I'm taking this card, putting it halfway through the deck so we know when we're in our halfway point. It's always a good visual indicator.

Good morning, Pacer. Good morning, everybody. All right, so I got 20 cards counted out here. I got the indicator card in the middle, so we know our halfway point. I'm timing our duration. Uh, I'm not going to time my duration. I'm just going to time how long each set takes us to do. 50 reps per set. And then I'm going to count our rest period. And I'm going to finetune this rest period. Right? I have to be able to have less and less and less rest progressively as we go forward.

All right. Hey, Daniel. What's up, guys? All right, let's go. Got to get my coffee in. All right, first card. See how long it takes us. Nagi Nego or hey Joe Joe from Japan welcome to the chat. Greetings everybody. All right let's see how long this first set takes us. Quarter rep range of motion. That wasn't so bad. 45 seconds. I could do better. Yeah, I can do better. Should be able to do better. Darn it. All right, that's the first card. We got to keep an eye on these cards. Make sure we flip them each time. You know what I mean? I think last time we let a few slide. We ended up doing it extras. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, I think the the main uh You know what? Whatever I was thinking about doesn't matter. We're coming up on that minute rest period, right? Got to pay attention to the clock. There we go. That's the minute. We we'll reset it. There we go. Time out. Our rest period. I lost count on that one. So, I did an extra 10. I could have did 60. I could have did 50. I don't know. Yeah, I'll be 44 this January. Boy, that pump is sick, huh? 50 reps a set. Yeah, that I mean it it's ridiculous. It hurts.

All right. So, let's not forget to flip the cards this time, right? Can't be doing that. Not when we're doing 50 reps a set. We can't forget to flip the card. Jeez. Le O. Greetings. Welcome to the chat, biz. All right, let's go. That's a minute 15 of a rest period. Yeah, that's a good pump. It's a good good pump. I like it. Busy Ditch says, "I'm only 61." Heck yeah, man. I can't wait to be 61. You know how jacked I'm going to be by then? I'm going to be crazy jacked. Yeah, it's all part of the process, right? Okay, now we're in this predicament again. Did we flip a card or didn't we? All right. Yeah, now it's time to flip a card. This is what I'm talking about, man. We can't be forgetting to flip a card. All right, we're coming coming up to uh minute and 15 second rest period. I like the way that felt. Try that again. Here we go. Minute duration. Oh, wait, wait, wait. Let's just see how long it takes us. Here we go. Yeah, buddy. I'll take it. Hey, what's up, Turd Cutter? Welcome to the chat. What time do I get up? I don't know. Usually Usually like 3:30. Okay. Flip a card, right? Flip a card. Don't forget to flip the card, man. I think I forgot it like three times yesterday. Jonathan says 5:50 a.m. over here. Yeah, it's probably something like that over here. Yeah, same same deal. 550. What's up, Sham? Myth ism says, "Hey man, you give me uh so much motivation every single time I join. I subbed. Thanks, man. Appreciate it. Ages ago, but I'm going to leave a like and get back to work. Stay strong." Hey, thanks, man. Appreciate the channel support. That was a minute 30 this time of rest. Appreciate you guys.

