Taking our test this morning from Genesis chapter 32, verse 24-30. Genesis 32:24 to 30. One of those most common expressions of positive pronouncements is a pronouncement of a blessing. How far you have gone so far in life. A lot of it has to do with blessings that have been pronounced upon your life, upon your parents, upon certain things or platforms you are connected with. What is a blessing? A blessing is a call upon supernatural forces to help or walk in favor of someone. For instance, blessings that are spoken or pronounced. I want to share with you this morning on some vital things you need to know about blessings and pronouncements.

Number one: A blessing can be spoken into existence through specific pronouncements. And I say to someone listening to my voice this morning, your son is blessed. Your daughter is blessed. Your future is blessed. It will be well with you. You will succeed in life. You will excel in life. You will stand out in life. You will live longer than your [Applause] parents. A blessing can be spoken into existence. So please, parents here, call your children from time to time. Bless them. Anytime any of your children has done something very good, bless them. And parents, please, there are some spiritually significant things. Teach your children to kneel down when they are being prayed for. As it's not absolutely compulsory all the time, but as much as possible, let that be the preferred posture to receive a special prayer or blessing. You never can tell what will happen in the days ahead. Bless your children while you are alive.

One of the things you should take note, one of the things that makes a blessing powerful, one of the things that will make a blessing, a pronouncement, come to pass is when there is a justification. When there is a justification. So when someone does something very good, very good, very good, make a pronouncement. It will be stamped in the spirit. It is confirmed because of that thing that the person has done. Make a pronouncement. In Genesis chapter 32:26, Genesis 32:26 Amplified Bible Classic Edition, he said, "Then he said, 'Let me go, for day is breaking.' But Jacob said, 'I will not let you go unless you declare a blessing upon me.'" A blessing upon me. Blessings. We must teach our children the value of blessings, the value of blessings.

Number two: Before certain things can happen here on Earth, before it can happen, the relevant pronouncement must first be uttered. There must be a pronouncement to that effect before it can happen in the physical. In Matthew chapter 18:8, Matthew 18:18 King James Version, he said, "Verily I say unto you, whatsoever you shall bind on Earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever you shall loose on Earth will be loosed in heaven." This emphasizes the need for specific prophetic pronouncements. It implies that until you speak out and declare what you desire, heaven will not go ahead and enforce what you desire. You have to speak it out. You have to make a pronouncement. Make a declaration. You have to first of all speak it out and declare it. It also implies that it is exactly what you speak out and declare through your prophetic pronouncement that God will enforce. Take note of this. Failure to pray with relevant prophetic pronouncements can sometimes lead to delays. Can lead to delays in the physical manifestation of God's plan or promise. There's a place for prayer requests. There's a place also for prophetic declarations, prophetic pronouncements. Most of the time, when we pray, we begin with the prayer request, then we round it up with pronouncements and declarations. That's the pattern.

Number three: There are specific blessings that cannot be duplicated. There are specific blessings that cannot be duplicated. I pray that as you move forward in your journey in life, nobody will steal your blessing. There are some blessings that are meant for just one person at a time. The same blessing cannot be pronounced on more than one person. Is that is that serious? It is not a common blessing. And that is why for blessings like that, there is a particular person that has the authority to pronounce that blessing. In Genesis chapter 27, Genesis chapter 27:35, you see Jacob, you see Isaac, his father, you see Esau, Jacob's brother, you see Rebecca. Some drama was going on there. And all the drama was to make sure that that special blessing that Isaac was about to release was released upon a particular child. Isaac wanted the blessing to be given, released upon Esau. But Rebecca, his wife, wanted the blessing to be released upon her favorite child, Jacob. Then in the spiritual realm, Esau had lost the blessing in the spiritual realm. He lost it years ago when he traded his birthright. So spirits were waiting to make sure he never received that blessing. And that's also partially why that drama that day that Rebecca initiated was successful. Our fathers, fathers and mothers, are more senior. Fathers and mothers, teach the younger ones. Teach the younger ones because the values of today are changing fast. People are ready to do terrible things just to make money. Terrible things to make money. So there are blessings, some blessings that cannot be duplicated. It cannot be duplicated. So Isaac otherwise would have just also, okay, um, Jacob, Esau, now that you have come, kneel down and then whatever he had pronounced, he will pronounce it. No, not for that type of blessing. They are blessings that cannot be duplicated.

