Hi everybody, welcome back. Thanks for joining me for another Royal News video. It's now the official countdown to Christmas. This is where everybody starts getting stressed and tense because you're trying to remember who you need to buy for, who did you buy for, where have you put the presents, because some of you out there have tried to be organized. I tried it this year and I've bought little bits and bobs and now I can't find where the bits and bobs are. And then when I do find a bit of Bob or a little bit of Bit, I can't remember who I was actually intending that to go to. So, I've still managed to try and be organized yet created my own little Christmas chaos.
But away from me and my Christmas dramas, we have got some news to do with the drama llamas of Monteito, who turned around and accuse other people of creating a public drama. They don't want to be dragged into the public sphere as they constantly brief the media. But we're not going to start off with them because we like starting off with some real royal news. And who better to start off with than the Prince of Wales.
On the 9th of December, Prince William visited the headquarters of Centerpoint in London to mark the 20th anniversary of his patronage of the organization, which was once a role held by his mother, the late Princess Diana, who held it from 1992 up until her passing. Centerpoint was created in 1969 when Reverend Kenneth Leech opened the first night shelter in a church in Soho, London. The charity is dedicated to tackling youth homelessness and supports young people aged between 16 to 25.
Now, Prince William is not the only relative of the late Princess Diana that still supports the organization because Prince William's rather glamorous cousin. I mean, he's got a couple of them to be honest with you. But Lady Kitty Spencer is also an ambassador of the charity and she was photographed recently on Sunday attending the Centerpoint Christmas Carol. Prince William took over as patron in 2005 and once in 2009 to raise awareness of the organization and what they do. He slept on the streets for the evening with long-term friend and centerpoint CEO See Oberin who was there to meet Prince William as he arrived at the new offices to get the party started with a very impressive cake which Prince William had the honor of cutting made by celebrity baker Juliet Seir who is also an ambassador for the charity. She had baked a chocolate tear just for Prince William as she knows it's his favorite. We did get a little glimpse into Prince William's chocolate cravings earlier in the year when he attended the Women's Institute with the Princess of Wales and it was made very clear that he is very very particular with what is allowed into a brownie mix.
Whilst at the new offices, Prince William met with staff and also people who had been helped by the charity, which one adorable little baby clearly became infatuated with the giant prince making lovely faces at him. Whilst he was taking a tour of the new offices, he added to the wall of hope, which was created by artist Lre Oligi. Prince William's commitment to helping the homeless was ingrained in him from such a young age by his mother, Princess Diana, who took both sons to homeless shelters when Prince William was just 11 years old. Prince William has often spoken about the impact and the powerful message it had for him at such a young age to see people living in a world so very different to the one of which he was born in. In one interview he said, "I was very struck by the people I met and what they were struggling with sleeping rough sofa surfing and not having the basic comforts that a lot of us take for granted."
The Prince of Wales has been raising awareness for various homeless charities and causes for decades, also aiming to change people's perceptions of what it's like to be homeless and how easy it can happen. The Royal Foundation's Homewoods Initiative was created a few years ago, which is aiming to help the sadly increasing crisis in the country, focusing on prevention to try and stop people becoming homeless in the first instance with an emphasis on helping young people who so very often slip between the cracks. Obviously, homelessness affects people of all ages and there's still a horrible stigma surrounding people that are on the streets with an expectation that these people should just get a job. And it really, really is not that easy. And a lot of people aren't exactly sitting there freezing cold in dirty clothes because they have chosen to be there. Many people do need help. Many people just don't know how to get help. I think it's wonderful that he's continuing his mother's legacy in such a way of which I'm sure and I have no doubts that she would be incredibly proud of.
Center points Mr. Obin said of his friend that he made it clear in the beginning that he did not want to be an ornamental patron and he has been true to his word in every sense. Prince William honors his mother's memory by continuing to help people. He's not walking in her footsteps, but rather creating his own that will also have a lasting legacy one day, of which he may soon be introducing to his eldest son, Prince George. It's been reported that Prince William is hoping to take Prince George with him soon to meet with some of the amazing people that have inspired him. It's obvious that by Diana showing her sons that another world existed outside of palaces, castles, and staff, and how incredibly privileged that they were to be born into the world that they were. It's clearly had a lasting impact on her eldest where he is still very focused on using his special position in life to drive actual change to genuinely help others that find themselves in this terrible situation. One son actually walks the walk while the other one, the younger one who also went there, his world doesn't seem to be that focused anymore on helping others because he simply talks the talk, but it's always now accompanied with a big fat paycheck.
