An inexpensive dietary supplement that reverses aging. By age forty, women have already lost over ten percent of their muscle mass. By age sixty, that number rises to thirty percent. This is the chart that matters to us. Review it below, it's age in years. And on the left side there is muscle loss since age thirty, but I want you to pay attention to this here. Sixty-five years old, look at the age down there and you can see the amount of muscle loss. And this is exactly what we are talking about today. The implications for your face and body are huge and immense. And here's the shocking part. Most women don't even realize what's happening. Your doctor won't tell you this either. It's too late. Weakness, sagging skin, slowed metabolism. All of this is linked to muscle loss, but over my many years of practice, I have found a simple, inexpensive supplement that works every time to halt the decline. It's incredibly consistent. One that many women miss out on. It's like secretly loving reality TV. No one talks about it, but everyone's on it. In this case, Hollywood, but probably not you. Not today. Let's talk about exactly how to take it, the dosage, the timing, and the most important element you need to know to get the most benefits for next to nothing. Let's talk about creatine. It's inexpensive. Now I bet you've heard of it, right? But are you on it? And I bet you, I bet you've been told it's not. Simple. Well, it is. I'm going to debunk today because it's misunderstood like a cat brought to a dog park. Completely out of place and a little bit terrifying. And in this case, terrified because of myths. Your time is precious, so here we go. Women especially listen up today. Women have only ten percent of the creatine. Men do. Women have the biggest gains here, but most men do. If there's a man in your house, look around. There's probably creatine somewhere. And you can take the exact same thing, if it's the exact same thing I'm going to tell you about. Yes, you heard me correctly. Women have ninety percent less creatine than men. And vegetarians even less. Because creatine is naturally found where? In meat and fish, but this is where the magic happens. There's something more important. You see that women's creatine levels fluctuate throughout their menstrual cycle. Nobody even talks about that. I don't hear anyone talking about that, but yes, estrogen affects creatine and creatine kinase levels. So you've probably already made the connection here. Have you thought about this, who benefits the most? Yes, you got it. I'm proud of you. Post-menopausal women and peri-menopausal, forty and up, significantly. And nobody tells them. But first, we need to bust the biggest myth that I know you believe to be true. And here's a huge one. No, you don't need to look like this if you take creatine. Quite the opposite. You, if you don't take it, you're actually at risk of looking like this, it's called sarcopenic. Sarcopenia. Have you heard of it? We'll talk about that in a moment, but I bet many of you will believe the myths that I'm about to tell you are true as well. Wrong. And at whose expense? Yours. So, if you think creatine is just for men, your assumption couldn't be further from the truth. It's like thinking diet soda cancels out a double cheeseburger. It's insane. So think about this. We lose muscle as we age. You lose muscle. Now, something called muscle atrophy. If we were to regain that muscle back, what would we see? Well, younger looking, increased volume, you'd say, yeah, well, you know, fat and bone are important in the face and body to look younger, a certain amount of fat. But the truth is, you also gain back moist hormones because muscle helps produce hormones. Now, at this moment, you're asking the natural question, why on earth would you ever slow down and shrink muscle? Botox. That's what people do. They reduce muscle movement in their faces by injecting Botox to look younger to stop dynamic wrinkles. But now you know why when people use Botox in their face, they lose a lot of muscle. They look so old. And so the same thing happens on the body in that natural process of muscle atrophy. And you also now know why. Facial exercises. Sometimes they look younger by exercising the muscles and building strength in the face. I of course love Gua Sha more, but that's a video for another day. And I even have a free course on Gua Sha. Some of you have taken it, but I'll put a link to it in the comments. I'll pin it to the top. So if you want to take that again, it's free. You don't have to buy anything. And yes, you might say, well, that's just the face, but. You know, people do Botox in the body contouring conversations or Barbie Botox here, the trapezius. And of course many people use it in the calf area to shrink their overdeveloped or what they feel is overdeveloped calf, connect the dots. We want muscle. Let's talk about muscle atrophy. We also need to touch on sarcopenic obesity. That is muscle loss, but weight gain. Not good. Some of you may be sitting there noticing exactly muscle loss, but gaining fat weight and that leads to a doubling of age-related muscle