is JD Vance. So if you look at JD Vance, just a few years back he said that Trump is literally Adolf Hitler. He basically said that Trump is dangerous, Trump is ruining the country, and anybody who supports him is an idiot. So these were said by him just five six years back, or before the 2024 election, it was like five years back or even four years back. He basically, and even when Trump said that he won 2020 and it was stolen from him, he criticized Trump at that time. And 3 years later, he was Trump's running partner, and now he's the yes-man of Trump, basically. People with Rahu in the tenth house, there is some kind of make-believe, some kind of creating a reality which is not real, involved with their career. So this is JD Vance is another example. Agatha Christie, JD Vance, and I believe another example is Adolf Hitler. Hitler is another example of Rahu in the tenth house. So again, there was some fakery relating to his career, projecting himself as a great leader, standing for certain causes. So basically, people with Rahu they work hard, they care a lot about their image in the world and their professional success. And in addition, there is some kind of make-believe associated with their their career.
>> So first house, yeah, we have we have discussed first house Rahu. What what will be the impact on Bharat of first house Rahu, and then we'll go to the other houses? >> Well, impact on Bharat. Uh, see, some people, like you said earlier, India is going to start Rahu Dasha soon. I personally don't don't use these Dasha for countries, because it's absolutely illogical in my view. Because this assumes that the paramayush is 120 years. Rishi clearly said that if you are using Vimshottari Dasha for a non-human being, you have to either compress or expand based on the paramayush. If it is elephant, if it is horse, if it is dog, if it is whale, different number of years have been prescribed by Rishis. And for countries, we don't know what the paramayush is. And taking 120 years as the paramayush of countries is absolutely nonsense. It is illogical. I know many people think that India is in Rahu Dasha right now. I don't buy that. This is basically we don't know. We don't know what the paramayush is for countries. So the thing, but the thing is, Rahu in Lagna makes India very creative and innovative and workholic and independent in the world. Basically having, giving a lot of importance to your own sense of being, because Rahu wherever he is, you give importance to that, you care a lot about it. And first house is your your independence, your personality. So you give a lot of importance to your own independence. Now, the thing is, when, depending on which house Rahu is traversing in, currently transiting in, you can give results. So based on that, currently Rahu is in the eighth house. So eighth house Rahu will no, uh, foreign influence to disturb India. But the thing is, Rahu in India's case shows somebody who's very independent, who doesn't take things lying down. So the thing is, India will take foreign interference very strongly during this time, during the during the current period, and India will be very bold about that. And in the next one and a half years, Rahu will come into seventh house from India's moon. So seventh house shows relationships. So India will bring its independent nature, its clear independence, in the matter of foreign relations. So coming from this December, next two years are going to see India playing a very strong independent role in world diplomacy and and playing a important role in the relations with other countries.
>> Uh, that's Rahu in eighth house. Rahu, what if we see >> I was talking about transit, basically. Rahu in first house, when he transits in the seventh house, what results he gives? >> Right. So what about Rahu in second house? >> Yeah, let's quickly go through, yeah, various houses. Rahu in the fourth house? Sorry, Rahu in the second house. Second house is money, it is speech, all these things. So if Rahu is in the second house, such people they may put lot, and it is also the house of family. Such people may put a lot of emphasis on family matters, they may put a lot of emphasis on wealth, and they may they may accumulate a lot of wealth unconventionally. They may also put a lot of uh weight on their speech. It may be good for occult speech, etc. A couple of examples: a great American football player who still playing, called Aaron Rodgers, who is second only to Tom Brady, who we mentioned earlier. He has Rahu in the second house. So he's he's a very wealthy man, and he basically he he's very strict about his contract negotiations, etc. And secondly, Dr. B.V. Raman, great astrologer, he has Rahu in the second house. And in his case, Rahu is the lagna lord. So he's a benefic planet. So when lagna lord is in the second house, basically speech, predictions, etc., becomes an important part of your life. So he has he has Rahu in the second house. So like that, Rahu in the second house, those people they may put emphasis on speech, family, wealth, etc.