All right, let's see how long it takes us. Still out of 10. That one took us a whole minute. Yeah, Biz Bizzy says 61 years old woman just starting out. The best thing is how it's helped my sciatica pain after just a few days. Been going for a month. Busy getting busy. Yeah, you got to put the effort in, the time, and the effort to take care of yourself. You just feel a lot better if you stay in the motion. The body likes to be in motion. Yeah, just stay busy. I tell you what, when I got hit by a car physically, my body got hit by a car in 2001. At first, I babyed my myself, right? I babyed my back, my injury, right? And that was when I was in the most pain of my life. It was only once I started moving my body again that I felt good. I had to stay in motion ever since just to feel good. You know, the body in motion stays in motion, right? This is the longest rest period we had thus far and a minute 40. Here we go. Man, did we flip that card? See, this is where we're at. All right. Did we flip it or do we got to do another one? Right. Here we go. It all starts blending together. Right. We Flip this one. That was better. We did that set in 44 seconds. The added rest definitely um helped. Deep stretch. I like it. Yeah. There's there's three things in life out with I mean all my years of physical fitness has boiled down to three main things. one deep stretch. A deep fuller stretch, right? And then the sweet spot right here, right? To stay within the deepest stretch and the sweet spot. Quarter rep range of motion. Yep. Builds a better pump. I guess that's the two two most important things. The third one is just time. Time under tension and consistency. Yep. Minute 15. We're there again. Dang. You have asthma. Yeah. Me too. Me too. I I had a little puffer. you know, one of those uh albuterol puffers growing up. Yep. I kept that in my my pockets, you know. Boy, I was on a lot of things growing up. I had something for breathing, right? Had the abuterol, you know, I was allergic to everything. I might have missed a couple there. I better do a couple extra. Yeah. Got to be sure. Well, you know, like allergic to like cats, right? I like cats, but I can't like pet them and whatnot. Then I, you know, growing up as a kid, then I'd have like an asthma attack or something. Would you say recovery is important as the workout? um only depending upon your personal goals, right? Because endurance is totally different. You could do endurance stuff every day, but the rest of your day's got to like, you know, coincide with your habits, right? You can't be eating junk food and thinking you're going to be able to perform like this. You know, all that stuff will slow you down. Another minute 15 second duration rest period. You can work it out every day. Just depending on what your goal is, right? You'll get a little bit bigger if you take some more rest period in between. Awesome. Yeah.

How do I uh how did I get off all the downers? Yeah, I did it the hard way. I just stopped and I went through it. It was tough, but I did it. No, don't do the same as me. I'm just telling you how that was my experience. I'm sure there's a lot better ways to do it than the way that I did it. You know, my experience was, you know, I was uh being prescribed I was being prescribed methadone for a back injury that uh the car that struck me that we were talking about earlier, right? a car hit my body and uh they put me on methadone for the the the being in pain 24/7. All right. Um because that's just what it was. Yeah. And then um it turns out that the doctor that was prescribing it to me um unknowingly to me, you know, I thought, you know, just because you just cuz you go to a hospital, right, and you get you see a doctor and he prescribes you something doesn't mean it's on the up and up. The doctor could be doing something funny, some funny business in the background. And that was my case. He was prescribing everybody this methadone to get his patients hooked on it. And then he would say, "Oh, there's a problem with your insurance. You need a $100 co-ay cash every time you see me." So I just thought that's what it was. You know, the man in white was telling me the deal, so I believed him, right? but he was just getting everybody hooked on this methodone and he really wasn't logging nothing into the system and then I was a young man with a new back injury just thinking this guy's helping me you know but his his whole plan was to get everybody hooked. Um, it was a crazy situation. Really, uh, changed the direction of my life, you know, immediately. I forgot what we're doing here. Did we flip this card? I think we're in the process of doing that. Um, this is the longest rest period we had so far of 3 minutes. Yeah, buddy. That was nice. 47 seconds. Yeah, when it comes down to it, it's just a business, right? And we're the customer. It's their job to sell us something and make a profit, right? Just just just business. It's just business. We are participating, right? And we're participating. Yeah.

So, so, so let me let me continue the story. It doesn't stop there, right? So, I was a young man being prescribed these heavy duty uh narcotics by my doctor, right? and he and he's doing this illegally and um and uh during one of the uh office visits, he gives me a urine test, right? Gives me a urine test just to make sure I'm actually consuming these pills that he's prescribing me. And uh at the time he also found a little bit of this in the urine as well, right? And since he was already, you know, prescribing me this stuff illegally, he kind of just like got scared and then just cut me off cold turkey, which put me into a sixmonth um um detox, right, where I couldn't control my bowels and I couldn't stop throwing up for 6 months straight. Uh the first 3 weeks I didn't sleep a wink and my legs were kicking kicking like a fish out of the water. Um I had some pretty uh it was a pretty crazy experience. I had you know wi withered away down to 130 lbs. At times of uh severe uh dehydration, I would uh check myself into the emergency room to get an IV, some fluids in my body because, you know, I couldn't drink any water and I and I all I did is throw it back up and just, you know, it was it was crazy. It was the craziest 6 months of my life. Um, yeah. So, I would suggest a, you know, if you ever have to come off the stuff, don't do it by on your own. Um, do it with some help because people aren't meant to ever come off this stuff. I'm finding out. It's like one of those drugs when they put you on it, you're supposed to be on it forever, you know. But, um, it was the most painful thing I ever went through, you know. I had like outer body experiences, right? Like at the end of the three weeks where I didn't sleep a day, you know, I had this like outer body experience where I was looking down at myself lying there in the fetal position, you know, a shell of a man, right? I just let go of everything, right? And then I had this voice says, well, if if pain is your normality, right? Then embrace it. You are you are the pain. Right? If pain is your normality, embrace it. Right? I had that as an outer body experience. And then that that took me then I changed my thinking patterns. Like I think my brain got rewired that day at the end of the 3 weeks without sleep. Yeah. Yeah. It was pretty crazy, man. It was pretty crazy. I do not suggest um I don't suggest it. Yeah.