Although probably not as big and fat as was once predicted. So Harry appeared at the real estate conference dubbed Canada's best political affairs conference. Now, thankfully, he wasn't there to talk politics, nor was he there to talk about real estate, which obviously I think to most of us, Harry will know absolutely nothing about both of those subjects. So, why was Harry there? Well, he was simply there. And in the own words of the advertisement to get people to buy tickets, for people to come and stare at, for people to come and meet him. This is a man that once complained about being in the royal family was like the Truman Show. But it's okay now because Harry gets paid for the appearances. This is the influence from his wife who once was doing a walkabout in Australia to cheers and crowds and people wanting to give her gifts and wish her well. And she said that she couldn't believe that she wasn't being paid for it.
Now Harry's appearance came with strict rules as well. No media were allowed and guests were also not allowed to film or photograph him whilst he was speaking unlike all of the other guest speakers. So, you think to yourself, or at least I did, why did he not want to be filmed? Is it because he didn't want people, the public, to see what a tiny, tiny conference he was actually at? Did he not want people to see perhaps empty seats, people looking at their phone, perhaps going to the bar or having a toilet break whilst he was speaking? Because it did come down the grape vine that people weren't really that interested. But it's because Harry regurgitates the same stuff over and over and over because he's got nothing to add to any of the conversations at these conferences. No matter where he's paid to appear, no matter what the conference or the expo is actually about, Harry gives the same speech because he's got nothing to add. Unless of course you now start counting his attempt to come across as funny and light-hearted again because he appeared at another paid-for-play speech at the British American Business Council in Los Angeles. Another subject that, let's be honest, Harry knows absolute zilch about. And it gave him another chance to take aim at President Trump again where he made a joke about the World Cup and the fact that it's being held stateside next year. All very exciting. that he said about the English and Scottish fans may not be able to get through customs and ice, which is quite a big conversation obviously to do with Donald Trump's um politics. Well, I'm pretty certain at this point anyway that there's plenty of Americans looking up at Harry given another pointless, boring speech, thinking to themselves, "If only immigrations and customs had actually thrown you out of the country." And the fact that he keeps trying to poke the bear, I can't help but feel is Harry deliberately trying to get deported. Not because I believe he wants to go back to his family. I believe it would be because he wants to create the drama. Could you imagine if he did actually get booted out of the country? Harry would start another lawsuit. There would be countless daily articles about it. Harry and Megan thrive on that sort of attention. And that's why his next dig that he did at his family is ironic.
People sometimes ask if growing up in the royal family was a bit like Downtown Abbey. Yes, but only one of those worlds is filled with drama, intrigue, elaborate dinners, and marriages to Americans. The other is a TV show. Hilarious. He and Megan must be having some sort of joke school training at the moment by the same person. But Harry wants people to laugh at his jokes about the royals and it tends to fall flat. A because he's not funny and B he is a punchline himself. Maybe if he gave up his royal titles and actually lived as Harry Mountbatten-Windsor, the jokes might actually come across a bit better. But he wants people in one breath to laugh at his royal jokes and about his family and his upbringing whilst he's still demanding that he and his wife and his children are treated like royals, which I will be talking more about that in my next video. But for him to talk about one has drama, the other does not. The drama for the royal family in the modern generation started the day that this woman got her toes behind the palace walls. And it has never ever stopped. And it's still going strong to this very day.
Ever since that first dramatic statement that Prince William told Harry not to do where he told the press to back off of his girlfriend and to stop being racist towards her, the dumb-struck, love-struck fool could not see that he was doing Megan a favor by doing that. He could not see that she was setting up patrols over in Canada. The fact that she was milking it, she was hinting, wearing matching bracelets, dropping little things on her Instagram. She wanted it to go public. And the way that she did it was she manipulated Harry's noodle and acted like that she was being stalked and hounded and harassed by the paps. Of course, triggering his trauma over how he's lost his mother and the anger. But of course, all it did was confirm that he was in fact going steady with Meghan Markle, the unknown actress that nobody had really ever heard of or really cared about. It was about him confirming to the world that they were together so the cash-in could truly begin. All of the drama that happened in the buildup to their wedding, right when it all kicked off with Thomas Markle and the photos, well, it's like we've got back into a time machine. It's happening again. There is a current tennis match with press briefings going back and forth with the entire Markle family that I think has given a lot of people whiplash. But much like 2018, rather than it being the Markles who Megan subtly swipes out and says that they're dragging something into the public domain, I believe it's actually Megan fueling this. I believe that Megan thrives of this sort of drama. There's a reason why she's given Thomas Markle a letter, and I believe it's because she wants that letter leaked at some point. Maybe we'll even get the five friends speaking to People magazine to try and poke Thomas Markle so he does lose his temper and say, "You want to see the letter? Here's the letter."
