Nothing beats gouacha for immediate results. I'm getting ready to go out tonight, so of course I have to do my gouacha routine with my True Edge Gouacha tool. And I'm going to show you exactly how I do it. Go step by step so you can get amazing results at home as well.

So I'm going to start out with a moisturizing toner. This is really key because I'm prepping my skin to be nice and plump and dewy. So yes, you can use oil, but I really like using a moisturizing toner because it's going to hydrate the cells on a deeper level. I take a few drops and then I'm going to add in pure glycerin. Super simple skin ingredient and it's really good for calming down irritation. So, you don't have to have an exact ratio. Just kind of do what feels right and you'll get a feel for it and you'll know how much you need. And then at the end, all I have to do is splash my face with water and pat dry and it leaves the perfect canvas for makeup.

So, I'm going to take my tool. I'm actually going to start at my chest. I'm going to open up this front fascia line. very influential over the face. I like to hold on the opposite side as I come across and you can do this as long as feels good for all of these movements. Yes, I could give you an exact number of times to do it and I sometimes do that in my videos, but I am a big believer in feeling your body and feeling what it needs. And so you can do it as long as you want as long as you have no pain, no soreness.

So then we're going to work on the back of the neck. You just take the tool, if you're using the true edge tool, you just take it on the back of the neck with the comb edge running up the back and again really feel into your body because this also will help you correct asymmetries in your face. So if you notice that one side feels tighter than the other, you're like, "Oo, that one really kind of took my breath away. It's really tense. It's a little more resistant." then spend some more time on it because all of these muscles, these fascial lines, connective tissue lines directly influence the face. So the back of the neck is really deeply tied to our eyes and our forehead.

Next, we're going to go up the neck, running along the SCM muscle. So I'm running up the neck. I'm following the contour, the shape of that muscle. And on me, I tend to get sore right here. I know if I do a lot of computer work, I'm going to be holding tension there. So find that and take the tool and just spend a little bit of extra time there. You can also lean the head over and that is really helpful. So doing all this first before we work on the face is really going to amp up the results of working on the face. All of these surrounding areas are very influential over the face. Like I said, the face is not an island. So trust me, this is going to amp up your results significantly.

So then we're going to take the tool and we're going to angle it underneath the jawline and then come back around the ear and down. So maybe some of you are wondering why did she go up the neck? We should never go up. We should always direct the fluid out and down. But gouacha doesn't really work that way. We're not just squeezing fluids all around in our body. We're essentially following the natural tissue lines, the langers lines in order to create flow and balance. That is what we are doing here. It's all about restoring balance in the body. So following these lines with the gentle stimulation of the tool, the unique scraping motion of a tool, that is what is going to get you results from restoring that flow.

So we were here and now we'll go here on the jawbone itself. And we come back and we vibrate into the back behind be behind here. This is the jaw divot area. And a lot of people hold tension there. Lymph fluid, puffiness. It gets very sore if you have a lot of jaw tension. If you deal with TMJD issues, it may take your breath away. Just go easy, go gentle, and it'll get better over time. Then I flip my stone up like this. So I was like this, and then I go here. And I'm working on the jaw muscles a bit more. Still working on the jaw line and we still can vibrate in at the back. And why do we do that? Why do we vibrate in at the edges? I almost always teach that for most moves. It is because this tissue out here is thicker. It's more like layered sheets of fascia and connective tissue interwoven with the skin with the muscle layers. So vibration is a very great way to encourage it to gently release.

I also love to plump the lips before I go anywhere. It's just like instantly making everything look so much more alive and plump. And you go all around the border. If you have lip filler, you can still do this. It is safe to do it because we're working on the border. And even if you have lip filler, these muscles can come in and get really tight and change the shape of your lips and the way that you come off and the way that you express and speak. I mean, you can see it as I'm doing it, right? So lip filler will not compensate for that. The lip filler is actually going to lay better, lay more beautifully if you release the tension around the mouth. You also can take the precision point tip and you'll feel how you scrub across those muscles the same way, releasing that tension.

Then we come like this. We're going to take the convex side and we're going to go across the entire lower portion of the face. And again, you can even scrub back here. You can vibrate in place or you can scrub with the comb edge. That tissue is thicker than the face, than the center of the face. So, it needs just a little bit of extra encouragement to let go. And it's really effective. This area of our face that wraps around almost like my towel. Like imagine my towel came all the way around here and down here too, like you had on like a hoodie sweatshirt. All of that connective tissue is very influential over the face. It forms the structure of how these softer, more interwoven tissues in the center of the face lay and hold.

