Colossians 4:3 from The Message Bible, it says, "Don't forget to pray for us, that God will open doors of telling the mystery of Christ."
What does a season of open door imply? To open the door means to provide the access or avenue, access or avenue for someone or a group of people to realize some specific goal. Open doors means to provide the means, the means, the means, all necessary resources for certain things to be done. Get ready, because soon after you have heard this message, God is about to give you the means to get those things done.
Open doors means to provide the means or necessary resources for certain things to be done. An open door is a time or season for something specific to be done. Open doors are favorable circumstances for something to be done or for something to be achieved. Open doors could also mean to create an opportunity for someone to realize some specific things. It comes to create an opportunity for something good to happen.
From Ecclesiastes chapter 9:1, we can see that open doors are divinely arranged circumstances that are meant to make certain good things happen in the lives of some people. Open doors are divinely influenced circumstances, opportunities, and sometimes contacts that are favorable for certain things to be done or achieved. And in the process of time, you do have, you happen to have a dream and you see a door, an open door in the spirit realm. A door portrays new opportunity. A door portrays a way. A door portrays an avenue. It could also portray an opening in life. So to dream of an open door, especially if it reveals a pleasing view, it's a predicting sign of good things to come. Can that man or woman say amen?
How do you recognize open doors and divine opportunities? How do you recognize them? Divine opportunities come in different ways, and a lot of them are not so visible or obvious to the crowd. So one of the things God will do for you is that He will open your eyes or give you prior information that will give you that advantage to recognize it when it shows up.
They sometimes come through a divine call for you to do something. The Lord calls upon you to do something. That could be a divine opportunity. They sometimes come through a request for you to do something. When God decides to answer this prior request of yours, it could come through a divine call for you to do something. It could come through a request for you to do something. It could sometimes come in the form of an invitation to do something, an invitation to solve a problem, an invitation to provide something.
Whenever God chooses you to play a specific role, it's often an opportunity. It's often an opportunity. Whenever God, when God decides to use you for something, it's often an opportunity. When God decides to use something that you have, it's often an opportunity.
Luke chapter 5, verses 1 to 4: Jesus wanted to preach. He needed a suitable platform. He saw two empty boats. One was for Peter, and He decided to use the boat of Peter. And take note, when He was going to use the boat of Peter, He did not promise Peter anything. He didn't promise him anything. This is one of the reasons why many people, especially in these times where we really see the spirit of selflessness in manifestation, many people miss out opportunities that God is bringing their way. It's always about, "What is in it for me? What do I stand to gain? What is my reward? How much will you pay? What will you give me?" And they miss another opportunity. So sometimes God will want to use something you have, and there will be no promise that anything is going to be done for you in return.
So the Lord used the boat of Peter, and when the Lord finished, without Peter asking Him, the Lord, the spirit of favor was activated. Favor flows in two dimensions. There is favor with God, and there is favor with men. That day, favor was activated on behalf and in favor of Peter. The season of a breakthrough from God is right ahead of you.
Whenever there is a critical need, sometimes, for instance, for the church, for God's people, for God's mission, or for someone that is in a helpless condition, and you turn out to be capable of addressing that need, it's often an opportunity for you. Open doors, divine opportunities often come through a particular person emerging as God's choice for something. Divine opportunities can come in the form of an appointment, in the form of an appointment. It can come through you being nominated to do something.
Then there are position-related opportunities. They sometimes come through holding or occupying a position that enables you to do some specific things. Some opportunities that God will bring your way, the way of your loved ones, your friends, your contacts, your destiny partners in the journey of life, will come through certain positions. The devil can scatter even the church using people in a position in that church. God also puts people in a position in order to use them to make things work well. So the position enables you or empowers you to start something, start something.
