Okay. So, I'll show you a couple of advanced little squeegee techniques that you might want to try to help you speed up your work flow and help you work in a more efficient way. Um, so a couple of little tricks we can do.
When you wet up the window, you want to be careful not to wet up to the edges of the frame. We've mentioned that before, mainly at the top. Now, here's uh a slightly different approach that you can take. Once you've wet up the window, now wipe the edges of the glass like that. And like this. So, we've taken that soap away from the edges straight away. Then we'll get our squeegee. Make sure the blade is dry. And we can just come straight down like that. Wipe the blade in between. And we'll come straight down again. Now we'll have no wiping round to do of the frame now. That's all been done. Just wipe here along the bottom. And you may or may not want to wipe the frame. depends how thorough you like to be. But there we go. That's a quick and easy way of handling the wiping round of the frame.
Another little trick alternatively that you might want to try when you wet up the glass. Again, be careful when you're wetting application not to wet up wet up the frame. Stay a little bit away from the top and a little bit away from the sides. And then we're just going to adjust our squeegee technique slightly. This is called dive bombing where we're just going to keep that angle all the way down. Then we come over again a little bit higher than normal, but then we dip that angle down and keep that going. So you've got a bigger arch each time right down to the bottom.
What can really make a difference to this being effective or not is the type of rubber seal around the edge of the glass. If it's the type of rubber seal that is slopes onto the glass, it can lift the squeegee rubber away from the glass slightly and leave a little gap, which means your soap will be you'll have a run of soap all the way down the glass. But this window here is very square and the rubber seal is tucked in slightly to the glass. So what that means is we can use this dive bombing technique very effectively because what you're doing is you're gathering up the soap. You're keeping the corner of the rubber squeegee right against the rubber seal of the glass frame, which means you can eliminate the detailing that you need to do afterwards by using that angle right down to the bottom. So, there's no need for detailing. All the soap has been taken away from the edge. You may just want to wipe it at the bottom and wipe the window seal. There we go. Uh, lots of window cleaners like to do it that way so that they don't have to do the detailing or they can keep the amount of detailing they need to do to a minimum. But that might help you work a little bit more quickly and effectively in that way.
