God knew you before you were born, and He encoded something into that very day. What if I told you that the exact day you entered this world was not an accident? What if God intentionally placed a divine signature inside your soul, tied to the very moment you were born? And most people will go their entire lives without ever discovering it.
Stay with me, because what you're about to hear from scripture will completely change the way you see yourself. Welcome back. If this is your first time here, I need you to know something. And today, we are going into something that I have been studying for months. Something that touches every single person who watches this video, regardless of where you're from, how old you are, or what you've been through. We are talking about your birth, the specific day God chose to bring you into this world. And I want you to really hear me on this. Scripture is not silent on this subject. In fact, the Bible has more to say about the significance of your birth, your soul, and your divine timing than most pastors ever preach from the pulpit.

Think about the day you came into this world, because by the end of this video, you are going to see that day through completely new eyes. Let's start at the very foundation. Because before we can understand what your birth reveals about your soul, we have to understand something that the Bible makes absolutely crystal clear. God did not just know about you when you were born. He knew you before you existed. Before your mother ever felt you move inside of her. Before a single doctor confirmed the pregnancy. Before the very thought of your parents having a child ever crossed anyone's mind, God already knew you.
In Jeremiah 1:5, God speaks directly to the prophet Jeremiah and says this: "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart. I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." Now, this verse is often quoted in the context of Jeremiah's calling. But I want you to see something much bigger happening here. God is not only saying, "I knew Jeremiah." He is revealing a principle about how He relates to every soul He creates. The Hebrew word used for "knew" here is *yada*. And it doesn't mean simply knowing facts about someone. It means to know intimately, deeply, personally. The same word is used in Genesis to describe the deepest form of human relationship. God is saying that before you ever arrived in this world, He had already entered into a deep, covenantal knowledge of your soul.
Think about what that means for you. Your birth was not a surprise to heaven. Your birthday is not just a number on a calendar. It is the day that a soul God had already known, already loved, and already designed was released into time. The psalmist captures this with breathtaking beauty in Psalm 139:13-16: "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."
Read that last line again: "All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Your birthday, that specific day, was already written, already decided, already filled with purpose before you drew your first breath. This is not astrology. This is not fate in a pagan sense. This is the sovereign design of a God who writes history before it happens and who placed your soul into this world at exactly the right moment.
Now, here is where this gets even more powerful. Because the Bible teaches us that God doesn't just know *when* you were born. He specifically chose your time in history. He chose your season. He chose the generation you would be born into, the family, the culture, the moment in human history where your particular soul would have the greatest kingdom impact.
In Acts 17:26, the Apostle Paul stands in the middle of Athens, surrounded by pagan philosophers and idol worshippers. And he makes one of the most staggering declarations in all of scripture: "From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands." The phrase "appointed times" in Greek is *kairos*. And this word in the New Testament always refers to a divinely designated season, a moment that God set in place. Not *chronos*, ordinary clock time, but *kairos*, sacred, purposed, loaded time. God marked out your *kairos*. He decided when you would be born and where you would be placed. And He did it with intention.
I want you to pause and sit with that for a moment. How many of you have ever felt like you were born at the wrong time? Like you showed up too late, or maybe too early? Like you don't fit in this generation, or like your life has no clear direction? I want you to write that in the comments below. Have you ever felt like you were born at the wrong time? Because the enemy loves to use that feeling to make you question your value, your purpose, and your place in God's story. But scripture is screaming the exact opposite: You were born at the right time. Your soul was placed in this generation on purpose.
And here's something else the Bible shows us about the soul. Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us, "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end." Did you catch that? God set eternity in your heart. Inside your soul, at the moment of your creation, God placed a longing for something beyond this world. That ache you feel, that restlessness, that sense that there must be something more—that is not weakness. That is the fingerprint of God on your soul. That is the evidence that you were made for eternity, not just for time.
But here's what nobody talks about. And this is the part that might actually make you uncomfortable. Because the day you were born doesn't just reveal what God put in you. It also reveals what God expects from you. And most people are running from it. In the kingdom of God, there is no such thing as a soul without an assignment. Every person born into this world was given a unique spiritual DNA, a set of gifts, callings, and divine purposes that were attached to their soul before they took their first breath. And the enemy's primary strategy is not to destroy you physically. It's to disconnect you from the assignment you were born for.
Romans 8:29-30 gives us a staggering glimpse into how God works across time: "For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called. Those he called, he also justified. Those he justified, he also glorified." This is known as the golden chain of salvation. And notice how it begins with foreknowledge. God knew you. And from that knowing, He moved. He predestined. He called. He justified. Before your birth, there was already a plan in motion in the heavenly realm specifically for your soul.
Now, let me speak to someone watching this right now who feels like their life has gone in the wrong direction. Maybe you made choices that took you far from where you thought God wanted you. Maybe you feel like your assignment is gone. Maybe you feel disqualified. I want you to hear the word of God on this, because it is powerful. In Ephesians 2:10, Paul writes, "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." The word "handiwork" here in Greek is *poiema*. It's where we get the English word "poem." You are God's poem. You are a masterpiece He authored. And the works He prepared for you, He prepared them in advance before you were born. They are still there, waiting for you. Your detours didn't erase your destiny.
This is why the day you were born is so significant. Because it marks the moment that a specific divine poem, a unique work of God's creative genius, stepped into time. And the soul that entered this world on your birthday carries a signature that cannot be replicated, cannot be replaced, and cannot be rendered void by failure, sin, or time. That soul is yours. And God is still calling it forward.

