What's going on, folks? Welcome back. Hope you're all well.
In one of my previous videos, I mentioned that I was going to be leaving Ireland and moving abroad to go and live somewhere in Europe. Now, there was all sorts of speculation in that previous video, and you are all wrong. Most of you are wrong. There was a handful of people that guessed it correctly, but for the most part, people were thinking Scandinavia. People were thinking because of my recent trip to Oslo that that was like enough to make me want to go move there. Amazing place, but unfortunately maybe a little bit too close to Ireland from a climate standpoint, because that is one of the many but biggest factors as to why I wanted to change things up in Ireland is the climate. And unfortunately, Oslo was amazing. It's freezing. You know what I mean? And I'm kind of fed up with the cold. So, it is not Oslo. It is not Scandinavia. It is not Romania. I mean, some of the guesses, some people's geography needs to be studied as well because I specifically mentioned Europe and people were like, "Is it South America? Is it Canada? You're moving to you're moving to America, right?" [laughter] I'm like, "Guys, maybe spend less time on YouTube and purchase a map."
So, I don't really know how to get into this and actually like drop it, but the country that I will be moving to in Europe [music] is Portugal. I am moving to [music] Lisbon in Portugal, which I am very excited about. Many reasons have gone into this. I know I mentioned that like there is a cost of living crisis globally. Ireland is very expensive at the moment and people were like, "Oh, it can't be Lisbon because Lisbon is quite expensive." I know it's relatively speaking quite expensive. Most places in Europe at this point are quite expensive. If I was exclusively looking for the cheapest place possible, I would have obviously not chosen Lisbon. But I've traveled there a couple times, absolutely loved it. Of course, traveling somewhere on a holiday is going to be completely different to living there. So, I get there's a lot of unknowns. I could absolutely hate it. And I just like, you know what? This isn't for me. But the point of this whole thing is that I'm just full sending it. Nothing crazy structured in place in terms of a plan. I'm just going see what happens [music] and we'll figure things out day by day. And that's like what I actually want. I don't want to have this whole like crazy structured thing.
Now, in saying that, although I don't want to have everything too structured, I still need to be able to live somewhere and figure things out from there. So, hopefully I've already seen some people in my previous video saying, "If you're in Lisbon, let me know." So, I'm going to put out a little bat signal and ask if there is anyone who like knows landlords, if there is anyone that like can help me out from like a a functioning standpoint, that would be amazing. Obviously, if people want to just meet up, I'll have no friends. So, just like DM me. Unless you're like going to murder me or something, then please just don't do that. If you're a goodwilled person and you're cool, then just DM me and we can figure something out. Again, I'm not moving officially until the 28th of April. So, it'll be a while, but obviously I'll need some time to kind of like figure things out and [music] maybe do background checks on people to make sure they're not going to bring me up to the mountains and butcher me.
So, yeah, that's pretty much it. I mean, I just wanted to come on here and actually just fill you guys in because again, I just left so much open for speculation, which was fun because people were just [music] guessing crazy places. And again, I seen Romania. I seen like [ __ ] Azerbaijan. Madagascar was being like it was just you were just being done. Yeah, the cat's at the bag. I'm going to Lisbon in April. Please [music] save your horror stories, you know? I don't need to hear them. People I know the comments will be like, "Oh, I was in Lisbon when I was 15 and there like it's already done. All right? I don't need the horror stories. I only need the positive stories. That's all I'm looking for here. I don't need all the, you know, you can be constructive with it. The dos and don'ts. Again, I've been there a couple of times. I've done a lot of research myself. I've spoken to a lot of people that have lived there that are still living there. So, I know kind of what's to [music] expect roughly. Again, from traveling there, I like the vibe. There's going to be a lot of unknowns that I'll just have to figure out. But that's my dog is trying to get in. Mowgli, do you want to get in? Yeah, we'll get Mowgli in now. This fella I'll miss a lot, won't I? Are you even focused? I'll miss you a lot, won't I?