loss. And it's not what we're striving for. So think about creatine. It's particularly good for this problem. Myth number one. It's a steroid. Many of you might think it's a steroid. Remember Ben Johnson. I'm Canadian. Of course, I remember him getting. He actually won the gold medal, but it was taken away from him because his test came back positive for steroids. Well, creatine is not that, but it's a classic myth. It's not an anabolic steroid. Steroids are synthetic versions of testosterone. Creatine, on the other hand, is a natural substance found in your body. It's there right now. And it's also found in foods like meat and fish. So no, it's not going to give you a muscle-like physique. Or get you banned from competition. This myth is as real as a Hollywood actress's quote about natural lips. They're not. In my opinion, creatine is the number one supplement in Hollywood. In fact, many of you think it's Ozempic and maybe it was, but in reality most of them are taking creatine, they're not telling us and all of our concierge staff patients. They're all on creatine, and I've put them all on it, but unlike lip filler, it's not synthetic. It's natural. It's in your body right now in your muscles, as well as smaller amounts will be found in the brain, liver, and kidneys. In fact, what does your brain use a lot of? Energy, correct ATP. And that's what creatine boosts. It helps convert DP to TP just like your red light mask your LED face mask does. And the good news here is that creatine supplements have been shown to boost brain creatine. And thus many studies are now also looking at this supplement for boosting brain performance. And to be honest, it looks very promising from all the data that I'm reading. Okay. Let me flip this scenario for a second. Here's the chart you need to study your natural muscle mass over time. If you do nothing about it, you see where it goes. There's something amazing about your body: it synthesizes or manufactures and uses its entire body weight in ATP every single day. You lose energy faster than an ice cream cone on a summer sidewalk. But creatine helps to replenish ATP stores. And this allows your muscles and your brain to operate like high-performance machines. That's what I want for you. Brain fog and memory lapses. We talked about what's associated with menopause and peri-menopause. Yes. So you got it. It's closely linked to menopause. The brain goes offline and memory and mood change. So remember what I said, this is an important video for women. Now you see. Myth number two, people think it's just for men. Contrary to popular belief, creatine is not just for men. Studies show that women who take creatine experience similar benefits. Strength gains, increased energy, improved recovery. And I think my patients are who I see the most. They recover faster which allows you to maintain and keep going. Who among us wouldn't want to recover better and sleep better? Whether you're lifting weights or just living life, every woman can benefit from an extra boost of energy. I will say there is no doubt that those who exercise better. And yes, you'll ask, what about walking? I walk, and I know ninety percent of you walk. It's important, but weightlifting builds more muscle and more youth. More bone, more hormones. Myth number three, it causes kidney damage. And I think this is the main reason why a lot of men don't take it. And this is where fear-mongering started. One case in 1998 blamed creatine for kidney failure. However, this person already had pre-existing kidney disease and was consuming massive doses of creatine. And that's why it made headlines. However, decades of research since then, and there are at least five studies that I've looked at for this video, have proven that creatine is safe for healthy kidneys. The other reason this gets associated with kidney dysfunction is that creatinine is something we measure in your blood. BUN. And creatinine is something we regularly measure to look at kidney function supplements in people. It boosts the creatinine level that is measured for kidney function, but this is not a sign of kidney dysfunction, it's a sign that you are taking creatine. And when you stop taking creatine, your blood creatinine level drops. So it's not kidney damage. It's that you're taking it. With that said, I think if you have kidney disease, of course, always consult your doctor. Now before we continue, I know the first questions running through your guys' minds because you're on this channel. Does creatine directly make you look younger? And by the way, if you like this information, please like and subscribe. There's nothing to buy here. I'm giving you the information. So please hit the like and subscribe button and share this with your friends, especially your female friends. I've now talked about facial volume, but your skin relies on the same ATP energy that creatine helps to boost in your muscles. That's why, and what red light does in your mask. And that's why many of you are undergoing red light therapy, using panels. Many of you have a red light mask, which has red and near-infrared. That's what this