Hello again everyone. Welcome to Washington Gun Law TV. I'm Washington Gun Law President William Kirk. Thanks for joining us.
Hey, we're going to do a followup to this video and I appreciate everyone who checked it out. And we said at the time that we were doing that video that, hey, we're not necessarily going to dig in on an opinion. Is this justified? Is this murder? Because candidly, I and all of you, there's a lot more evidence that we don't know about that we've got to see first before we can really start formulating an educated opinion. And keeping true to what we do here at Washington Gun Law, we're not going to operate like we're in the court of public opinion. We're instead going to operate like we're in the court of law. Which means when additional evidence is discovered, we want to show it to you and then ask you, does this change your mind at all? And that's exactly what we're going to do today because there has been additional video footage. Plus, there is a video that was on the previous video that some people were concerned about and we need to address that as well. So, today let's get everyone educated once again and let's talk about does this change your perspective about the Minnesota ice shooting at all?
Okay, America, we're going to circle back to this terrible incident that's kind of captured the nation's attention which took place in Minneapolis a couple of days ago involving an ICE officer and a fatal shooting. Now, I get that everyone, especially out there on the social media platforms, all have very strong opinions about what happened, but one thing we've noticed here at Washington Gun Law is no one actually tunes in to hear our opinion, but they do tune in to get educated. And that's what we're going to try to do today with you once again. So, we're going to give you some updates, some additional facts, and then we'll ask you, what do you think now? Did it change your mind? Does it make you believe even more firmly in your original position? That's going to be today's question.
Okay. Now, I want to address one thing. There was this clip right here which we used in our first video and I had some viewers concerned that it was AI. We went out and did some very thorough research to find out was this an AI generated image. There was no proof that it was an AI generated image. Now there were also some who had claimed that the video was sped up like a self-defense instructor in Tennessee who spent most of yesterday trying to play a game of gotcha with me through text message. also the same self-defense instructor that thought this was cold-blooded murder, but the Ashley Babbot murder was completely justified. But I digress. We again tried to determine whether or not that video had been sped up or not could not come to any actual conclusion. So I want you to know that there is some skepticism about that video clip and that should or at least could affect what weight you attach to it. Okay?
But with that in mind, another video clip has surfaced basically from the same angle. And we want to show that to you cuz it goes a little something like this. Okay. So, does that change your perspective on what weight you want to attach to that second video that we used on our first video about this thing, or does that more affirm your original position? But then, and this is probably the big video to have surfaced yesterday, is a video that was captured by, I believe, the ICE agent who actually fired the fatal shots. And I want you to pay attention to this video because it goes like this.
Merry Christmas. >> That's fine, dude. >> I'm not mad, boy. >> Show your face. >> I'm not mad. >> It's okay. We don't change our plates every morning. Just so you know, it'll be the same plate when you come talk to us later. That's fine. US citizen, former [ __ ] president. You want to come at us? You want to come at us? I say go get yourself some lunch, big boy. Go ahead. >> Out of the car. Get out of the car. Get out of the car. >> Okay.
So, that gives us one of the things that we always have a problem. We're trying to decipher as defense attorneys, what happened through police reports because it never gives us the context in which it occurred. But when you actually get to hear the words and kind of feel the atmosphere, the emotional atmosphere of what's going on, that certainly provides a clearer picture. Now, on a side note, I want you to know that there is another video. We're not going to show it, but it kind of looks a little something like this in which the deceased's wife states that this is all her fault, that she made her come down here and things like that. We're not going to necessarily focus on that video because while I agree that she may be responsible for bringing the deceased now down to that area, as a criminal defense attorney now for 30 years, I have found that almost all of my clients in fact were victims of their own poor choices. I also recognize out there that many of you are making a big deal about how far they traveled. There is at least rumors swirling around that they may have traveled as far as 500 miles, that they may have been following ICE agents all day. There's also a lot of chatter about one of the children and what school they were attending. I'm not going to focus on any of that because you want to know why none of it matters. And let me also point out that the people who are focusing on this kind of stuff are also the ones that were infuriated when the prosecution was focusing on all the activity that Kyle Writtenhouse had engaged in prior to going to Kenosha. So ultimately this case, very similar to the one I just mentioned, it's all going to come down to what happened during a few seconds at this moment in time right here. Okay.
Now, of course, even though you may formulate what you believe happened, you have to then compare that to the law to see, is this legally justified or is this potentially criminal activity. How do you do that? Well, you can check out the previous video we did where we discussed the law in great detail or I've just gone ahead and placed the text of all three applicable laws right down there in the description box. So, this is a longer than normal description box.
So, America, many of you have already stated very, very strong opinions. I heard from lots of you in yesterday's video. I want to know, does this new evidence, does it change your mind or does it make you even more firm in your previous convictions? Tell us all about it by commenting in the description box below.
Okay, now listen. If you guys got any questions about this or anything else related to what's left of our Second Amendment rights, you guys should know how to get a hold of Washington gun law by now. But if you don't, that's okay. That information is down there in the description box. If you got an idea for a video that we should do around here, you click on that link right there to tell us all about it. If you want to subscribe to our monthly newsletter and see all the really cool stuff that we don't get to talk about here, there's a link in the description box for you to do that. And then finally, and most importantly, let's everyone remember that part of being the lawful and responsible gun owner, like we talk about all the time here, is to know what the law is in every situation and how it applies to you in any instance that you may find yourself. Until next time, thanks for watching and stay safe.