Then number four: Some blessings are irreversible. Once they are pronounced, they are irreversible. This is rare, very rare, because most blessings are conditional. Most blessings are conditional. But there are some that are irreversible. There are some gifts of God that are irreversible. So once such blessings are pronounced, you cannot withdraw it. You cannot cancel it from the life of that person because once the blessing is pronounced and is approved, endorsed by God in the spirit realm, the blessing cannot later be taken back from the beneficiary. In Genesis chapter 27:33, Genesis 27:33, The Living Bible, it says, "Then who is it who was just here with venison, and I have already eaten it and blessed him with irrevocable, aable blessing?" Is there? The Living Bible version. Irrevocable blessing. I have blessed him with irrevocable blessing. It cannot be taken back from him. It cannot be taken back from him. Numbers chapter 22, verse 23, 23:2, Good News Translation. This was Prophet Balaam speaking there. He said, "I have been instructed to bless, and when God blesses, I cannot call it back." He also understood the dynamics of blessings, that there are some kinds of blessings that when God endorses it, you cannot take it back.

Number five: There are different levels of grace that follow a blessing or pronouncement. The higher the level of grace behind the pronouncement or blessing that is released upon you, for instance, for a specific purpose, the greater the results, the greater the impact you will have in that area. In Leviticus chapter 25, the Lord was teaching them that, uh, His People Israel, that He will want them to have a special year, a year of rest, Year of Jubilee. So He said, for six years they would work, but on that, on the seventh year, He wants them to take a, a whole, a year-long break. He said, "But I know you already begin to wonder that if we don't do anything that year, how will we cook? What will we eat?" He said, "This is what I will simply do. Every year I send you a blessing because I don't want you to work on the seventh year. In the sixth year, here I will release upon you a special blessing, and that special blessing is going to result in a bumper harvest. In fact, that bumper harvest will be enough for three years, even though you just, you just need it for the extra year ahead of you." So there are different levels of grace that follow a pronouncement, that follow a blessing.

Number six: A blessing or pronouncement released from a person with higher spiritual authority, a blessing or pronouncement released from a person with higher spiritual authority or power can override and stop an existing curse. Can override a curse. Can nullify a curse. Can break a curse. Can cancel a curse. Can override and stop an existing curse from having any further effect. And right now, God is going to effect it in the lives of certain people listening to this message. Any one of you that is laboring right now under the influence of negative pronouncements, by the mercy of God, that yoke is broken. You see an example in 2 Kings chapter 2:18-22. The moment they just recognized that the double portion of the anointing upon Elisha, Elijah had come upon Elisha, immediately wise men in Jericho, wise men, they quickly came together and approached him. Says, "Sir, please, we have a big problem here. You look at this beautiful river, this beautiful river that looks so [Music] clean, is a reverse in terms of our experience with it. This river has become a curse to us." And why was this so? For so long, it was due to a curse. It was due to a curse. Joshua pronounced a curse. Joshua pronounced the curse long, long time ago, and that curse was what was affecting the river of Jericho. But by the mercy of God, God brought in a vessel operating now with a double portion of the prophetic grace, and everything was solved in one day.