And if we look at Rahu in fourth house, such people, fourth house is the house of stability in your life, peace, sukha. >> Yeah. It's not necessarily family, but extended family. It's your home, where you live. So people with Rahu in the fourth house may have disturbed family or disturbed home surroundings. They may be nomads. They may be moving a lot. They may not be, they may not be restricted to one place, etc. And another thing is, Rahu in fourth will aspect the tenth house. So again, they care a lot about their career. But in general, it shows somebody with instability, because fourth house is the stability inside us, the sukha inside us. They don't have sukha. A few examples are Tom Hanks. He's a great actor, but he was always he was always on the move, and he really worked very hard whenever he made movies. So he he was kind of like a nomad. So Tom Hanks is one example. >> Family is disturbed, family is very disturbed of Tom Hanks. He doesn't have a good family. >> Unfortunately, yes. Yes. And Aishwarya Rai she has Rahu in the fourth house. So such people may have some instability in life in terms of their surroundings and moving a lot. So I don't want to speculate what is happening in her life now, but in general, at a young age she became Miss World, and she was acting in various movies and always on the move. So even at least that can be given by Rahu in the fourth house. And one interesting example of a different kind is Ramana Maharshi. He has Kanya lagna with Rahu in the fourth house. But the thing is, see, again he not really a nomad, but at a young age, 16 years, he experienced the true nature. He spontaneously reached a samadhi, and he basically wanted to make it permanent. He wanted to go back. So he lost interest in his family. He left his family. He went to Arunachalam. He just sat in a cave and he started meditating, and people were just taking pity on him and feeding him some food, and he just survived with that. And his goal was to realize his true nature and make it permanent. So that can also be given by Rahu in the fourth house, not just a nomad who's working in films and always on the move. It can also be a saint. But the thing interesting thing is, in Ramana Maharshi's case, Rahu is with Sun, who's the twelfth lord in his chart. Twelfth lord of moksha, of detachment. So Rahu is with Sun, moksha karka, as well as Moon and Ketu are opposite him and aspecting him. So basically, soul, mind are under Rahu's influence, Rahu-Ketu influence. So that is again more conducive towards pursuit of moksha. But bottom line is, Rahu in fourth is what made him leave home at a very young age and live in a cave in a very unstable circumstance.
If we look at Rahu in fifth house, fifth house is the house of emotions, is the house of intellect, it's the house of logical thinking. So in general, people who have Rahu in the fifth house, they have, they there is extreme creativity, they can be very original in their thinking, they can be very original in their emotions, and they can be the they can be very brilliant in whatever they do. And a couple of famous examples are Garry Kasparov, who's a great chess player, one of the greatest chess players ever. He has Rahu in the fifth house. And also, apart from being a being a great player of brilliant intellect, she's also a, he's also a a person against communism, person against the Russian Russian nation, and he's very outspoken in his opinion. So when it comes to emotions and intellect, they basically have some some uniqueness basically that Rahu gives. Another famous example is Warren Buffett. Warren Buffett, he is a great investor. He's a billionaire, and he's >> investment guru. So the in his chart also, he has Rahu in the fifth house of emotions, and to some extent he is basically risk taking, etc. So he he is again somebody who has that unique intellect, just like Garry Kasparov. But the thing is, it worked in a different way. So he also has the interesting thing is, his Rahu is aspected by only one planet, Venus, who's the eleventh lord in the eleventh house. He had Dhanu lagna, Rahu in Aries in the fifth house. Aries is a fiery sign. So he's he his intellect is very fiery and also very independent and very innovative because of Rahu. And Venus is the eleventh lord in the eleventh house, showing gains. So that Venus is aspecting Rahu. So his innovative thinking, his brilliance, his unconventional brilliance, they're all coming in in the form of making more gains. So making financial gains, etc. That is how his uh unconventional intellect was basically used.
So these are some of examples of Rahu in fifth. And Rahu in the seventh house. It can it can show somebody who puts a lot of emphasis on marriage, relationships, etc. It can also show unstable marriage or somebody who has to work hard to make a marriage work. And it can also show somebody who who travels abroad for marriage, because Rahu is the karaka for foreign travel, particularly when Rahu is associated with the seventh house of long travel or ninth house of flourishing abroad or the twelfth house of leaving motherland. If he's in seventh, ninth, or twelfth houses or has some links with them, they can settle abroad. One one famous example is Madhuri Dixit, the brilliant actress, excellent dancer, actress of Bollywood in '80s and '90s. She has Rahu in the seventh house. So basically she married abroad and moved abroad.
