You’re Using ChatGPT Wrong To Grow Your YouTube Channel

You're trying chat TBT for your titles, your thumbnails, even maybe even entire scripts, but your views still suck. Why? Because AI can't fix what's already broken yet. Chat GBT is a genius at pumping out words, but it cannot turn you into a better creator. And that's where most people crash and burn.

Over the last 8 years, I have produced hundreds of YouTube channels and worked with over 2,000 creators. And lately, I keep seeing the same trap from a lot of my students. In this video, I'm breaking down three reasons chai GBT isn't working for you. And I guarantee that you will spot yourself in at least one of them. And make sure you stick around to the end because I'm sharing two of my absolute best prompts for generating high converting video topics and titles that you can use right now for your channel. I'm telling you, these two prompts plus what you're going to learn in this video is going to change how you use Chat GBT for YouTube forever.

So, the first reason you're still stuck on YouTube, even with Chad GBT, is that you don't have your YouTube fundamentals solidly in place. There are four core fundamentals every single successful YouTube channel needs before AI tools can actually help you. Your YouTube why, your channel niche, who your true fan is, and your channel mission. If you're in my YouTube boot camp, shout out to you guys. Comment below or you work with me one-on-one. You've heard that before. It's called my YouTube audience attraction system, and it is a foundation of all the work that I do on YouTube. When any of those four fundamentals are unclear or even missing, having a powerful tool like ChatGBT at your fingertips actually creates way more confusion than clarity.

So, here's what happens. You ask ChatGBT for video ideas and it gives you a bunch of options, right? You're like, but without a clear understanding of your channel niche, you have no filter to determine which of those ideas actually fit you, your channel, your expertise and direction versus which ones might be completely wrong for you. Or how about you ask for thumbnail concepts and titles and it generates all these different ideas, but without knowing who your true fan is, you can't tell which of those ideas will actually grab the attention of the specific people that you want to attract. Or let's say you ask for hooks and erase 15 different video openings, but without a clear channel mission and why, you can't identify which one of those hooks actually represents your voice, your purpose, your value system. It's like being handed a sophisticated GPS system when you don't even know where you're going. The actual tool, the system, the chatbt, that's not the problem. It's that you don't have the road map to use it effectively.

And I see this all the time with my clients and students. Somebody came after me after spending months using Chat GBT, right? Everyone's like, "Oh, we got this amazing new tool, Chat GBT." It is great, don't get me wrong. And she had hundreds of potential videos planned, like all these ideas, but she was paralyzed because she couldn't decide on which ones to make. So, let me know if that's you in the comments. If you get a ton of ideas from Chhatty Boutique, but then you're overwhelmed with which ones to actually use because it happens way more than you think. So, with this one client, when we clarified who her true fan was, working moms struggling with guilt about their limited time, suddenly it became really obvious which of those AI suggestions would work and which wouldn't. Without these fundamentals, AI, while helpful, can just amplify your confusion. It gives you way more options when what you really need is a lot more clarity. If you don't have your messaging spot on with your channel mission, your true fan or your why for doing this, you don't have the foundation that will help make ChatGpt actually work for you. So before you open up Chat GBT again, you need to ask yourself, do I truly understand my YouTube why? Is my niche clearly defined? Do I know exactly who I'm speaking to? And is the value, the purpose, the mission behind my channel crystal clear? If you cannot answer these with complete confidence, no AI tool in the world is going to solve your growth problems.

So, I know just now we went through the YouTube fundamental framework really quickly, which like I said, I call my YouTube audience attraction system. And if you want to go deeper, I've actually built AI tools specifically designed to help you clarify those four foundations. Your why, your niche, your true fan, your channel mission, these AI tools are based on my nearly 10 years of experience helping over 2,000 creators figure this out for themselves. They are incredibly powerful and they are available exclusively to my YouTube boot campers. And these tools and my boot camp will actually guide you through the process of discovering your channel core fundamental first so that all your other AI efforts become exponentially more effective. So you can find out more about the boot camp in the description below.

