How to Actually Make Money with AI

If you want to use tools like Claude Code and Naden to actually make money with your AI agency, then it is extremely important that you understand the four sales funnels, the four different paths to actually landing clients.

Now, these four sales funnels are definitely not created equal. And of the four, I would really only suggest focusing on two of them.

Now, first one is your warm network. This is like friends, family, co-workers, people who actually know who you are. There's some trust already built in.

Number two is social media. Pretty self-explanatory. You go on social media, you tell people what you do and you get inbound leads that way.

Number three is cold email. So large scale cold email campaigns where you email thousands and thousands of people about what it is you sell and you should be customizing those with AI to boot.

And then number four is freelancing websites. Think of things like freelancer or Upwork where you actually bid for work.

Now of these four, I would totally stay away from cold email and I would totally stay away from freelancing websites as well.

Now, why is that? Why do I hate cold email and hate freelancing websites? Well, first of all, they're pricey. Cold email, if you want to roll cold email at scale, you need to first find leads. You need to enrich leads. You need to turn each of those into a custom email. And then you have to send them all out. That's a lot of infrastructure and a lot of overhead when you first get started. And if you don't know what you're doing, you're not necessarily going to get a great return. Not to mention, when you deal with cold email clients, there's no trust built in. You're not in a great position power-wise.

Fourth is freelancing websites. This is a race to the bottom and it's only getting worse. I hope you have fun a paying for, you know, bid, what do they call it now? Tokens now on Upwork to compete with someone on the other side of the world who can do the same thing you do at 10% of the cost, right? That's a tough sell. And again, you're paying for the right to even bid for this work.

And that leaves you with social media and the warm network.

Now, why do I suggest doing these two? Well, warm network is the best in terms of getting a client quickly. So, when you first start, need some money to coming in the door, you want to focus on the warm network because the trust is already built in. On top of that, it's not necessarily a hard sell when you do your warm network. You're just telling people, hey, starting an AI agency, do you know anybody who might need my help? Right? They can read in between the lines, but this is the quickest way to get someone to talk to you. And oftentimes, it's essentially referral.

And then you have social media, which long-term is the best. This is the greatest lever you can pull in modern marketing today. The only issue with social media is it's a long burn. It's going to take you 30, 60, 90 days of posting over and over and over again to get any traction whatsoever, which is why everybody quits. But if you really want to make it in the long term and actually scale, you have to learn to master social media. And I actually have a complete social media playbook if that's something you want to learn how to do inside of my community. You can get the link in the bio.