And Rahu in the eighth house is very interesting. People may think that Rahu, see, eighth Rahu is actually pretty bad. Rahu in the because eighth house is the house of instability. So when Rahu is in the house of instability, it can give a lot of anxiety, instability, etc. I know many people, normal people who have Rahu in the eighth house, they suffer from anxiety, tension, hypertension, etc. But the eighth house is also the center of moksha trikona. Fourth house of peace starts your moksha. Eighth house of sadhana and tapas, working hard that basically continues your sadhana. And twelfth house of detachment is the culmination of your sadhana. So fourth and twelfth, >> they are known as moksha trikonas, the trines of liberation. So peace, peace, and then working hard, detachedly, and then just being detached. Whether you work or not, you don't care, you just are detached, you don't care. So that is twelfth. So eighth house is a moksha trikona. It is also the house of the hidden, of the occult. So mystic knowledge, occult knowledge, and hidden things, they all come from the eighth house. So people in the people with Rahu in the eighth house, on one hand they can suffer anxieties, etc., because their soul is trying to take them to something hidden, but they they feel uncomfortable with it. So they're anxious, nervous, they're unhappy. So that is one possibility in the spectrum. Another possibility is they actually embrace it and they find hidden things. So on material, in the material realm, it can show people who are great inventors, who think of what nobody has thought of, >> great inventions, and they come up with something. And spiritual realm, it can show somebody who's very mystical, who just who doesn't care about the world, who wants to understand what is beyond all this, where are we coming from, where are we going to, and trying to basically make spiritual progress. So great uh occult people can come with Rahu in eighth house. A couple of very famous examples are Swami Chandrasekhara Saraswati, the Paramacharya before Jayendra Swamigal. He is he is known as uh, he's basically he he is one of the greatest spiritual masters of the last thousand years, and he's known in Tamil Nadu as Periyar. So not Periyar, so he he his his powers and his abilities are well documented and well known. He's a great man. He has Rahu in the eighth house. And another example is Dalai Lama. The current Dalai Lama has Rahu in the eighth house. So basically, people with Rahu in the eighth house, there can be some occult uh powers and occult understanding, mystical understanding, etc. On the other hand, like I said, it can also show somebody who is a creator, who's an inventor. So couple of famous examples. Interestingly, both of them have Vrischika lagna and Mars exalted, Mars and Rahu in the eighth house. One is Elon Musk in current generation, and another is Albert Einstein many generations back. So Albert Einstein and Elon Musk, both of them are great inventors, great scientists, and both of them >> I hope he's not a re reincarnation of Albert Einstein, >> but both of them have Rahu in the eighth house with Mars. So that that is also a possibility.
And then let's talk about ninth house. See, ninth house is the house of dharma. It is the house of following religion, following guru, following authorities. Ninth house is the house of authorities. It is the house of obeying authorities, obeying guru, etc. And also blessings of gurus, blessings of devatas. So when Rahu is in the ninth house, the unconventional approach of Rahu comes to obeying. So they don't obey. They don't necessarily obey conventions when it comes to religion. They may they may break some barriers. They may they may, but the but the bottom line is, their focus is on ninth house. Wherever Rahu is, you focus on that, because there is a deep desire related to that house. So they want, they are interested in dharma, but there is something unconventional about what they do. They're not necessarily. See, Jupiter in ninth house will show somebody who follows dharma very orthodox. But these people can break barriers. They can create a new path for themselves. They can be pathbreaking religious figures. And a couple of examples are, one example is Paramahamsa Yogananda, the Kriya Yoga expert, the shishya of Babaji Mahavatar Babaji and Lahiri Mahasaya, and he's a shishya of the great Yukteswar Maharaj. He went abroad and he brought awareness for Kriya Yoga in the world. So Paramahamsa Yogananda has Rahu in the ninth house. So that made him very unconventional in following the following the religion, and he crossed the ocean and he he took it to foreigners, and so many people's lives have been uplifted as a result of it. So he is one example. And another interesting example is, I don't know how many people remember Sri uh Chandra Swami. He was a great godman. He also, he also has Rahu in the ninth house. His chart also has Rahu in the ninth house. So basically you bring some unconventional approach to religion. And he was a, he had great siddhis, he had mystical powers. And great leaders, world leaders like Margaret Thatcher, Sultan of Brunei, many people, they followed him. And he he demonstrated his siddhis in front of them. He did miracles, and then he used his siddhis just to do miracles and impress people, and then he employed proper priests who did proper agamas for those people. I know a priest who was in his team. He was he was a he.
He was from a traditional family of Shivaras. He was employed by Chandra Swami at a very young age, and then he used to do pujas. He did pujas for Sultana Brun, for Ramadasa, for Indira, not Indira Gandhi, for Margaret Thatcher, for many big world leaders.
But one day, Mother Kali appeared before that Swami ji and said, "Leave now. His time is over. He's going to..." "You, you leave." So that night, that Swami ji left him. And then he, he, he's the head priest of a temple now, a very famous temple.
But the thing is, that day there was a raid on his ashram, and after that, he had a big fall. And why he had a fall, all that we can, that that's a different matter. There are other combinations in the chart. But the thing is, from what I know, he was a man of genuine siddhi. But he used siddhis only to attract people. He did proper agamas to help people. He was serving, but he made a lot of money, and he used that money to basically enjoy. And at the end, he had a terrible fall.