For now, let's move on to the second reason you're still stuck on YouTube even with Chat GBT. No amount of AI optimization can fix a niche misalignment. And this is something that I constantly see. a YouTuber is in a niche that just is not the right fit for them or for their goals and their monetization goals, but they think that if they just get those better titles and scripts from Chat GBT, they're going to finally break through. Let me be crystal clear. If you are in the wrong niche, you can have the world's best AI generating the most perfect content and you're still going to struggle to grow.

I worked with a client, her name was Kathy over 50, and her channel, it was doing okay, but it was it was kind of flat. When I spoke with her and I asked her why she was doing makeup videos, she said she didn't really know what else to do. Like she felt like that's what all the other women on YouTube were doing that were over 50 years old. Once she went through the process of the audience attraction system and specifically the niche portion, she realized that makeup was something that she liked, she enjoyed, but it wasn't necessarily something she wanted to revolve her whole channel around and that was the problem. So, for Kathy, we focused on something she was a lot more passionate about, and that was actually fashion and style, but specifically, now here's where the true fan comes in for plus-size and appleshaped women over 50. And then her content really started to blow up. She also incorporated a subniche, which was about her weight loss journey, which is something else she's really, really passionate about. Now, she's super close to 100,000 subscribers, and a big reason for her success was because she was in the wrong niche. And once she pivoted and she was finally able to break through and see that success on YouTube that she had been wanting so badly to see and working so hard for.

So here are some signs that you're in the wrong niche. You dread content creation. You're constantly copying other people. You can't really go deep on your topics and you don't really feel that excitement. The problem is that people don't always realize that this is the issue. Kathy was thinking it was her delivery, her thumbnails, her titles, but the real reason her channel wasn't doing well was because she was just simply in the wrong niche for her. I truly believe that every person really does have the most perfect niche for them based off of their personality, their interest, and their monetization goals. If you want me to do an entire video just on finding your niche, let me know in the comments. I really haven't covered this recently on my channel, and I can definitely go deeper if that's something that you want. With Chat GBT and AI, these tools are amazing. They really are. They've been really, really cool. I've been using them a lot in my business, but they won't fix the problem of figuring out whether you are in the right or wrong niche. No AI can really figure that out for you. What it can do is it can enhance content in a niche that's already working.

The third reason you're still stuck is something almost nobody talks about, which is decision fatigue from too many AI options. Here's what happens. You ask Chat GBT for title ideas. It gives you 10 amazing options. You're not sure, so you ask for 10 more. Now you have 20. And then now you are totally overwhelmed. And then you do the same thing with your thumbnails and maybe you know topics and then your intros, your hooks and then suddenly you are drowning in possibilities with no clear way to choose. Let me know if that's you in the comments. I want to know if you're feeling this sense of overwhelm with chat GBT at your fingertips. This ladies is a paradox of choice. More options doesn't always make it easier. Sometimes it actually makes it harder. And it's a uniquely modern problem that's getting worse with all this AI. I mean, even I can get overwhelmed with 20 titles and 20 thumbnails. At some point, you still have to use your brain. Thank God, right? You still have to understand which of these options you want to film, which of these options is going to work, which of these options is going to attract your true fan. Chat GBT isn't going to come in a shiny cape and save your YouTube channel. It is a tool. A great tool, but just a tool.

What's worse is that this endless cycle of generating options and being unable to choose can actually lead to burnout. And I've seen creators spend hours, sometimes entire days, cycling through all these AI generated options, tweaking the prompts, and second-guessing themselves. Time that they could have actually spent creating content, connecting with their audience, or developing their skills. The tool that was supposed to save them time actually ends up costing more time. I've had students and clients come to me completely exhausted, overwhelmed, show me all these AI titles and thumbnails and all that and they're really paralyzed by the possibilities. And unfortunately, it's actually doing more harm than good. And the irony is that this abundance of options is that this amazing tool sometimes can actually lead to worse decisions, not necessarily better ones. When you're overwhelmed, you either pick something randomly just to get over it, or you default to whatever feels safe rather than what might have performed best.

