Do you understand that it's a unified response to the moving of the spirit that God looks for? We must be more than me and my must become a we.
Even in a church service like this, we walk in, and if we're not careful, it's all about me and my feelings. I'm not going to praise the Lord because me and my don't feel like it.
But we ought to praise the Lord because we understand that we're creating an atmosphere for we. And maybe you don't need a blessing, but there may be somebody who's had the worst week they've ever had in their life sitting right behind you.
And you can create an atmosphere when you get your mind off me and my and say, "We need You, God. We need You." Maybe I'm not desperate this week, but I might be next week, and I need somebody to praise the Lord with me. Together, we can magnify the Lord.