But bottom line is, Rahu in the 9th house can make you an unconventional godman or an unconventional follower of religion. It can also show, I don't have any examples, but it can also show somebody who has some troubles related to father, some troubles related to authorities or boss at work, etc. [snorts] And we already talked about 10th and 11th houses.
Lastly, 12th house. 12th house. 12th house is the moksha sthana. It is also the house of displacement from your motherland, going abroad. So Rahu in the 12th can make somebody go abroad and settle in a totally foreign culture. That is one possibility. The other is, 12th is the house of moksha. When Rahu is in the 12th house, you, what you deeply care about is moksha, detachment, liberation. So it can also show God.
It's not Ketu. Ketu in the 12th house for moksha. It's... no, no, both. See, 12th is the house of moksha. Ketu in the 12th gives naturally moksha. Rahu in the 12th gives you a lot of passion about moksha, a lot of desire for moksha. But both of them can take you in the moksha marga.
So, and one famous example of Rahu in the 12th house is Swami Vivekananda. He had Dhul lagna, and he had Rahu in the 12th house. And in this case, Rahu is the third lord. So third lord of initiative and parakrama. His parakrama is towards the 12th house. So he was, he was very passionate about his detachment. But at the same time, he, he, he went around asking various gurus about God and how to basically be with God. And finally, he found Ramakrishna. And he traveled abroad too, because of Rahu in the 12th house. He, he, he went abroad and he spent prime years of his life in UK and US. So that is another thing given by Rahu in the 12th house.
And one last and final example of Rahu in the 12th, a very unconventional example. As I said, Rahu in the 12th usually takes people to foreign lands and they settle down there. But what about somebody who goes to moon? Neil Armstrong had Rahu in, Rahu in 12th. [laughter] So he, he had a displacement not only within Earth, but he basically went, he left Earth. And he, he was the first man to land on moon. He had Rahu in the 12th house.
In general, Rahu in the 12th house will show foreign travels or some desire towards being free and liberation. So in general, these are...
What about Subhash Chandra Bose? Where was his Rahu?
I don't know if I have his chart. Let me quickly check. Um, MK Gandhi had, uh, where 10th house, I remember. 10th house we mentioned. Yeah, I don't have Subhash Chandra Bose's chart, sorry.
So, see, the thing is, it, I demonstrated in a few examples, it depends on which house Rahu is in, and also which sign it is in. See, Rahu is sixth in Vrishchika in Bill's chart worked in a particular way. In Meena, in Narendra Modi's chart, worked in a different way. So it depends on which rashi it is, and also it depends on which planets are conjunct or which planets are aspecting that Rahu. So there are a lot of factors.
And how much effort is being put on that is also, I think, important.
But Rahu shows where you, what you care about deeply, deep inside you, what you care about. So if you don't ignore it and you actually put effort in that area, it'll be beneficial to you. So don't be scared of Rahu. Rahu is just somebody who wants you to badly want something and get stuck in a cycle of but, but, death, but, death. So basically, he's the one who gets you stuck in the cycle of rebirths. But the thing is, he's not somebody to be scared of. He can give you excellent success. But what, what you need to do is put effort in the area that Rahu wants you to care about.
Effort in the area Rahu is situated in, third, sixth, eleventh, or whichever house.
Whichever house. If he's in the second house, put more effort in your family matters, wealth, speech, etc. But it is, it is also 50% of the results also depend on the dasha, the, the conjunction, various factors, various factors.
And another thing is, even if you suppose Rahu is terrible in your chart, one more last thing. The planets who are with Rahu, like, like I said, they are important. Particularly if Rahu is with Mars or Moon or Sun, be careful. Or Guru. Be careful because Jupiter is your wisdom, and Rahu is basically just breaking rules and doing whatever you want, deep desires. So wisdom and deep desires don't go together well. In other words, Jupiter and Rahu being together is like a priest being with a gunda. So that's not really a good [laughter] combination. So... Guru Chandal Yoga, I think that's Guru Chandal Yoga. So if you have Guru Chandal Yoga, it makes your Jupiter weak. In that case, chanting is a great idea. If you can chant Aditya Hrudayam three times every every morning, that is auspicious. So Sun worship, basically. If the priest is tucked with a gunda, Sun can come and rescue the priest. That is why you pray to Sun. Similarly, if Sun is afflicted by Rahu, it is like the king is ruined by a villain, a gunda. Then basically, if the, if the king is ruined by a villain, then basically you, you need the priest to do some puja for him and save him. So Guru, you worship Guru in that case. If Sun is with Rahu, you worship Brihaspati Graha. So you can worship directly Jupiter as a planet, or you can worship any Guru Devatas who are like teacher figures, like Dattatreya, Dakshinamurthy, etc. So that is, that is, that is very helpful if your Sun is with Rahu.
