God, I'm just going to say it the way it actually feels, not the way I think a Christian should say it. I'm lonely and I'm tired of pretending it doesn't bother me. I feel this emptiness in my chest that I can't explain to anybody. I don't even know what to do with it anymore.
Some days it feels like I'm surrounded by people and still invisible. Some days it feels like nobody even knows who I am underneath the surface. And honestly, Lord, some nights I wonder why you let this ache stay.
I'm trying, God. I'm trying to be strong. I'm trying to trust you. I'm trying to keep my head up. But loneliness has a way of getting inside my thoughts when everything gets quiet. It whispers things that I know aren't true, but they still hit hard. Like I'm forgotten, unwanted, replaceable, easy to walk away from. God, I hate feeling like this. I hate that part of me wonders if I did something wrong, if I'm too much, if I'm not enough, if this is just how life is going to be.
I know your word says you're close to the brokenhearted, but right now I'm asking you to make that real in a way that I can actually feel. Not just read, not just remember, but feel. Because I'm worn out from carrying this silence inside me. And God, I know you see the parts of me no one else does. The parts where I pretend I'm fine. The parts where I act like I don't need anyone. The parts where I laugh and talk and move on with my day, but deep down I'm craving connection that doesn't disappear.
I'm asking you, please come into this quiet place inside me. Sit in it with me. Make it a place you feel instead of a place I fear. Remind me that I'm not alone, even when everything in me says I am. Remind me that you haven't forgotten me. Remind me that loneliness doesn't mean abandonment. It's just a space you haven't filled yet.
Teach me to trust your timing, even when it feels slow. Teach me to rest in you, even when my heart feels scattered. Teach me to believe you still write good stories even when this chapter feels empty.
God, I don't want to fake anything with you. So here I am, lonely, hurting, waiting, but still yours. And even though I feel alone, I'm choosing to believe this isn't the end of my story. I'm choosing to believe you're doing something I can't see yet. I'm choosing to believe that one day I'll look back and understand why this season had to happen.
Until then, stay close. Hold me when no one else does. Speak when silence gets heavy. And give me hope when my heart gets tired. Because even in this, even in loneliness, you're still here. You're still God. And you're still writing something beautiful out of what hurts right now.
