Welcome Christian warriors. We have an immediate alert to give you about a threat from ISIS and al Qaeda. In their weekly newsletter, Al Naba, they have asked their followers to go and attack Christian churches in America. I think it's important for you to listen to this because they've been doing this pretty regularly and every time they put it out, I have noticed that a church gets attacked. So, when they put it out in the newsletter, it seems like within the next couple of weeks, a lonewolf attacker attacks a church.
So, in this episode, we're going to break down specifically what the magazine says about this attack and how they want their followers to do the attack. And then we're going to talk, as always, about what your church can do to protect itself from an attack like this. If you want current intelligence and free training, free. Uh synagogues and others, you may you may want to listen in, hear what's going on, because they're including you.
All right. So, this is all coming from a publication called Al-Naba. It is a weekly newsletter put out by ISIS's media arm. Now the issue contains explicit operational language that praises massacres of Christians and Jews. So in the very beginning of Al Naba they explain how they have killed Christians and Jews in Africa in the Middle East and they list out all their successes over just the past week. Now the language that they're using is a call to violence and every church in every synagogue needs to listen to it. Now they're telling everybody in plain language what they want them to do. So, let's go over the three excerpts that are in the newsletter and talk specifically about what it says.
Now, in excerpt A, it calls it to divers diversify attack methods. Now, specifically what it says is perfect the plans and diversify the operations. Blow up with explosives, burn with inciniary bombs, shoot with lethal bullets, cut and slaughter with sharp knives, run over and crush with buses. That's pretty specific. and the sincere will not lack a trick to make the hearts of Jews, Christians, and their allies bleed and to heal the chest of believing people from them. So here they're telling you exactly what they want their followers to do.
Now in excerpt B, it has geographic targeting and their justification for why they want people to do this. Oh the zealous lines of caliphate, go forth and hunt your prey. the Jews, the Christians, and their allies in the streets, in the roads of precious America, Europe, and the world. Break into their homes, kill them, punish them by any means you can. Remember, you are the hand of the Islamic State today. Strike at the heart of the infidels and avenging Muslims in Palestine, Iraq, Syria, and all Muslim lands. Here they're telling where they want you to attack, America. And we do have European followers. They want you to attack there, too. And their justification of course is Palestine and all of the other stuff that we keep hearing over and over and over again.
Now excerpt C is an exhortation towards gatherings. Now it says strike the gatherings of the Christians and the Jews especially where they gather in churches, synagogues and public events and make their assemblies unsafe for them. So there's again this is another call. This is the first time I've heard this call in a couple of months. the prior times they've done this, there has been an attack on a synagogue or a church in the preceding weeks after that. So, I do expect I I pray that I'm wrong, but I do expect that something is going to happen in the next couple of weeks. We just don't know where it's going to be.
Now, we don't want you to turn your church into a bunker. We just want you to use some common sense approaches. The first one, of course, is to have a safety team. But let's get into some of the other things that we can we can do. The first is to increase security at all entrances, including main doors and secondary access points. To be clear, you should not have an open door at your church without an armed guard there. Now, look, if you can't have an armed guard there, then have somebody there. You shouldn't have an entrance or door open that nobody is covering. And I'm not talking about with a camera. I'm talking about somebody there so if somebody walks in with a gun, we can tackle them right away and stop the killing. It's a firstp person view of this guy slaughtering 40 people and it's horrible to watch, but it's a good lesson and you can see multiple times where somebody could have stopped that man from shooting him. Now, you want to post at least one train member in the parking area and have them walk unpredictable routes. So, my recommendation is the the entrance to your church where people are coming in, just post somebody outside. They can see the parking lot and they can see the front door. 75% of all active shooting events start in the parking lot. So, that is where you need to be first. Uh, if you can, I I don't know, most churches can't do this, but you want to try to avoid single person assignments. Uh so if you if you have somebody at that front door, it's great to have two people there so they can back each other up. There was that shooting in Michigan recently. In fact, I just talked to uh one of the people involved in the shooting today uh just about two hours ago on a call. He's going to come on here and talk about that incident. But a man with an AR-15 started attacking the church and uh two or three of church security team were fending him off from entering that front door. Now, he's going to give us a breakdown of what happened, but I am a fan of having two people at every door if you can do it, if you can pull it off. It's going to be rough for some of you, though.
You want to review and rehearse lockdown and evacuation procedures. A lot of people say, "We're going to lock the church down." Okay, have you ever done that? If you've never locked your church down, then how do you know it's going to be successful? You're going to have to practice over and over again. You want to train team members to spot pre-attack indicators, including repeated surveillance, photographing entry points, concealment gestures, nervous pacing, or attempts to bypass credential checks. You'll get a certificate of training when you're done. You want to check exterior lighting and CCT coverage and make sure everything looks good to go. You want to make sure all your blind spots are covered with cameras.
You do want to prepare a short, calm message to your congregation that there has been a threat by ISIS and al Qaeda to attack churches in America. You can water it down if you want, but you should let them know that the threat is out there, that you have a safety team. It's okay to let people know you have a safety team. I don't know why safety teams want to be secret, but let them know you have a safety team and they're there for their protection. so you can come worship in peace and talk about how important it is for them to still come to church but to be vigilant to pay attention to use good situational awareness and to report anything out of the ordinary.
All right. So I trust and now let's talk about pastoral and scriptural guidance. Now I trust that the Lord is going to protect me but the Lord has also given me a lot of training and he's given me this platform to help you protect your church. So, I trust he's going to protect me. And part of that is him letting us talk and have this conversation to protect your church. Now, Psalm 121 reminds believers the Lord watches over his people. And Luke 22:36 shows that preparation is a necessity in protecting our people. So, if you have a safety ministry, it is not a lack of faith. It is stewardship so that people can continue to worship without fear. It's okay to have a safety ministry.

I want you to pray for the safety of our churches and pray for our safety teams and our pastors to keep them safe. And most importantly after that is to remember your ABCs. Always be caring.