And finally, if Mars is with Rahu. Mars is your your energy to do things, your initiative, your parakrama, the fire in the belly. And when that is basically overdriven by the unconventional energy of Rahu, it is basically not a good combination. It is...
Murderers?
Yeah, it can be somebody who's very aggressive, not necessarily murderers, people who are very aggressive and who can basically be very fierce and sometimes not care about rules and just break the rules in their short temper, that kind of people. So to control that Mars with Rahu, it is very good to worship Subrahmanya, Swami Kartikeya, the second son of Shiva and Parvati. So worship Kartikeya with any prayer. One simple prayer is Subrahmanya Ashtakam. It's a very powerful prayer. If you can worship Subramanya or Kartikeya or Skanda or Kumaraswami, that can be very beneficial for Mars with Rahu.
I have one question to ask. What if Rahu is combusted near Sun? Now who takes over? Rahu or Sun?
Rahu doesn't care. "Sun is with me. I'm combusted." He afflicts Sun. So if they're very close, it is Sun who suffers because of it. Atma, Atma Bala will suffer because of Rahu's energy. See, it's like eclipse. When Sun and Moon are with Rahu or Ketu, it is like your mind or your willpower, your soul are eclipsed. So that is why I said worshipping Guru is a good idea.
Similarly, if Moon is afflicted by Rahu, and basically mind is under Rahu's influence, and Rahu is basically unconventional thinking. So mind is in overdrive. It can be people with Moon close to Rahu tend to be very anxious, very nervous. There is a high level of Vata inside their body. So, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, s, So, and one famous example of Rahu in the 12th house is Swami Vivekananda. He had Dhul lagna, and he had Rahu in the 12th house. And in this case, Rahu is the third lord. So third lord of initiative and parakrama. His parakrama is towards the 12th house. So he was, he was very passionate about his detachment. But at the same time, he, he, he went around asking various gurus about God and how to basically be with God. And finally, he found Ramakrishna. And he traveled abroad too, because of Rahu in the 12th house. He, he, he went abroad and he spent prime years of his life in UK and US. So that is another thing given by Rahu in the 12th house.
And one last and final example of Rahu in the 12th, a very unconventional example. As I said, Rahu in the 12th usually takes people to foreign lands and they settle down there. But what about somebody who goes to moon? Neil Armstrong had Rahu in, Rahu in 12th. [laughter] So he, he had a displacement not only within Earth, but he basically went, he left Earth. And he, he was the first man to land on moon. He had Rahu in the 12th house.
In general, Rahu in the 12th house will show foreign travels or some desire towards being free and liberation. So in general, these are...
What about Subhash Chandra Bose? Where was his Rahu?
I don't know if I have his chart. Let me quickly check. Um, MK Gandhi had, uh, where 10th house, I remember. 10th house we mentioned. Yeah, I don't have Subhash Chandra Bose's chart, sorry.
So, see, the thing is, it, I demonstrated in a few examples, it depends on which house Rahu is in, and also which sign it is in. See, Rahu is sixth in Vrishchika in Bill's chart worked in a particular way. In Meena, in Narendra Modi's chart, worked in a different way. So it depends on which rashi it is, and also it depends on which planets are conjunct or which planets are aspecting that Rahu. So there are a lot of factors.
And how much effort is being put on that is also, I think, important.
But Rahu shows where you, what you care about deeply, deep inside you, what you care about. So if you don't ignore it and you actually put effort in that area, it'll be beneficial to you. So don't be scared of Rahu. Rahu is just somebody who wants you to badly want something and get stuck in a cycle of but, but, death, but, death. So basically, he's the one who gets you stuck in the cycle of rebirths. But the thing is, he's not somebody to be scared of. He can give you excellent success. But what, what you need to do is put effort in the area that Rahu wants you to care about.
Effort in the area Rahu is situated in, third, sixth, eleventh, or whichever house.
Whichever house. If he's in the second house, put more effort in your family matters, wealth, speech, etc. But it is, it is also 50% of the results also depend on the dasha, the, the conjunction, various factors, various factors.
