Foot washing and laying on of hands with Lee Morris

Nehemiah Abilene1:20

Transcription

So the laying on of hands is foundational. This, what I'm about to do, it just shows you what a leader is. That's it. It's literally showing you like if you want to lead your family, you got to do this every day. Not physically, but I'm metaphorically. You got to be willing to get down on your hands and knees lower than anyone else, not deserving anyone's respect or anyone's honor, but knowing that you're there to serve them in the lowest and greatest level so that you can build your family up.

In the word, it says that you can get a gift by impartation and laying on of hands. Everybody put your hands out. If you want a gift, I'm just going to encourage you by faith. Put your hands out in front of you.

Father God, we trust you and we love you. We welcome you, Holy Spirit, in this room. We surrender to you. We surrender to you as our Lord and our Savior, God. Father God, we believe that you want to give us good gifts, not for our own sake, Lord God, but for our sake as a people together so that we can build each other up and have unity of faith. Father God, we welcome you and we thank you for good gifts. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