Some of these positions will put you in a position to make a decision, like a judge. To choose, you'll be in a position to elect, you be in a position to remove, you be in a position to favor certain people. Some positions will enable you to assist more people than you could have without that position. Some positions will enable you to support, to appoint, to select, to approve, to award certain things that will make a lot of difference thereafter. Certain positions will now give you the opportunity to promote people. You'll be in a position to promote people, to empower people, to influence people, to stop certain things. And some positions will give you the privilege to pardon, to pardon certain people, or do something that will lead to any of the above outcomes.
And take note of this: sometimes you will not be the one actually holding the position, but you will be extremely close to the person holding the position, extremely close, and you eventually graduate from just being an advisor to a much higher realm. And this can happen through different dimensions of relationship.
In Esther 4:14, God's Word Translation, it said, "The fact is," Mordecai speaking to Esther here, "even if you remain silent now, someone else will help and rescue the Jews. But you and your relatives will die. And who knows? You may have gained your royal position for a time like this." You can be chosen as God's instrument of intervention for someone or for a group of people. You can be chosen as God's instrument of help for someone or for a group of people.
Acts chapter 16, verse 9: Acts 16:9 Contemporary English Version, it says, "During the night, Paul had a vision of someone from Macedonia who was standing there and begging him, 'Come over to Macedonia and help us.'" Come over. Who was given the vision? God was the one giving the vision, and this vision was conveying a message, instructing the recipient of the vision to go and help certain people. You can be chosen as God's instrument of support for someone or a group of people. You can also be chosen as God's instrument of provision, God's instrument of provision for someone or for a group of people.
I pray that as God gives you these opportunities, you will excel. I pray that God will be pleased with you. God will be pleased with you. God will be happy with you that you made the best of that position when He gave you the opportunity. And most times, when you do well, you excel in some opportunity God gives you, most times God will promote you and give you even something higher, something more important and more influential. That is how it works.
So, some lessons on open doors:
One: Open doors implies God's time. So another word for open doors is God's time. Psalm 102:13, "It's the appointed time. It's the right time. It's the best time. It's a special time appointed by God for something to happen." And a very key scripture in Habakkuk 2:3, Easy to Read Version, captures it excellently. He says, "This message is about a special time in the future. He said this message is about the end, and it will come true. Just be patient and wait for it. Wait for it." He said, "That time will come." Are you seeing the scripture? It's right on the screen. He said, "That time will come." The time for that dream you had to be fulfilled, that time will come. It will not be late.
Lesson number two: Open doors implies access to new people and new places. In Revelation 3:8, He said, "I have set before you a door that no man can shut." This time, no man can shut. Forget about what happened in the past. This time, the Lord has set before you a door that no man, no power, no organization can close.
So in different dimensions, when this kind of time comes for the church, it's a time to move forward. It's a time to move forward. So God will open some doors so the church can move forward. The church can have access to make impact, to touch more lives, to touch people that had not been impacted all the while. And there will be some goals that the Lord wants the church to achieve in that season of that open door. It's a time of going forward into a particular phase of God's program for your life, for the church, or for someone that stands to benefit from that open door.
Lesson number three: Open doors implies abundance and overflow. It implies abundance and overflow. In 2 Kings chapter 7, verses 8 to 9, you see the followup. They had gone through, gone through the worst that any nation could go through. The situation was as bad as what happens in very, very terrible world. All that was going on came to a climax in chapter 6 of Second Kings, where even women started eating their own babies. The hunger, the famine was so severe. It was in the midst of that that the Lord released His prophet, Elisha. 2 Kings 7:1, Elisha said, "By the spirit of the Lord, by this time tomorrow, by this time tomorrow, in this same 2023, this is what will happen." It was such an outstanding thing, and God was saying it will happen so fast, even in 24 hours. His own duty was to release the word. His own assignment was to speak what the spirit of God wanted to be released through him, because it was the word of the Lord, not the word of Elisha. And then after that, you see God in action. The Lord went into action to bring that word to pass.
So when, for certain people, when God says it's your time of open doors, it implies you are entering into an experience of more than enough. You are entering into an overflow, an overflow of something good, an overflow of many good things, overflow of many good things.