So then we go here. We're going to turn it like this so that we can contour the cheekbone perfectly. I love this one. It's kind of surprising how much tension you can have along this line, even out into the edges of the cheekbone because like I said, we're getting into that thicker tissue. So, this feels really incredible and it's so good for just lifting the whole face, improving your facial contours and getting that natural lift of the soft tissues along the cheekbone. And you can vibrate in there as well. Just encourage it to let go.

And then we take our same side and we're going to go up under the eyes a little bit more. And you're actually going to come in because there is a drainage point here. So, if you struggle with under eye puffiness, this is key. Going nice and slow in under the eyes is going to be so so helpful for you. And then I even like to vibrate right here because once we gather up that fluid, like imagine and almost feel that you're gathering up that fluid gently. We still have glide on. then we're kind of encouraging it to let go and to go back into the system with that vibrational movement. So again, gouacha is all about flow. Same principle applies here. The under eyes, it's a very stagnant, thin area. There's not a ton of circulation to it in comparison to the rest of the face. So we really have to encourage that circulation externally. And this is wonderful for doing that. Nothing beats a gouacha for encouraging microirculation and stimulation of fluids in that way.

I'm going to take now my divoted end, multi-purpose divoted end. I love it for the jawline and for the brows. So, we're going to place it here. And then we're going to scoop it under the brow a bit. Really target those muscles that pull our eyes in, make our eyes look angry, smaller, more closed off, and open them back up again. So [clears throat] tonight I'm going to meet some people, meet up with some friends. I'm going with my husband. So I want to feel lifted, alive, awake, expressive. That is what this is about, too. It's not just about looking good. Looking good also reflects our inner well-being.

So see there, I kind of tugged my skin a little bit. It's okay if you do that every now and then on accident. I was talking a little too much and I wasn't paying attention. But you really don't want to fold over the eye skin. So take off your pressure a bit and also hold the angle so that you do not get that folding of the eye skin. And just work those structures underneath. We're always using medium pressure, but we can go a little lighter on the eyes and be gentle and be loving to your face.

Okay. Our small comb edge is wonderful for brow tension. So today I've spent a lot of time working, concentrating, thinking. All that tension starts building up here. See, I didn't even go all the way there. And it still is going to change the shape of your face when you're constantly holding that little bit of tension that you don't even notice during the day perhaps. So we scrub that out. We let it go. Can also be from anger, from frustration. that's also going to activate the corrugator and all of these little muscles here that are quite thin and flat. So, the comb edge really works them super effectively because they are so thin and flat. So, we scrub across and we encourage those muscle fibers to let go with the precision beveled edge of this tool. If you can tell, it is really beveled well. It's not thick and chunky like a lot of cheap tools. So, that really helps too.

And now I'll go across my forehead. I'm going to sweep out first just across those frontalus muscles. And then we'll kind of go up and out because that's what we're always trying to achieve is the V-shaped facial posture where you imagine the face pulling out up and open. So we release the muscle first by coming across and then we can redirect redirect the muscle direction because you can activate the whole forehead like this or you can just activate the outer edges of the frontalus in a really subtle way and that is going to give you like a natural lift in your eyes and brows. It's incredible. So we encourage that with the stimulation of the tool and it is perfectly contoured to fit along the forehead. I specifically designed it to be multi-purpose in this way and to fit the different parts of our faces.

And now to cap it off, a bonus move. We're going to scrub all along the hairline because as I was saying, all of this thick tissue on the edges, oh my gosh, like I can feel so much tension there. So, it's something that you have to reset all the time. It's super influential over your face. It's what can make your face look pushed down, compressed. So freeing all this up allows everything to lift out up open and even back. Even when we worked on the back of the neck, that's partly so that tissue compression is not there anymore. So everything can flow because this is all kind of like a connected piece. So we scrub along. If it feels better, you can use the smaller comb edge. If you have a tool without a comb edge, everything that I've showed in this video, you can still use one of your other edges for, but a comb edge really makes a difference. And once you try it, once you feel it, once you feel the difference, you will know what I mean.

If you want to grab this tool, I have it linked for you. I would love for you to try it out. I would love your feedback. And it comes with a free guided 9-minute routine. And if you leave us a review, you get extra bonus tips. how to use it on other parts of the body, how to target things like jaw tension, tension in the brows, and how to really amp up your gouacha practice.
