Sometimes a person sees things and denies himself, reaching the point where he thinks he's dreaming. Sometimes he believes this thing, but it's the wrong decision before he knows what will happen. My name is Abdullah, and I study at university. My story might be strange or somewhat imaginary. Perhaps to some, it might be a myth or a legendary story from a movie. I discovered that everyone in this world, if God grants them a long life, will experience things that seem like they're from a movie, and no one can believe them or be ashamed to tell them. On the day the weekend was approaching, exactly five years ago, the incident I will never forget, after which I lived with worries and psychological distress that only God knows, and sometimes I cry for no reason. I, along with some of my close university friends, decided to go somewhere far from Riyadh city to have fun and enjoy ourselves. I sat in the university cafe with my friends Salem, Yasser, Omar, and Mutab. Salem said, "Guys, what about our trip? What are you planning to do? Where are we going?" Everyone was looking at their phones and didn't pay attention to him. So, Salem continued, "Guys, you don't have to, just tell me where to go." I told him, "I don't know, but I'm thinking about the Empty Quarter for a week. We'll have meat and a jeep so we don't face problems in the desert." We all agreed on the Empty Quarter. I returned home on the last day of work, happy. I met my little sister. When I opened the door, she said, "God brought you. I beg you, we want to travel during the vacation. We want to travel and forget about school worries and change the atmosphere." I smiled and said, "Oh, my dear, I'm a hunter and a wanderer, and I have a desert trip this week." She said, "No, Sheikh. Since when? Since when do you love the desert, and when will you return?" I told her, "Five days, and maybe I'll leave tomorrow." She said, clicking her tongue, "Ugh, aren't you afraid of getting stranded in the desert and dying?" I told her, jokingly, "Okay, if we get stranded in the desert, I'll call you." I stayed up all night happy and couldn't sleep until after the Fajr prayer. I slept and woke up for the Friday prayer. My sleep was interrupted. After the Friday prayer, Salem called me and said, "Let's get ready. All the guys have prepared." I prepared my things and called my mother and father. My mother refused and said, "By God, my heart is not at ease." I told her, "Mom, this is my first time going to the desert. Don't you remember?" Suddenly, she said innocently, "What do you think, my son? You should seek guidance." I told her, "Mom, are you sure you're kidding me?" We talked for a while, and in the end, I'm going anyway. I prepared my things and left. I got in the car, which was a jeep, and there was a lot of luggage, including meat, ice, and all the trip supplies. I told them, "By God, guys, I'm so happy. I couldn't sleep from joy and I'm excited for the trip." Everyone was like me. It was a night and a weekend. Anyway, we left Riyadh around Maghrib prayer and I slept in the car. Store from the Store channel on YouTube. Oh, right. I woke up at 8 PM, still on the way, and everyone was asleep except Salem. I asked him and said, "Hey, boy, have we arrived yet?" He said, "Don't pretend you don't know where we're going. We're going to the Empty Quarter, and the Empty Quarter is not as close as you're imagining." I told him, "Anyway, I'll sleep and you continue until we reach your place." But suddenly, my father called and asked me, "How long will you stay in the desert?" Salem was listening to my father's voice and said in a low voice, "Tell him we'll stay until next Thursday, God willing." I told my father this and hung up the phone and went back to sleep. Suddenly, everyone woke up around 11 AM. I said, "Salem, we've been on the road for too long. It's my first time going to the desert and staying this long." He told me, "I think we've arrived." I told him, "You think so? You don't know where you're taking us, right, Salem?" After half an hour, we stopped in a place, and the story begins from this place. The place was something strange. A feeling of being in a strange place, but you don't know what's strange about it. It's all desert and the darkness of night. I told myself, "Abdullah, say peace be upon the Prophet. You're not a child, and you've been to the desert before, and there's nothing strange about this place." We sat in the place and started talking until it was time to sleep. Around midnight, tired from the journey and interrupted sleep, everyone spread their mattresses and lay down. An hour passed, and everyone was asleep except me. I was restless. I saw a very distant light, a very faint light. I was afraid I