So, here's a little tip that I like to use, and I'm going to go deeper into this tip at the end of the video. So, like I said, you're going to want to watch this whole thing. I ask Shakybt to give me 10 video titles, and then I ask it to pick its favorite and tell me why. I don't always agree, but it helps narrow things down. And another approach is to set some strict limits. Ask for only five options instead of 10 or 20. Or give yourself a time limit. 10 minutes to decide, then move on. Remember, AI should speed up your process, not slow it down with all these different options. And the goal is to make the decisions faster, not get stuck in a decision loop. Your mental energy is limited. It is for all of us. Use AI to conserve it, not drain it.

Now that we understand why you're still stuck on YouTube, even with Chat GBT, we're going to talk about some solutions. Okay. I'm going to give you three instant upgrades that will fix 80% of those generic forgettable outputs starting now. All right. Number one, context first. Chat GBD isn't a psychic. It only knows what you tell it. Garbage in, garbage out. If you're giving vague prompts, you're going to get vague results. I'm going to show you on the screen a bad prompt that's going to give you a generic output. Give me video ideas about fitness. Now, what I want you to do is try a different prompt, one that's more specific. Something like, "I help busy women over 40 build strength at home. My audience struggled with joint pain, limited time, and gym intimidation. Suggest five video ideas that address those pain points with efficient, low impact training. Way better." Now, that's the contact upgrade.

Number two, give it rules. Chat GBT works better with constraints. A bad prompt is write a hook for a video about morning routines. Now, what I want you to do is try something different. Generate five hooks with a conversational tone. 12 words max. Include a bold claim and avoid clickbait. Something like that will return way better results. Do this for your titles, your thumbnails, your scripts, anything.

Now, upgrade number three. I call it the 10 choice rule. I mentioned it earlier. Ask for 10 options, then give feedback. Then iterate from there. So say something like, "Give me 10 titles for a video on decision fatigue." Blah blah blah blah blah. Like go more into the prompt. Then pick your favorite and explain why. Then when it gives you the answers, say something like, "Okay, I like number three. I like number seven. I like the curiosity of number three. And I like the pain point of number seven. Now give me 10 more combining both." So you're training the model and then the quality of your output improves. And the cool thing about chat GBT is it starts to remember all this and you're training it. This is exactly what I do with my own stuff. This is I have to do with my clients or the channels I produce and now you can do it too.

So you want to try right now? Here's those two prompts that I promised you that you can use immediately. I'm going to put them up on the screen and you can snapshot them. Prompt one is I help your audience with your expertise suggest five video ideas that directly speak to their biggest pain points. Make them specific and bingeworthy. And in with those pain points, you can actually fill in what those pain points are. Okay? So, get specific with those pain points. Now, here's prompt number two. Give me 10 YouTube titles for a video about your topic. Keep each under 60 characters. Use a conversational tone and highlight emotional pain points. Pick your favorite and explain why it works. And same thing, mention what those pain points are for your unique true fan. So, use those prompts with the system that we just talked through, context, constraints, and the 10 choice rule. and your chatb outputs will finally reflect your voice, your strategy, and your audience. But like I said, if those fundamentals aren't in place yet, if you're in the wrong niche, if you don't understand who your true fan is, if you don't understand what your mission is, then you got to make sure that you do that. And if you want to know deeper into how to grow on YouTube with strategy, messaging, and long-term tools that actually work, check out that link in the description to learn more about my YouTube boot camp. Like I said, I build a bunch of custom AI tools that do exactly this and more.

So, there you go. The three reasons you're stuck on YouTube despite using chat GBT and the three instant upgrades that can transform how you use AI for your channel. Remember, AI is a tool, but it can't replace your clarity, your voice, your strategy, your brain. The creators who win with AI are using it to amplify their own intelligence, not outsource it.

So, let me know in the comments which of these three reasons hit home for you or which of these upgrades that you're excited to try. And if you found this helpful, please give this video a thumbs up. It really helps the channel. Leave me a comment and subscribe if you want more videos like this every single week.
