Hello, welcome back to the channel. In this video, I show you how to create Google Gemini API key and connect it to NAM. Let's dive in.
Oké, first step is to go to Google AI Studio. You find the link in the video description. Sign in with your account and you hit the landing page. As you see right here, Google AI Studio has a free tier to test different models. If you exceed the limit of the free tier, you need to set up a billing account in Google Cloud.
Head over on the top right to get API key. On the left side you see usage and billing. We don't have set up yet. You need to do that in Google Cloud. Head back to API keys and on the top right, create API key. My first project create API key in existing project. Now you have your API key. Copy it.
Go to NM. There are two ways to connect a credential in NM. I find the most easy one within an project or workflow. If you don't have workflow yet, create a new workflow. Already existing one. I choose this one. This is the start of a workflow. For the sake of this video, we gna add a trigger. And on the right, we gonna choose on chat message. Leave this node. Hit the plus icon to add an AI agent. Choose on the right AI. AI agent. Leave the note. This is your basic setup to create an AI agent.
Hit the plus icon chat model on the right you see all the different AI models. Choose for Google Gemini and credential to connect with. You choose create new credential. Always keep organized. I highly recommend to give it a name so we can remember. Host. Leave it as it is. API key. You paste the API key you just made in Google AI studio. Hit save. G test successfully leave this leave the note you now see is connected.
We tested with the chat on the bottom. Open chat. Hello, how are you today? And responded, "Hello, as I the AI, I don't experience feelings like being well or unwell, but I'm ready and functioning perfectly. How can I help you today?" So it worked perfectly.
