Making a film that lasts is about taking risks, discovering new things. I like to live right on that edge of building on what’s been done before, seeing a need for something that’s never existed and willing that technology over the line beyond whatever has been done in the past.
I think great movies are made in details, when you forget it’s a movie and you feel like you’re actually in that world. That’s the ultimate goal we strive for as storytellers.
We build on the shoulders of the people that came before us and then we have to pass on what we know to a new generation. Excellence is a journey, and I think it’s a journey that never stops.