And another thing is, even if you suppose Rahu is terrible in your chart, one more last thing. The planets who are with Rahu, like, like I said, they are important. Particularly if Rahu is with Mars or Moon or Sun, be careful. Or Guru. Be careful because Jupiter is your wisdom, and Rahu is basically just breaking rules and doing whatever you want, deep desires. So wisdom and deep desires don't go together well. In other words, Jupiter and Rahu being together is like a priest being with a gunda. So that's not really a good [laughter] combination. So... Guru Chandal Yoga, I think that's Guru Chandal Yoga. So if you have Guru Chandal Yoga, it makes your Jupiter weak. In that case, chanting is a great idea. If you can chant Aditya Hrudayam three times every every morning, that is auspicious. So Sun worship, basically. If the priest is tucked with a gunda, Sun can come and rescue the priest. That is why you pray to Sun. Similarly, if Sun is afflicted by Rahu, it is like the king is ruined by a villain, a gunda. Then basically, if the, if the king is ruined by a villain, then basically you, you need the priest to do some puja for him and save him. So Guru, you worship Guru in that case. If Sun is with Rahu, you worship Brihaspati Graha. So you can worship directly Jupiter as a planet, or you can worship any Guru Devatas who are like teacher figures, like Dattatreya, Dakshinamurthy, etc. So that is, that is, that is very helpful if your Sun is with Rahu.
And finally, if Mars is with Rahu. Mars is your your energy to do things, your initiative, your parakrama, the fire in the belly. And when that is basically overdriven by the unconventional energy of Rahu, it is basically not a good combination. It is...
Murderers?
Yeah, it can be somebody who's very aggressive, not necessarily murderers, people who are very aggressive and who can basically be very fierce and sometimes not care about rules and just break the rules in their short temper, that kind of people. So to control that Mars with Rahu, it is very good to worship Subrahmanya, Swami Kartikeya, the second son of Shiva and Parvati. So worship Kartikeya with any prayer. One simple prayer is Subrahmanya Ashtakam. It's a very powerful prayer. If you can worship Subramanya or Kartikeya or Skanda or Kumaraswami, that can be very beneficial for Mars with Rahu.
I have one question to ask. What if Rahu is combusted near Sun? Now who takes over? Rahu or Sun?
Rahu doesn't care. "Sun is with me. I'm combusted." He afflicts Sun. So if they're very close, it is Sun who suffers because of it. Atma, Atma Bala will suffer because of Rahu's energy. See, it's like eclipse. When Sun and Moon are with Rahu or Ketu, it is like your mind or your willpower, your soul are eclipsed. So that is why I said worshipping Guru is a good idea.
Similarly, if Moon is afflicted by Rahu, and basically mind is under Rahu's influence, and Rahu is basically unconventional thinking. So mind is in overdrive. It can be people with Moon close to Rahu tend to be very anxious, very nervous. There is a high level of Vata inside their body. So, and one famous example of Rahu in the 12th house is Swami Vivekananda. He had Dhul lagna, and he had Rahu in the 12th house. And in this case, Rahu is the third lord. So third lord of initiative and parakrama. His parakrama is towards the 12th house. So he was, he was very passionate about his detachment. But at the same time, he, he, he went around asking various gurus about God and how to basically be with God. And finally, he found Ramakrishna. And he traveled abroad too, because of Rahu in the 12th house. He, he, he went abroad and he spent prime years of his life in UK and US. So that is another thing given by Rahu in the 12th house.
And one last and final example of Rahu in the 12th, a very unconventional example. As I said, Rahu in the 12th usually takes people to foreign lands and they settle down there. But what about somebody who goes to moon? Neil Armstrong had Rahu in, Rahu in 12th. [laughter] So he, he had a displacement not only within Earth, but he basically went, he left Earth. And he, he was the first man to land on moon. He had Rahu in the 12th house.
In general, Rahu in the 12th house will show foreign travels or some desire towards being free and liberation. So in general, these are...
What about Subhash Chandra Bose? Where was his Rahu?
I don't know if I have his chart. Let me quickly check. Um, MK Gandhi had, uh, where 10th house, I remember. 10th house we mentioned. Yeah, I don't have Subhash Chandra Bose's chart, sorry.
So, see, the thing is, it, I demonstrated in a few examples, it depends on which house Rahu is in, and also which sign it is in. See, Rahu is sixth in Vrishchika in Bill's chart worked in a particular way. In Meena, in Narendra Modi's chart, worked in a different way. So it depends on which rashi it is, and also it depends on which planets are conjunct or which planets are aspecting that Rahu. So there are a lot of factors.
And how much effort is being put on that is also, I think, important.
But Rahu shows where you, what you care about deeply, deep inside you, what you care about. So if you don't ignore it and you actually put effort in that area, it'll be beneficial to you. So don't be scared of Rahu. Rahu is just somebody who wants you to badly want something and get stuck in a cycle of but, but, death, but, death. So basically, he's the one who gets you stuck in the cycle of rebirths. But the thing is, he's not somebody to be scared of. He can give you excellent success. But what, what you need to do is put effort in the area that Rahu wants you to care about.