was hallucinating. I looked closely and confirmed it was a light moving at a very high speed, and it wasn't a car light. I was surprised because I was sure there were no people in this place, and also, no one moves that fast, and this place is very, very far from cities. The journey took about five to six hours on the desert road. Anyway, I covered myself and tried to sleep, and thank God I slept. We woke up in the morning and started setting up the tent and arranging things. Yasser said, "Guys, I'm going for a walk in the desert while you finish up this beautiful morning." Yasser left, and we waited for an hour, then two, until he returned and said, "By God, guys, I sat with a very strange old man, but his voice and face were terrifying. He said, 'Leave this area before I kill you.'" I told him, "Are you serious or joking?" He said, "By God, I'm not lying to you. The man seemed mentally disturbed, but I laughed at him until I said, 'Okay, let's go see him.'" We went to the place, Yasser and I, and he told me, "Man, he was here a moment ago. There was a man, and there were even footprints." I told him, "May God curse your pranks and lies, man. When will you grow up?" He laughed and said, "I know you won't believe me, but whatever. Let's go back." The first day passed well. We prayed Maghrib and were happy with our day. Yasser was distracted. I nudged him and said, "Yasser, what's wrong? You've been distracted all day. We're together." He said, "Man, the man I met had something strange about him. His voice changed, his words were strange. He was smiling horribly. His face gave me no comfort. I was torn between believing him or him continuing his prank on me." I ignored him, and we continued talking until 11 AM, and everyone went to their beds. I tossed and turned for half an hour, but suddenly Yasser came to me and said, "Abdullah, listen. You know me best. I told him, "What's wrong? You're terrified." He said, "Abdullah, I'm really not comfortable in this place at all." I told him, "Seek refuge in God from the accursed Satan. There's nothing to be afraid of. We're in the desert. Don't say things like that in front of Salem so he doesn't get upset. You know him." He said, "Abdullah, there's something strange about this place. By God, my body shivers for no reason." I calmed him down and tried to sleep. His words were on my mind, and I couldn't forget them. I woke up in the morning, the first person to get up to drink water before the guys. As I was going out, I was surprised by something. I found the tires of our car were flat. I was surprised and held my head, feeling pessimistic. I went to look at the guys, but wait, where is Mutab? Mutab is not in his bed. I woke Yasser up quietly, and he was terrified. I told him in a low voice, "Yasser, be calm. Mutab is not here." We moved quietly, following Mutab's tracks. But wait, I was shocked, a shock I've never experienced in my life. Mutab's tracks disappeared. Yasser looked at me, terrified, his eyes showing shock and fear. He asked me, "What's going on?" I told him, "Listen, everything is fine. The man is fine and will return. Don't overthink it." He said, "By God, I'm not staying here for a minute. Let's pack up and leave." I told him, "Wait, wait." He looked at me angrily and said, "What else do you want? Wait for what?" I told him, "The car. The car is flat." He fell silent and said nothing. We returned to the tent and woke up the guys. Everyone was shocked by Mutab's disappearance and even more shocked that the car was flat. We waited for an hour, two hours, three hours. Maghrib prayer came, and there was no sign of Mutab. The place had no phone signal. I controlled myself and prayed to God to relieve the worry. I couldn't comprehend what was happening at all. Everyone was pessimistic. I looked at them and said, "Guys, no pessimism. Come on, let's light a fire and sit down. Mutab will be fine, God willing. The earth is vast, and he will be fine, God willing." We sat down, and everyone was silent and surprised. Yasser was sitting alone. I went to him and said, "Yasser, don't be pessimistic. Come sit with us." He said, "How can I sit with you when my lifelong friend has disappeared like this? Leave me alone, Abdullah. I don't want to hear anything from you." I walked away from him and went and sat with the guys. Everyone was trying to find a signal on their phones, but there were no towers because we are in the Empty Quarter, and the Empty Quarter is completely devoid of towers. We remained silent for a long time until Salem said in a worried tone, "I'm going to sleep, guys. Do you want anything?" Everyone got up and made excuses that they wanted to sleep. I rested my head on the car tire, and everyone was lying down