KRISTEN HANCHER SAYS EX BOYFRIEND STOLE HER MONEY - IMPAULSIVE EP. 21

IMPAULSIVE49:58

Transcription

When we broke up, I saw that he was stealing like thousands of dollars from me. I'm like, "Yo, I'm gonna sue your ass." He's like, "Well, if you do that, I'm gonna sue you for common-law marriage and take half of everything you own."

[Music]

Try deep breathing. It worked for me. I'm gonna do this like three deep breaths. Hi, I only got time for one. Welcome back to Impulsive, the number one podcast in the toilet. It's okay. It's a Monday. It's all right. Bro, I'm like tired and nervous. Guys, we have a very special guest today. She's sitting to my right. She designs roller coasters. She discovered a species of crustacean. Wow. And she is a real-life, walking flavor of ice cream. Guys, it's Kristin Hancher. Hey, Kristin. Thank you for having me. Of course. Thanks for coming.

So, um, I know you just got back from the Dominican Republic. Yeah. How was that? You travel a lot. Um, yeah, recently I've been traveling like a shit-ton. I don't like planes at all, so that's a problem for me. But other than that, like, but it's fun. It's really fun. I worked with kids and all that [ __ ].

So when you say that, what do you mean? Like, I painted their houses. Like, we play, like, baseball. We gave them, like, toys and stuff. Was it a, like, a philanthropic trip? Mmm, kind of. Yeah, but we all just found kids and painted their houses. Or that? No, no, no, no. That was all planned. And then we did, like, the cool stuff too, like a TV right, a driving.

Did you surf? No. You know there's a dog in the Dominican Republic who can surf? A dog? My dog can't do that. We can't do really anything. Is cute eating right now? That. Oh, there's just a little deer antler. We got him. Would you just find that? Like, you found Pete? Yeah. Yeah, it was in our Big Sur trip. A lot of things happen. It was a mystical. But yeah, I wanna, I don't wanna, I wanna focus on on you, Kristin. The Dominican. What else did you do? Cuz I, I went there once. Like I said, I have some protein. There's probably not similar stories to yours.

Uh, well, I got attacked by a parrot. Yeah. Those are big berries. That's very on-brand for you. One hurt or two? I saw video. Was it my parrot? Well, I was trying to take a photo with a parrot, you know? Yeah. I do know. Yes. And I put it on my head and it almost flew away with my wig. So that was fun. Did you try maybe painting its house first? He probably, probably been nicer. Yeah. Oh, lordy. Oh, wait, wait. Okay. He almost flew away with your wig? Yeah. I have a video of it and everything. Is that a wig? Yeah. Wait. Wow. Yeah.

So, so that's how you change your hair so frequently? I did. Yeah. These are all wigs. Yeah. The neon green was a wig. Yeah. Dude, if I was changing my hair color every day, wouldn't you one of my questions? No, seriously. One of my questions was, how many times can you change your hair color before you have no hair anymore?

Um, so I've been there, done that. Really? Wait, what happened? Well, so pretty much, I was into the whole, like, I want my hair red one day and pink another. And I thought my hair was invincible. It wasn't. Classic. So it was actually stayed really healthy for quite a while. And then I just want to get my roots done. And it was like a blondish, silvery color. And when I got my roots done, the guy who did it bleached off all my hair. So like, half my hair was like this short and like the other quarter of my hair was like this long. So just wasn't a perfect look. It was not a look. So the next day, I was like, yeah, I know what I need to do. And I went to my hair guy. I'm like, shave my, what is it? Shave? Is your hair shaved? No, what's under that? My hair. Much of it. It's actually like at a good length right now. It's like, like dope. That's cute. Yeah. But I was just like, I was like, you know, just shave my hair. Like, I'm, I don't give a [ __ ]. Like, I don't care. And he's like, well, I'm not gonna shave your head because I know you're gonna regret it. I'll just give you a pixie cut. I'm like, bet. So bad.

Wait, so are you, you just had to give your hair a little bit of a break? Forever? Yeah, I'm just gonna let it grow naturally. And not in. That's boring. So that's why I wear the wigs because like, I can do whatever I want. It's also your brand. That's why I called you a real-life flavor of ice cream. You're changing colors and. Yep. And changing your Instagram feed. Oh, yeah. In fact, I wasn't sure I'd recognize you when you walked in today. But I did. You did. Thank the land. Yep. Thank you.

So, so what's the theory with that? Because how often are you just like, literally changing the entire aesthetic of your Instagram? Oh God, if it, if it didn't hurt my brand and brand deals and all that, I would probably do it every day because like, I'm always changing, you know? Like, I'm always wanting to improve, I guess. So one day I'll wake up and like, oh, be like, oh, I just want to wipe everything out and start fresh. But let's like me every day. Did you have a favorite color? Guys, we're looking at Kristen's Instagram here and still like blonde, blonde, blonde. Seems like a staple. But you're naturally blonde? Yeah. No, no, no. This is like my natural hair color. Wait, wait. You're brunette? Oh, man. But okay, you have some wacky colors here. Like, there's this like light, pillowy rose gold. This one. This was the one that threw me. Yeah, that one was fun. It was a moment. But I don't think that's like, not an everyday thing for sure. Neon. You said that was? I saw that you said that was inspired by something you saw, wasn't it? Oh, God, I don't remember. Candy. Yeah, that was fun.

