Airfryer Spatchcock Chicken

I couldn't pass up on a three dollar chicken and me being lazy I tried to figure out the easiest way to cook it. The air fryer spatchcocked the chicken so that it can cook more evenly. This is my first time doing this and I just made sure to cut on either side of the spine.

This is also the last time you'll see these scissors on my channel. I accidentally set it in a bag and then threw it away. I realized it a few days later.

Just laid the chicken out flat and whipped up a quick seasoning. Two tablespoons of Cajun seasoning, a tablespoon of cayenne, and a tablespoon ish of paprika. I only used about half of this mix. I'm also curious to see if adding olive oil does anything to make the skin crispier so I did half with and half without.

Sprayed the bottom of my air fryer with avocado oil and placed the chicken in. 390 degrees Fahrenheit for 22 minutes. It wasn't done so I put it in for another 10 minutes at 380. It was good to go after that.

I don't know why I'm cutting it like this. I couldn't tell the difference between either side in taste or texture but man this was an easy method to cook a whole chicken.
