A non-Christian approach to ethics will collect and analyze human opinions about morally right and wrong decisions and try to reason to some conclusions, but a Christian approach takes into account God and the Bible.
We believe, as Christians, that God is in charge of the universe; he is the one who is sovereign over our lives, and he has the authority to tell us what is right and wrong. And so a Christian approach to ethics takes into account God, in his presence, but also his words to us in the Bible, because there he has told us about ethical decisions, about moral right and wrong. And so a Christian approach to ethics comes with the authority of God, rather than just merely human opinion.
In addition, a Christian approach to ethics realizes that it isn't just words from God and then we obey them. It's also, in daily activities, we are to live our lives in the presence of God, aware of his presence with us and aware that we are accountable to him, and we should seek to please him in all that we do day by day. That's a completely different concept than a secular approach to ethics.
