Um, we've gotten several requests for your interview, so um, you guys can be content and satisfied. You're going to see her in a different light. Um, let's start out from the beginning. Being the youngest sibling and growing up in a conservative, conservative religious household, what did your friends and family have to say about you becoming an adult film star? >> Um, >> Is that a lie? My [laughter] No, I'm just thinking. I'm like, uh, >> It's a good question 'cause I forget when I told them or how it even came about. Uh, >> So, uh, with my parents, my father passed away in 2018. >> Yes, I got that. We're going to go to there. Yep. >> Didn't have to talk to him. My mom, I don't know. But my parents were all really supportive and cool. Some of them like it, some of them aren't a fan of it, but at the end of the day, they're all just happy I'm happy. I asked a lot of female, uh, not female, a lot of performers in general. Um, did they lose any friends? And some say some they did, and some say they did. Did you? Was that the case for you? >> Not really. Like, I'm pretty selective with who my friends are. So like, if you [ __ ] with me, you were going to [ __ ] with me >> regardless. We can, we can applaud that. [laughter] Um, like, you, uh, the Christianity religion was implemented onto me as an adolescent, and then I started to peep the controlling factor of the human mind when it comes to believing in religions. Are many of your peers, uh, religious in this industry that you've come across, other performers? Do you come across some that are religious? >> Yeah, I mean, it's a mixed bag, right? There's definitely some people who grew up in a religious household [music] and there's plenty that weren't. With, with me, as I got older, I don't know if you follow the same thing. Do you kind of see the controlling factor of it when, like, how it can be controlling? >> Oh, absolutely. I mean, that's the whole point of religion, isn't it? >> Yeah. Yeah. [laughter] >> You stated in an interview about how much contemplating you spent about becoming an adult film star after performing in three scenes already. >> What was the ultimate factor to you saying, "All right, I'm going to go for it"? I actually look back at this one very particular moment where I was working as a beverage server in this uh casino, and I was dropping off this drink to this guy, and you could tell that he was up to no good. He's like, "Hey baby, you know you want to go to my hotel room over there? Oh, thanks for the drink, baby." I'm like, "No, I'm good. I'm good." Give him the drink. No tip, no nothing. I'm like, >> "What the [ __ ] am I doing?" Like, making [ __ ] pay, getting sexually harassed anyways at this [ __ ] job when I [music] could just do something I actually like and care about. >> So that was the moment, the defining moment. >> So what did you? You woke up the next day and right there you had Okay, >> out of body experience. I was looking at the experience going on and I was like, " [ __ ] this dude." But also like >> [ __ ] me for being here too. But you had to. So you woke up the next day and you still felt the same way and you was like, "All right, this is real." So you then what? You reached out to an agency or what did you do? >> Yeah, I reached out back to the guy that uh had been representing me before with those first three scenes that I had done, and then I jumped back into it. >> Sorry, I put my phone on sleep mode. So >> All right, you went back, you went back into um, you went back into the industry. Your first scene was that you already done major production sets prior to those first three, right? >> I just did three. Yeah. For that with Net Video Girl. >> So you, you, you had the stage name at that time too when you did the three. Okay. So you already. So it was just a matter of going back into it with full commitment. Okay. All right. That makes sense. That makes sense. Um, and something I want to give you props for before we go off into Octavia's Red and the other question I have. I want to applaud you 'cause while I was preparing for your interview, I saw the interview you did with Holly Randall, and I want to applaud you for elaborating on the death of your sister and how it taught you not to waste time and to appreciate being alive and healthy. Well said. The way you elaborated and and broke it down, I was like, that was sharp. That was, that was thought put into it, and you understand the importance of time. And I recently, it resonated with me 'cause I lost a cousin at 40. He got pancreatic cancer, and it just, boom, say it just came out of nowhere, and then, and, and you see it, like, you got to value time. You got to make the most of it because that person, you know what I'm saying? And somebody you know all your life >> and they, they, they didn't expect that to happen, just, oh, suddenly. So when you gave, when you broke that, that was, I couldn't have said it any better. So I just wanted to give you props for that. Mhm. >> Um, >> Your first professional shoot, were you really on your period? >> I was. >> And you had to use the sponge? I found out about, I found out about the sponge the hard way. Did a male performer assist you with putting the sponge up in there? 