So, we met at Waterfall with Steve and Wendy's group's Gathering, and we became really good friends. And she's put it with me over the last couple weeks, off and on. But, um, I just felt like God said to give people opportunities to share their messages and share the revelation that God's given them, and to know that they have a voice. And that's what this whole thing is all about, is really allowing people to know that we all have messages. John 17:20 says Jesus is talking, and if he's talking, you should be listening. And he says, "Others will come to know me because of your message." So, we all have a message, and others are going to come to know Christ. But [Music] so we all have a message. And I want you to go and tap into God and ask him what your message is because if you're here, I know you have a message, and if not more than one. And as soon as he finds no, it's behind the chair, between the chairs. So, all right. So, Father God, I thank you for Tina, and thank you for what you're going to do through her, and thank you for the message that's rising up inside of her. And then thank you that you won't let her read it. [Music] I thank your brother good. You've given her a voice and a message, and this is just the beginning of so much more. And thank you for the adventure you're taking on. In Jesus name, amen.
I'd like to share a little bit of a testimony here, um, what God's been doing with me in my life here in the past, I don't know, a couple years. Um, have you ever sat on a bench waiting to play your favorite sport? How did that make you feel? Waiting for the coach to pick you while others got to play? I was getting tired of just sitting on the bench, sitting in the church queue each week, just doing the same thing week after week, going home and doing the same thing day after day. I'd read my Bible, but I really didn't understand it. I would serve God sometimes, it's whatever I could, but my heart really wasn't into it. I felt like I was just sitting on the bench, being a benchwarmer Christian. Have you ever been in a place where you knew there had to be more? You wanted to get in the game? You wanted to play the sport? I and I wanted to get off the bench. I knew I was worthy of playing the sport, but I just didn't know how to get off the bench. And I wanted to play, but I knew I had to get more Jesus in my life. God was calling me to take a journey with him, calling me to get off that bench, to get into the game. And I started. That's what started my search. And one day, when I was doing some study, and I started to hear God's voice. I'm like, "What? What is that girl's voice? Is he talking to me?" He was trying to entice me. He was drawing me in. He was trying to teach me something, and I liked it. I wanted to know more of his voice. My journey was starting to begin. And this led me to, um, to the search, like to do some searching. And then eventually, you know, it led me to him hearing this preacher. And he, you know, he's on TV, he's on, because he lives in Tampa, Florida. Led me to go to some of his revival meetings. Have you ever heard of Dr. Rodney Howard Brown there in Tampa, Florida? I know Trina's been there. I wanted to know what he had that I needed. His style was different. His weight was different. He was walking different. I just wanted to know what he had that I needed. So, we went down there for a week-long revival meeting, and I had a profound encounter with God. For the first time in my life, I could feel the fire of God just raining down in that place. And the first night, we were there, I went to the altar. I knew I was saved, but I went up anyway. This guy was one, I guess he was one of the pastors. I started walking to her. Like, Carter asked this question, "Do you need to go forward?" Or like, it was asking this question, "Did it need to see more of the Holy Spirit?" And well, I went. Which Jess said yes. So I went up with him.
