Transcription

Hello students, this is class two of the Basic Computer Training Course, in which we are teaching you to operate a computer from the beginning. If you have directly come to class two, then first watch class one, in which we have taught you to operate a computer right from the very start, meaning from how to start a computer. You will learn to perform many tasks on the computer, such as opening programs on the computer, minimizing, maximizing, and closing windows, creating desktop shortcuts, showing, hiding, and resizing desktop icons, creating folders on the desktop. Besides this, you will learn to perform many other tasks. So, without taking up too much of your time, let's start directly. Before proceeding further in the video, if you want to become a master in computers, then definitely subscribe to Easy Tech Class. So, first of all, let's learn how to open any program application like Google Chrome, MS Word, Excel. Whichever program you want to open, if it is showing on the desktop screen, then what will you do? You will take the mouse cursor over the shortcut icon of that program, then you will press the left button of the mouse twice, which is also called double-clicking. You can see that the program has opened. This is the program window. In this, on the right side, at the very top, you will see three buttons, which we use frequently. Among these, the first is the minimize button, then the maximize, and if you click on the very last one, your open window will be hidden. To open this window again, click on the icon of that program in the taskbar. When I say click, it means left-click of the mouse. The second is the maximize button in the middle. Since the window is already maximized, this option has now changed to the restore down button. As soon as you click on it, the window will become smaller to its previous size, and the restore down button will change to the maximize button. If you want to make its size smaller or larger, then take the cursor to any corner of this window. Now, as soon as the cursor changes to a drag icon, press and hold the left click, then drag towards the left side to make it smaller and towards the right side to make it larger. To maximize the window again, press the maximize button. There is a close button. If you click on it, the window will close, or you can say the program will close. You can also open the program in another way. For this, take the cursor over the program icon and press the right click. Now, in the pop-up menu, click on the open option at the very top. If you want to open any pinned app from the taskbar, then directly left-click on it. You do not need to double-click here. You can also open any program from the Start Menu. For this, click on the Start button at the bottom left. Now, whichever program you want to open, scroll through this app list, find it, and take the cursor over it. The program will open. You can also open it by searching the name of that program in the search bar. So, let's now learn to create program shortcuts on the desktop. If you want to bring any program to the desktop screen like this, then you have to create its shortcut on the desktop. For that, click on the Start button at the very bottom. Now, find that app in this list and place the cursor over it and press the right click of the mouse. Now click on the More option, then click on Open file location. Now, in the pop-up menu, click on Create shortcut at the bottom. Now click Yes. [Music] [Music] Again, left-click on it and hold the button, and drag it to the desktop where you want to place it. Besides this, right-click anywhere on the desktop screen. Now, in the pop-up menu, click on the New option at the bottom. Now select the folder where the app folder or file is, and click OK. Now click Next and then click on this. You can see that the desktop shortcut of that folder has been created. So, using these three methods, you can create desktop shortcuts for any file, folder, and app like this. If the Recycle Bin is not showing, then click on the Start button for that. Now, under Related Settings on the right side, click on Desktop Icon Settings. From this menu, you can hide and show default desktop icons. To show them, check the box, then click OK. Now we will close these windows. If you want to keep many files in one place on your desktop screen, then you can create a folder for them on the desktop and keep those files inside it. Click on the New option. [Music] Then you can use the Refresh button. So yes, refreshing does not make your PC faster. So, refreshing the desktop is very easy. Right-click on any empty space on the screen, then click on the Refresh option. Whatever changes you have made on the desktop will be updated. If you want to customize the taskbar according to your preference, such as pinning apps in the launch area here, or unpinning some apps from here, selecting which icon will show here and which will not, or if you want to change the background color of the taskbar, and even want to place the taskbar at the top or side instead of the bottom, then you are going to learn all this now. Let's learn to pin the taskbar first. If there are some apps that you use frequently, then you can pin them to the taskbar. What will happen is that whenever you want to open them, you will not have to search for them, but they will be visible to you. So, to pin, type the name of that app in the search box. You can see that you are getting the option to Pin to Start here. Click on it. You can see that the icon of this app is starting to show. Besides this, if you want to start, meaning if you want to pin here, then you have to click on Pin to Start. If you want to remove it, then right-click on it and click on Unpin from Taskbar. Now, if you want to change the location of the password on the screen, then under Taskbar Location on Screen, click on the box. By default, Bottom is selected, so we are seeing the taskbar at the bottom. You can place it at any of the four corners of the screen, such as left, top, right, and bottom. Let's select the right position. Although bottom is the most suitable position. Now, for example, if I don't like these News and Interests here, then I will turn off Show News and Interests. There are many settings here, but it is not possible to explain all of them in one video. Firstly, they are not that important, and secondly, it will make the video very long. So, if you want a detailed video, leave a comment below. If more people request it, I will definitely make a detailed video on this. So, from here you can also change the background color of the taskbar. For that, click on Colors on the left side. Then, in the Choose Your Color box, select Windows Dark Mode. You will not be able to change the background of the taskbar in light mode. [Music] [Music] Finally, check the Start Taskbar and Action Center checkbox. You can see that the background color of the taskbar has changed. Besides this, the background of the taskbar menu and the Action Center has also changed. Now we will close it. Now, if you want to change the Windows theme, then you can see the Themes option on the left side here. Click on it. Now, under Change Theme, themes are showing. You can test and see which theme is more attractive. And as soon as we click on it, you can see that the colors of the links have changed. The colors below the icons in the taskbar have also changed here, and besides this, the background image of the desktop will also have changed. If you do not like the themes given here, then you can click on Get More Themes and download other Windows themes from the Microsoft Store. Now, if you want to change the desktop background wallpaper, then right-click on the screen for this. Then, in the pop-up menu, click on the Personalize option at the very bottom. Now, here in Choose a Picture, you can select the given images, or you can click on the Browse button and choose any picture from your computer. So, we will select this picture from here, and then close the window. You can see that the background picture has changed. If you want to resize the desktop icons, then right-click on the desktop. Then, in the View menu, set the size of the icons to Large, Medium, or Small. So, this is enough for Day Two's computer class. I hope you have learned a lot of new things today. It is not necessary that you learn everything in one day, but whatever you learn, learn it in such a way that you do not need to learn it again. If you are liking this computer training series, then definitely like this video and do not forget to subscribe to Easy Tech Class at all, because these are the things that help a creator make more useful content for you. So, see you then, take care of yourself. Goodbye.