Um, has anyone tried to consume you? Okay, like, genuinely consume me? Uh, you know, no one's tried to nibble on the hair. No. Thankfully. Are your fans crazy? Because, okay, so fun fact, I don't even give you like credentials. Kristen, correct me if I'm wrong, weren't you like one of the biggest, if not the biggest, Muse on Musical.ly users? Yeah, in the world. Yeah. How many did you have on there before it got shut down? Um, I think like 20 to 23 million. Oh, no. I don't, I don't have that many on any single one of my platforms. Yeah, a lot of people. Yeah, I mean, uh, oh God, I, I stopped using the app about like nine months ago. I just post like, oh, check out my YouTube video every now and then. Was that, was that before it got shut down? No, it never got shut down. And they changed their whole brand and they changed it to TikTok. Mother. So yeah, it's a meme and a half right now. Yeah, I just, like, I didn't want to be known for lip-syncing. Like, that's not [Applause]. And everybody watch them like your fan? No, no, no. Everybody wants 22 million fans were super into it. A fact, you don't have a lot of people. It's more people than you have on anyone. That's what I just said. So don't try to insult me.

Yeah, so, okay, when, alright, it transitioned to TikTok. Yeah. You keep your followers or did they strip them from you? Like, I was stripped from my Vine followers. Yeah. That's god-blessed. No, pretty much. There was an existing app called TikTok. And when Musical.ly went under new management, they also owned the app TikTok. So they said, hey, we're gonna blend TikTok and Musical.ly together and just make it TikTok. Because TikTok, I think, was like for the Asian community. So they just merged them together. Was it, was it Musical.ly China-based? I'm pretty sure. Yeah. Shanghai. Yes. But it was more popular in the US. Yeah. But it was worldwide. But yeah.

So what's the difference between Musical.ly and TikTok? So Musical.ly was more of like the whole, like lip-syncing, transitions. You know, TikTok is more challenges and quirky stuff. Yeah. What you got here in front of you? But wait, TikTok, I've seen that they've done a lot of brand deals with influencers. Yeah, kind of a little bit. Which is like, I've been with them for so long, like working with them. And like, they started reaching out to like random people, like never use their app to promote it. And they've never like done anything for me. I just like, there were so many things why I stopped using the app. One, it's just like, I'm 19, dude. Like, it's just a little too much. It's still young. Kristen. I think J Alvarez did a thing. I think he did. Yeah. Hey, what do you think of that J Alvarez, by the way? Haha. I met him not too long ago. He's chill, I guess. He'll. Any other, any other words to describe him? Yeah, just chill. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, J, you are super sexy, dude. He's dope.

But okay, TikTok. Yeah, they've reached out to to me. I was gonna do something with them at one point. And now I guess I'm doing it for free. So [ __ ] me, TikTok. I'll send you an invoice. Yeah. No, but I see a lot of, a lot of influencers doing some pretty cringe-ass content promoting TikTok. Um, does it have anything to do with like being yourself? Because I saw one that was like, what influencers are really trying to like convince people that TikTok was like a place you just be? Yeah, it's goddamn. I, I just, I couldn't stomach being on that app anymore because it's just like, it turned into like, the only way you would blow up or like gain was if you're doing their challenges. And their challenges were just like, a little much for me. I have pulled up here an ultimate TikTok cringe compilation. I don't know what this is gonna be like. I've never watched this. It's not gonna be great. But okay, perfect. Let's see. Okay, am I gonna get copyright for using this song? Yeah, maybe. That was enough. Bye. Yeah, I was crazy. Look, the point is, is what's the audience here? The main audience? And it used to be kids. And that's how I built up my fan base, right? Everyone was like, what, 12 to 9? Right? Backwards. Now, when's it change to TikTok? There's like, a lot of older people on it. Really? Really? You did, you did one on Musical.ly with Nicki Minaj. Now, that's, that's not cringe. That one was, that one was cool. Like, how did that happen? So pretty much, um, Musical.ly was working with Nicki to promote her new music video, "No Frauds," when it was first coming out. Yeah. And they said, they pretty much asked her, hey, like, pick three people off Musical.ly you genuinely enjoy to come to your music video shoot to create content with them and all that. And I was one of them. And then there was Baby Ariel and Re. We're pretty flattered. I think you chose you. Oh, yeah. Like, she's my favorite rap artist. Favorite artist of all time besides Billie. I love Chef Billie. Yeah. So, yeah, she, she's such a genuinely sweet human being. And like, we still talk to this day. Like, it was so cool. Like, yeah. When she fought Cardi, or when Cardi B threw the shoe at her, did you? What were your thoughts on that? I mean, it is what it is. Like, I'm not. Did you want Nicki to beat Cardi's ass? No, I mean, I don't really care to be honest. I'm just like, I soak in the drama and I'm just observing. I'm a car thief. And so that's why. Yeah, I'm on Nicki. I still love Cardi. I'm team Nicki. [ __ ] with you.

