healing isn’t sage and softness. it’s shadow. it’s blood.

These Men Ain’t Shit™1:40

Transcription

We've spent 23 episodes naming it. The silence, the cycles, the system that broke our families and called it culture. And if you've made it this far, you're probably asking, "So now what?"

Healing starts when you stop performing. When you stop pretending that pain makes you stronger, because it doesn't. It makes you harder, colder, tighter in your chest. And that's not strength, that's survival.

Healing means calling out the things that you were raised to call normal. It means loving your kids in a language that you were never taught. It means apologizing, repairing yourself, breaking the habits that feel like home because they came from people who were supposed to love you.

This isn't some cute little kumbaya moment. This is messy. Grieving your childhood while raising your own kids, owning the harm that you caused while learning where it came from? Or how about forgiving someone who never even said sorry? That's healing.

It's not just sage therapy and moon water. It's looking in the mirror and shaking hands with the version of you who only knew survival. It's actively choosing every damn day to stop passing that version down to the people that you love. Because if you don't, your pain becomes their inheritance. These men ain't. So light the damn match. Because if you don't face your shadow, your children will.