'Cause that's what a performer told me. >> You know what? I give a lot of credit to Mr. Lucky. Okay. Uh, he was my first three scenes, and he taught me a lot, and he was so nice to me about everything, and he taught me the whole, like, douching thing, how to do all that, and to clean yourself and be better prepared. >> Um, then he taught me about the sponges. 'Cause I've, I've interviewed a young lady in my, in Miami, and she said she was a size queen prior, but now her cat has reformed. She's, exact words verbatim, as she's gotten older. >> Yeah. >> She said the pleasure of feeling the pain and all that was there, but now as she got older, she's like, I don't want to experience that no more. I remember interviewing, uh, Charlie Hart in Florida, and she says, I, I'd like to have larger twice a year to remind myself why I don't want it. [laughter] Um, so with you at this stage of your life, 'cause you're still fairly young. Um, what do you, are you still excited by it? You still need it? The floor is yours. >> I get, um, not to sound cheesy, but for me, it's more about excited about the person. >> Okay. Okay. >> You know, like, obviously, if there's a certain level of like, below five or something, then I'm like, >> Does that really exist? >> Like, >> Does that really exist? Because yesterday, a young lady was saying to us about she experienced a three-inch. And I'm like, well, how are you able to? She said, we were able to. But I'm like, how was he able to feel it? How do you feel the warmth of a woman when you're that, when you're [music] so miniature? >> Well, like I have fat pussy lips, too. >> Oh, wow. Appl [laughter] for me. I think they get stuck at the entrance because my lips are so fat that they just get stuck there, you know? How important is it to implement [music] and be adamant about your boundaries and them not crossing the line or pushing the line? >> Um, I mean, I feel like it's a straightforward question. It's just [ __ ] important. Respect people's yes and nos. I mean, I think that's like the most, [music] you know, but also as a performer, and like, this is why I don't think I could be a male performer either, is because for me, I have to feel comfortable around you, or I'm not going to give my best performance. >> But if I feel comfortable and you make me feel safe, and I know that like, I do like performing where we push each other's limits, but then if you can tell that I'm like, and you're like, you're like, "Oh, okay, I won't do that again." I [snorts] like that kind of communication. I think that's fun. Um, so that, you know, if you do make your partner feel comfortable, you're probably going to get a lot more of a wild performance. >> Right. Right. Um, Nadia J, uh, when I was interviewing, she was saying about the buildup and how important that is, and you can't just jump in Jack Raget style. Warm it up first. And then do you have to, at this point of your, do you have to still guide them? I know you say you prefer working with the older men at this, at this point of your career. You don't have to guide them. They know what they're doing, right? >> They know what they're doing. And I think that I'm just such a slow, sensual performer anyways, that I kind of >> I don't want to say I dictate that, but I think I also just started off sensual and slow anyways. I do a lot of eye contact, a lot of like slow movements. >> Um, it just kind of makes it that way, anyways. >> The, when you're, when you're um, the reason I ask you about the boundaries because just understanding like, particularly with new performers when they come in and feeling the pressure. This is why I always, I'm an, I'm an advocate for being over 21 to join the industry. >> I, I agree with you because honestly, an 18-year-old walking on, I have a 20-year-old daughter, and then just imagine her walking in a room full of grown men at 18. You understand what I'm saying? And, and then >> I don't feel good. I've worked with 18-year-olds, an 18-year-old boy, and two different 18-year-old girls. Um, I will say I worked with Reese May, I think when she was 18 or 19. I didn't feel that uncomfortable working with her, and she's a really sweet girl. But there was another 18-year-old girl that I worked with, and I was like, "Oh, oh no, >> she's not ready for this." >> No. And like I had to do like the whole interview, interviewing or kind of thing. I was like, "Oh, do you like girls?" She's like, "No." And I'm like, >> "Do you really know what you're getting into? Is that what you're [laughter] >> really cool?" >> I