I noticed, I noticed that you were kind of rolling your eyes quite a bit when talking about TikTok and Musical.ly. So, yeah, is there like an evolution beyond this platform now that you're more excited about? Its you think that was it? That was, yeah, like the past. So right now, I'm thinking about opening my own clothing line. I just had a meeting about doing a wig line. And then music. Music is a big one. So I'm signed to a label right now. What's the label? So it's a little bit confusing. I'm working with 10k Projects, which allows me to reach out to Capitol, Universal, Republic. So I can, I'm pretty much working with all three at the same time. That's that new age musical deal type stuff. Yeah, truth. More options. Yeah. It doesn't lock you in. You can use like the A&R and like the producers from each record label. Yeah, that's great.

Wait, so music, like, you, you sing? They were saying, yeah, getting their singing lessons. So when I first moved to LA, um, my heart was set on set on acting. I went to school for acting. That's what I thought you were gonna do. You remember when I reached out to you? I was like, yo, you have like really big facial expressions and like your, your depth, you have an energy that is like, I haven't seen it before, quite frankly. So where did that shift? Yes. So, um, I tried the whole acting thing and it just, I guess it just wasn't for me. I just don't like the long hours on set. I just, it stresses me out a little bit. I feel like music, you have a lot more freedom to do what you want as well. But when I first got into music, I was, it wasn't really my choice. It was just kind of like, everyone telling me, oh, going to music, just give it a shot. Like, alright. So I, I absolutely hated it at first. Hated it. Music? Yeah. Why? I just, I'm very, my hardest critic, you know? And I just like, I'm not a singer. I'm not a singer. But over time, as I did lessons and like studio sessions, I actually have one tonight. I got more comfortable with it. Now I love it. I love it. Yeah.

