Pluto shows what we get after partnership. It is what we get after what happens in the seventh house. Our attachments to early caregivers, or the basis for the values that we adopted at the Venusian second house level, the tourist level of development. And those values then become the people that we seek attachment to in the seventh house, the Libra house. The activities in the previous seven houses are reformulated in the eighth. Pluto is the active agent of reformulation in the birth chart.
Change. Pluto takes us to the edge of self-realization by giving rebirth to old values formed at both Venus stages of evolution. Our patterns that emerge at the first stage of human life are reorganized at the Pluto stage to further a fuller unfoldment in consciousness at the Jupiter stage. The tightly clenched fist of Pluto is encouraged to open by realizing that what we cling to is what we are enslaved by. Our Venusian values give rise to material attachment at the Pluto level. We regenerate at the Pluto stage. What we let go, we replace with another value at the Jupiter stage, one that reflects our burgeoning self-awareness. If we are choosing to evolve toward self-realization, we eliminate the old and acquire what reflects our new value.
Venus is the things we buy. Pluto is more like the *that* we buy. If you are owned by, then you will need to reevaluate what you buy, both from yourself and others. Our values and attractions can end up owning us. Our possessions can end up owning us. We establish at the Venus stage and we re-establish at the Pluto stage value and revalue. Buying with Venus and then taking stock to determine if what we bought was bogus or misvalued at Pluto and then letting it go or clinging and hoarding what is bogus or misvalued. We are both prone to buying BS with the devolving side of Pluto and prone to not buying BS with the evolving sight of Pluto. The difference is in the lies we tell ourselves, the fears we stoke to remain in control of our stockpile of crap.
Pluto comes after partnership is shown by Venus because he is the results of what we attract, what we value, what we seek self-esteem through. Attaching ourselves to Venus is both the opposing planet of Pluto, the duality of Pluto in the second house, and the previous planet to Pluto, the previous stage in the seventh house. The initial value we give to things and people is described by Venus at the second house level of evolution, becomes who and what we marry and partner ourselves with and identify ourselves with at the Venus and seventh house stage.
Pluto is the planet that reorients our preferences. The pain we receive is commensurate to the value we place on something or someone. What we value can change us. Pain changes us. We respond to pain. Venus is comfort and happiness. Pluto is pain and crisis. Pluto and Venus show the link between pleasure and pain. And Pluto points out that who and what we value and who and what we love can cause pain if not understood. Is the source of insecurity and conflict. Seeking security and material objects. Value in one thing over another that does not bring security and it creates conflict.
To stop destruction of old systems is required at the Pluto level before we move on to the Jupiter stage of evolution because at the Jupiter stage our beliefs can become either destructive and amplify human suffering or constructive and build human awareness. The type of inspiration we sell and buy depends on our Platonic honesty. Our deepest morality is reformed at the Pluto stage, goes on to become at the higher mind and the conscious morality, a shared morality at the Jupiter stage. Depending on our choices, our personal pain turns into either a societally constructive force or a societally destructive force. Our moral beliefs can either inspire others to self-realization or lead others to further imprisonment.
When a planet is aspected to Pluto, it is part of the transformative process. That planet will be the means to an end. We use any planet aspected to Pluto as a means to an end, both in the birth chart and in synastry. Our selfishness at the Venus level of human evolution provides us with the riches we dig up at the Pluto level of human evolution. Pluto is buried treasure. We can renew ourselves by digging up what we have hidden from ourselves, exposing what was kept from sight. Planets aspected to Pluto will be key in showing what avenues of self-expression will become richer if we are honest about what values we have formed as a result of that aspect, how that has informed our values, what our real motives are.
Pluto urges us to allow old values to die, old material forms to be given up rather than repossessed. Venus's possession, Pluto is repossession. It's how we repossess something. I let something go that has caused us a debt. Material debt is karmic debt. We eliminate our debt by either letting that possession go, reevaluating it, by refinancing it. What we possess with Venus will be repossessed by Pluto if that possession is inimical to our best interest.
At the Venus stage of human evolution, we determine something's of value based on its physical qualities, how it stimulates and pleases our senses. The feelers we put out into the world and Venus is like our insect antenna. Pluto is the stinger we use to stun and track prey that our antenna senses. A Venus makes us feel alive and Pluto wants to keep that sense in place so one survival is ensured. It wants to prolong. Pluto prolongs the sense of being alive as long as we are clinging to that sense, clinging to a feeling. Pluto is death due to keeping and life due to letting go.
At the Pluto stage of human evolution, we decide the truer value of a thing based on how alive it makes us feel. We re-decide how a value, a desire ensures our physical survival, how a possession ensures our physical survival. Intensity is a feeling generated by platonic desires. We seek intensity to feel the full force of life. And sex is going to be an intense experience also. It's found with Pluto. That's an affirmation of life. Life and death are both found with Pluto. The choice we make to either lighten our load by reevaluating our desires or the choice we make to enslave ourselves, they're buying more crap and result in our will to live or die. We buy both material crap and drama when we are making uninvolved plutonic purchases. We buy conspiracies, lies, manipulation, suspicions. We finance our fetishes, whatever furthers the values we give to our pain. We value drama and intensity above all other things because that's what makes us feel most alive. If we are dead inside, Pluto will create intensity in our external environment. If we have killed off inside of ourselves what is the most valuable life, which is represented by the Sun, we encounter the type of conflict that brings about deep changes through suffering.