Effort in the area Rahu is situated in, third, sixth, eleventh, or whichever house.
Whichever house. If he's in the second house, put more effort in your family matters, wealth, speech, etc. But it is, it is also 50% of the results also depend on the dasha, the, the conjunction, various factors, various factors.
And another thing is, even if you suppose Rahu is terrible in your chart, one more last thing. The planets who are with Rahu, like, like I said, they are important. Particularly if Rahu is with Mars or Moon or Sun, be careful. Or Guru. Be careful because Jupiter is your wisdom, and Rahu is basically just breaking rules and doing whatever you want, deep desires. So wisdom and deep desires don't go together well. In other words, Jupiter and Rahu being together is like a priest being with a gunda. So that's not really a good [laughter] combination. So... Guru Chandal Yoga, I think that's Guru Chandal Yoga. So if you have Guru Chandal Yoga, it makes your Jupiter weak. In that case, chanting is a great idea. If you can chant Aditya Hrudayam three times every every morning, that is auspicious. So Sun worship, basically. If the priest is tucked with a gunda, Sun can come and rescue the priest. That is why you pray to Sun. Similarly, if Sun is afflicted by Rahu, it is like the king is ruined by a villain, a gunda. Then basically, if the, if the king is ruined by a villain, then basically you, you need the priest to do some puja for him and save him. So Guru, you worship Guru in that case. If Sun is with Rahu, you worship Brihaspati Graha. So you can worship directly Jupiter as a planet, or you can worship any Guru Devatas who are like teacher figures, like Dattatreya, Dakshinamurthy, etc. So that is, that is, that is very helpful if your Sun is with Rahu.
And finally, if Mars is with Rahu. Mars is your your energy to do things, your initiative, your parakrama, the fire in the belly. And when that is basically overdriven by the unconventional energy of Rahu, it is basically not a good combination. It is...
Murderers?
Yeah, it can be somebody who's very aggressive, not necessarily murderers, people who are very aggressive and who can basically be very fierce and sometimes not care about rules and just break the rules in their short temper, that kind of people. So to control that Mars with Rahu, it is very good to worship Subrahmanya, Swami Kartikeya, the second son of Shiva and Parvati. So worship Kartikeya with any prayer. One simple prayer is Subrahmanya Ashtakam. It's a very powerful prayer. If you can worship Subramanya or Kartikeya or Skanda or Kumaraswami, that can be very beneficial for Mars with Rahu.
I have one question to ask. What if Rahu is combusted near Sun? Now who takes over? Rahu or Sun?
Rahu doesn't care. "Sun is with me. I'm combusted." He afflicts Sun. So if they're very close, it is Sun who suffers because of it. Atma, Atma Bala will suffer because of Rahu's energy. See, it's like eclipse. When Sun and Moon are with Rahu or Ketu, it is like your mind or your willpower, your soul are eclipsed. So that is why I said worshipping Guru is a good idea.
Similarly, if Moon is afflicted by Rahu, and basically mind is under Rahu's influence, and Rahu is basically unconventional thinking. So mind is in overdrive. It can be people with Moon close to Rahu tend to be very anxious, very nervous. There is a high level of Vata inside their body. Whichever house. If he's in the second house, put more effort in your family matters, wealth, speech, etc. But it is, it is also 50% of the results also depend on the dasha, the, the conjunction, various factors, various factors.

If Sun is with Rahu, you worship Brihaspati Graha. So you can worship directly Jupiter as a planet, or you can worship any Guru Devatas who are like teacher figures, like Dattatreya, Dakshinamurthy, etc. So that is, that is, that is very helpful if your Sun is with Rahu.
And finally, if Mars is with Rahu. Mars is your your energy to do things, your initiative, your parakrama, the fire in the belly. And when that is basically overdriven by the unconventional energy of Rahu, it is basically not a good combination. It is...

So, and one famous example of Rahu in the 12th house is Swami Vivekananda. He had Dhul lagna, and he had Rahu in the 12th house. And in this case, Rahu is the third lord. So third lord of initiative and parakrama. His parakrama is towards the 12th house. So he was, he was very passionate about his detachment. But at the same time, he, he, he went around asking various gurus about God and how to basically be with God. And finally, he found Ramakrishna. And he traveled abroad too, because of Rahu in the 12th house. He, he, he went abroad and he spent prime years of his life in UK and US. So that is another thing given by Rahu in the 12th house.
