Welcome back everyone to the Trilogy Funds 2025 Australian Pickle Ball Championships. Dylan Kimlin, Coco Loko in the booth for you as we get ready for our next match up here.

>> Oh wow.

>> Oh, swinging a miss.

>> Split the middle. Now, an Birchite, the captain of the Western Vipers Masters side, >> closest to screen, guys, in the black.

>> Yep. She uh >> got bronze at last year's APC.

>> Wow.

>> 2024 events for the gender doubles. Fourth in mix.

>> What a shot from Cooper. To me, obviously his left side unless Shaden really Oh, that's a good shot. Jeremy with a lightning bolt down the left.

>> Pearson pierces that ball.

>> Oh, there you go.

>> Look at me go. The dad jokes. Gosh, I've been hanging out with you too long.

>> Oh.

>> Oh. Again. Threads a needle.

>> Oh.

>> Oh, he was lucky to get away with that gangster move. Pearson. We were talking about that earlier. He looks a bit like a gangster. He's got his son in his in his bling on big and he's in black.

>> Yep. Again, >> I had the pleasure of calling him in the NZ Open last weekend. Jeremy Pearson, he is a very solid hitter of the ball.

>> 100%.

>> He was in fine form, too.

>> Mhm. You've also got to remember, I mean, Pearson's forehand's metal, >> so you've got to be very careful hitting that shot right there to him.

>> Now, if you was the winner of this, we'll go through to take on the number two seed in Terry Robson and Darren Gu.

>> I'd be returning down the line. Now if I'm Cooper. No, they're going to >> well played.

>> Nice rally.

>> Pearson's very agile. Doesn't mind joking around. No, but his paddle seems to be in the right position. He's always, you know, on the 80% chance >> the probability. He's always ready.

>> Get Pearson out of play for the moment. He's dictating a fair bit. They keep returning to him. I guess they're trying to stop him crashing [Music] >> and he was sitting there waiting for that. Not a good speed up. Pearson's just free swinging.

>> He's literally just loading up and having a go.

>> Two.

>> And again, well done.

>> Yep. playing big considering the power that Virtual Light also has.

>> Very strong in combination these two.

>> That's probably a third unforced error for the match. That's pretty good.

>> And someone needs to get this guy a seat.

>> Like look at him. He's everywhere. Shaden got away with it.

>> Yeah.

>> Swinging freely like you said. Pearson's not missing anything. He is I mean on court the way you get through him is you get a net cord.

>> Nice.

>> Beautiful backand roll.

>> Y loose a little. See what's uh see how it's all feeling. Oh. Oh, the shots.

>> Seconds over.

>> It's coming straight in behind Shaden who was hoping for a middle ball there.

>> Oh, lovely shot again.

>> I'm getting I'm getting them. Find his keepers.

>> Oh, well done Cooper. Second 622. [Music] Kiss's like, "I'm here."

>> Yeah,

>> I'm on. Hit me.

>> He's a little ball of energy.

>> Yeah, but Shaden's like, "Okay."

>> Yeah.

>> And he's trying it. Stop it.

>> Smart.

>> Oh, yep. Very clever. And a serve. Oh, Jeremy.

>> Oh, it's just it's like a basketball to him. He's reading it like

>> Yeah.

>> 932.

>> Oh.

>> Is she okay?

>> Yeah, she's okay.

>> She's got a big smile on her face. Match point. Game point. Here we go. has to go through to the next.

>> Oh, he wants it. Oh my goodness.

>> Jeremy Pearson can't be stopped.

>> Both he and an M will go through to take on the combination of Robson and Gu.

>> So, >> Coco, what was your take from this? How how did they win this match?

>> Look, I felt like they were a lot more aggressive through the middle. They were ready for all the speed ups. I mean, look at how good was that from Shaden getting that ball, getting another Oh, just missing that one.

>> Fair enough. They've been battling well and as such

>> Oh, that was a great shot, wasn't it? That was a beautiful backhand from

>> But uh

>> Oh,

>> viewers, our players are ready to go. Over the to you, Mr. Chad Edwards. Interviews with our winners.

>> Sorry. Angela Bertzite, Jeremy Pearson, a fantastic performance out there on the court. You're moving into the quarterfinals. What do you have to say about that one?

>> Oh, look, it's always good to get one under the belt. It's our first time we've played together. So, yeah, we're pretty happy.

>> I I'm actually quite surprised for you to say it's the first time you've played together. The the fluidity of your play out there, Jeremy, you're all over the court. Was it uh was it design plan for you to come in and be a little chaotic?

>> Uh I'm Captain Chaos. Uh I love uh I love to be aggressive to move in on the ball. I love hands battles. So I'm thinking, you know, bring it baby is kind of how I like to play.

>> So when you're playing with him, how do you know which way to move?

>> Yeah, it's a good question. I don't know the answer to that yet. Um, look, I'm just going to try and drop it and hope they pop something up. And then he's Captain Crazy there. So, yeah, leave it up to him to finish it off. If I can set it up, I'm happy happy with that role.