don't like 18-year-olds. >> Yeah. [laughter] I'm glad you. So with, with, with, wow. Now, um, 18. Yeah. No, I get it. I get it. I, you, I get it. It's >> uncomfortable. Me and the other girl behind the camera are just like >> Do you, do you? I heard Blake Blossom say this about they flying in town. They have this whole California imagination, like, "I'm going to Hollywood and I'm going to become an adult film star." And then they get on set and they be like, "Yo, time for BG." And she said, one of the girls was like, "Well, what's the BG?" Like, "Girl, you know where you at. You know what industry, what world you in." Have you, you've, you've, you've experienced that where to where they're just the naive, a little delusional >> with her? Yeah. Like not understanding how to take the photos and the directors telling her to do this and that, and she's given a little fight back like, "Well, why would I do that?" And I'm just like, well, because, you know, we got to do this for those reasons. So, I've definitely seen that for sure. >> So, what about the preparation? It's like when you get drafted in the NFL or NBA, hey, you're gonna make X amount of money. You need to watch out for gold diggers. You need to do this. People will sue you, etc. Like, why is there? Is there not like an >> introduction? Well, they >> I always said the industry needs >> I just don't know of anyone who really does do that. >> Do you think it's too much freelance and not it's not organized enough? >> Like with the whole content creators dabbing in, a lot of performers that I've interviewed just do mainstream for a little bit to get their name up, and then they shoot back out. Do you, don't you? Do you think that kind of messes the game up? >> It does a little bit, but I can't hate on someone who's just trying to make a bag. >> Right. Right. Right. I mean, I mean [laughter] >> I, I, Octavia, I, I totally understand. I heard, uh, a young lady, and she got into the game in Florida. I interviewed her, and she said that OnlyFans messed the game up because what happens is a lot of, in particularly with the men, a lot of men are out here just to get satisfied, and they're not here to be an actual performer. >> So, what do you say that OnlyFans has brought in a lot of people that should not be in the industry. Um, there definitely are like male content creators that are not content creators, and they're just trying to get their dick sucked. For sure. >> Right. Right. Um, I think that the female performers should try to make sure that they're good with who they're working with and really vetting them and holding themselves to a higher standard to keep themselves safe. >> Yes. >> Um, I think that's really important [music] as well, 'cause I do think a lot of girls get in these situations that they shouldn't be in because they're like, "Oh, he's got 7K followers on Twitter." And it's like, "Yeah, and like half them are bought." >> Okay. I'm glad you brought that up. Go ahead. Uh, I just, I think >> And like you said, like a lot of them are 18 or 19, and they're a little, you know, naive, maybe, you know, they're not the smartest person out there sometimes. >> We talking girls or the boys? >> Sometimes it's the. Well, I'm talking about girls like working with the wrong guys and like getting in the bad position. So, I definitely think [music] that OnlyFans has brought that >> for sure. Um, >> And that does suck, and I do think it does bring up like the STI that happen. Mmm. So now for Octavia Red, when, when a male performer is in her DMs, what are you looking for to make the deciding factor? 'Cause I've had, uh, yesterday, one girl was like, "Oh, I only work with certain people. I don't care." What do you look for when you're deciding, "Okay, I'll collab with you. I'll work with you"? >> Usually, I don't collab with anyone I haven't worked on set with. >> Okay. Okay. >> Uh, I don't do a lot of content trades, actually. I, I'm getting more into it now. Um, and for me, it's if I've met you is a huge factor. Uh, I'm pretty good at like, a lot of people that I've ignored have had things come out about them, and I knew that they were scummy. I, like, had that inkling. Like, there's just, I have like a very good intuitive [music] gut, and I just followed that. What, what about? Have you ever put somebody on your no list based off of the experience of another one of your peers working with that person and being this side effect, or do you say, "Hey, I need to find, I need to see for myself"? >> It depends on what the issue is. But for me, I'm, that's a hard one. >> Cherry Kiss said yesterday, and I want to get your thoughts on it. She said yesterday that girls are having too much power, and they're getting real good male performers canceled when they shouldn't be canceled like that. Like, she says the game is just messed up. What's your, what's your thoughts on that? >> I