Now, of course, no drama when it comes to Harry and Megan would be complete unless they've made a swipe at the British media, which they have done so again. And in this instance, it's actually at the Mail. Megan's spokesperson has come forward and said, "Given that a Daily Mail reporter has remained at her father's bedside throughout, broadcasting each interaction and breaching clear ethical boundaries, it's been exceedingly difficult for the Duchess to contact her father privately despite her efforts over the past several days. With the support of reliable and trusted contacts, her correspondence is now safely in his hands." But in giving this statement, what it does, and this is a game plan that I've seen Megan and her staff do, obviously under orders from Megan as well. What it does is it then proves that Megan has now officially given her father a letter. So, she's put that into the public domain. She has now confirmed to the world that she has officially made contact. So, of course, now the pressure will be on trying to work out what's on that letter. But what did she say? What will it take to get Thomas Markle to leak it? Because I'm 99% certain she would have written that letter designed for public consumption just like she did the last one.
If Megan truly just wanted to speak to her father and she's got someone that she trusts that's reliable. There's rumors it was apparently government officials that have gone over. I've no idea how a private citizen could get such a thing to happen. But why not go over with a phone? With a secure phone that nobody has got time to tap or to record if she trusts them to hand over a letter. Why not just give him the phone? They can have a private conversation and then it would simply be a case of he would only be able to relay anything that she said to him rather than having a physical copy. I'm telling you, this drama is only ramping up. Now, as for Megan's swipe at Caroline Graham being unethical, well, I'm sorry. I think that she should just be grateful that there was someone else other than her brother that was out there supporting her father whilst he went through something as traumatic as that. It's been reported quite a few times that Caroline Graham is actually friends with Thomas Markle. She apparently got very friendly with him back in 2018 when this story broke. And again, just to remind people, Jeff Raina was the paparazzi photographer that apparently was involved with setting up Thomas Markle, who Megan has worked with since. He took photographs when they were in LA together, and he also took photographs of Doria. You cannot tell me that these photographs were not set up. Look at the sign that's directly underneath Doria. Megan's mole found these photographs. I hadn't seen them before, but it's just further proof that Megan had no problems with Jeff Raina, only her father, which I've always been suspicious of that Megan helped set him up because she never wanted him at the wedding.
But DMG, who are the Daily Mail's parent company, have also given a statement. They've stated that not only is Caroline friends with Thomas Markle, but Thomas once he gave his consent to Caroline, she provided the name of the hospital, the contact information, and even the room number to Megan's spokesperson. They added, "It's also entirely untrue that each interaction has been broadcast, and the suggestion that Caroline breached ethical boundaries is demonstrably false and venomously denied." I would say that's actually got a slight legal threatening undertone to it because Megan at the end of the day is accusing Caroline Graham of being unethical and breaking boundaries. I mean that's a defamation lawsuit. Perhaps Megan could do with a dose of her own medicine. But their statements is quite telling because what they've actually done by fighting back, they have in fact confirmed that Megan was given the hospital details, the room number, contact details. She could have easily contacted her father and she refused to do so. Instead, we got the email, then we've got this letter. It's obvious that Megan is milking this situation.
Now, as for her father being in bed with the media or, you know, in this instance, the Mail figuratively and literally because she was right next to his bedside, Megan's a fine one to talk here really. Again, the hypocrisy, because she and Harry have given plenty of exclusives to the editor at large of the Mail on Sunday, Charlotte Griffiths. And not only that, we can't forget about Harry and Megan's dear, dear, dear friend who is also a writer at the Daily Mail, Briany Gordon. They literally have their own people working for that newspaper. They only don't like it when something is written that's unfavorable about them. So, as I said, this is hypocrisy at its finest. And I personally think that Megan is thriving off the drama. For Harry to talk about his family is more dramatic than the TV show Down Abbey. You married the drama. You are the drama. If Megan was truly a decent human being and a humanitarian at her core, she would have simply picked up the phone after the last two strokes that her father had. At the very, very least, she could have paid his medical bills. This is a multi-millionaire. I dread to think the medical cost that Thomas has actually managed to incur. Send him a get-well card and say, you know, I don't want to talk to you anymore, but I've I've covered your medical bills. But this is Megan, and I don't think that Megan deep down is a human being. Because to be a human being, you need to have a heart. And Megan has proved time and time again that is something that she certainly doesn't have. I'm telling you, it's not there. It's definitely just a black void perhaps where one used to be many, many years ago.
So guys, that's it for me on this video. I will be back with you very soon where we have got some Queen Camilla news and we've also got, funnily enough, another story to do with Harry and it actually relates to what Queen Camilla's been up to. So join me soon and take care for now.