Let's go even deeper now. Because the Bible is filled with examples of specific births that carried enormous spiritual weight. And God uses these moments in scripture not just as historical records, but as mirrors for us to understand how He works. Think about the birth of Moses. Exodus 2 tells us that when Moses was born, his mother saw that he was a fine child. But the Hebrew behind that phrase is deeper than it looks. The Talmudic tradition and many early church fathers noted that something special was perceived at his birth: a light, a weight of glory, a sense of divine appointment. And Hebrews 11:23 confirms it: "By faith Moses’s parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict." God placed a mark on Moses at birth that was visible even to his parents. Something in that child declared, "This soul carries a purpose that kings cannot extinguish."
Or consider John the Baptist. In Luke 1:15, the angel Gabriel speaks about John before he is even conceived and says, "For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born." Before birth, the Holy Spirit was already working inside that soul in the womb, preparing the one who would prepare the way for Jesus. And when Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting in verse 41, the baby leaped in the womb. John recognized the presence of the Messiah while still in the womb. The soul knows things that the mind hasn't yet learned.
Or consider the most significant birth in all of human history: the birth of Jesus Christ Himself. In Matthew chapter 2, when the Magi arrive in Jerusalem, they ask, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him." A star in the sky marked His birth. Creation itself announced the arrival of this soul. The heavens moved to honor the moment God entered time in human form. Now, obviously, Jesus is unique. He is the Son of God. But this shows us something powerful about how heaven regards birth. It is not a biological accident. It is a spiritual event. It is the moment a soul crosses from eternity into time, carrying a divine mission.
And this framework of birth as a spiritual event is woven throughout all of scripture. From the birth of Isaac as the son of promise in Genesis 21, to the birth of Samuel after Hannah's desperate prayer in 1st Samuel 1, to the birth of David—the youngest, the forgotten one, the one nobody expected—anointed king from his mother's womb according to Psalm 22:10: "From birth I was cast on you; from my mother’s womb you have been my God." Every significant birth in the Bible carries a message, and your birth is no different.
I want to bring this home now. Because all of this theology, as beautiful as it is, must land in your heart in a practical way. Because the enemy doesn't just want to stop your destiny. He wants to make you forget where you came from. He wants to make you forget that your birth was sacred, that your soul is not an accident, that God was there, fully present and fully invested the moment you came into this world.
In Isaiah 43:1-3, God speaks words that I want you to receive personally right now: "But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.’" He summoned you by name, not by number, not by a slot in a timeline. By name. God knows your name. He knew it before your parents chose it. He knows what it means to your soul. And He is saying, even now, to whoever is watching this video, "I have redeemed you. You are mine. And what I started in you, I will not abandon."
Philippians 1:6 says it plainly: "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." The work God began in your soul on the day you were born is still in progress. The story is not over. The assignment is still alive. The fingerprint He placed on your soul hasn't faded. And every single day that you wake up and you're still here, that is God saying, "I'm not finished with you yet."

Let me close with this. In Psalm 139:17-18, David writes with overwhelming wonder: "How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you." God has thoughts about you that outnumber the grains of sand. That is not poetry for poetry's sake. That is a theological statement about the infinite value that the Creator of the universe places on your individual soul. He is not managing crowds. He is not keeping you at a distance. He is thinking about you specifically, personally, constantly. And He has been doing so since before time began.
The day you were born was the day heaven exhaled. The day eternity released you into time with a specific mission, a specific name, and a specific place in the story of redemption that no other soul can fill. There will never be another you. There has never been another you. And the God who wrote your days before you lived a single one of them—He is inviting you right now to step fully into the identity He designed for you.
So here is your challenge this week: Find a quiet moment, maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow morning, and pray this simple prayer: "God, show me what You saw when You formed me. Remind me who I was born to be, and give me the courage to walk into the fullness of the soul You designed." And then watch what He does, because He is faithful. He has always been faithful, and He is not going to stop now.
