Chapter 27: A Gift from the Car
I had been fixing up my massage room and trying to tweak things up within my professional budget. Things like sheets, towels, and other various items for my work. I've always worked off of a list, and I got what I really wanted and needed, acquiring them a little bit at a time. I was never big on incurring much debt, and I learned to have patience from that rather tedious, conservative business practice of saving up for what you need. My biggest wish was to put a pretty white cotton lace twin bedspread on the top of the massage table and really dress it up. It was on the top of the list; it was also the most expensive, but it was definitely first on the list in that segment of time.
A movie came to the Belcourt Theater in Nashville. My daughter invited me to go with her as she thought the movie was important to us since we lived in the woods amidst a large galaxy of ticks. It was about Lyme disease. She felt any person who had lived in the woods, especially for 10 or 20 years, ought to see it. I consented to the trip to town, and when we got there, she saw an old friend of hers I did not know, and she had not seen for years, and she introduced us. She was a lovely person, and when she found out I was a massage therapist, she squealed with delight and said she would come out soon for bodywork, and we exchanged phone numbers. None of us had the opportunity to really speak during the movie, and we went our own ways.
Several weeks later, she indeed did call me and came for bodywork. I helped her best I could with some of her challenges and health issues, and when she left, she hugged me heartfully and walked out to her car to say goodbye. It was an old hatchback wagon of some sort, and it looked completely full of things that probably were going to the Goodwill, I figured, as I glanced at it. Things were piled up to the ceiling in there and looked a bit haphazardly pitched in. She had no idea about my massage room renovation or my wish list, nor did my daughter. But as she was about to get in the car, she hollered over to me, "Oh, oh wait, I have something that I think is yours." I responded with something like, "Why would you say that?" She said she just received the message as she got in the car that she was to give me this item. She got out of the car and opened the hatchback and produced this bundle. It was a beautiful white cotton twin bedspread with a layer of lace on one side. It had two matching pillow shams, and it was in perfect condition. I asked her again if she was sure, and she said, "This is for you; it is supposed to be for you."
When I was excited and asked her how she knew, she said she simply didn't. It was some linens she was taking to the Goodwill. It is fun how other people can have their own antenna up, and as we surprisingly share the momentary same frequency, it then becomes so much fun. It's as if we are learning a whole new language in this vibrant era on earth. It's the most entertaining thing I ever do. It is truly the most generous and exciting thing that God and his team do for me. The last secret to manifesting is to live with a total and deep gratitude. My gratitude is never ever ending. What I want to make sure I keep teaching now is that we can all do it with love and gratitude for everything. All that we want and need will come to us and must come to us. It is the physics of the universe and the energy of God brought down to others who are also listening. I call it the God station. We can surely tune it in, all of us. If you don't believe it, try it for a while; you will know. Make a list of what you prefer and don't think for a moment of what you don't want. Focus on what you need and want. Have fun with it. Do not be desperate. Let this be exciting. Keep in mind this is not about being materialistic; the more you have, the more you can share with others. Again, as you declare what you want, cease thinking of what you do not have or do not want, and your desires will be granted very quickly. What an amazing thing this is that we can share together this beautiful thing called an abundant life. The beautiful spread is still on my massage table.
