Ever wondered why Hulk only respects Captain America out of all the Avengers? Hulk and Bruce Banner never really got along. Bruce once admitted he even tried to end himself, but Hulk wouldn't let him. That's how deep their conflict goes.
Now, when Thor fought Hulk in Avengers, Thor made one big mistake. He called him Banner. That single word triggered Hulk even more. And in Thor Ragnarok, Thor repeats the same mistake. Hulk gets furious and growls, "Hey, Banner. No banner, only Hulk."
But here's what makes Cap different. He never treated Hulk like a monster or a mistake. He spoke to him directly with respect, calling him Hulk. And Hulk smash. And that's the reason Hulk listens to Captain America, not out of fear, but respect.