and tossing and turning. It was a moonlit night, and the moonlight illuminated the entire place. Store from the Store channel. I had my head down, and then I lifted my head. At that moment, I felt a strange sensation, and my hair stood on end. I don't know why. It was the moment I was most afraid in my life since I was born. I saw a body in the moonlight, close to our location, moving. It was a big shadow. I decided to close my eyes, even if it was next to the car tire. But suddenly, this body stopped without any sound. At that moment, it was the first time in my life I urinated from fear. I closed my eyes and couldn't open them from fear. But suddenly, I fainted. I woke up after an hour and woke Salem up. I told him what happened to me. He tried to calm me down and said, "Seek refuge in God. You're hallucinating." I told him, "By God, I'm not hallucinating. By God, I swear to you." He interrupted me with laughter from a distance. I said in a trembling and fearful voice, "Am I hallucinating? Did you hear that too?" I stayed awake all night and couldn't sleep, and Salem was with me. Despite the sleepiness in my eyes, I felt it was my last night alive from terror and fear. But suddenly, in the morning, there was wind and dust, and we didn't know where we were or what time it was. We got in the car. The guys continued sleeping. I woke them all up, and they were surprised. I told them what happened to me, and Salem was recounting it with me. Yasser said pessimistically, "Mutab still hasn't come back, and everything in this place is strange. I told you, Abdullah, this place is strange, and you didn't believe me." Hours of silence passed until Dhuhr prayer. We prayed, and after the prayer, I said, "Guys, let's change the tire." Salem said, "And if we fix one, how will we fix the second one?" And the rest. For the first time, I reached the extreme stages of despair in my life. There was no signal in the area, Mutab had been missing for a full day, and the tires were flat. The day passed in silence from everyone. We just prayed and returned to the car, ate, and were silent. Night came, and we got out of the car and sat without lighting a fire. We sat in the moonlight, and everyone was silent. I saw Yasser and Omar talking, but suddenly Salem called me in a low voice, looking behind him. I approached him and said, "Boy, what's wrong? What I'm going through is enough without any more trouble." Salem said, "Abdullah, there's a black figure that's been circling us for a quarter of an hour. Every now and then, I see it in a different place, and the last time I saw it was behind you, and the guys saw it too." His words were interrupted by children's laughter, which was close to our location. Salem said in a loud voice, "Guys, say Bismillah and get to the car." We were running to the car, and Salem was saying Bismillah loudly. The laughter got closer to him, and I felt it next to me, and we heard it everywhere. Nothing in this world scared us more than this place. We got in the car, and I screamed at Salem as if I were crying, "Start the car, move, come on, start the car, move, move!" The laughter increased to an unimaginable degree. Omar turned on the car's light and looked back, and that's when I saw Omar cry for the first time, putting his hand over his mouth in fear. I heard Salem talking without knowing what he was saying due to the intensity of the laughter. I put my head on the dashboard and kept repeating to myself, "There is no god but Allah, Allah is the greatest. In the name of Allah, in the name of Allah. There is no god but You. There is no god but Allah. There is no god but Allah. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. By the perfect words of Allah, from the evil of what He created." The sounds suddenly disappeared. I raised my head and in a low voice called out, "Salem? Salem?" He replied in a low voice, "Yes." I told him, "Start the car and go." He replied with apathy and fear, "The key is lost." I lowered my head, having lost hope. I told him, "Okay, turn on the car's light so we can see the tires. Maybe it fell on it." Salem turned on the light, but suddenly turned it off and put his hand over my mouth, saying in a trembling voice, "Abdullah, there are people sitting on our mattresses." Oh, my grief, the overflowing [Music] and the spring that quenches the thirsty souls. Here concludes the first part. The second part, God willing, you will know when it will be released if you come to me on Snapchat. God willing, I will mention when it will be released so you can get more excited. I love you all. See you soon, God willing. Peace be upon you. Silence your phone. Silence your phone. Apple, shiny. Down, falling down. London Bridge is falling down, my.