You have a song? I have a bunch that are unreleased. Do you want to sing one right now? No. Have you played? What about? Have you played like three seconds? Everyone so we don't get copyright from you. Into the mic. I care. Yeah, I did not want to hear you. I could play you a few seconds of like a beat that I just got that helps. That I'm writing a song. You wanna do? Yeah. Can I hear? I want it. I want to hear that guy. I just want to know what she's getting into because all these, all these creators, they have the thing that like starts them. And then it's like the challenge of where do I go from here? You can't, you're there, post selfies for the rest of your life. It's just not gonna be a thing with that, you know? Yes. Yes. I've seen it done before. If you keep changing the color of your hair. Yeah. I wanna, I want to hear the beat. Yeah. Can we freeze all over it? Yeah, we should get. Hey, man, watch this. We should get to in quantify. Jake, wanna get over here? These piece of gum. I definitely can't freestyle though. Should we have them freestyle? Whoo. Who gave you this beat? I'm so, I'm working with a bunch of producers. So every studio session, I'll go in and they'll create a beat like in front of me. This is, this is funny. We got two of the hottest young rappers in the game. Really? Yeah. Yeah. Staying at our house. The names of JIT and Quan. And they've been making beats in our studio. But, uh, y'all hop in here, guys. Is this like a hip-hop beat? What boys? No, I'm really into EDM. Che. We'll see you guys later. Have a good way. It's kind of, kind of sort of. If I could, if I can even find it at this point, it's just going way, way down. I never really saved my numbers. So it's kind of a guessing game. Did you save Logan's number? I did. I did. Look. Yeah. Hey, something to think about. You guys know TikTok? Do you watch TikTok? Ever heard of Musical.ly? Oh God, it's like, it's like, I don't know, dude. She was big on it. You ever heard of Nicki Minaj? Guys, like Nicki or Cardi? That's my card. We may have a problem about that. I mean, should we just play J.I.T. and Quan's beat? Because they came here. Absolutely. I mean, we just make them a beat. Now, hey, I know, I think I gotcha. I got this. But they need a mic. Yeah. Wait, here. One of you guys can come sit in my spot. Cory, are you guys from both? Yeah. Yeah. Do you want to hit yourself? You take it off. Hey, is that how the elbows are there? You can sit down. You want a swan? Get on. [Music] Takes over the fog. [Music] Yeah, just a couple moves, you know. I'mma get it. You know what I recommend on my 50 interface? I said these haters resending but telling me worry about that many feelings. I'm no longer steady tasting beans. You just want the money, the fame can wait anywhere, buddy. Girls decided to be women. I went outside because I gotta get it. Tasting a bag on the road to riches. Get to the money. You know that said Michy's keep on our next party here at the main. But if you dig easy, slick on my team. 30 years owing and killing the game. A million Billy. I feel that. Lil Wayne for loving the land. Bet you go scream if it cost me a ban on taking the scene. She love my smile because they go bling. Not only with watches, like, don't wear the ring. She flutters out, girl. Can't forget by the team. Even the Jung-hwan woman attained by the Yale inches away from my friends. You know I miss its. If I'm riding my main body, the being it up in the frame. Miss keep on the laces. Remember that name. Wow. Holy. Yeah, you're cheating. You can do that. Damn. All right, get him. [ __ ] yeah. [Music] Adam. Yeah, everybody knows we get in to win it. He never knocked me off my pivot. Gonna be 22 and be rich like I'm Emmitt. You know, if I said it, you noted that minute. Pull up on him in the coupe in his tenant. Pull up to the shore. My itouch woody. Got something to say. Nobody couldn't hit no one read up. But I look like a [ __ ] I am. No use it does on the reason it watch it. It is not even close. Faded before them. I want you to host a level legit. Don't cut by the coast. Care about a lot. Number one is my fam. Know I'm a guy. The reason I stand. Number two, you gotta be making the ban. Na TV show. No money in hand. My wife and I parted the clan. If I come on struck, that's the part of their playing a GPS. Pay follow me on the ground. You're up now. You still gonna be a fan. Furnace and I. They gonna call me to go criminal. Buddies over it means. I hope how much you flattered. I remember do cause I'm feeling the boat. While you staying afloat. They see bu teachers like si surprised. The best of my back is giving me the horizon. Tougher, fresher than I better Bob and 95. Some already. That's my time. I call it perfect time. And not adjacency. Natural time to pitch you. Emilio. People say that's a magnificent. [Music] What's that Instagram? Not in the mic. All right. Hey, hey. Thanks, guys. Sorry, sorry. They steal your spotlight. No, that was amazing. I was here for it. Impressive young men. Yeah. Who's a crew nowadays? Are you rolling with? Um, so I have like, I bought my friend from Canada. So I brought her out from Canada. And now she's like living with me. And then I have my other roommate. You all live together? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She lives with me. And then I have another roommate as well. He's on social media and all that. And then my cousin Reagan. Beast. I know him. You do. Because of you. Because of me. Mmm. Yeah. Didn't he do Musical.ly? Yeah. They're not really a Musical.ly squad. And they're more just like, you all did. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Sounds like a Musical.ly. Okay. But not anymore though. Because Musical.ly's not out. Our IP. Yeah. Well, I mean, it's just funny. I know what it's like, bro. I know when laughs, erm, you started on. Yeah. Just disappears into the ether. All right. It's not v2. Never happens. Oh, yeah. I was, I was kind of cheesed about that, to be honest. Sign to. Yeah, that never happened. Wanted you back. Seven. Look, we're all a little older than you. Yeah. From 23 to 19. Mike's 19. 12. Yep. What is? I was cheesed about that. We're used to cheesed about that. Wasn't mean pissed. Yeah. I thought Matt likes like Nazis. That's true. That's cheesin'. Cheesed. Yeah. You still talk to Lauren Grey? Uh, yeah. You got beef? Oh, yeah, you do. It literally is. No Lauren. Whoa. Lauren? Really? No, like, there's nothing. Is there cheese? Nah, nah. There's literally no beef. We just like, you guys grew apart. Enough friends. But like, that's not even that deep. This for some cheese, dude. I just don't talk anymore. Like that. Nothing happened. We never really did. Okay. Who do you got some beef and cheese with? Okay, that works. Um, I don't, man. There's gotta be someone out there that ruffles your feathers. It could be me if you want. I've had past beef, but I squashed that. That's good. Always, always good to squash beef. What about with Jacob Sartorius? Because he's, he's coming on Wednesday, actually. Oh, yeah. I mean, I went to his, he invited me to his a concert when a year, a year ago. Did you go? Yeah. Yeah. That was pretty much it. Like, yeah, we're probably pretty boring in the drama realm of things. I don't really have a lot of beef. But did you see the YouTube Rewind? Oh, did you? Yeah. You gotta have some people with that. Yeah, everyone has people. [ __ ] Why did you think of it? Just like, it was so forced. The whole thing. It was just like, it was just like bad. Full circle. Like, I, I bet you feel the same. I don't know. It was just, yeah, you know, I don't know. It's, I got, I don't want to bite the hand that feeds me. But then again, like, yeah, [ __ ] suck. Shits be gonna be fun. Urine. There was some beef with the big dog this weekend. Yeah. You too. Yeah. Yeah. Just because actually this channel, Impulsive, um, was our videos were being reloaded frame for frame, no idol for title, thumbnail for thumbnail, everything. Billions of views with no repercussions. One of the videos actually almost had more views than the original video on our channel. And just my, um, my beef came because I was like, politely, not publicly, asking you like, can we fix this, please? Files, request filed, copyright complaints, did everything I needed to do, follow system. 24 hours later, so they're 40 hours later, still there. One of the videos is actually going viral on their channel. So I'm like, [ __ ] dude, this, this video probably made five to ten thousand dollars that's not on my channel, right? And nothing was done about it. So I tweeted at them and a lot of, a lot of creators apparently were like, yo, this has happened to me too. It's [ __ ] this, this. I mean, it's tough because like, I think it's just a volume thing. Like YouTube, dude, it's hard to be YouTube, dude. It's hard to be. Yeah, you know why this is? It's not unsettled. But my a problem I'm still having, and sorry, we're so far on a tangent. Yeah, are we? But a problem we're still having is like, so again, they probably made five to ten thousand dollars worth of money from the videos. And I had the option to either claim the videos and take the money, right? Or remove them from the, the platform. If I took the money, the videos would still be on the channel. Yeah. And that channel would be gaining subscribers. That should be directed to this channel, right? So I had the videos removed. But now five to ten thousand dollars is gone. That essentially we earned because it's our content, right? And apparently that's refunded back to the advertisers, not paid to the rightful content creator. Which again, is a bit of a, a qualm I have with, with the entire system. But it's interesting. So interesting stuff. They, I, politely, they apologized. That channel, by the way, did you see that apology? Isn't, ah, the long one? I did see the apology. Yeah. Just don't do it. Don't do it ever again. Maybe. Yo, it's, it's one thing if you do it like one time. And then two times. Then seven times. Then you see the copyright complaint and you decide to leave the videos up. Right before T it out. Like, because when someone submits a copyright complaint against your channel, you see it immediately. Then YouTube takes the necessary action that they deem appropriate. And they saw and they're like, ah, now we could still probably get away with it. Just kind of sucks.

