You want to upgrade your talking head videos with a 360-degree approach, clearer and more captivating storytelling, a more professional-looking image, and, of course, build a credible, powerful personal brand. But there is so much to take care of, and you don't know where to start.

Until I applied these five tricks, my channel wasn't working well. But after I applied what you will see in this video, magic happened, and it's growing and growing because I use them on every video.

Trick number one about storytelling on talking head videos. When you decide to create a video about a topic, always ask this question before writing the script or shooting the video (if you don't do scripts): Why will someone watch this video? If you don't have a clear, fast, direct answer to this question, you are not ready yet to create that video. Think about this: People need to have a clear reason to click and watch your video. If you create your video with this answer in mind and communicate this reason from the beginning of the video, from the title and thumbnail, people will click and watch because they know why. If this answer is not clear to you, the viewer will be totally confused.

If you have a channel about personal finances and choose a topic, for example, "how to track your expenses to save more," what will be the straight, powerful reason? People want to save more money easily. Many people may not realize that they can't save because they don't track their expenses. And if you communicate only the first part, "how to track your expenses," many people will have the question, "Why?" That's bad. "Why track my expenses? I don't know. I don't want to watch this." But if you add "to save more money," that's a clear why.

You are watching this video, "Five Proven Tricks for Successful Talking Head Videos." Why? 99% of you are creating talking head videos, and you want to improve them for better results. And don't forget, remind your viewers about the final result from time to time, as I'm telling you now. Apply this trick, and you will start to see results and have more successful talking head videos.

Let's move to trick number two about your talking head setup. These days, we find successful, inspirational talking head creators making videos at a high-quality level. So, you can't make low-quality videos if you want to reach success. But also, don't exaggerate with this aspect to avoid getting stuck. Here is the trick: Find the right balance between quality and ease of use. Most of the time, I see two sides here.

Number one: People who sacrifice quality to make it easier to create. And if you sacrifice the audio quality too much, for example, you can destroy your work. And number two: People who focus too much on the quality and forget about the value and the purpose of their videos. I see creators getting stuck because they don't have the ultimate, super-expensive lens and don't shoot 8K raw. Overcomplicated things for talking head videos.

Most of the time, this is the priority list in production quality to have great videos: Number one, audio quality. Number two, lighting. Number three, video quality. If you have great audio quality and lighting and shoot with an older camera but deliver value, I don't care. Analyze where you should really invest time and energy and where you can sacrifice small things. Find the right balance between quality and ease of use.

Now, trick number three about storytelling. Again, this one will transform your videos instantly. Make the video for your audience, and let them know it. You want to deliver value to your audience. Solve a problem for them. Teach them something. Make them the main character of your video. Every point, every phrase should be for them, and let them know it.

I started this video like this: "You want to upgrade your talking head videos in any aspect." You, and you are watching and clicking on this video because you are interested in this topic. What will be on your mind? "Yes, I want that. This video is for me." And every point is for you. Every trick will help you create successful talking head videos, and I want you to feel that.

If you have that channel about personal finances and you make that video about "how to track your expenses to save more," every point should be for them to save more. Let them know this. Let them feel it. They are the main character of your video. You are there to help them. The video is not about you, for you. The video is 100% for them. Let them feel that. Apply this trick to a few videos, practice it, and let me know in the comments if your videos have changed.

Let's go again to the setup and camera gear at trick number four. Your setup can be your best friend or your worst enemy. As we saw at trick number two, first, find the right balance between quality and ease of use. And after you find it, keep that setup. Here is the trick: Use the same spot every time and change the setup as little as possible. Even if you don't have a dedicated room and pack and mount everything for every video, use the same spot and the same setup.

If you use the same place, you will know exactly where to position your lights and your camera. You will know the exact intensity of the lights and know exactly what the best settings are. This doesn't mean you shouldn't upgrade small things and try to make small improvements or tests, but after you have a good balance, change as little as possible. I, for example, walk into this room, turn on the lights, turn on the camera, and shoot. Everything is the same. Yes, I test new microphones from time to time, or I move small things in the background, but 90% of the setup is the same.

And if you are interested in my setup and what I use to shoot my videos, I will add affiliate links in the description to all the equipment that I use. If you click on my links, you're not going to pay anything extra, but I'll earn a small commission, and this will help me keep sponsors away from this channel and create more valuable content for you. Thank you.

Don't let the setup be a problem. Your videos should deliver the best value. Your videos are not about how good the quality is. If you find the best balance and use it all the time, the setup will be your best friend, helping you create easily and concentrate on more important things to reach success with your talking head videos.

And all these tricks together will help you build your personal brand. And this gets us to trick number five. To reach success with your channel and personal brand, you need to be known for a specific thing. This is something you can control. Be the creator known for something. I am that guy who helps you with your talking head videos. You can be that creator who helps people with personal finances. Or that creator who helps people prepare the best desserts. Or that creator who helps people play acoustic guitars better. Or that creator who helps people make their gardens look better. This will be the most powerful aspect you can take care of to create a successful personal brand. And you can do it by choosing a specific niche for your channel and stick to it for at least one year or more. After you become known for a specific niche, you can start adding step-by-step small things to expand it. But first, choose a path and get known for it.

Think about it. Use trick number one and make the people have a reason to click and watch your videos. Use trick number two and obtain great quality and also have a comfortable-to-use setup. Move to trick number three and make your viewers feel that the videos are for them. Use trick number four and create easier by making the setup your friend. And with trick number five, become known for a specific niche.

But you can apply all these tricks for nothing if you get stuck on a common problem for beginner talking head creators: the shooting space. I will give you a dedicated video where I show you how to choose the best spot to shoot your videos, how to position and set your lights, and many more tricks to transform a normal room into a great shooting space. Watch this video and transform your creation process right now.