mask does. This is one of the main mechanisms of action, increasing your ATP or energy for your fibroblasts. And of course they produce your collagen and. Elastin. And that gives you bounce. I found a study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology that a cream, which was in cream form, rich in folic acid and creatine, significantly improved skin firmness in mature skin. Now today we're talking systemically. Uh, uh, taking it systemically by ingesting it, which I'll get into the details of in a moment. But as you can see, this gives us a window into what it can do for your skin. Remember, I see real patients in real life. I put them on this supplement. I can tell you women about creatine, especially combining it with red light and especially those who are also exercising. They look significantly younger. It's just a fact. I see it. I'm not just a YouTuber looking at studies and giving you information. This is what I do. Now, myth number four, and I think this is noteworthy because this is why some people shy away from it, and that's water retention. And this is a long-standing myth, but it's partially true. Creatine will cause some water retention for many people. Initially, but here's the twist. The water goes into your muscles, not under your skin. So, if anything, you'll look more toned, not puffy. A smaller volume face looks younger. You guys know this is why many people take my volume-filling cream. Um, because they want a little bit of volume in their faces. Take away some of those wrinkles. And this is why lean people, especially they like to gain a little bit of weight sometimes on their bodies to fill out their faces, especially after forty or fifty because they're losing some bone. And the good news here is that the excess water that you get from creatine usually passes through the second or third week. Usually, if you stop it for a while, I go back on it, I gain about three pounds and I'm usually 175, 178 pounds. I like the weight gain that you get initially, it's a little bit like biting into an oatmeal cookie when you're expecting a chocolate chip cookie. It's a little disappointing at first, but it's not the end of the world. Myth number five, it causes baldness. And especially women, when they hear this, because they don't like it. They don't take it. It's because they've started to lose some hair. In their hairline and hair and hair. Estrogen exactly when they need to team up. Creatine has never been proven to have a direct link to hair loss or baldness. People measure DHT, which is a hormone linked to testosterone and hair loss. While there is some meager evidence, uh, initially creatine might increase DHT slightly, it has now been debunked. It was from one study done on rugby players. It was a small study. It was about 18 or 22 people or so. And they did slightly increase DHT levels, but it was within variance. It wasn't a lot. And it was a small study, but this study has not been replicated again. So, and I've never seen in clinical practice hair loss due to creatine. Myth number six, it's only valid when you're young. And one of the most common questions you guys ask me in the comments is, but doctor, is this good for a seventy-year-old? Is it good for a sixty-year-old? Like things like PRF. Things like Sculptra and biostimulators and even skin creams that I might get. Is it good for a seventy-year-old? Nothing magical happens when you turn seventy. And in fact, you need it more at seventy than you do at thirty. So, yes, it works with a seven-year-old, but of course, everything takes more work. The older we get, don't I know that now. Let me take you to exactly what you should buy. Here's the juice you want to look for. Creatine monohydrate. This is the most researched and effective form. The only one I want you to take. So that's creatine monohydrate. Now the dosage. This can be a little tricky. Um, I don't load. And that means you take more in the first week. Twenty grams, uh, a day for the first week would be a loading dose, then three to five grams a day after that. I don't do that, and there are several reasons. Uh, I just say, start with three to five grams a day. And that is the appropriate dose for anyone. If you're really pushing yourself and you're exercising or you have an event, you're a triathlete or you are. You have an athletic event that you're doing, not an event you're watching, but an event you're doing, you might want to increase your dose slightly, because it will help your recovery. The problem is people take too high a dose and then they increase it, they'll have more water retention, or they'll have stomach upset. So if you have a little bit of stomach upset from it, you want to take a smaller dose. Take it also with food. If it bothers your stomach. Now, an important side here, where is most of the muscle in your body? It's in your legs. And that's why walking is a foundational exercise. But now you might want to know the most important of these. Top three exercises for women to build bone and look younger, you want to watch this video here. Keep your skin and body beautiful, healthy, and vibrant.