Yeah. Speaking of platforms, when you jumped from, when you jumped onto Instagram, did you experience any difficulties or like, what was that journey like? No, because I played it kind of smart. When I start gaining a lot of Musical.ly, I would transfer all my followers to Instagram. Hence why I do have a good reach on Instagram. 4 million, by the way. 5.5. 5.5. 4 million on YouTube? No, YouTube's another story. Oh, it's [ __ ] suck. I'm sorry. You're fine. It's Monday. Close enough. 5.5. Yeah. But you know, on that. No, yeah. Person. We, we watched you like grow up. Mmm. In real time. Like go from Musical.ly to, by the way, like, come, become kind of like, you got like a little bit of swag on your answer. I'm gonna keep it. Yeah. What, at what point did you decide, I think I'm gonna start showing like a more mature Christian to my audience? Well, the thing is, I've always, I've always been that person. But like, when I first started out, I was so young, you know? Yeah. And I didn't, I didn't think it was appropriate to be posting the stuff that I'm posting now, you know, when I was 16. And it became a problem because now that I'm doing what I want and more me than I've ever been, people are saying, oh, like, we miss the old 2016 Kristen. But like, that was never me. That was just a face I was putting on because I was new to social media and I didn't know how things worked, you know? So I just, you know, people tell me all the time, they say, uh, say like, yo, we miss the old logo. Yeah. But Impulsive specifically, I see a lot of comments like, but okay, so you're very smart. And also, I think it's dope that you can finally transition into you being you on the internet. Something I'm trying to do actually with this show. Like I just said. But okay, so this picture, for example, like, I'm, I'm curious. Do stretch? Because this is, this is impressive. Your legs sometimes I worry for your hamstrings and your legs are often in positions that I are unfathomable to most people. So I used to, I used to be a gymnast and then a dancer. And then so I, I had like a six-pack when I was like six, you know? Yeah. But that's pretty much leftovers from when I was a kid. Now I'm lazy. But yeah. Wait, you do workout? No, that's, yeah, no, that's literally. I look like a mini bodybuilder when I was little. So that's just kind of like there now. I don't really have to work for it. Really? Great. Yeah. Must be [ __ ] nice. I mean, I'm not complaining. How do you eat? How are your eating habits? I eat like crap. What's your favorite fast food? Pizza. Yesterday. You know, you know, have you ever had pizza anywhere besides California? Yes. Where? Like New York. Okay. I'm just making sure. New Haven, Connecticut. A real pizza here. So yeah.

Getting into beauty. You know, a lot of, we, there was a couple comments up. I saw like, you get, you definitely get a lot of hate when you're this one. No makeup, LMAO. Someone said, no makeup, LMAO. All I see is makeup. Like the [ __ ] and you responded. Yeah, bro. I can never win. I post a pic with makeup and y'all call me a fake Barbie. Supposed to pick without makeup and according to you, I'm still wearing makeup. Yeah, you can't really win with people. Everyone always has a pinion, opinion about you. You can't really please everyone. So whatever, I'm just gonna do what I want to do. And if you don't like it, then why are you following me? You know?

