Peter Jan versus Davidson Figuro has just wrapped up. Early on in this fight, we saw Figuro secure an early takedown, having a good start to the first round on Yan's back.
But then, Yan reverses position, gets on top of Figgy, and controls him, landing elbows to the knees and strikes to the head. From here on out, it's pretty much a striking battle mixed with a couple of takedowns, as Yan really started to break Figuro down with those leg kicks, stomping the knees, stomping the legs, and coming up high with the head kicks.
Figuro started a little bit slower in the second, third, and fourth rounds, but overall, Yan was too dynamic with his striking—the switching of stances, the kicks, the boxing. He was switched on this whole fight because he knew Figgy had that threat of the power.
But Figuro had his moments. He dropped Yan in that fourth round with the straight right hand and was going to the body with big looping hooks. However, overall, he didn't do too much damage to Yan, and it was a pretty dominant decision victory for Peter Jan, who gets the win by unanimous decision, 50-45—a shutout for him.
