It is the destiny of every human being who incarnates on this planet to go through the process of individuation. Creation of the false sense of self, the ego. It is at one level a game of forgetfulness that we have all agreed upon. Without which none of this would be possible.
[music] Willingly we create the story of the self. And like the programming of a computer >> [music] >> we decide upon our likes and dislikes, our opinions, [music] our allegiances. We form our social self. And the ego acts as a shield protecting us from the onslaught of an often cruel world.
At the same time that very protection isolates [music] us and separates us, leaving us cast adrift in a mental and rational perspective. As a child though there was a brief time before this shield was created when you were your authentic self. Free, >> [music] >> spontaneous, nothing yet was wrong and magic [music] was possible.
Part of the spiritual quest is to recapture [music] your true authentic self. Because this part of you is and was always free. [music] It does not need to develop, to heal, or to [music] become simply because it was always whole.
>> [music] >> But first, you must use this lifetime to discover that there are two parts to [music] you. The dark [music] and the shining. >> [music] >> The forgetful and the ever remembered. The blame >> [music] >> and the forgiveness. Always, you are choosing.
>> [music] >> You will recognize the ego self as the story, the inner >> [music] >> narrator, who whispers to you that something is wrong and sows [music] the seeds of victimhood, pointing the finger outward at another.
>> [music] >> Your authentic self, however, embodies the original impulse [music] of the universe. And residing in a place of fullness, it desires [music] nothing for itself because it knows only wholeness. So, it seeks [music] to express its joy, to uplift, to bring communion [music] so that something new may be born. It is life looking for life in and [music] through you.
Your authentic being longs to share a secret, for it knows the truth of [music] your deepest being. It speaks to you from dreaming. It [music] whispers to you in your slumber. It says there is nothing to be fixed. [music] You are whole. You are needed. You are loved.
It asks you, "Do you [music] think that maybe you have played the game of separation long enough? It has been lifetimes. [music] You have been strong, resilient, and brave. You have won and [music] lost. You have been broken over and over. And each [music] time you rebuilt yourself. So now, should you wish, you may come [music] home once again. You may return to the fullness of your true [music] being. This is something that has always been waiting for you. For that time when you were done with [music] becoming and wish to fall back fully into being.