How do you differentiate between hate and like critique? Because a lot of that [ __ ] is just hate. Like, we see that stuff all the time and people are just negative on the internet. I don't see a lot of, like, if they're gonna critique you, you can usually tell it's not in a negative demeanor. You know? But, but sometimes, especially the young audience, not has to be, they just don't know. Example, you, Mike, when we first started this show, everyone's like, Mike's loud and he talks over the guests too much. Logan, you talk over the guests too much. But it's like, sure, it's, it could sometimes be perceived as rooted in negativity. But like, at the end of the day, it's just critique. So guess what? We started doing. Sit back, let the guests talk. Which again, is still like a learning process for us. But Mike's, that's it. That's a good question. You ever listen to to haters or people who may come across as negative and take that to make your page better? Oh, yeah. 100%. I mean, it's kind of what you have to do as an influencer to grow and improve and kind of please your audience. But as I was saying before, even if you see a critique, you're like, oh, like, this is what the public wants. And you go ahead and you try that out. And there's gonna be someone else who's gonna say, oh, we don't like that. You know? So it's very, you kinda just have to trust your gut most of the time with this kind of stuff. But also listen to your audience because they're the best. Of course, it is. Yes.

When you post a picture like this, mm-hmm, and you caption it, "You're my favorite." Uh-huh. Who's your favorite? You're lying. No, I, I literally don't. Who's your favorite? Um, you own. You're my favorite. You don't mean that. You're lying. Thank you. She's in a park. So it might have been an animal too. Holding the bird. I'm always just curious because like, I, and I do this too, you know, how you post like ambiguous captions and you like make the audience feel like you're like talking about them. Thank you. Just like a little. Speaking of boyfriend, you're still dating? I mean, you kind of just jumped right in. But look, we're here. We're here. We're here. Wait, hold up. Hey, you're not dating this guy? No. What happened? Oh, so much. Oh, if you want to hear tea, still where all the tea is. Pretty much. It was a really toxic relationship throughout the entire thing. Can I, can I preface the audience who may not know the significance of this relationship? No, go for it. You were together for how long? Almost three years. And you, and so you started dating when you were 16. Yeah. Before you were this really internationally famous girl. Yeah. And you moved to LA together. Yeah. And got a house together. Yeah. And lived with each other. We also lived in Toronto, like together, like at the age of 16. Yeah. Like this is, this is a, mmm, tricky situation. That's why I'm very surprised. Actually, no, not surprised, but I'm, it's over, right? Okay. So continue. This. It is. They're rooted in each other's, essentially. So. Sorry. No, you're fine. It was just a really toxic relationship. And he was just way too immature. One, two, he would make everything a bigger problem than it needed to be. And three, the only reason I don't think I ended it sooner was because I felt comfortable with being stuck with someone. All you know, it was just more of a, I'm comfortable with you, not more of like, I like you as a person, like, I want to spend my time with you. And I was nervous to like, kind of go out my comfort zone because I pretty much grew up with this cake, you know? Like, that's the thing. But now that, like, that's done, like, I haven't been more happy than now. Good for you. Thank you. [ __ ] next dude. Yes. Fresh out of that. There's a lot of people, you know, including myself, that got into relationships really young, into, like, high school, middle school, when you're growing up, right? What are your tips for that? Like, there's always those people that when I was in the relationship, like, yo, don't do that. And then I, you don't listen. But yeah, so if you don't really know anyone else, you, you're just thinking, oh my god, like, this guy's like perfect on that [ __ ]. And if you're with someone for that amount of time, living every single day together, you know, it wasn't just like, oh, like, I'll see you, like, after school or whatever. It's like, we wake up together, we go grocery shopping together. And this is when we're like, 16, you know? Yes. Why didn't you live with your parents? I mean, it just came to a point where I was commuting from Milton, my hometown, to Toronto, where my school was. And that was like 50 minutes to an hour every day. So finally, I was just like, you know, why, like, um, I'm over at his place all the time. I might as well just get an apartment here. So I did that. When you were 16? It's amazing. You got an apartment with your boyfriend at 16. Yeah. What do your parents think of that? They're just like, okay, don't really. Well, his parents think they're the ones who helped co-sign because when you're 16, can't get an apartment. Parents. My parents would have literally chop my balls off before let me do that. I mean, yeah, I've always been pretty independent. And at that point, I just like, we'll see what happens. Oh, Kristen, scenario for you. You guys stayed in Toronto. You didn't, you didn't move to LA. Yeah. Are you guys still together? No. It's LA lifestyle because LA is a hard place to [ __ ] days. That's true. That's very. Did, because I saw you guys when I first saw you, I saw him too. And I said, this girl's about to blow up. I was like, she's gonna leave this dude behind. It wasn't even about like me blowing up. It's just like, he, I kind of put him into this lifestyle, per se, you know? Like, and I don't think that was his path as well, you know? I don't think he was ever really meant to do this. He's just kind of thrown into it. And that's like another things I'm still creating like to see. Because by the way, I think I'm about to say the same thing you were. Sure. He, he almost took your lead and did very similar things to you. He dyed his hair. Mmm-hmm. And then he would pose like you. And a lot of his stuff looked exactly like yours. I started noticing that. Thought it was weird. Yeah. But like, I don't know. I feel what you sort of like drag them into like YouTube. Yeah. I mean, he doesn't do social media anymore because I guess like, scare him off. At Kristen, thank you. Next time. Too hard? Huh? I mean, a lot of [ __ ] went down during the whole breakup. Islands. Oh, it's just a long story. Like, just so, so much [ __ ]. Sorry, my phone's like going off. Yeah. I only know what I get from Famous Birthdays, which by the way, the most accurate source. No, but he's not doing social media anymore. It's just like, not his path. But before he opted off social media, he decided to go on YouTube and make like a 50-minute long video. What happened? Video. Yeah. But just pretty much like manipulating the audience and dragging me to the dirt, you know? First want to make the video wins. First, right? If you did? I did. I didn't make a video at all. I mean, I can't have used it. His get, like, he, he doesn't have that