But I could hear this doctor, man. I could hear this guy, you know, talking his patients in on this, right? Cuz doctor offices, they're kind of like an echoey hallway. You could hear the guy talking next door, right? So, there was this patient in there before me, right? And I could hear the conversation clearly. It was it was a woman who would normally take uh a little painkiller, nothing fancy. And every once in a while when her back would be achy because she had a really big chest, right? So every once in a while when her back got too achy, she would take a painkiller from the doctor and she's been doing it that way for years and been fine. Right? But I heard this doctor's conversation with this woman as he's prescribing her this, you know, insane insane thing, right? This methadone. He's like, "Just try it for a month. If you don't like it, I put you back on the other stuff." How you going to try methadone for a month? How? How? And this dude was devious. He didn't care about my health. All he wanted was that $100 co-ay every month. You know, man, what a what a wild ride that was, let me tell you. Yeah. Right. So, that was, you know, I was a young man, not addicted to anything. I got hit by that car and that led me to the world of opiates, right? And then uh and then all of us, any of us guys that are around today, you guys seen the big opiate epidemic, man. All of our friends have passed away one way or another. Everybody was hooked on that for a minute. It was like it was being pushed, right? Some kind of loophole was being extorted. You know what I mean? Everybody was making bank. Yeah.

Listen guys, I I ain't I ain't no you know I've been around addiction a long time. I I've been there guys. And let me tell you at at any moment you want to change your life uh a better life awaits for you. 100% a better life awaits for you the moment you're ready. The moment you're ready because every moment is a brand new moment. You're not chained by the poor decisions of the past. Just cuz you've been going down that beaten road of poor decision doesn't mean you got to continue, right? You don't have to continue. You could do anything. You this could be you could talk to your talk about yourself from this day forward saying I used to be an addict, right? I used to be but today I'm in the process of being a better version of myself right with every choice that I make it is towards the better version of myself. You know what I mean? We could talk like that and just being the process right beyond that new path. All right. All right. Look at us guys. We we we can't get nothing done man. end up talking. Yeah. Only half reps. only more time under tension. All right. And this is the result. Dog did it. Heck yeah, dog. Yeah. Honestly, I don't know anybody who's come off of it personally. It was um it was a tough one. How long was I down for? Oh, just 6 and 1/2 years. Yeah, I don't take any juice. No TRT. And I I I take my uh supplements pretty half ass, you know. I could take them more um consistently bean town. In addiction, we all are in the mud. In desperation, oh yeah, to numb out the pain we continue. But we all can attain soiety, brother, if we humble ourselves. Yeah. I tell you what, I think I was at my most humbled point where where um you know, you got to hit rock bottom, you know, to build it back up cuz you got to you got to gut away that rotten, you know, you got to gut away everything. You got to gut away you got to build a solid foundation, that cornerstone. Yeah. Listen, when you're sick of being sick and tired, you know, you'll quit, 18 months over, Liam. Awesome, man. December will be uh two years for me on Christmas is when it'll be two years free from the drink. You know, I think everything, honestly, everything in my life, just everything in general, I think it could be categorized as an addiction, right? Like coffee can be an addiction. And I I would have to say I lean probably uh heavy towards it being an addiction rather than, you know, just consumption. You know, I think TV can be an addiction. I think phones can be addiction. I think, you know, I think everything, man, man, you know what? We done did it again. We We screwed up the workout. We've been talking and stuff. Tell you what, Ali Bird says, "26 years clean. Will never look back." Heck yeah. That's epic. You know, my dad was addicted to soda pop. Yeah, that's all he drank. No water. Maxi says, "Catch you later, guys. Awesome talk today." Thanks for that. Hey, thanks for being here, man. Appreciate you. I'm sorry, guys. I got all sorts of sidetracked with the workout and the conversations. Seems like we can't get through a workout without getting sidetracked. Tyrone says, "I I wish I was so rude, but I hate to be sick." Yeah. Yeah. You're So, it's like standing still, right? You're not progressing. You're just staying. You're you're working to feed the addiction and you can't go to work without the you know using right. Yep. I've been I spent years doing that. Right. Go to work just so you can get get it fixed, not to be sick. The endless cycle just standing still. Yeah. Well, tell you what, man. You're going to have to rip the band-aid off one of these days, right? I tell you what, when you're ready, a better life awaits for you. Yep. You'll be thankful that you took the time to put it behind you. Yep. Everybody in your life will benefit from you being clean and sober. You know, everybody will. You know, if you can't stay clean and sober for yourself, do it for them. Do it for your loved ones. You know, I know we're all told that we better have a higher power. Well, you know, doing it for the people around me and and not being selfish for my own needs and my own fixes, right? Tell you what, the whole time I was using that I was just selfish, right? That's really what it is. It's just me first. Just Man, we we done blew this workout up. I guess we'll try again next time, right? That's why we call it progression, right? This is our workout progression. I mean, listen, when it comes down I mean, comes down to it, you ain't sick and tired yet, right? You ain't I mean, you you're thinking about it, but truly, you ain't sick and tired. Cuz if you are truly sick and tired, that's a whole another animal you're dealing with right there. That's a focused animal that that takes no BS. You know what I mean? Yeah.