At the Pluto level, we can heal by giving up that suffering. We have the opportunity to reject suffering or sink into it further. When we reach the Pluto stage of development, we are most attached to what makes us suffer more than anything. We do not want to give it up because we value it above all other things. And this is a truth we have to admit at the Pluto level. We have to admit when we have been a masochist. We have to tell ourselves the truth about our suffering. We have to tell ourselves the truth before we get to the Jupiter stage or we become or seek out corrupt teachers, sages, teachings. We corrupt the social system if we do not confront our own corruption at the Pluto level. We have to see it's the buried treasure that we can use to create real abundance rather than hoarding it selfishly. We have to see that we are a type of a golem himself, hoarding our pain and dedicating ourselves to it, obsessed with it. We desire it and we're protecting ourselves with our possessions, but they are also causing our pain. We're protecting ourselves with what we value, but it's also causing our pain. We can come to understand that addiction is being in love with our worst enemy. We are hurting ourselves by protecting ourselves. The protection is enabling the pain to persist.
Venus and Pluto combined to form a complex machine that is the mechanism for the initial creation of self-image at the Venus second house level and then the consequences for how that self-image interacts with partners and others at the Venus seventh house level. The focus of Pluto, the extreme focus to the point of obsession, is the results of the qualities of the attention we were paid by our caregivers at the second house stage of development, between zero and eighteen months old. The qualities of that early attention results in the quality of the partner attention we subsequently seek. The qualities we seek in others, our preferences for others reflects the values we gave to things based on how we were regarded, how we were valued by those who loved us or sometimes didn't. The attention we got and what our senses absorbed at the Venus second house level of development is what we seek at the Venus seventh house level of development and results in the consequences of how and who we prefer.
Pluto becomes unconscious karma we absorbed from birth to 18 months old. And this karma falls apart when we confront it. It gives up its treasure, which is wealth of spirit. The material security, this is the externalization of a wealthy spirit. We are rewarded with life security. What we hoard turns to cancer and eats away at us. We are betrayed by our own hoard until we mobilize it by expressing it, sharing it, or dematerialize it by letting it go. We could share our hoard or we can light a match. It's our choice.
If we're willing to confront the sources of our pain and stress and eliminate those from our lives, we can restore the human system and the societal system. Remember, Pluto is elimination. Pluto is the taxes and the expenses we all pay to cover others' pain. It's the underbelly of society. It's suffering. How do we all pay in to cover suffering? Accidents, uninsured medical needs, finance the crime, crime system. Pluto is cancer, crime, hoarding, obsession, addiction, crisis. And how we can use these things for regeneration. How we could achieve real power. The problem contains the solution. Pluto represents problems, but the problem contains the solution.
We emerge from the depths of hell and become re-inspired to live life positively at the Jupiter level. And we can inspire others, but not before our deepest morality is confronted. Those of us who do not get honest with ourselves, do not heal, Pluto will metastasize and cause an ever-growing problem. Pluto is healing through honest acceptance of lies. How we lie to ourselves, how we accept the lies of others. If we don't accept this, then we go on to the Jupiter level as a false teacher and believer of false teachings, a teacher or a student of suffering and intensity, one who desires to bring others to them and gain dominion over their morality, not to bring others to their own unique selves. The non-evolved human becomes a destructive power instead of an enlightening and enlightening power. We further karma that is cellular when we do not choose to allow our psyche to mutate old forms into new forms, simply by letting those old forms go when we see they cannot bring us security.
Pluto does represent death, but he has another side that is urging us toward birth. Pluto is both our personal hell and our salvation, our deliverance from our own darkness. We are both cast into hell and redeemed by our desire. Conflict is the essence of drama, and conflict is born out of a desiring of one thing and a shunning of another. Our reasons for what we desire hinge on the desiring of one thing, the shunning of another. The love of one and the hatred of the other is how Pluto shows us misery comes by conflict of desires. We, the object we crave with platonic lust and the object we despise with platonic hatred, are created by the Venusian principle of preferences. We are jealous of what we value. We're made insecure by what without, and we are enslaved by it until we transform ourselves through letting go of outdated principles of reason.
The Sun radiates his creativity, and it is the job of the rest of the planets to relay this warmth through each other. The will of the Sun is subverted at Pluto. Pluto has the ability to divert the Sun's purpose. Mythology teaches us that the Sun, Neptune, and Pluto all have equal dominion and strength. Pluto, both in mythology and astronomically, is so far away from the warmth of the Sun. And as Lord of the underworld, Lord of a cold, lonely outer place. If physically standing on Pluto, the Sun would be three times as bright as the full moon when viewed from the Earth. The Sun has three times the power of the full moon to deliver us from darkness. When the Sun's warming solar power is carried forth by Pluto's loyal tenderness, insight happens and epiphany occurs. We resurrect ourselves. We redeem ourselves through epiphany, that glorious moment when you suddenly understand.
