You don't have to wait until you are rich to feel rich. In fact, most people never feel rich even when they are because wealth is more than money. It is a state of mind. You have to feel rich first before money comes.
This mindset shift completely changed how I operate in life and in business. In this video, I am going to show you how to feel rich before you are with practical steps that actually work. Because when you feel rich, you start acting like it. And that identity, it attracts wealth on a whole new level.
If you're new here, hi, I'm Kaylee. I'm a dentist and business owner, and I help people master their money, upgrade their mindset, and build a life they don't need a vacation from. I own a small private dental practice, bringing in seven figure yearly. The first few years were really tough, though. So when I say this mindset shift changed my life, I mean it.
The question is, why does feeling rich even matter? Isn't that just pretending? Actually, no. It's neuroscience. Your brain has something called the reticular activating system or your RAZ, RA. It acts like a filter, constantly scanning your environment, finding information that supports your current beliefs and identity. Have you ever noticed when you buy a new car, you suddenly see the exact same car everywhere? You didn't magically manifest those cars, just your brain started noticing them.
The same thing happens with wealth. When you feel broke, stuck, or behind, your ras look for more proof that you are. But when you feel confident, capable, and abundant, your brains filter in different opportunities, people, and idea that align with that identity. You start thinking like a wealthy person. And wealthy thinking creates wealthy actions.
Here's the mindset trap most people fall into. "When I have more money, I'll feel secure." "When I make six figure, I'll be confident." "When my business takes off, I'll finally feel successful." But real transformation starts when you flip that. It's not "when I have," it's "who I am."
So here's the shift. I feel secure. So I make secure decisions. I feel confident. So I show up and pitch. I feel successful. So I build systems like someone who values their time. This is called identity-based behavior. And it's one of the most powerful tools you'll ever use. You don't need to wait for wealth to feel wealthy. You can start today.
I'll be honest. I used to believe wealth comes from hard work alone. And yes, I did hard work. And I still do, but back then I was stuck in a loop. Work harder, save more, sacrifice now so you can enjoy later. But later kept moving. I remember one night exhausted, looking at my numbers and thinking, "Why don't I feel rich? Why does it still feel like a grind?" I realized I was operating from survival, not strategy.
So I made a decision. What if I tried it differently? What if I acted like wealth was already here? That tiny mindset shift changed everything for me. My mood, my energy, the way I ran business, how I handle patience, and how I invested. And very quickly, the money started showing up, too.
Let's make this real for you. Here are seven practical psychology-backed ways to feel rich starting today.
Number one, create micro luxury moments. We think luxury means private jets, designer bags, but true wealth is about how you move through life. Take your coffee in a real mug instead of a paper cup. Eat at a, you know, table with a cloth napkins. Play jazz while you cook instead of scrolling through Tik Tok or Instagram. These little rituals tell your brain, "I deserve richness right now."
Number two, dress for the energy you want to feel. No, it isn't fake it until you make it. It's about aligning your outer world with your future self. Wear clothes that make you feel powerful, even if they are simple. Put on cologne or perfume. Style your hair. Show up for yourself, not for anyone else.
Number three, use language that aligns with abundance. Stop saying, "I can't afford that." Start saying, "That's not aligned with my goals right now." It's subtle but powerful.
Number four, create your environment. Declutter, dust, invest in a clean sheets, fluffy comforter, open your window. Your surroundings affect your self-image, and your self-image affects every decisions you make, especially with money.
Number five, be generous with what you already have. Tip the barista. Send a voice note to a friend. Offer help to someone just starting out. Wealthy people don't hoard, they circulate. Even if it's just your energy right now, circulate it.
Number six, stop talking down to yourself. Nothing kills wealthy energy faster than self-sabotage. Would a grounded, successful, high earning version of you say, "I'm so stupid with money," or, "I'll never figure this out." No. That version says, "I am learning. I am getting better every day."
And lastly, number seven, visualize your rich life in detail. Not just a nice house or more money. Picture marble counters, the scent of your shampoo, the way you your sheet feels, the conversation you have at dinner. The more you feel it in your body, the faster your brain believes it's possible.
Let me tell you a secret most people won't. The amount of money in your account doesn't automatically makes you feel different. I've had multi-5 figure months that felt empty and I've had low four figure weeks that felt abundant as hell because your emotions aren't tied to your account balance. They are tied to your beliefs.
So here's a big question for you. Who are you becoming? Are you someone who respects their time? Who makes decisions with clarity? Who surrounds themselves with aligned people? who holds themselves to wealthy standards even when no one's watching. That's where the real wealth begins.
If you are ready to take this seriously, here's your challenge. For 7 days, act like the wealthy version of you is already here. Every decisions, big or small, you should ask yourself, "What would the rich, grounded, secure version of me do right now?" They would trust themselves. They would move with clarity. and they would hold the vision, not the doubt. Do that for seven days. You will feel different. I promise. And that shift, that's your starting line.
So, let's stop chasing rich. Let's become it today. And remember, wealth starts with how you think, not what you have.