Number seven: Certain people are approved by God and given divine power and authority to pronounce blessings upon specific people with a guarantee of divine enforcement. So when such persons make those pronouncements, because they have divine authority to do so, divine approval to do so, God will always ensure what they have said, what they have pronounced, is enforced. It comes to pass. So who are those that can pronounce blessings? One, God. Genesis 1:22, Genesis 9:1, Genesis 32:29. Who are those that can pronounce blessings? Two, parents. Parents, your father, your mother. And if someone by Providence now emerges and plays that role of a father in your life, then of course, God will also honor their blessings over you. Genesis 24:59-60, Genesis 27:29, Genesis 31:55. Who are those that can pronounce blessings that God has approved to pronounce blessings? Three, ministers of God. Ministers of God, your pastors, your spiritual father, and spiritual fathers. They, they carry a lot of, uh, uh, priority, um, importance in God's presence because people will come and go. People will come and go, but a set man, the senior pastor, is always there. As a senior pastor, as the pastor of the ministry branch, pastors can change, but your spiritual father is always there. Ministers of God, your pastors, your spiritual father. Numbers 6:23, Deuteronomy 10:8 to 21. Who are those approved by God to bless people with a guarantee that God will enforce it? Four, prophets. There's the office of the Apostle, the office of the Prophet, the office of the Pastor, the office of, uh, the Teacher, the office of the Evangelist. But very significantly, this office of the Prophet is very, very peculiar when it comes to pronouncements, when it comes to pronouncements. Numbers chapter 22:4-6. The man you read there, the prophet, the man called Balaam, was initially a truly ordained prophet of God. You see confirmation of that, uh, later on in the New Testament. In Peter, reference was made to he was a true prophet of God, but he deviated. He was so money-minded that people could recruit him because he had, you know, he had an exceptional track record that whoever he blesses will be blessed, whoever he curses will be cursed. It was so outstanding that unfortunately, people started luring him with money, and he was now using, using that gift even for wrong purposes. But the grace was there. And like we said, sometimes some gifts of God, God won't take it back. Won't take it back. He still had a gift. That's why he was approached there. And the king, Balak, would say, he said, "I know your reputation that when you bless people, one of the versions says fantastic things happen for them, and when you curse people, they are doomed." And it was true. So prophets. In Deuteronomy 33:1. And then number five, an elder or a leader. An elder or a leader. They can also pronounce blessings, and God will honor it. Genesis 47:7, Hebrews 7:7. And then number six, someone can also pronounce a blessing by divine inspiration. Divine inspiration. So it has nothing to do with anybody in particular. Grace can just, inspiration, the spirit of God can come upon an individual and inspire that person to make a pronouncement of blessing, and God will honor it. There are many instances, uh, in scriptures to support that. Numbers, Numbers 23:11-2, Numbers 23:19-20, Luke 22:72-8, and 33-34. And then number seven, a group of people. A group of people can also gather and pronounce a blessing, and God will honor it. A group, group of people. First Kings 8:6, Proverbs 6, Proverbs 11:26, Psalm 72:1-15, Psalm 72:1-15. And then the last one, take note of this. People that you have done something good for can also call for a blessing upon you, and God will honor it. People that you have done something good for can also call for a blessing upon you, and God will honor it. Children in an orphanage, children, little children in an orphanage can pray for you, can bless you because you are the one that provided everything that they are eating, and God will honor their prayer. He will honor the blessing. He will honor their pronouncement. So people that you have done something good for can also call for a blessing upon you. Because if someone has been afflicted, if someone has been seriously afflicted, and that person pronounces a curse, it will, it will happen. If someone also has been positively touched, you have done something good for a particular person, and from the bottom of heart, heart of such a person, the person makes a positive pronouncement, in the same vein, it will also be endorsed and executed in the spirit. So people that you have done something good for can also call for a blessing upon you, and God will honor. And the last one, number eight. For some, some pronouncements to be confirmed in the spirit realm, such pronouncements have to be intentional. Such pronouncements have to be intentional and uttered repeatedly. I didn't, I didn't take note. I said for some, not all. It's not all the time, but for some pronouncements to be confirmed in the spirit realm, such pronouncements have to be intentional and uttered repeatedly. Because in the spirit realm, before our actions or words can be confirmed as a seed that must produce future consequences, either a reward or repercussion, two conditions must be fulfilled. Two conditions must be fulfilled. One, the action must be intentional. The action of pronouncement must be intentional. That means it's not a mistake. It's not out of ignorance. It's not by error. It's not a joke. It must be intentional. And this is why some people are forgiven for accidental damage, unlike what is called willful damage. So your pronouncement has to be intentional. Then the second condition is that the action must be done repeatedly, at least more than once. It must be done repeatedly, at least more than once. And this is the reason why first offenders are sometimes forgiven. They are sometimes pardoned. But when you do it repeatedly, then of course, it implies that you know what you are doing and you are intentionally doing it over and over. And I give an example even with your some of your electrical, uh, appliances that when you click on delete, for instance, it will usually ask the question, "Do you want to delete?" And so sometimes you may even need to, the question may pop up a time or two, just to be sure that that instruction you are clicking on really needs to be executed. And by the third or second time you confirm it, then your instruction is executed. In Matthew 26, Matthew 26:39 to 49, 46, at the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus, that desperate day of prayer, prayed and uttered exactly the same words three times. Three times. Three times before he stopped praying and left the garden. He went with Peter, James, and John, then he excused himself from the three of them, went to some corner there, and he prayed, uttering certain words in his prayer request. Then he went back and checked on Peter and James and John, then went back a second time. The Bible says, and he prayed a second time, uttering the same words. That means the same prayer request, the same things he said the first time, he repeated them exactly the same thing. Then he went back again and checked on Peter and Cole, and then when he went back the third time, the Bible confirmed again that he uttered the same words again. It's following this law. It's following this law. So that's why you see sometimes when you pray, you miss, you know, you, you are, you don't just take the prayer point once. You are given a little more time to emphasize and, uh, uh, reinforce the things you have earlier said in that prayer point. It's a spiritual law. And when that happens, it's then confirmed in the spirit realm. You have to show you are intentional. It's intentional, and you have to do it repeatedly. And take note of this. This is quite tricky. You can, you can do something repeatedly, yet it's not intentional. If you have someone working with you, you manage events, and you have people who help you clear tables, you'll notice that sometimes they would mistakenly break glasses, and this will happen from time to time. It will happen from time to time, even the best hands you have. So even though someone may be guilty of that thing many times, it's still not intentional. But when these two factors align, it's intentional, and it's done repeatedly, then it's confirmed in the spirit realm, and there must be a future consequence. Positively, it will lead to a reward. Negatively, it could bring [Music] repercussions.