Lesson number four: Open doors will often lead to great upliftment and transformation. Psalm 126, verses 1 to 2, "Open doors would often lead to great upliftment and transformation." Psalm 126:1 or 2, "When the Lord turned around the captivity of Zion, they were as those that dreamed." And people will begin to testify, "The Lord has done great things for them." And you too will also acknowledge, "Yeah, the Lord has done great things for us," and that is why we are glad. When God opens the door unto men, people begin to experience dramatic transformation, dramatic transformation. When God opened the door of divine promotion and prosperity for Joseph, we within 24 hours, he had a dramatic turnaround that turned him from a poor, depressed prisoner the previous evening into a very high and influential position as Prime Minister of Egypt the following day.
Lesson number five: God has a pattern of positioning His chosen instruments ahead of time. He has a pattern of positioning His chosen instruments ahead of time. This is one of the reasons why many people miss opportunities in life, especially our younger generation of this season. The best you will get in life in some realms will not happen overnight. You have to be prepared ahead of time. You have to be prepared ahead of time. I told you, I said some of the opportunities that will come may not be you in particular. God will give a big opportunity to someone you are already very close to, and that is how your own opportunity will happen. You won't love it because there is already a deep and strongly rooted relationship. But make it easier, make it easier for such persons by ensuring you are well competent for that, for that position that you are aspiring for. Is someone listening to this message? Start that program now. Start it now. For some of you, six months, the program is done. 12 months, you are done. 18 months, you already have a Master's in that course. May God give us wisdom.
Please take note of this: God can favor you with open doors, but bad character and the wrong attitude can make you lose what you gained from the open door. It was bad character that took the former queen out of the position that God opened the door for Esther to take over. Bad character, wrong attitude. Good attitude, loyalty is what you will need to keep some major open doors. Are you still listening to the message now?
Lesson six: God always has a reason for giving selected people certain opportunities. God always has a reason for giving selected people certain opportunities. Acts chapter 13, verse 22.
And the last point, number seven: The last point, number seven. Always watch out for hidden doors of opportunity. Always watch out for hidden doors of opportunity. Divine opportunities don't always come the way the average person expects, so you must be sensitive to identify them.
In Genesis 30:27, Laban will acknowledge, "He said, 'I have learned, I have learned by divination that God has blessed me because of you.'" Who was he referring to? Jacob. The same thing that happened when Joseph was with Potiphar is the same thing that happened when Jacob was with Laban. And God revealed to Laban that the prosperity, everything working well, working so well for him, he was doing it because of Jacob that was with him. So anytime you have the answer or solution to a major need in the lives of other people, you may have a hidden opportunity before you. Anytime you are the solution to what people need, that is a hidden opportunity. One man's problem is another man's opportunity.
Opportunities, when you come across a situation that needs or need that gives you a chance to be of assistance, a chance to be a blessing, a chance to be of help, it could be an opportunity to feed someone's hunger, quench someone's thirst, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, remove the reproach of certain people. May God use you to remove the pains and reproach of some married couples in the name of Jesus Christ. It is an opportunity.
And some opportunities will come in the form of a test. You will pass through. If you can stand in that test and not waver, it's going to be, it's going to open the door for a major promotion. Remember Meshach, Shadrach, and Abednego in Daniel chapter 3. In Daniel chapter 3. There are many, many instances.
And in closing, many people have lost opportunities, and many are still losing their opportunities. Some have rejected the opportunity when it came. There are cases of divine replacement. In Esther 4:14, one key to hidden opportunities is selfless service. Still under point number seven, many people walk past some of their potential blessings and rewards whenever they look the other way because there is no visible reward or promised reward. Please, sometimes it may not be all the time. Sometimes be ready to selflessly do things for God, selflessly do things for friends, for some loved ones, for some neighbors, do things for the needy, do things for helpless people.