many subscribers. And it got like 60k. Okay, like, you're fine. That's like one of his most viewed videos. Like stole my. Yeah. But just very true. Yeah. Yeah. I hear you though. It's not, it's not fun to see manipulation. Now, on the other side is. Yeah. And I like, only him and I know the truth. So him telling his version of the truth to all my fans because all my fans are his fans. If that makes any sense. Well, hopefully they see this and are like, yo, this again. Two sides to every story. It came to a point where I was just like, he was like taking money from me and all that. [ __ ]. Wait, wait. Was he a manager? No, no, no, no. Was did he do anything with your business? He, hmm, he didn't really have a job. So he, he, he got a couple brand deals here and there that were like, had to be intertwined with me because he was having a no to to visa off of my O one. So it got really confusing because his credit card was signed under my bank account. Like, we, we had to share everything. He owned half the car. He owned half the house. Yeah. So when, well, when we broke up, I saw that he was stealing like thousands of dollars from me. I, I'm like, yo, I'm gonna sue your ass. He's like, well, if you do that, I'm gonna sue you for common-law marriage and take half of everything. Into it. This was not a. You guys are no longer friends? No. Stan. Okay. So right now, are you like dating? Are you back in the game? I'm like, seeing someone. How long's that been going on for? I don't know. Next. Next. What's it been? What's it been like dating in LA? LA like versus chilling? My process of getting over someone. I'm not really an emotional person. I'm just like, peace out. Like, I'm gonna go with my best life. So I, I broke up with this guy of three years and I'm just like, yeah, I'm gonna go out every night, just have a good night. And like, and take it day by day. And that's pretty much what I did. And how to sign those 19. T knew. Like, and when you say go out, yeah, like parties, enjoy. What do you know? No, I mean, I'm not really a big club person. Yeah, I mean, it's hard when you're not 21, yeah, because like, the only clubs I can get into or like 18. Let's start calling them out. No, but yeah, but when I'm traveling and I'm going to like places like Paris and all that [ __ ] like their clubs are dope. Oh, yeah. Oh, you just got back from Paris? Uh, that was kind of sort of. It was like, maybe I don't know, like a month ago. Mothered you. Okay. I, what's been your craziest club experience? Definitely Paris. Paris was like unreal. What happened? I don't know. We literally went to a different club every night. And like, I was dying because I know I had to wake up early in the morning, do like interviews. Oh, yeah. And we would be up to like 5 a.m. in the morning. And I would just be like, oh God, I'm not looking forward to waking up like 9 a.m. tomorrow. But yeah, we know what that mean. Yeah, it is what it is. Good time. And you got your makeup in in time? Like, how long did that take in between from club and to getting stuff done? I don't know, man. Work hard, play hard. I respect that. Yeah. Did you ever show up with like lipstick on your eyebrows? I hope not. Like, wow. This is this is unique. This is good. It's a new look. I'm a good thing. Yeah. Do you have any tattoos? No, but when I was in the DR, I was almost convinced to get a tattoo. You DR to make him work. I'm a funny Dominican story. Oh, yeah. Tell me. It's real short. Mmm-hmm. Do I hear a vacuum? What in God's name? Our nation's. It's the maids. They're good. They're good girls. I love them. Shut up. The maids. Shout out maids. Shout out maids. Amazing. Good making. Um, speaking of the maids, they've had, they've probably pounded some crazy [ __ ]. Oh, no, no. Nothing books. Lots of them. Yeah. Just books and handles. Those handles? Really? Logan? Yeah. Face something else. They've uncovered. What I would love to hear this. No, no, I have to go. So it's just back to the Dominican. And if what guys are wondering, both Mike and Logan have caused some interesting situations for these maids. Oh, yeah. So in the Dominican, hide. I've tied a series of wet towels together because when they're wet, you know how you can tie hard or not? Like, why? Hold on a second. Huh? I threw it over a two-story balcony. Okay. I climbed down. Okay. And went to go hook up with a 34-year-old mother. Wow. Wow. Why did you climb out? Why didn't you just walk out the door? Walk out. Did she try to do that? The reason for that is stringing towels together sounded like more fun. I mean, yeah, that's wrong. The kind of stuff you see in the movies, I guess. I don't know. Was it kind of like you wanted to impress her? Like, hey, I'm a superhero. Yeah. Yeah. You look a little. Did she try to shake the towels after if they like, throw them in the dryer and say, honey, your laundry's ready? Like, what was, how mom was she? Uh, I'm just saying. Look, the point of the story is the Dominicans [ __ ] crazy, bro. Yes. The Dominicans crazy. And I'm not even like fully diving in. But did you keep a name? What do you mean? Besides getting your wig snatched by a parrot? What do you mean by tame? Tame like, did you dangle down a two-story building? Vietnam? No. Okay. So everyone on the trip got hurt at least once. Except, actually, I got hurt once. I dropped a class and like, I, like, got cut open. But other than that, there was this one guy who popped his knee out of his socket twice. Older guy. Yeah. Yes. And then, yeah, and then someone broke their toe. Someone fell off a TV, got a concussion. The other person that was on the ATV that fell off, all our back was scratched. So this is what I'm saying. Everyone got like, the whole, the Dominicans. Do you don't just like go to the Dominican? No. Yes. Yeah. Everyone got hurt in some ways. Someone almost got impaled. You're speaking of impaled. I didn't. How do you money? Wow. Good transition. So that brand deals mostly. But I'm trying to do little side businesses. Like the thing I was talking about, like I want to do a clothing line, wig line. Why don't you? Why don't you? I'm doing it. But it takes stuff. Yeah. Yeah. I don't. Wait, here. Curious with, right? With the live line? Huh? Wig line? Yeah. With the, yes, the wig line. That just sounds very straight. Like I'm, sounds like I'm messing up. Is that to help women with their beauty and how they feel or what's the, what's the mission behind? Yeah, I mean, it's part of my brand. Wigs now, my guess. So I know it's like a popular thing and it's becoming more and more popular. And I think they're just fun to do. Like, it's fun to wear. You can. You know, has anyone ever called you a real-life Barbie online? Yeah. How do you feel about that? I don't really have an opinion towards. I'm just like, okay. You have a message for your young female audience? Yeah, I mean, just do you. Like, you know, I don't want to sound like everything, like, you know, everyone says be yourself and like, don't listen to the haters. But like, yeah, that's that, you know? Do you? You said, yeah, like, do we? But do it different, perhaps? Do it different. Yeah. Be a maverick. Maverick shop. Always blow. Thanks for that plug, Chris. Yeah. No problem.