kind of agree with her in a way. Like, I've been a part of these group chats and seen, I don't want to get myself in trouble with the ladies out there, but >> Um, truthfully, like, I have seen some girls be like, "Oh, this, this happened to me, and blah, blah, blah." And in my head, I'm thinking like, you never said anything to him, though. >> You're just saying >> You didn't try to solve the problem. You just complain about it rather. Right. >> Yeah. And like, I know the male talent you're talking about, and he is a bit clueless. >> Right. >> So like, yeah, he probably did you, and you didn't like it. But is it his fault that you didn't like it if you didn't say something? >> So you, 'cause you've experienced, you're like, "Okay, you just didn't tell him." If you would have informed him, you know, because you've worked with that performer, if you just got >> If you had told him, like, "You know what? Now that I'm here at your house, and like, I don't feel comfortable here, I think I'm going to go home." >> I don't think he would have blocked her way leaving. I think he would have let her go, but she didn't say anything. She still went through with it. So, it's like, well, he's not a [ __ ] mind reader. >> Yeah. >> You know, like, his house is dirty. You don't want to shoot there. That's a different story, but that doesn't mean he's a bad person 'cause he doesn't know how to clean his house. Mmm. Um, I, I heard, and I, I know he's a male performer of the year, and he's well-established in the industry, when we had him on the show for the second time last year, Isaiah Maxwell talked about how much he pays attention to the woman's body when he's performing, right? And, but I would think that all male performers, and in her response yesterday, the lady that was asked about it, she said, "Well, I don't think if he's at that point where he's doing all this work, and he doesn't understand that, then we have a problem." How, how do you, when you're dealing with less experienced male performers, do you kind of have to guide them on paying attention to your body and what to see, or do they naturally pick it up? Like, what, what is your take when it comes to that? >> Um, like I said, I'm really lucky. I don't work with a lot of newer male performers. Uh, I'm just fortunate that way. Um, I tend to work with more new girls, and I have to like, kind of place them and throw them around, and I take the males part usually. But with a guy like >> I, yeah, of course, you like grab my tit, like squeeze my waist, like look at me like >> Um, I definitely have to guide them. But I'm just more of a very intimate, passionate person, and I think that you get locked in, and you go into a >> matter real performer. [laughter] Uh, Tavia Red joining us on the Bougie Show. Um, the negotiate. I know we talked about boundaries. How much negotiation goes down with the director on set prior to filming? Like, as far as negotiating on what we're doing, and do they give you the freedom to implement things or to be a little creative, or is it just boom, boom, boom, you have to go by the script? >> Depends on the set. Um, depends on the company. It depends on the director, and it depends on what they're looking for. Like, is it, is it a Gonzo scene? Is it a scripted scene? Am I playing a character? Would it be out of character for me to do some X, Y, and Z? Like, I love to be choked and have my hair pulled, but >> That might not be >> by the cover. Like, you just took a life into the style? >> I grew up on old black and white movies, like old Hollywood movies, like Audrey Hepburn, Maureen O'Hara. Um, Marilyn, of course. Um, Cherry was going off on that too about how how fake people are, and, and, and, and I've sensed a little bit in, and in, and, and dealing with California, but how do you go about weaving it out? What's genuine and authentic from what's not? >> Um, how I feel around you? Like, can I actually have a genuine conversation with you where I don't feel like you're fronting in front of me? >> Do I have to watch what I say? Like, I catch the look in your eyes, like, are you doing, you know, like that's, you know. >> Damn. Damn. Um, how does Octavia Red deal with stalkers these days? >> Uh, with a smile. >> Okay. So you, you ever had it? Do you get more of the stalking from online, or is it in person? >> Um, I more online. >> Okay. >> I don't really get it too. I would be really hard to stalk me in person. I'm never in one place very long. [laughter] >> You move like a criminal. >> Yeah. Everybody I know that don't stay in a place too long, they usually do participate in criminal activity. So that's what I I miss the whole Miami circuit. So I've never gone to Miami. I I never experienced that. So I've just worked in Vegas and LA and I mean sure there's some sets they don't have it. But for the most part they're all pretty professional and they have all of it.