Like, "What? What was what's going on here? I'm saved already. What, what is this?" But God knew that he needed to clean up my heart before I could receive more of him. I've seen more of the Holy Spirit power, just the joy, just hit. I was on the floor, just like last night. Damn, I was hooked. I was not going back. I had found more. How can you receive it? Well, first of all, I'm just being an open and willing vessel before God. Yeah. Ask for more Jesus in your life. That's right. And he will give you more. Lately, I've been, uh, doing some studying in the Book of John. Let's take a little bit about John. But first of all, he was a fisherman. He was chosen, one of Jesus's first 12 disciples. Because also, was later, he came to the Apostle John. He wrote three different books in the Bible. John, Revelations, and the three books of John, of course, the name after him. But what was different about John? Why did I like him? First of all, I knew that he was loved by Jesus. How do I know this? Reverse law, he was chosen by Jesus. He was chosen as a fisherman. Jesus called him to him, and then he left his job. I could relate to that. About a year and a half ago, I left my job of 22 years. I'm like, "Why, God? Are you? I like my job. I'm like, "Why do you want me to leave my job?" He says, "Just leave." Well, I fought it for a few months. Yeah, I think it was like five or six months. He was like, "Did I tell you to leave?" I'm like, "Okay, all right. I'll leave." And then, of course, when I left, there was a bunch of stuff going on where I was working at. So he wanted to take me out of that extra stress and chaos that was going to happen. So, and the other second thing about John, who's loved by Jesus, and John knew he was loved by Jesus. And the Last Supper, he was a one-to-one disciple that put his head on the chest of Jesus. Why did he do this? He just loved Jesus so much, and he knew he was loved back. He had a close relationship with Jesus. He knew that he was loved. He just drew and close to him. He just listened to his heartbeat. He can hear Jesus' heartbeat going boom, boom, boom. He was just that closeness. Another thing about John was at Jesus' crucifixion. He's one of the, I think when every disciple, I believe that went with Jesus to the cross. The other ones kind of fled and went other directions. But that's the only place I think I've seen and so far that he's the only one that really stayed behind there and you can watch Jesus until the end. And at the cross, there on John 19, Jesus actually gave John the responsibility of taking care of his mother and Mary. And it says here in verse 27 that Mary became a part of John's family. Why did he do this? He had other brothers, he had other disciples, but he was the one that stayed with him till the end. Why else? What else do I like about the Book of John? I just like the way he, he unveils Jesus as the Son of God. And John 4, we're just talking about the woman at the well, just how the woman at the well was looking to keen to get water, and then she was looking to get water, but Jesus was offering her more than just water. He was offering her living water. Regular drinking water, you get thirsty again. You can drink, you know, eight cups a day, but that's just regular water. You'll get thirsty again. But when you have living water, he satisfies your thirst. And John 7:37-38, he says, "If anyone, if anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. He who believes in me, from his innermost being will flow rivers of living water." They made I was thirsty for more of Jesus in my life, so thirsty for more of him. I cannot, I could feel it. I could taste it. One day, I had a vision. I felt my cup was being filled with so much water. I was just so full and overflow into everything around me. So forth is love, his joy, and his peace, my comfort. So full, overflowing in whatever decides. One day, it was so full that I felt like it was bubbling over. I'm assuming that was part of the joy. What does this all mean? Helping you be more thirsty for God. How can you get his loving, his loving living water? Okay, I wasn't supposed to say that part. Okay. Um, I also wanted to read here in the next verse here, and just I found last night, Psalms 105:41. This verse says, "He opened a rock of water and it gushed out, flowing through the desert like a river." What does this really mean? Well, for one, Jesus is the brook. And when you know Moses hit the rock, the water burst forth out of it, and it gushed out like a river into the desert. I just been feeling, you know, this area that we live in is such a dry area. It's like a desert, and we need to release that living water, the water that's inside of us, into the surrounding area around us, to those people we meet, um, in your workplace, wherever you go. This needs to be released. Like if Moses said, Exodus 17, when Moses stood in Mount Sinai, he stood up on the mountains there, he struck the rock, and the water came out for the people. Striking the rock releases the flood into water, and the river was flowing forth. Last night, when we were here at Overflow, no, yeah, Overflow, I could just could see that the water just filling up in this room, and it was getting full. It was at least waist deep when I saw it. So we just need to get that water released from this place. So I'm gonna do a little activation here. So I got my stick. So this walking stick's going to represent Moses striking the rock. And I also would like each of you to stand up, get your imaginary walking stick out. So we're gonna, whoa, so we're gonna lift up our imaginary walking sticks and hit it to the ground so we can release the water from that rock. So all right. So, count of three, we're gonna lift up our rock and my stick to the wrong part. I thought it was an attached. Well, down. [Laughter] Walking sticks, everyone who wants to participate. And we're going to, count of three, hit the ground and break the water forth from the rock. One, two, three! Beast that water! It's good to go gushing out of the rock. This is what I guess just asked through here. All right, all right. We can release the water. So the water's filling up in here now. We need, um, Derek to come forward. He needs to help me with the next step. Okay, so I'm scared. Derek, I've always seen him kind of look more like the Joshua, so he's the leader, he's courageous. [Music] So he's the leader here, and he's gonna break forth the door, an imaginary door. We're not gonna be kicking the road doors, we don't charge ourselves. So I asked him to do, kick the door in, and it's going to release the water out into the promised land or territory to reconquer. So it's going to go blowing out of the front door and going down the street. We want to go down loud and straight into town. So it just kind of freaking out. Yes, you know, if anybody is from another area or mobile, we can release it to your own area. So right there, go ahead and give a nice kick. [Music]
