What's up, guys? Spenny, how deep does the rabbit hole go? Goodness gracious. A bunch of breaking news on Epstein right now. The man who never dies, as Donald Trump calls him. And that is true. Judge in Florida denies Justice Department request to release Epstein transcripts. This would be the grand jury testimony from firstirhand witnesses to Epstein's crimes. This is an Obama judge that shut it down on its face.
A federal judge in Florida denied the Justice Department's request to unseal grand jury transcripts from the investigation into Epstein. The department, under increasing pressure from President Donald Trump's political base, petitioned the court to seek the release of closely held records of the testimony of the witnesses who appeared the grand jury. A 12-page opinion on Wednesday, US District Judge Robin Rosenberg said that she could not legally do so under the guidelines governing grand jury secrecy by the US Court of Appeals.
The Justice Department continued to pursue separate pushes to release grand jury transcripts related to Epstein and Jane Maxwell in Manhattan, where both were charged with sex trafficking and other crimes. Maxwell was convicted in 2021. News on her in just a moment. Federal judges in New York overseeing the motion to release the transcript said that the department had not adequately addressed the limited factors under which the grand jury material can be publicly released in the appellet district. They requested further briefing from the government. The government effectively saying that this is now in the public interest. It's the main argument. We read the full order request from the DOJ earlier this week. DOJ is also going to be meeting with Gelain Maxwell and Gelain Maxwell has been subpoenaed officially by the House of Representatives. All of this news breaking bang bang bang bang bang.
Federal judge will not allow the Justice Department to unseal grand jury transcripts. It's going to be frustrating. Here's the judge Robin Rosenberg appointed by Obama blocked the Epstein transcripts saying they didn't meet the legal requirements. I mean, I don't really quite understand that. Uh the co court court's hands are tied. She wrote, "The government does not ha had not requested the grand jury findings to use in judicial proceedings, adding that the district courts are generally prohibited from unsealing grand jury testimony except in narrow circumstances." She ordered that a new case be created in the public interest that provided access to the government's request and denial order grand jury docket is still sealed. She ordered that uh closed the case where the government filed its request which started with the investigation of Epstein. So there you go.
Um I mean this is obviously very important because the grand jury testimony is the testimony of victims and people who were in Epstein's orbit. It'd be very instructive to see what they said. It'd be important to see what the witnesses said because the grand jury testimony is how they charged Epste. It's how they put him in prison in the first place. This is how they were able to get uh Jeffrey Epste in handcuffs and in that jail cell. So what exactly was said about him? It must have been bad. They kept him in the worst detention facility in America. Still killed him there, obviously. Uh but now we have some Obama connection to this. Appointed by Obama, denied the Department of Justice request to unseal the Jeffrey Epste grand jury. The public deserves total transparency. The victims deserve real justice. The DOJ has to fight this and appeal it. Federal judge denies it. Separate request from New York. You'd have to assume that the reason why these requests were made in these two separate states is because Epstein was operating in West Palm Beach and also in Manhattan. But it was uh he moved much of his operation to Manhattan later in life because he caught a case here in Florida. It was a complete garbage case. It was sweeter than diabetes type two. He was able to skate on virtually no charges and even got immunity for Gelain Maxwell, which is what Jelane Maxwell is arguing right now. Also breaking right now, Attorney General Pam Bondi told President Trump that his name appeared multiple times in the Epstein files and that the names of other high-profile people did as well. In the meeting, Bondi told Trump that they weren't going to release any of the files. The mentioned to high-profile people in them contained what officials felt were unverified hearsay about many individuals. Or you could just release the unverified hearsay and say, "Here it is. It's in the public interest." Kind of agree with Sager on this one. This is why not releasing the files is such an own goal by Trump. Bondi said it was just one of many mentioned. Doesn't even necessarily imply wrongdoing. If they had released the files, then it would have been one of the many stories instead of the only one. So, this is clearly something um obviously something that it does not come as a shock to a shock to me. There are hundreds of photos of Trump and Epste back when Epstein's entire op was wormholeing his way into a polite and powerful society. This is uh not breaking news at all. The fact that lurid rumors have been made up about everybody inside of these networks. I mean, listen, the reality is that when you have this kind of profile and when you have this level of uh status that people are going to make up rumors about you and you need to be able to stand on business, need be able to stand on facts and why not release everything.