And one last and final example of Rahu in the 12th, a very unconventional example. As I said, Rahu in the 12th usually takes people to foreign lands and they settle down there. But what about somebody who goes to moon? Neil Armstrong had Rahu in, Rahu in 12th. [laughter] So he, he had a displacement not only within Earth, but he basically went, he left Earth. And he, he was the first man to land on moon. He had Rahu in the 12th house.
In general, Rahu in the 12th house will show foreign travels or some desire towards being free and liberation. So in general, these are...
What about Subhash Chandra Bose? Where was his Rahu?
I don't know if I have his chart. Let me quickly check. Um, MK Gandhi had, uh, where 10th house, I remember. 10th house we mentioned. Yeah, I don't have Subhash Chandra Bose's chart, sorry.
So, see, the thing is, it, I demonstrated in a few examples, it depends on which house Rahu is in, and also which sign it is in. See, Rahu is sixth in Vrishchika in Bill's chart worked in a particular way. In Meena, in Narendra Modi's chart, worked in a different way. So it depends on which rashi it is, and also it depends on which planets are conjunct or which planets are aspecting that Rahu. So there are a lot of factors.
And how much effort is being put on that is also, I think, important.
But Rahu shows where you, what you care about deeply, deep inside you, what you care about. So if you don't ignore it and you actually put effort in that area, it'll be beneficial to you. So don't be scared of Rahu. Rahu is just somebody who wants you to badly want something and get stuck in a cycle of but, but, death, but, death. So basically, he's the one who gets you stuck in the cycle of rebirths. But the thing is, he's not somebody to be scared of. He can give you excellent success. But what, what you need to do is put effort in the area that Rahu wants you to care about.
Effort in the area Rahu is situated in, third, sixth, eleventh, or whichever house.
Whichever house. If he's in the second house, put more effort in your family matters, wealth, speech, etc. But it is, it is also 50% of the results also depend on the dasha, the, the conjunction, various factors, various factors.
And another thing is, even if you suppose Rahu is terrible in your chart, one more last thing. The planets who are with Rahu, like, like I said, they are important. Particularly if Rahu is with Mars or Moon or Sun, be careful. Or Guru. Be careful because Jupiter is your wisdom, and Rahu is basically just breaking rules and doing whatever you want, deep desires. So wisdom and deep desires don't go together well. In other words, Jupiter and Rahu being together is like a priest being with a gunda. So that's not really a good [laughter] combination. So... Guru Chandal Yoga, I think that's Guru Chandal Yoga. So if you have Guru Chandal Yoga, it makes your Jupiter weak. In that case, chanting is a great idea. If you can chant Aditya Hrudayam three times every every morning, that is auspicious. So Sun worship, basically. If the priest is tucked with a gunda, Sun can come and rescue the priest. That is why you pray to Sun. Similarly, if Sun is afflicted by Rahu, it is like the king is ruined by a villain, a gunda. Then basically, if the, if the king is ruined by a villain, then basically you, you need the priest to do some puja for him and save him. So Guru, you worship Guru in that case. If Sun is with Rahu, you worship Brihaspati Graha. So you can worship directly Jupiter as a planet, or you can worship any Guru Devatas who are like teacher figures, like Dattatreya, Dakshinamurthy, etc. So that is, that is, that is very helpful if your Sun is with Rahu.
And finally, if Mars is with Rahu. Mars is your your energy to do things, your initiative, your parakrama, the fire in the belly. And when that is basically overdriven by the unconventional energy of Rahu, it is basically not a good combination. It is...
Murderers?
Yeah, it can be somebody who's very aggressive, not necessarily murderers, people who are very aggressive and who can basically be very fierce and sometimes not care about rules and just break the rules in their short temper, that kind of people. So to control that Mars with Rahu, it is very good to worship Subrahmanya, Swami Kartikeya, the second son of Shiva and Parvati. So worship Kartikeya with any prayer. One simple prayer is Subrahmanya Ashtakam. It's a very powerful prayer. If you can worship Subramanya or Kartikeya or Skanda or Kumaraswami, that can be very beneficial for Mars with Rahu.
I have one question to ask. What if Rahu is combusted near Sun? Now who takes over? Rahu or Sun?
Rahu doesn't care. "Sun is with me. I'm combusted." He afflicts Sun. So if they're very close, it is Sun who suffers because of it. Atma, Atma Bala will suffer because of Rahu's energy. See, it's like eclipse. When Sun and Moon are with Rahu or Ketu, it is like your mind or your willpower, your soul are eclipsed. So that is why I said worshipping Guru is a good idea.
Similarly, if Moon is afflicted by Rahu, and basically mind is under Rahu's influence, and Rahu is basically unconventional thinking. So mind is in overdrive. It can be people with Moon close to Rahu tend to be very anxious, very nervous. There is a high level of Vata inside their body.