Okay, Kristin. Speaking, speaking of Canada. Yeah. The hell's going on up there? And and besides Drake and Shawn Mendes, what other Canadian influencers are cranking right now? Dude, I don't, I don't really clout with a lot of Canadian influencers. Like when I go down to Canada, I just go down to like, chill with my like hometown friends, you know? I like how you say down to Canada, by the way. Up. I do. Geographically, it's up. Do different. Yeah. I just gotta like, chill with friends and just say hello. Fly up to Canada. You go back to Milton a lot? Um, yeah, because my my family lives in Milton. So I'll stay there maybe a couple nights and then I'll go to Toronto. Friend hop. You're there? Just chill with them. Hang on. Yes. What does she rate on your friend scale? She's, she's like my sister. Yeah. Ten. I love her. She's the one I bought from Canada to live with me. So you got any stories that she's not touching? Yeah. John, like, do you want to throw some out there? She's too shot. Answer. Never done drugs. Horrible. What about, what about drinking? Drug? Like drinking alcohol? Nah. Of course. Why would she ever do that? What do you think of that last boyfriend? Oh, oh, oh. She, uh, oh. [Applause] Because what I've, Selena, I went to Cabo and we're taking a break for like a month before all this [ __ ] went down. And I went to Cabo and he wanted to come back while I was in Cabo with Selena and my other roommate, Reagan. And I'm like, I don't know if that's a good idea. He's like, oh, well, I'm already coming down. Like, okay. And Selena calls me up, like crying, saying like, he's doing this, he's locking me out of the house. Like, oh, yeah, he bullied you. Yeah. He was just like, a total dick. Like, why don't you whip his ass, dude? Oh, yeah. Kristen's friend Selena can fight. That's all. So did you dodge that, like, that lawsuit? You're clear now? It's like, right now, like, we just both mentioned it to each other. So you're just kind of, I was like, I'm gonna sue you. And it's like, if you sue me, I'll sue you. I'm like, 19 years old, talking about like, prenups and like, like a conversation I do not want to be involved in. You go 50/50 with not fun as that. She's not well. She's not still. All right. Yo, is there any upcoming projects you have that you're working on that you want to say before we sign off here? I mean, I feel like I've mentioned everything already. So YouTube, Kristin Hancher. Instagram, at Kristin Hancher. That's legit. You're gonna have to look at her eyes and eyebrows. I feel like to recognize her because next week your hair will be whoa. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's a different color every day. So using amazed. You ever change your eyebrow color? Um, actually, yeah. I went to EDC and I wore a silver brow. So you can't even rely on that. Tax? No, you really can't. [ __ ] wigs when they come out. Yeah. Wait, party weed? Oh, thank you guys for watching yet another episode of Impulsive, the number one podcast in the world.
