I just got what's basically a robot vacuum for my pool, except it docks itself, charges itself, and empties itself. It's called the Wybot S3 robotic pool cleaner.
So, I made the pool dirty on purpose. I put debris on the floor and let it run. On the first run, it scans the pool and creates a 3D map. It's using AI vision to detect debris and adjust how it cleans. So, it not only cleaned the floor, it started cleaning my walls and the waterline.
The underrated part is the app still works underwater. I can see where it is, switch modes, and send it back to the dock from my phone. Then, it charges there with solar or DC power. And this is the crazy part. It literally empties the debris out of the robot into a 10-liter bin. It's not even like a pool robot anymore. It's like a full pool maintenance system that's set it and forget it.