Tyler says honesty is the key, right? And you got to go through the hard part, man. Right. plan it out. Listen, and and and and if if any of you guys frequently visit AAS or NAS, you know, the most common question I hear from somebody who recently quit an addiction is when will I feel normal again? Right? That's the question people are like a month into it and they're still asking. When will I feel normal again? Well, welcome my friend. You're here, right? This is what normality feels like when you're not injecting things into yourself. You know what I mean? This is normality, right? We got to do things to feel right. You know, work out. Welcome aboard. When will I feel right? I hear that's what the one I I hear all the time. When the when am I going to feel normal again? Well, listen, dude. You haven't felt normal in years. And honestly, if I took a cup of coffee away from you now and you didn't have a cup of coffee for a week, you'd be left with your own feelings, right? Instead of that slightly stimulated version of yourself that is the only thing that you know, right? I mean, that's my case. If I didn't have coffee for a week, I'd be left with my own feelings. Now, that was a realization when I first got locked up. I'm like, whoa, why do I feel like this? I'm like, oh yeah, I didn't have coffee for a week. I guess this is how I'm supposed to feel, right? Boy, that was new to me. Tyler says $44.99 says you have to be selfless enough to address the self fish. Hey, thanks for the channel support. Yeah, I mean when you when we stop talking about me and I and you know and we start you know it's bigger than just me you know it's bigger than just me. If you if you're just going to be hiding hiding an addiction all the time, you're being selfish, right? And listen, just because you're getting a prescription doesn't mean you ain't an addict, right? A lot there's a lot of crookedness going on out here, right? There's things that loopholes that allow people to get their fixes, right? You just got to be real with yourself, guys. For real. You know, you can't [ __ ] a bullshitter, right? I've been there, man. I've done all this. You know, hopefully some of you are hearing me. And if if you guys have an addict in your life, like a loved one is an addict, you got to let them hit rock bottom. You helping them out with couple bucks here and a couple bucks there for gas money or groceries, it ain't going to none of that. Don't don't lie to yourself. they're they're getting high with it, you know, and you're contributing, right? The moment you step away and let them hit rock bottom and and actually change their life on their own, that's when you're going to see a better version of themsself appear. But they're not going to hit that rock bottom if you're cushioning the fall, you know. All right, guys. Peace. Thanks for being here. All right, I'll catch you on the next workout. Hey, check out my sucker-free store, guys. If you guys like to get a deck of cards or a resistance band, it really helps the channel. I appreciate all you guys being