You know, clearly Epstein was way closer with Clinton than he was ever with Trump. He had paintings of Bill Clinton in his house, oil paintings of Bill Clinton. Epstein was a Democrat donor. He visited the White House a million times. The Donald Trump cut Epstein off entirely and was the one who led to the arrest of Jeffrey Epste, according to the prosecutors and and and the assistance in locking Epste away when the case that he did catch here in Florida. So, why the hell wouldn't, you know, like again, I just don't understand why let the sins of other administrations uh hang around the neck of this administration. I mean, it wasn't the Trump administration that gave Jeffrey Epstein the sweetheart deal. It wasn't the Trump administration that let him off again and again and again in 2005, six, and seven. Donald Trump was a TV star during those times. It's crazy.
So, let's find out. Jamie Comr wants to find out. Here we go. Jamie Comr says, "Let's go." He subpoenas Gelain Maxwell for a deposition to occur on August the 11th, 2025. Federal Correctional Institution of Tallahassee Department of Justice is cooperating and will facilitate the deposition in the prison. So, they're going to depose Julian Maxwell about everything she knows. This is a good idea. Julian Maxwell is sort of the key to everything. I guess you could lie. But she's already caught a case for 20 years. Uh she's in her late 60s. She's 67. So that means essentially she's got a life sentence for the rest of her life in prison. So why not just tell the truth at this point? Is someone protecting her? I don't know. Will she make it to August 11th? Keep the cameras running. You know what I mean? Jeffrey Epste's former lawyer, his name's Alan Dersowitz. He says Jelane Maxwell is the key to everything. She knows everything. So, this is the time to get that information. Let's settle this thing.
I'm kind of like honestly I you know like again the longer it goes on the more this can be weaponized against the administration and against Donald Trump and turned into the next Russia gate. So, get the information out there uh as much as you can all of it. And like clearly this is being weaponized and used as an attack vector and I want it shut down. You know what I mean? And the best way for that to happen is total and complete transparency. Gelain Maxwell on a witness stand. You know, just do it. Do it and let the chips fall where they may. It's your boy Benny. Yeah, like you said, all of those names out there could be completely innocent of anything, but it's possible that they were mentioned somewhere along the line. So, just to be clear, what they've asked for, the Trump administration, those grand jury transcripts, they're separate from other information that you say is sealed, would that have to be a separate request from someone else in order to get that information you referenced?
Yes, definitely. And the information that hasn't been requested is going to be far more uh informative and far more uh relevant than the grand jury information. Grand jury information is narrowly tailored by prosecutors only to provide sufficient evidence to result in an indictment. They don't want to put a lot of material in the grand jury because that would then produce to the defendant. So what's much much more important is discovery information, depositions and other things that came out of the Galain Maxwell case that came out of other cases that were pending in front of federal judges and uh for example the case involving Prince Andrew. All of that should be revealed as well. And as long as there's nothing redacted about the accuser's lack of credibility, then the public has the right to make its own decision. Just because somebody's name is mentioned doesn't really mean very much.
Yeah, absolutely. That's always a good caution. U you mentioned Gain Maxwell. She's still got an appeal I'm tracking at the Supreme Court, but in the meantime, you suggest she should be potentially offered congressional immunity to go and testify. Do you think that would happen? And and what kind of information would she have that we haven't seen?
She knows everything. Uh she is the Rosetta Stone. She knows everything. She arranged every single trip with everybody. She knows everything. And if she were just given you immunity, she could be compelled to testify. I'm told that she actually would be willing to testify. And uh there'd be no reason for her to withhold any information. So I don't see any negative uh in giving her uh the kind of use immunity that would compel her to testify. So, she ought to be summoned in front of a a congressional committee.
